I'm just curious, how did you guys hear
about URA? You have to watch the video.
Watch the video to find out.
No, we got we got a postcard and it said
come to the concerted and that was 15
years ago.
[Music]
Hi, I'm RC Gutman. My name is David
Gutman. My name is Ralay and I go to RJ
and I'm 8 years
old. My name is Sar Liva and I'm an RJ
and I'm 10 years old. My name is Shamal
Gman. I'm 13 and I go to RJ. My name is
Jakob Gman. I'm in yeshiva.
My name is and I go to Staten Island.
I'm from Staten Island. Grew up very
traditional. After we had gotten
married, we weren't religious. To my
husband's credit, he was in search. He
was in search for the meaning of life.
It was his questioning that led us into
the right direction, Jewish direction.
We received a postcard in the mail and
it was a Kaneka concert, you know, the
annual Khan concert of URA. We were
sitting by the concert, the singers,
they touched me cuz my inima was like on
fire. And all of a sudden I see all
these bakar I'm like get up and start
dancing. And like I sat there and I
looked like in every direction and I
said I don't care if anybody sees me but
I'm about to start crying. Like I said
God I want boys just like this. Like I
don't know what I have to do to get this
but like I'm ready. Meanwhile like
there's a lot to do to get that.
But the concert had a great big sign
that said want to tour. My husband sees
this and he's like oh my prayers have
been answered. Proximics is my original
uh my original kabusa that
uh Rafaim
and Orura set us up and I was soon after
learning with Alisa Rohandler. We went
to them for Shabbassam and just to see
how they conducted their shabas table
and you know spoke to their kids.
I used to bring home my Korea sheets to
my to my mom and dad and I used to help
them not help them but I used to like
teach them how to read Hebrew. I think
it was Shimit Saras like 2008 and we
actually walked over to Yeshiva Staten
Island. My husband walked in. There's so
many men around him just like flocking
and asking him like who are you? Where
you from? What could we do to help you?
He met his shabas Torah mate of 15 years
Rabbi Beerman. He just felt the love,
the love that like another Yed sees for
another Yed. My grandmother is my
unofficial Torah mate. At night, usually
I go and learn with the Bakar and Shiva
on the right over here and we've
learned. My moa approached me and said,
"Do you want to be my Torah mate?" So,
we officially became Torah mates and
Mary and I have been learning for 11
years. These are professional learners.
These are professional people that know
how to serve Hashem the best way
possible. Truthfully, this is a mistake.
And I wanted to start covering my hair.
My husband was a bit nervous. He's like
didn't think I owned my religiousness
yet. For so many years, I'm going on
like the the um of the nosay of him
saying like, you know, I don't think you
can do it when I'm like, I'm going to
prove him wrong. Meanwhile, not too long
ago, he told me. I only said it because
I knew you would do it.
If you're part of URA, you have a lot of
family. We're going to Yeah, that's
right. We're enjoying the last days of
Pesak at UA. I went to the zone for
Sukus. It was really fun. You always
feel like you're part of like one big
huge family. When we would see Kaymen on
occasion, he was always so proud that we
were achieving and growing as a Jewish
family. And he was actually the sandic
for our second son, Yakov. And it was
really a special moment. This is your
little star family, the Gutman's.
Wishing everybody a good
[Laughter]
When I was 3 years old, I went to Little
Star and I was one of like seven or
eight kids. I went to Little Star. Went
to Little Star.
I remember lots of things.
I remember.
I remember um Marisa's mac and cheese.
It was the best.
I also have one more thing to say about
Louis. remember my teacher Mina Moses
when my youngest Yoseph Kleim was
graduating little star. I wanted a
special picture just to hang up in my
house of all of my children, you know,
and my husband and I standing next to
Rafa and men. And I turned to Rabbi M. I
said, "Rabbi Mints, you helped us. These
are Sorry, I'm going to
cry. These are your grandchildren.
[Music]
This is
very well. I can honestly say like when
I watch my children and my boys dance on
Simka's Torah now like I understand like
what I asked Hashem for. It doesn't come
like in a second.
Anything that's good, you have to work
hard for. You have to put in your
effort. And I asked for it and I and I
got it.
[Music]
For the last 15 years, URA has been a
part of our lives, helping us, guiding
us. Whether my husband and I are
learning with our Torah mates or our
children went through Little Star Jewish
preschool, we really would have not
grown this far if it wasn't for UR and
Raetsz. They held our hand through
Judaism. Knowing what Hashem wants from
all of us is a is a pathway to uh to
finding happiness and finding Hashem.

Joyful Friday
night at the candle light When we greet
the shabas queen, we firmly do a test.
In just six days, the world was done.
The seventh day was rest. Oh, take a
look around you. The scenery is abound.
You know that all these wonders are
creations of a
shed. Camels, goats, and parrots.
fish and
carrots. In just six days, he made it
all the world for me and
you share. Hashem commanded us to guard
his precious shabas. He's placed it in
our trust. So we put down our hammers
and our cell phones. Take a break. We
spend time with our families. We
sanctify this day through Shabas. We
will grow strong,
elevating us with song. We feel the
shest spirit as the sun begins to set.
It's our charging
station. Our dose of
inspiration. The more you get to shove
his soul, the more it gives to you.
a kid show so grand. The money's tight.
Forget your plight. You got to
understand. The more you spend, the more
you earn. So make everything just
right. A joyful Friday night. Oh, take a
look around you.

all the world for me and you.

The zone is the place, my home away from
home. Smiles always shine and I never
feel alone.
No, it's not the mountains or the peaks
that touch the sky, but the spirit of a
child flying
high. I watched in
amazement again and
again. Precious Jewish children coming
closer to
Hashem. Praying and
learning. All while having fun. The
journey of my life has just
begun.
Our
spirit you're my
soul. The warm hands I hold on to in a
world that's dark and the
cold. Who are you guiding the spark
that's within
me? You are my new
family. You're my
spirit. You're my soul.
The story of my
future waiting to be
told. You have shown
me all that I can
be. You are my family.
[Music]
I smile proudly as I hold my scissor
tight and
read for the very first time.
Oh, I learned the holidays just one
short week
ago. Amazing things happen in the
zone. There's someone I look up to who
teaches me what's
right. Giving me a
brand
perspective on
life. I never knew learning
Torah can be so
great until the day I met my

future waiting to be told.
You have shown
me all that I
can. You are my new family.
[Music]
You okay?
[Music]
What is this for? It helps us hear you
better. It's like a mic. Is that cool?
More comfortable. The way it's going to
work is you're going to pick up the
first paper over there. You see next to
you there's some papers. So, just pick
up the first
paper and then look at it and just drop
it. What is your favorite mitzvah? Um
um I like to play clean up. Favorite
toy? playing with my brother. Why is it
a mitzvah to clean up your toys? I have
my mommy. Is it hard to clean up? Is it
annoying? Yeah, but I clean it up
anyway. I also get to duck at little
star. Who does the money go to? Hashem.
Hashem also feels happy and it's a
mitzvah. What's your favorite part of
Shabas?
Great. To set the table with my with my
family. One day when I was walking so
far away from home, I met a
little doggy who said, "Shabbat shalom.
Shabbat shalom. Shabbat shalom." And all
of the children said, "Shabbat shalom."
Yay. Amazing. Can you want to pick up
the next question?
Is it hard for you to share your toys?
Yeah. Hard? No. Yes. So, what do you do
if it's so hard?
Give it to her. You give it to her.
Anyway, we put it back. Then we hear
says sharing is caring.
That card says, "Who is your best
friend?"
Benny. Maya. My best friend is Bella.
I'll be Bella. What do you like to play
with Mara? My horse basketball. Why is
she your best friend? Cuz she's nice.
What she do that's nice?
Hug me. You want to take the next card?
The last one. This is the last one. This
is the last paper. Why do you think that
it's good to be Jewish? What do you
think? It's nice to be Jewish. So, we
show it all. Cuz then we celebrate of Ka
and we get lots of presents. I like P.
Last Ka my dad got me a flute. I love
TC. Are you proud to be Jewish?
Rabbi Mint comes to Little Star and
gives me candies.
Really? Yeah. He throws the candy if if
you get the question right. I tell a
brasha to mom and dad. Do they like when
you tell them? Yeah. What do they say
when he tells them?
I love you. You think Hashem loves you?
Yeah. Why do you think?
Cuz he loves every person. Hashem is
here. Hashem is here. Everywhere. Hashem
is here. Hashem is here. Hashem is here.
Everywhere. Hey, cutie. Hi. Be careful
with the mic. Okay.
At

road on my journey through life. I don't
know which way to
turn or which path is
right. Gazing into the
distance. The darkness seems to
part. The journey's not so
far. Cuz the truth is in my heart. I
know that I'm not alone. I know that I'm
right at home here in the zone. I'll
reach my
destiny on my journey to
eternity. I know that I'm not alone. I

life. And now I've reached the truth. I

me reach my destiny.

Mintz from URA headquarters in Lakewood,
New Jersey. It is the Uathon 2025.
Welcome. We're back again. It's actually
year 25 of the Uathon, believe it or
not. Uh join us uh this evening. Good
everyone around the world and in
Lakewood, New Jersey here near URA as we
celebrate a night of Kira, a night of
this organization that means so much to
all of us, URA, and the wonderful work
that it does. Of course, there are
special prizes as well. This is the um
this is the night that finally the
auction will be
drawn and everybody can win their
fabulous prizes. My name is Alan
Schwarz. Along with me tonight is my
co-host and former second sator Kusa
Harava going verish Brody who has a long
history with URA. Uh he's been a
volunteer for URA for over 25 years and
he has had his hand in nearly every
facet of the organization especially the
money. He's been involved in everything
from uh organizing
makas for hundreds of ura families. Uh I
remember back in the day when he would
coordinate the the purim groups uh to
collecting uh for ura. Do we still do
that by the way? Do bakram still collect
for ura and purum? Yes, somewhat.
Somewhat. Okay. And uh he's also uh uh
he's also an outstanding speaker and
perhaps later on uh I'm told he may
actually do some of his for us. We might
we may be able to hear that and that
would be obviously very exciting. Uh
he's a Baltilov for Russashana at the
zone. I've had the privilege of hearing
him multiple times. Uh and he's an
alumnest of the
yeshiva of Riverdale as well as
Bishkavoa and uh he is uh he's just
wonderful and we're so happy to have him
here with us. Thank you. Welcome back.
And after such introduction, I'm going
to have to respond to you. Uh oh. But
we'd like to have as the host who's been
hosting this as he said 25 years. 25
is and he should get a he should
continue
going needs no introduction but just a
little bit about himself. He's a
multi-talented longtime friend of Ura
and has been hosting the Uratan since
its inception in the year 2000. He's a
man of many voices, man of many hats,
many tricks and best buddies with Fish
of course who's going to be coming on
very soon. Rabbi Schwarz has been
involved in in many capacities for many
years. He's a licensed mental health
counselor, the director of crisis
intervention of
Bina. He maintains a private practice in
Brooklyn and Lakewood and an auctioneer
par excellence as you'll see tonight.
Oh, thank you very much. Uh thank you
very much, Beerish. And we're really
excited uh to be with you here tonight.
We have an absolutely amazing program
coming your way. First of all, obviously
is the auction. Everybody get online at
uraction.org. org. Pick some prizes, put
it in. It's still only $5 a prize. Can
you imagine that? Someone came over to
me this week and he's like, "You're
fiveish." And I was like, "Not really,
but I'm his I'm his voice." He's like,
"You I have a great way that URA can
make um a lot of money. Just double your
name. Change your name to 10ish." That
was his joke, but it's true. And URA is
still staying at $5. I don't know how
they do it with the tariffs and
everything. Inflation was still $5. St$
five. This is about the the best bang
you can get for your for your buck. So
go online at ura aauction.org or call
18777 auction. Of course we are actually
picking prizes throughout the night. So
of course we want all the yeshiva bim to
stay up till 3:30 in the morning when we
have the the grand drawing. But if
you're not able to do that, we will be
picking uh I believe a car. We'll be
picking uh uh the $5,000 prize. I mean
shait will be picking throughout the
night. So there will be prizes picked
throughout the night. We have an amazing
game. It's called the Yiddish vote. You
know, everybody's very in to to
politics. Of course, uh Rabbi Schnal
will be here. Rabbi Avi Schnal who just
had a major event in uh in Washington
DC. He's on his way uh from there now.
Uh and uh you'll be able to vote. It's
going to be an interactive mativ. You'll
vote for your situation. Uh and of
course uh for your hearts and for the
entertainment we have none other than
Hershey Weinberger together with
Stendic. They will be here in house. Uh
we'll be featuring them every hour.
Yeshiva Baka special. Yeshiva Bak
special for all those bakum. We know you
guys are our you guys are our um our
Kazak. So before we uh we're going to
switch it to Parish. He's going to he's
going to say some words and we're going
to be misspal a little bit for the matz.
Uh, I just want to let you know that the
five-ish hotline is now open. Okay, the
five-ish hour will begin shortly. You
can try and get online now at
7325ish. That's 732 f i
vih. And you can play gimme
five with fiveish. And you can win one
of these squishallows. It's a squish.
That's what it's called, a squishallow.
They're very cozy. My kids sleep with
them. Even my yeshiva bucker, he's uh
you know, they're very they're very
cozy. I do not sleep with switch. I have
nightmares. Uh when I wake up in fiveish
is looking at me in the face. We've had
uh you know, it's like a little trauma.
So the the we will actually this year in
in an event to get more people on, we're
going to actually take two contestants
at a time. So you're going to be playing
against someone. Ah, how crazy is that?
What if two people call like from the
same family and play against Is that
work? Sibling rivalry is the best. for
sure. That works too. So, it's going to
be two again. So, we're going to try and
get everybody in. We are clearing the
phone lines. There will be no no uh
what's the for it? No playing favorites,
no no no organic, no protectia. You just
got to call and if you don't get
through, you got to keep calling and
calling and calling again just like the
regular folk um this year. So, get
online
7325-ish for your chance to win a
squish. But be careful. Five-ish is
five-ish is feisty as we know from last
year. He will go after you if he feels
that you do not know the answer to a
question that you should know. So don't
stamp call up and say oh whatever
they're going to throw me some softball
question and then it's going to all be
beser fiveish is intense. Fish has
shittas and you better be prepared to go
at it with fiveish at 7325ish.
So just before we begin as mentioned
previously all the years we're still in
a mativ of especially in it's a massive
of a and a war going on. It's almost 600
days in and there's no end in sight and
Kwell is suffering. Um but more
importantly locally this week here in
Lakewood we just experienced a terrible
tragedy. The whole community is still in
shock. We're still in it. Everybody was
affected. Everybody knows somebody knew
somebody knows the families. My boys
knows knew knows is friendly with two of
the boys. So this is something that
shook each of us and everyone is is is
feeling this we
say it is you say bits or bats one is
general there is one is more specific so
tonight we include both of them together
the general
of and the one that here the lakewood
community the bim all together are
experiencing and going through this
tough time we don't ask questions we
know and we follow what tell us
it's so tonight that people are going to
want to join to mates and support and
support and bring more people close to
Hashem. It should
be for everybody right now. If you
please join me with a
to
for Israel.
[Music]
Thank you very much, uh, Rabbi Brody.
Obviously, uh, tonight, you know, we
like to have a good time. We like to be
entertaining. We like to the prizes and
things like that, but really tonight,
you know, essentially is about a very
important mitzvah. It's the mitzvah of
Chadaka, but it's also the mitzvah of of
of Kir of bringing the ribbon's children
closer and back to to Yiddish. And
that's really we shouldn't never forget.
That's really the reason why we're here.
That's the point why we're here tonight.
So, it'll be fun. It'll be entertaining.
Hopefully, it'll be inspiring. Um and um
we'll be able to uh this will be a good
night where we'll be able to accomplish
a lot for Cli. So, uh go online at
uraction.org. gura auction.org or 1877
auction. Get your tickets in. Uh we have
all sorts of amazing prizes which we'll
be telling you about throughout the
night and will be featured on the
videos. And of course the fiveish line
is open. Fiveish will be here. He's in
the building. So I'm told fiveish is
here in the building. And the fiveish
hour starts right after this.

Lakewood Commons. You also live in
Lakewood Commons. Oh my goodness. What a
coincidence. All right. Are you guys
ready to play Give Me Five? I'm the way
it's going to work is first I'm going to
go to Barak. Then I'm going to go to
Nassen, then I'm going to go to Barak.

can't repeat. So, we have to hope for a
win. But don't worry, my Lakewood Miss
Bucker, you too will get a squishallow
to keep in your dorm room and go to
sleep with as you go to sleep, I think.
So, the Lakewood Mifter Buffer has won a
fiveish
squishallow. Okay. And we'll be right
back with Fish. Let's take an inside
look at some of URA's amazing programs
and keep on calling. 7325ish.
I'd like to welcome Shim Lieberman. You
are the national director of Chillzone.
Thank you very much for coming. Tell me
Chillzone, what's it all about? So
Chillzone is the place to be. We say a
party every week. Literally a party
every week where the kids come out and
learn. They have pizza prizes. They have
a great time. The entire chill zone is
run by volunteers. Absolutely. What are
they called? The volunteers. So we have
chief chillers which are um almost like
like the local director of each
location. They're like the mini cure
center rabbis. And then we have head
chillers who are either yeshiva buckram
or high school girls for the girls
programs. And they bring that energy,
that camp vibe, that fun. Bring that.
Yeah. It sounds like a party. It is.
Still waiting for you to join. Okay. So
every week during the winter every week
during winter chill zone we have chill
zone. How many chill zones do you have?
Over 80 locations. 80 locations. We're
looking to get to incredible. Where? Uh
here there and everywhere through the
US. Canada. Wow. Uh California.
Absolutely. Calabasas. Calabasas. San
Antonio. Texas. You probably didn't know
there was Jews there. Memphis Tennessee.
Providence. Rhode Island. Boston
Massachusetts and more. Yeah. And we're
working on growing that. Greenland. Not
yet. We'd like to get to Greenland. Tell
me something that blows your mind about
Chilza. We have over a thousand kids,
sometimes even 1500 kids showing up to
come and learn every single week. And
we're not talking about kids who are in
the Lakewood. You're talking about kids
who are in public school or day school
with a very weak background. And this is
what they choose as their quoteunquote
entertainment to come out and learn. It
blows my mind. They could be doing so
many other things. You have kids. So,
first of all, a lot of these kids, this
is the first time they actually learned
something, made a braha, benched. Wow.
Just by walking in the door, they're
growing. But yes, many kids join junior
Torah mates. They come to spend summers
at their zone. They switch from public
schools to yeshivas. And you know,
that's part of our chief teller's jobs.
They get to know the families. They get
to know who's coming and they reach out
to them and they try to help them take
those next steps, whatever it may be.
Give me give me a story. Um, there's
actually a kid who's part of a biking
competition.
Um, and he was a chill zone kid or a
chiller as we call him and he's part of
a biking competition and uh the big
finale of the competition was on Chavez
and because he learned about Chavez and
attended Chozone, he said, "You know
what? I know you're not supposed to uh
do this on Chavez and I'm not going to
the biking competition." So, uh, and he
skipped it. Wow. Wow. Amazing. The
children really makes a difference to
these kids. Absolutely. Do they connect
with URA in any other way? Do they
connect with Yiddish in any other way?
Absolutely. That's the whole goal.
That's the whole point. We uh first we
want to get them to join other UR
programs because we know there's
long-term growth. If you're in a public
school and you switch to yeshiva and you
come to chill zone, you come to the zone
and you take to mates, your parents take
to mates, you come to an event,
obviously that growth is going to be uh
exponential. If you want to volunteer,
you want to be a chief chiller, head
chiller, your community needs you, cla
needs you, please email us
chillzonethezone.org work and we'll get
right back to you. Unbelievable. 5 years
or so. Rabbi Leman, been a joy. Thank
you very much, Ry Sun and Shine.
And welcome back everybody again to the
Fish Hour. And the adults who are
watching the kids, you can also enter
now the auction and win great prizes. Go

with all the Bim locally over here.
Hi everyone, my name is David Miller.
I've been with Uro many, many years. I'm
about to tell you a story of a boy that
is a story that maybe may not have that
crazy punchline of some crazy ashka
story or or whatever else but this is a
story which is so powerful and the power
of it is that it's one of over 5,000
stories that happen in URA that happen
in UA every day. This is Aaron's story.
Aaron was a boy is a boy who grew up in
Manalapin, New Jersey. He was in public
school. His parents were not religious.
At the age of about seven, eight years
old. Um he was going to third grade. He
told his parents that he does not want
to be in public school anymore. He wants
to switch out of public school. He
didn't like public school. Whatever the
reason, bullying. He didn't feel
anything. He didn't feel like he was
learning. He didn't feel it was right
for him. He wanted to go to yeshiva.
They switched him with Ura's help to
Shalom Torah Academy in Manalip in
Marorrow. And um he was there. He
enjoyed it. Shalom is a is a co-ed
school. He was there for four years
through sixth grade and after that he
decided he wanted to go to the next
level. He wanted to go to an all boys
school. He wanted to keep learning and
keep staging and with UR's help bar he
switched to Shahition in Holland Park a
great school in Holland Park. I happen
to know him personally. Great school in
Highland Park. He was there. He's still
there in 8th grade and this year he's
going to be next year. He's going to be
going to high school to a very
yeshiva in Riverdale which is a a
phenomenal pecthiva phenomenal yeshiva
phenomenal phenomenal bak phenomenal um
um at regular sturum and and regular
staging. He's trade 100% regular. This
story is one of over 5,000 stories that
happened in Uro over the years and
Barash were part of this amazing amazing
amazing amazing thing. Um Aaron is
actually here in the crowd. Aaron, could
you please come up? Wow.
Wow.
This is Aaron here
today in Shiva and going to number one.
Aaron, are you excited to go to Shiva
next year? Yeah, very excited. Very
excited. When you first switched, do you
remember when you were that little guy
in third grade? Do you remember
switching from public school to Yoshiva?
Yeah, remember. Were you nervous? What
was it like? Kind of nervous. You know,
it's always nerv nerve-wracking going
for the first day of school, especially
in a new school. Always. Especially in a
new school, but it's a whole new type of
life. It wasn't just a new school. Yeah.
And how do you and how how was it? How
long did it take you to know like this
is the right thing? A month. Two months.
Two months. Two months. Doesn't happen.
You know, think you think it happens.
You switch and everything's amazing. two
months you got into it and you knew it
was the right thing. When you switched
to was that another big step in your
life or that was just natural? How how
was that for you? It was sort of
natural. You know, I already had
experience from Shamtora. I knew how to
read, knew like how to learn Gimara. So
you knew that's what you wanted to do.
Yeah. And you were excited to go there.
Yeah. You enjoy it now and try it again?
Yeah. Enjoy. Amazing. And
Bezo, are you going next year? Are you a
little bit nervous? Yeah, a little
nervous. You met Ray Paka already? You
met him already? Yeah, I met him. You
excited? Yeah. Okay, we hope that next
year you'll have a tremendous tremendous
year
of going to keeping and give nakas to
your parents who are here today. Also, I
was here. I saw her before. Give nakas
to her and to the whole and the whole

eat whiskey at a kittish. Absolutely.

kittish. Maybe in Baltimore.
Um, my 48 is Maza. Who?

Safe. Turkey salad. Turkey sandwich.
Baltimore. Yeah. You have a turkey
sandwich at a kiddish salad. Turkey
salad. Even more Baltimore. I have to
ask the turkey salad at a
kdish. I I don't believe. Do you know
Rabbi Kulik?
Yeah. Yeah. Ask Rabbi Kulick if turkey
salad it should be served at a kdish. In
regards to the Kulick family, Yoseph and
Ellie, you have won a 5 in squishallow
which you could also eat at a kdish,
ironically.
Okay. All right, everyone.
Unfortunately, it's that time of night
where Fish has to go bye-bye and go to
sleep back inside his wallet. So, all
you Kinder who called in, thank you so
much for being tell your parents, tell
your parents to uh to call in. Tell your
parents to donate to the URA auction.
And um I am receiving I am receiving uh
1877 auction. Call 187777 auction or go
to
Uractionuction uraction.org. And I'm
being told as my phone blows up that the
turkey salad at the Kdish in Baltimore
is actually pretty pretty good. So very
good. A special uh shout out to Yseph
Yehuda Benim Newman and Sweet Cranzer of
Detroit and Freddy Pinter and everyone
else. And good night everyone.
Ra Samuels, welcome back to another
episode. Thank you so much for joining
me here. Thank you for having me. You
are the director of the newly minted
director of the program. Yes. So, let's
start. What isiggers? Tell me about the
program. U offers um the program to any
boy or girl who's considering going to
Eritis for the year after high school.
We have many kids who are coming
directly from public schools and
switching to yeshiva seminary. We saw
that a lot of these kids were not
necessarily as much as they could have
been in. And the styers program is there
to change that. Incredible. So you have
a program during the summer. Yes. You're
it's an intense program. You're working
with them. They come out pumped. They
come out ready to learn, ready to ready
to tackle Israel on their own, so to
speak, right? And then they they go
there to show. And then where does the
connection go from there? When you're
sending someone who's a newly minted
balchuva or someone with a less
affiliated background to Israel, it's
very difficult for them to be there's a
lot of things that we as people take for
granted when we send our sons and
daughters to
yes that these kids don't have. So, you
know, you're talking about Shabas,
you're talking about about about family,
just being able to, you know, go over to
your uncle's house. They don't have from
relatives like that. the relatives they
do have are not from and are, you know,
trying to get them to come for a less
than ideal Shabbat. So, it sounds like a
challenge. It definitely is a challenge.
And what we offer them is as follows. We
offer them a Torah mates program, which
means we set them up one-on-one with a
mentor, with a married either lady or
Kyan to learn with an to invite them for
Shabas, to have a second home, to be
able to feel like they have somewhere
that they could, you know, escape when
they want to take a break or whatever it
is. and they learn once a week over the
phone. So the learning is sort of serves
as a catalyst to develop a relationship
with them. Exactly. You're very good at
this sun and shine. I heard some of this
stuff before. So yes, the learning
serves as a catalyst for them to have a
a greater relationship, a long-term
relationship. You know, people are
inviting them their tomates to theiras
or you know, whatever it is. We also
have every month of Shabas Chillzone,
which there's over 80 locations of chill
zone across America. And two of the
locations are in Israel. We have one for
the boys and one for the girls. This man
we learned. We learned
paracaba from regular yeshivas bris
pragers located in yushim in the base
madish. How many guys are in the base
mish? We have probably almost 200 boys
every week. So you have an army of Torah
mates that are all volunteers and an
army of chilus that are also volunteers.
Who really knows how to do it? It's
incredible. Yes. What's motivating these
people? Why are they feeling
so I mean mat shabas you can't get me to
go out. Every yid wants to feel like
they're accomplishing and every person
wants to feel like they're giving back
and they're able to do something. Need
every Hashem does need every yid and
every needs. It was one of those things
that I was like does it's very hard to
get clarity. You ask you what he thinks
about it. But even when you come back to
America and you're landing here, the URA
is still here for you. We have our deer
program which is based in Lakewood, New
Jersey which is a house where we enable
our participants who are postikers after
their years in Israel. They could come.
We have a knacking nighter program. We
have shahakis. We have shabbasim in the
dra with rab mince coming and joining
us. So we're really working on upgrading
and fundamentally doing a total overhaul
to how we look at our alumni and making
sure that we keep them in the fold and
keep them striving long term. Okay,
Rabbi Samuels, thank you so much. What a
joy to get to know you. Thank you for
having me.
Continued with sounds incredible and I
appreciate you for taking the time to
find out more about the Stiger program.

And welcome back everyone to the
Uraathon. Special thank you to Rabbi
Berish Brody. He will be back with us
later. And of course to Fish. Thank you
so much for being here. Fish. Uh it's uh
my loss. I wasn't able to be on together
with Fish, but I always do enjoy past
him in the hallway and always do enjoy
seeing him. Raoai, it's a very special
time of night. I am joined by my co-host
for this segment with the one and only
Rabbi Avi Schnal. Have you noticed that
your tuition has gone down over the last
couple years? Have you noticed how much
your how much easier it is to live on
your uh from salary and pay for
everything? Well, with me I have the
reason why, the one and only assemblyman
for uh the state of New Jersey, Rabbi
Avi, who is also a uh beloved volunteer
friend of URA. Uh he's one of the
founding forces of URA's Chillzone. Uh
and after he served as a director of
August's New Jersey office, Rabbi Schnel
moved into the public arena as a New
Jersey assemblyman for the 30th
district. I imagine, by the way, the
30th district includes a large from
population. And he represents and works
on important legislation affecting the
Jewish community, including of course
that tuition relief that you are
feeling. Um perhaps more importantly,
he's been a dynamic co-host of the
Urathan for seven years. Rabbi Schnal,
welcome back. It is great to be back.
Another year, another exciting auction.
Yes, another very exciting auction this
year. Lots of uh lots of wonderful
prizes. The URA never never lets us
down. They never do. It's better and
better every year. Some people think
every is the same thing. It's not. Not
by UR. It's not. Not really. The only
thing that stays the same is $5. That's
right. Isn't that amazing? That's what
stays the You wish you could uh you
could fight inflation the same way Ura
fights inflation with that. You have to
learn. And did you see those squish
mellows by the way? I have a couple of
them by the way. You do have a couple
squishallows. Where you keeping them?
They really He has a couple
Squishallows. Rabbi Schnel does. That's
right. Uras. By the way, the
Squishallows are becoming a yakar mitsas
because it's actually created in a sweat
shop in in China. So the tariffs will be
hitting those. But uh but very good. So
Rab, what's been going on? Everything's
been good. Tell us a little bit about
what's been going on in the assemblymen
arena. Well, I'll tell you this right
now by the Uathon. Yes. Um, this is the
last time people to donate. Yes. No, but
tell me tell me something more more
political. Political people don't want
to hear about politics now. A little
bit. They tune to other times about
politics. What's going on? Tell us
what's going on. A lot of exciting
things, by the way. Give me Give me two
things. Give me five. Right. We just
did. Give me five. I'll tell you what.
Five political matz. I'll tell you a
good I'll tell you a good $5 number.
Okay. A five number. Five number. Yeah.
Last week. Yes. In the United States
Congress. Yes. They passed a bill in the
in the house. In the house. Yeah. For
scholarships. Tuition. The people's
house. Our house. The United States
Congress. Of five billion dollars to
help people pay tuition. Really? Isn't
that amazing? Five. Five billion. Not
four, not six. Not 10. $5 million
something to do with URA. Of course. Do
you know that there's actually an
auction prize that helps you pay
tuition? Did you know that one of the
prizes that you could put in tonight for
$5 and we will pick is is that amount by
the way is $9,000. By the way, if you
don't want to wait for Rabbi Schnel to
get you tuition relief, you can put in
the prize and we will give you tuition
relief. You can have it in your mailbox
by tomorrow. some serious tuition relief
or you can wait to see what happens with
that five billion dollars and see uh
where that goes. Uh we will actually be
picking a prize right now. Can you
believe that? Can you believe we're
having a prize right now? Is that true?
Wow. They're in middle of picking a
prize. The early bird prize. You know
that there was an early bird prize. You
We're aware of this. or people that
don't wait till the night of the auction
to put in. The people that put in the
first time we send you a mailing, you
know, mastra, you come out and you you
you get your uh thing and there are
certain people that put into the
auction. What is the early bird prize?

tonight and to speak on behalf of all
birds across America. Yeah, you want to

about birds across America. That's the
man you want to discuss. The I'm I'm the
bird. You're the bird that that we're
giving away tonight. No, no, Barashem. I
have a home. I have a home. I used to
live on the streets, Alan.
You know, a lot of houses are going up
in Lakewood, and with every house that
goes up, a tree must come down. Oh, that
that sounds very So, there's a lot of
bird homelessness out there. Alan, Rabbi
Schnel, maybe you can help out with
this. Yeah, you speak to Rabbi
Schned Rabn. What? You had to come to
the Uathan to get another bird and
complaining about overdevelopment people
to put birds into their homes. Oh my
goodness. One URA auction at a time. Oh,
there's a passionate speech by URA's
very own bird. Take the bird, folks.
Trust me. I used to have monkeys as
neighbors. You don't want a monkey.
Okay, you are. We have a a bird here as
you see with us right now. Uh, first
watch this amazing video and then we
will have the winner on the phone. Well,

important things that URA does is create
controversy and slogans. And this year,
URA, as you can see by that is a
critical element of As you can see by my
beautiful cuff links that I uh received
special from URA. I don't know if you
guys can zoom in on that. See the see
the see the cuff link. You guys got
that? Says Hashem needs every id. And if
I turn it upside down, it says every id
needs Hashem. Right? So, uh that's
Hashem needs every Yid, which was a
which was a tremendous slogan. And and
where do you stand on this? Does or does
not Hashem need every Yid? I know that
many people have weighed in on this uh
different uh our people have written
into URA. I know that Rabbi uh Gershin
Ribbner discussed it. Really? Yeah.
Yeah. What did he have to say on this
topic? He he was surprisingly he was
pro. Yeah, he was pro. I thought he
would be I thought he would be. So there
there you have it. Lots of shurim have
been given in yeshivas. Mashkim have
railed for and pro against this uh
thing. And we everybody really wants to
know is where do you stand on this
matter? They're all waiting with baited
breath. They're all waiting with baited
breath. The assembly to see what the
assemblymen thinks. Does Hashem truly
need every? And by the way, they did
this great thing with the Uro action.
It's not just that Hashem needs every
and every needs Hashem, but also but
also there's lots of things that need
things. So you have, for example, right,
uh, every haggana needs a dumpster. Uh,
every diet needs a shabas. Every, uh,
car needs a driveway. Every yid needs
solar, every speech needs an end. Every
yeshiva needs a baker. Every yeshiva
needs a
bakr. Every mifa needs bakim. Uh, every
rash mifa needs bakim. Yeah. um, etc.,
etc. And, uh, and this is, you know,
Uras like kind of stumbled on this. They
started just with every Yid needs
Hashem. Hashem needs every, I'm sorry.
And, uh, and then it turned into like,
oh my gosh, so many things need so many
things. So, it's really fascinating.
Take a look at this at this wonderful
uh, piece we put together for you
regarding every Yid needing Hashem and
Hashem needing every Yid.
[Music]
At times I feel why am I needed? There's
so many others besides for me. At times
I feel why am I needed? There's so many

I share in every
every welcome back everyone to the
Uratan 2025. I'm here with my co-host
Rabbi Anal and he has a amazing and
special interview with you. Rabbi
Schnel, who do you have with us here
today? We have with us tonight two very
special people that are connected to the
zone. We've got Etana who is a
Zodiac and also goes to Chillzona and
he's joined tonight by his father Matt.
They came all the way in from
Philadelphia to join us tonight at the
Uathon. That is amazing. And and what
are you going to tell us about fellas?
My experience at the zone. Oh, your
experience at the zone. And what is the
zone? Tell everybody out there in in
Ural land who don't who might not know
what the zone is. The zone is an amazing
camp where everyone can experience what
it's like to be Jewish. Whoa, that is
amazing. Before we continue the
interview, I want to ask you a quick
question. Ethan, how old are you, by the
way? About the term bar mitzvah. About
to turn bar mitzvah. Very soon, right?
So, let's wish a hearty master to Eton
and his barit. Eton and his barit. It's
about a week or two away. Very soon. How
long have you been in the zone? Two
years. Three. How many? Two years. Two
years in the zone. And is it the most
awesome camp ever? It's more than that.
It's more than that. Tell me what more.
What more? It's more than just a camp.
It's more than just a camp. Can you hear
that? Why is it more than just a camp?
Because besides for being fun, it's also
one big family. One big family. Listen
to this. Listen to this. Amazing. Ethan,
after camp's over, everyone goes home.
Does Are you still connected to the
zone? Of course. through chill zone and
tours. Chillzone. Which chill zone do
you go to? Philly chill zone. Philly
chill zone. Who runs the Philly chill
zone? Josh Alter. Josh Alter. Who? What?
Josh Alter. Who else runs the Philly
Chill Zone? Is Asha Tess involved in the
Philly Chill Zone? Yeah, a little bit.
Not so much. No, not anymore. No, he was
very involved in the old days. Wow.
That's good to know. So, Matt, what do
you think about what do you feel about
Etan going to the zone for the parents
perspective?
They love it. You love it. We love it.
And if other parents are thinking about
sending their children, not sending
their children, what would you tell the
many people watching and listening
online? If I can make suggestion to
other parents, to all the
parents, it's not easy to have your
child go and spend a month or at least a
few weeks
um outside of home, at least the first
time. But uh they should take this leap.
They should trust the experience. They
should trust the organization
because the child will come back
transformed in the best positive way I
can ever mean to. They will come back so
connected, so refreshed and
inspired that that summer experience
will last them at least a year until the
next camp. Wow. Or probably even for a
lifetime. It'll be very memorable and
um the relationships the the trust that
that the child will build in the camp
will will be amazing. Uh in our personal
experience uh first time Ethan went to
the camp was in summer of
2022. When he came back first of all it
was very hard to get him into the school
mode. He was still in the zone
mentality. He was he was in the zone,
right? He was in the zone. But uh we
have a tradition. We always have Shabas
dinner on Friday nights. And um since
that day when he came back, our Shabas
dinner was never been the same. Wow. All
the songs, all the the attitude, the
energy that he added to it just just was
very sing songs. Hey, you sing all the
zone songs? Of course. What's your
favorite zone song?
That's a tough one. I won't make you
sing it online now. People are
listening. Maybe give me your favorite
zone song. Let's see. What's your
favorite zone song?
It's hard to pick one. It's hard to pick
one. I They do a good job. They do a
good job with those zone songs. They do
a good job with those songs. I've seen
them. True. A talent. A talent.
Talented.
During the year, Urus sends around a lot
of packages and stuff like that. Your
family gets some of that things as well.
Yeah, of course. We we love it. The
Kaneka packages, the Puran packages, the
the sukot of
course. It's How about a suka? Oh, tell
them about the suka experience. Two
years ago, a bunch of people from the
zone came to build us a suka. Really?
Yes. They they brought you a suka.
Wow. They and they built it, they made
it, they delivered it, the whole thing.
Yeah. And you still have it till today?
Yeah. So you're you have an suka? Yeah.
That's in. How did they know you needed
a sucker? He made it happen. I don't
know. He made it happen. You told your
Torah, mate. Yeah, probably.
Unbelievable. Let me ask a question. In
this zone, there's so many things going
on. There's all the activities and
there's all the excitement and you also
have
encampments. You haven't had a chance to
meet him. Yeah. Tell them your
experience.
Tell them your appointment with Rabbi
Mint. You had an appointment with Rabbi
Mintz. Really? One-on-one? Yeah. Really?
Hey, how do you pull that one off? So,
me and my tomate went up to Who's your
tomate by? We got to give him a shout
out.
Arama Garden House. Aba Garden House.
Thank you. Garden House at Tormate.
Special shout out to him. Wherever he
is, I'm sure he's listening to this. I
think we I just want to jump in here and
tell everyone this is what you're
supporting by supporting URA tonight. By
being here for URA tonight. Look at
that. Look at this. Look at this kid
over here. Look at that radiating off
his face. Look how inspired. Look how
happy he is. Look how happy his dad is.
And look, look how look how tremendously
involved they are with URA with whether
it's Sukus, whether it's the zone,
whether it's chillzone. I mean, these
guys, they're rocking it. They're
rocking. You guys and URA are rocking it
together. And it's a beautiful thing to
say. And that's what we're here for
tonight at uraction.org or 1877 auction.
I want to go back to the store with you.
Let's hear about this.
So I asked him for a braha to help our
family keep shabas.
Wow. That's very special. So he gave us
a braha and now we're on our way on the
way. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Eton is
absolutely incredible. Eton there a lot
of boys I'm sure in your class that like
ask you what you're doing in the summer
and what their plans
are. What do you tell all the kids about
coming to the zone? Most boys in my
class go to the zone. Really? That's
fantastic. There's a few holdouts. You
got to get them involved as well, I
guess. Yeah.
Unbelievable. And your B is in a couple
of weeks. You got a suka. And actually,
it's he was born on Shabba just right
now. His English birthday is on the 26th
of May. Absolutely amazing. I
I think I'm getting caused already for
the kums. It's almost or not yet.
We're almost there. So, um, if I may add
something to me personally as a parent,
I think Kura is important because it
touches Jewish souls, hearts and minds
everywhere.
Um, that otherwise wouldn't be touched.
So, people remember their identity. They
they remember where they belong because
of UA. And that makes him feel very
special. It makes him feel that they are
part of the family. In my personal
experience, I'm not a zodiac. I'm just a
parent of a zodiac. But um unfortunately
last year I had
um death in the family and I had to go
to Chicago for a brief period of time.
So Rabbi Freriedman who is one of the
Torah coordinator here in URA. Sure. He
found out about it
and within one day he was able to find
somebody in Chicago who found the
address of my parents and brought me the
books so I can keep the laws of Shiva to
the tea. So it's not just fun and wild
and being very alive. They touch you
whether you are in a moment of grief or
you are in your happiest peak. They made
you feel belonging. They touch you to
the core and they feel connected. I feel
Ura is the place where people can
express themselves freely, can learn
about themselves, learn about their
tradition, learn about Torah, mitzvah,
but at the same time they can discover
who they are. Amazing. Absolutely
amazing. That really is the secret of
Ura that it's more like Etan said, it's
more than just a camp. It's not just a
camp. The camp is just the beginning.
It's a lifestyle. It's a lifestyle. And
that's the Ura lifestyle in the zone.
And obviously this auction, like Alan
said before, makes it happen. Makes it
happen. And if you go online at
uraction.org and you give $5, $10, $100,
$500, $5 billion, whatever it is that
you can give, you are helping to to do
Kiran. Something else you can do and I
think now would be a good time to plug
that. People say, "Well, what can I do
to help Kira?" Well, you can go to Torah
mates. You could be a Torah mate. You
know that URA arranges kavus little
learning in peers. There are over
6,750 Torah mate peers really. Uh now,
and if you wanted to go online right now
at uh where do you where do you sign up
to be a Torah mate? Ura ura.org ura.org
ura.org. It's right there. You can
become you can become a Torah. No, not
really. You can be like like uh there
are people like uh that that that that
you think you can't be Mashia. You could
be Mashia says Rabbi Weinstein. You can
connect with someone. You could be a
Torah mate. You can give you can be like
Raul. Raul married Rabaka. We're in the
time of Rabi Akiva. Rahul married Rabaka
at the time. He was 40 years old. He
didn't learn. She married Rabaka. She
sent him to yeshiva. I know someone her
name is Goldie and she also she's a very
f girl but she marries she's engaged a
guy named Joe Joe Joe and she's going to
make him she's going to make K on him
she's going to be his Torah mate to
mates it's all done and we are heading
back to the kumitz back to the kumitz
with Hery Weinberger
great great
I have some amazing
memories of uh campura last year
Actually, I had a I had an event for the
staff of Campura. So, I visited the
zone and I was speaking actually with
Yiad of Shabas. I remember they gave me
an address. I think it was a Thursday
night and I headed out towards Camp
Ura and I'm going on the way in a
certain point. Whoever visited or
whoever was in the in the camp knows
uh at least half of the way is like a
small road without any service. I found
myself like in a fashiped way
somewhere and I arrived to the camp was
uh cold. The weather was cold. I come
outside of the car
in there was a Ber over there was
waiting already with a smile. Oh hashi,
how are you? I actually remember his
name. His name I think. Yeah, his name
is Morty Bash. If you watch me, Morty.
I'm not sure. I owe you money. I think I
have to send you a quick pay. So, uh,
message me. I think he has my number.
Morty was over there with his golf car.
And he took me and he's like I told him
I didn't know the race take so long. And
and I told him one of the thing that I
ran out of gas. I actually tried a
middle of the way to get some gas, but
all gas station was closed. He says,
"Don't worry. Don't worry. Just come
in." What about food? Don't worry. Okay.
So, I remember the the the I've hear
talking a lot about the zone when I was
a kid, but I never saw it
actually. I arrive, he takes me in,
guys. He takes me into something they
call a restaurant. I'm like, what? You
have a restaurant in camp? Yeah. Call
me. What? What do you What's your order?
And I'm like, I like schnitle. Schnitzle
sandwich. What do you like pickles to
make? Just make it. I'm like, wow. What?
And I see these boys and I see the
hospitality, the
midas and then about the gas. He takes
me up to a gas station. They have a gas
station in the zone. He fills me up my I
was mamaish mammish amazed. But one of
the most memorable moments of that night
is they they taught me a song and I want
to sing the song. So we have all the
boys come in, make yourselves
comfortable. We're going to sing it
together. And I think I I think
afterwards I thought that we should do
that song in Yiddish as well because for
instance I speak Yiddish and I'm sure
that a lot of people that are watching
out there their Yiddish their first
language is
Yiddish. Yos you ready? Three 2 3 2 1

away a car very soon. And now my name is
Jacob Samuels. I'm here from the from
the Stiger program. I'm the director Bar
Hashem of the Stiger program here at
URA. And I'm excited to announce the
moment you've all been waiting for. The
Yiddish vote.
[Applause]
Vote for me. This is a value. I got the
luck of the aish or the Irish.
Vote for me. This is our very exciting
game that as you can see, we have some
very exciting personalities to play
with. And I was just told there's always
something going on surprise at the UR
auction that one of our first
personalities, Bar Puloitz, has
something to share with us that's going
to be less than 30 seconds. This is
crazy. Watch this. When When does my
clock start right now? It started
already. So tonight, we're here in light
of this tremendous tragedy and I was a
bit torn about being here tonight and
then I remembered I realized when
somebody passes away, we say a
special. The reason we say that is when
somebody ye passes away, there's less
alus in this world. And I realized there
is no organization in the world that
brings more kus into this world
than they do so much. And we are here
tonight. We are bringing more kus in
this
world. These that passed away these
horrific tragedy. Let's all go ahead.
Let's support Ura. Let's buy those
tickets and let's vote for me. No,
he used it as a
plug. 30 seconds. Thank you. Thank you.
Yes. Okay. So, the game works as
follows. It's very simple. Just stay
with me and you're going to get it
exactly. So, the game is called the
Yiddishot. How it's played is we have
over here on the floor next to me some
different exciting unique objects that
you can see. That doesn't look each
round. Don't worry, I'll pull it out of
the bag. You'll be able to see what it
is. Don't worry. In each round, I'm
going to present the unique object. Each
of our contestants will have one card in
front of them. Four of the contestants
cards will say on it, bluff, which means
they're going to try to convince you of
what this object is, and they have no
clue what they're talking about for a
change.
Now, one of the contestants, one of the
contestants will have the exact
description of the item on their card,
and they will also try to convince you
that they're telling the truth. Here's
where the audience at home comes in. You
will have a chance at
uraction.org to vote for who you think
is telling the truth. And now we get to
introduce our incredible, incredible
contestants. We have who already spoke
and is trying to steal the showtime from
me, Barf
Pearloitz. What's up? We have with us
Byaman
Roart. Go to one. Go to B. Yes. Yes. I
like that. What does the hat say? Hashem
needs every Yid and every Yid needs an
auction ticket. So make sure 1877
auction. Get one of those tickets. Okay.
And we have with user.
That's right.
almost biggest Askin. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Biggest Askin, second biggest person on
stage. And we also have with us Yakov
Burger. Yeah. The names Yakov Brian.
Shout out to me family and me daughters
Noman Bachva and the other family
members as well. Vote for me. I have the
luck of the fiveish. Well, okay. Okay.
Thank you. And last but certainly not
least, we have with us David Stanton.
David, what's up?
Could I just say for a second that Oh,
you already had your British accent.
He's going to sound like he knows
everything from your gating your
esoteric coitations and articulating
your superficial and psychological
observations. You have to be aware of
platitudinous ponderosity. We have to
let
you
evaporation went to war with the
English. Yes. Okay. Thank you. We
appreciate all the work you've done for
translating for art scroll. All those
hard words. I'm going to be giving each
person. Keep the card. Keep the card.
Keep the card. Here you go. Keep the
card. Keep the card. Don't look. You can
show. You can show. Here you go. There
are all the cards right there. And right
now, I'm going to reveal the item. I'm
going to reveal the item over here. This
is the item. The audience can see what's
going on over here. Okay. I'm going to
show it to the participants, to our
contestants over here. You're going to
see the item. And again, make sure
nobody else sees your card. You're going
to have about less than 60 seconds to
tell us what it is. I'll give you the
item while you're describing it. That'll
be your chance. And then we're going to
open the polls
online. Okay. Okay. You could see you
could look over here. It even comes
apart. I'm going to pass it to Bar
Powitz. You're going to have 45 seconds
to describe what this object is. Some
really long words here. Okay. So, this
here is an ancient Chinese tool used for
acupuncture. It's called
a I'm not even going to pronounce that
word. This is what they use to poke
people in different parts of their body
to make them feel better. Okay. Sit. Not
even going to read it. Thank you. If you
think that Bar Perloitz is telling the
truth, you could vote for him right now
at
uraction.org. Maybe he was so believable
you don't need to hear everybody else.
You could vote for him at
uraction.org. Okay, here you go, Byam.
All right, so I happen to know what this
is cuz I use this in my line of work. I
work in a Kasen Hall. I'm not sure if
you guys know who I am, but I work in a
Kasen Hall. And this is a tool we
actually use on a weekly basis. Um the
candles that the that the parents walk
down with, we have like glass containers
and we put candles in them. Sometimes
it's a long ka the candles melt down.
It's very hard to get them out. That's
when this comes into play. We have this,
we stick this in, goes into the candle
and then we pull it up and it comes out
as easy as pie. So what's it called?
What's it called? It's called the candle
remover. Wow. Okay. And if you think
Vyamin is telling the truth, you could
vote for him at
uraction.org. It's your turn. Let's
pass. We use this. We use this all the
time. Okay. Actually, this object here
is really cool because it reminds me of
my oldest sister Kayadasa Tanab from
Prospect Park. She had a really little
trouble. She I should mention that every
shout out we charge our contestants $5.
So, just keep it We're keeping a tally
back. Okay. Yes. When my mother was
expecting her, she was at a stroll and
she was on a scaffold and it started
raining and everyone wanted to be under
the scaffold and they ended up pushing
her. She fell off the scaffold and right
into a massive jar of pickles. Okay, so
if she they they took a while to get my
mother out of pickle. She loves pickles
now. She just can't stop eating pickles.
But if she wanted to eat pickles, she
would use this piece right here because
she would be able to pluck the pickles
with this special pickle plucker that
she can lower in, pick a pickle out, and
then
Sounds sounds good. Okay, if you think
telling the truth, you can go to uro
auction.org.
You guys are just a bunch of malarkey,
which is the name of the game. This is
what we call a wiener checker. A wiener
checker for your barbecues,
right? It test the what it is. It tests
the heat, the exact temperature of the
wieners, otherwise known as hot dogs.
And it has a slip over here for you to
put your hand in to keep your hands away
from the fire. over here. You just prong
it into the wieners, hot dogs, it works
for hamburgers as well. Again, wiener
checker available at Amazon or other um
other sites for only $12.99. The wiener
checker. Okay. Thank you. And last but
not least, David, what do you think this
item is? I don't think I know for a fact
what this is cuz it was actually made by
a from Manchester, England. Okay. And he
was a person who had seven children. And
the biggest hazard he had going on in
the household is that they would
constantly touch the outlets. And
suffice to say, he invented a very, very
cool toy. You plug it in there and then
it's like a mini basketball hoop. It's
missing the other part, by the way.
There's a little ball, a beautiful green
ball, and you can find on Amazon for I
think about
$124. Really? No. No. I'm exaggerating
the price. It's a very well, but but
it's a child-friendly item. I don't I'll
be honest with you, I don't exactly know
the exact name, but I believe it's
called Kosha Basketball,
childfriendly outlet plug. etc. Okay,
thank you so much. You can leave the
item on the table. Now, audience, it's
your turn to vote.
uraction.org. We're going to see those
votes coming in. Who is going to be the
winner of our first round? The winger
check. Let's see. Let's see the Let's
see them coming in. It's the It's the
hot dog. Let's see it coming in. Listen,
if it's missing the green piece, then
it's obviously not that big. Okay. Oh,
who is winning?
Oh, we're going to close the polls very
soon. We're going to close it very soon.
Close it up. Close it up. And we're
going to close it. What color am I? In
three, two.
One.
Okay. The audience has selected Barak
Powitz. Yes. As the winner. Bar, why
don't you show us your card? He was
bluffing.
So far have won the first round. But
let's see who was telling the truth.
Chriser, that is right.
And do you know why?
Do you know why? Do you know why the
pickle picker is the perfect item to use
in a contestant game show tonight? Of
course. Because if someone submits their
tickets and wins for prize number 43,
the Simka package, they want to enhance,
maybe they want a pickle board, maybe
however they want to enhance their next
SIMA, they're able to do that and use
their pickle picker at their next SIMA.
So make sure
1877 auction. That's
1877 auction or
uraction.org. You can enter for prize
number 43,
$14,000 to enhance your Simka package.
Okay, guys. What do we think? We're
ready for round two. He's buying votes.
Ready for round two? Ready for round
two? Okay. He's buying votes. Okay,
let's get He's g stuff like that. You
know what? We'll get the cards back over
here. Where do we go with this and the
pickle picker? I I want that. I want
that. We'll see you later, pickle
picker. Checker. Uh-huh. Uh-huh.
Acuper. Okay, so I'm going I have all
the cards right here. Somebody vote. I
have all the cards right here. Okay. And
we're going to do it like this this
time.
Wait a second. Wait a second. Okay. I
wasn't.
Nice. Give him an inch to take a mile.
You know what can I say? Okay. Are you
ready to see the next object? This time
start from that side. I should start
from the other side. Give me some more
time to come up with something. Give me
enough time for seeing the You're in the
middle, buddy. You got either way for
seeing the object. It could be all at
the same time. Okay. This is our next
object. This is our next unique item. I
know. Okay. This is Victoria. As you
could see it over here. I'm going to
show it to the audience. You can see we
need a panoramic camera over here. I
think to see what's going on. You can
see the intricacies exactly exactly how
it looks. I'm showing it to our
contestants
in about 30 seconds. We're going to
start. I think it's fair to start with
David Stanton. Yeah, it makes sense. And
everyone's gonna have a chance to
explain Start with me what this item is.
Well, you won the last round. So, you
know, we're trying to make it. Here you
go, David. Okay, we're going to put 45
seconds on the clock. You could tell us
exactly what you think or what you know.
Careful. Careful. You don't want the
audience to see
this. Let us know what it is. This was
actually invented as a joke. Somebody
made it in honor of a purin party. There
was a birthday and the gentleman whose
birthday it was
um he hold on a second. He Yeah. The
gentleman whose birthday party it was,
he was a big fan of massive salami. And
they designed a beautiful um thing that
you put the salami in there and you hold
it and they would walk the salami around
the sim. And yeah, I don't know. It was
made as a joke. It's not the most uh
innovative tool. I've thought of better,
but needless to say, that's what it is.
Okay. Thank you. Thank you. Yes. Yakov,
what do you think this object is? It's
not what I think. It's what I know what
it says over here in my card. This is
what we call the Siamese Chihuahua
leash. And this is invented by pet
lovers. Pet lover. Um, and as you can
see here, there are the places for both
heads to go in. Siamese Chihuahua leash.
And that's it. And obviously it's pink
because it's I guess it's for female
styamese Chihuahua. Chihuahua or
Chihuahua, whatever. And that's You know
what a Chihuahua is, right? That's the
song Chihuahua, right? Oh my goodness.
Chihuahua. We all know I read it. It's a
cute little dog. I mean, it's even cuter
with two heads. But again, that's so
cute. Well, if you think you think that
our contestants are telling the truth,
you could vote for them. There's a right
over here. There's a right here. for
them at uraction.org. We're going to
keep moving on in this round. Remember,
you can vote right now. The lines are
open.
uraction.org. Yes. What do you think
this object is? So, this object right
here obviously has to do with one of the
prizes. Mhm.
But without knowing that has one do with
one of the prizes, I recognize this
object because my company, we mine
natural diamonds. We have a mine in
South Africa that just opened up. The
miners were down in the mine when all of
a sudden there was a massive flood and
no one could get to figure out where the
miners were. But the only thing that fit
down there was a really, really small
animal, smaller than a chihuahua.
Smaller even than a salami. The only
thing that fit, believe it or not, Rabbi
say, was a
chicken. An actual chicken.
So, they actually invented this specific
harness and 6T matching leash
for this multi-million dollar diamond
mine chicken that they lowered down
slowly into the mine and it fit exactly
through. Okay, we got 5 seconds. We got
5 seconds. And it fit exactly in and
actually saved close to 100 miners.
That's the mining story with it. This
This is the most important part. The
chicken and his beautiful harness. Okay.
If you think is telling the truth, you
can vote for him at ura aauction.org. We
have two more quick answers. All right.
So, I happen to know what this is. This
they give you on airplanes. Um I don't
know if anybody saw the ad recently. I
was recently did a airplane ad for URA
and one of these were on board because
the airplane that I was supposed to go
on which I missed was also used for
skydiving. Now, this is item that they
use for skydiving. If you go really,
really high up and you're on the way
down, once the parachute opens,
sometimes like the climate makes you
thirsty. So, you keep this around your
hand and you keep a water bottle in here
while you're scary diving. On the way
down, if you get not before the
parachute opens cuz then you just have
to pay attention, right? Once the
parachute opens and you're taking a nice
descent down into Lakewood, you have
this and you drink from the water bottle
and it stays attached to you. Doesn't
fall down and hit anybody on the head.
Got it. Okay. What's it called? What is
this called? This is called the sky dyer
battle. Sky. Okay. And last but not
least, but it's not being sold anywhere.
It's la last. It's professional
equipment. Last but not least, we have
Bar Poets. Remember Uractionuction.org
to send in your votes. It's from Japan.
This is true story over here. When I was
a little kid, my parents took me to the
aquarium and while they were looking at
one exhibit, they obviously lost track
of me. They started searching way before
Cavarium's days and they found me
swimming in the dolphin enclosure.
And after that, every time they went out
with me, well, it wasn't this one. There
was this very very wellto-do
uh person over there that saw that and
he panicked and he invented for his
daughter who her name was Yasito. She
was Japanese.
Yasito. Yeah. Something like that.
Puncture done to her. Yeah. Really? He
invented this harness made special when
you take kids to aquariums for little
kids, females, and it's meant when you
take them that they can never get past
the exhibit that you're at. And if they
do jump in, you can just yank them right
out. Yank them right out.
Okay. Thank you, Bar. Okay, now
audience, it is your turn. You could
vote right now for our contestants. Who
do you think is telling the truth? Who
do you think is telling the truth? And
while you're voting for your contestant,
you can also buy tickets at
1877 auction. That's
1877 auction or at ura auction.org when
you're voting right now. We're going to
leave the lines open for about 10 more
seconds. The votes are flooding in. Who
do we think will be selected as the
winner? Who do we think will be selected
as the winner?
Okay. Okay. And we are going to close
the lines in three, two,
it's closed. Okay. And the winner is
Yako Burger.
You are correct. Thank you, Yako. Thank
you very much. Now, show us your card.
Amazing what he is. You are 100%
incorrect. But thank you
for Okay. And who was telling the truth?
I told you to vote for me.
Oh, they don't believe you. And do you
know why? Do you know what this really
is? A chicken harness. And you're going
to tell me, "Yakob, you're not giving
out a chicken harness in the auction."
That's right. We're not giving out a
chicken harness, but if you get prize
number eight, this is perfect for your
pet monkey. Yes. This is perfect to walk
around with your pet monkey. And uh it
has a little bow on it. And you know, if
you really want us, if if it ends up
being a boy monkey, we could take care
of it afterwards. But this is perfect
for your pet monkey. Okay. Can be my
pet. We got our cards back. That's not
going to fit me. Just make sure you
again next round. So far, I got the
winning card both round. Next round
going to have guaranteed win. I always
get the bluff card. Okay. Okay. Let me
just This is
very Okay, we're going to pass these
out. We're going to pass these out.
We're going to pass these out. Here we
go. Just take it. Take it. Take it. Take
it. Take it. Take it. Good. Okay. Okay.
Okay. And we're going to show the
object. The object is right over
here. Here we
go. I'm showing it up close for the
audience. Here we go.
I'm showing it to our contestants over
here. Here we go. Here we go. I'm
showing you everything.
Okay, we're going to start in about 5
seconds. We're going to start from Bar
Powette. He's going to tell us exactly
what he knows this object
is. Okay, are you ready? Ready. Let's
get it going. What do you think this
object is? Well, not what I think, what
I know. Finally, I finally got the
actual card. The worst thing that could
happen, well, not the worst thing, but
we've all experienced this numerous
times a day. You're driving, you look at
your phone by a red light, even that's
questionable. And all of a sudden, your
phone falls right between the seat. And
the rest of your drive, you're doing
this. When you have big hands, you're
like, you can never get it through. And
then your phone starts ringing. You see,
it's your boss, your wife, your kids
that calling you. You can't answer. You
can't figure out what's going on. So
this here, it has a hole for the seat
belt to go in. This is called
a between seat gap filler that you put
between the seats that your phone should
not be able to fall in. You put it
between the seat, the seat belt thingy
comes through here and you're like and
and you're good. No more phones falling
in. Wow. Okay. If you think Barak is
telling the truth, you could vote for
him right now at ura aauction.org. You
could vote for him right now at ura
aauction.org. Speed speed. All right.
So, this is actually meant for keys. If
you want to keep your keys safe, you put
your keys in here. They can't. The
audience can't really see it, but it's
magnetic over here. Once you put your
keys in here, this closes with the
magnetic things and it keeps the keys in
here. Now, instead of having to, if you
have like big pockets, instead of having
to reach down all the way deep into the
pockets to get the keys, you just stick
this in here. And every time you want
the keys, you just take this out. It's
really meant for keys. They have a chip.
Like, you mean that? Not for car keys.
And you just take this thing and you put
it by the door. And I mean, all the
doors over here have chips. Can you Can
you put a credit card in there? No. You
could do tap or No, just keys. Yeah.
Okay. Okay. And then when you're ready,
when you want to take the keys out, you
just see this thing over here? Just
press and the magnets release and the
keys come out. It's
actually Okay. Okay. Okay. Yes. Let's go
to our next contestant.
What do you think this is? In the
kitchen. What do you think this is? Or
what do you know this is? What I know
about this? Let me just finish reading
the instructions. So, for those of you
who don't know, I am also a member that
it's a member. There's nobody that
doesn't know that. And I also love the
rain. I do love the rain, but not
everybody loves the rain like me. Okay?
Because a lot of people in Lakewood have
a sump pump which pumps the water out of
their basements and it could sometimes
happen that the sump pump dies or
there's too much rain and you need
something to clog it up. Okay. Also,
also also before I tell you what this
is, it could also be used to stop a
draft. So, what you do is you put a a
sandbag attached to this area right here
and then you stick it right up against
the door. It is impossible for water to
get through. Literally impossible. And
also, if there's a draft, like my back
door has a little like leakage in it,
you can put it right down there. It will
never blow again. Wow. Okay. If you
think is telling the truth,
uraction.org. You can vote for him at
uraction.org. You know what they say,
the longer the description, the longer
the bluff. This is very simply called
the steering wheel extender protector,
and it's made to stick your wrist over
here. Many times people find themselves
when they're driving, they have a knack
to turn the wheel all the way, let's
say, to the right. What this does is
over here, there's a place over here
where you can stick your hand in, right?
And you put it on your right. Typically,
steering wheel on the left, the left
you're from, right? Exactly. England.
This is made by American production
company. In England, they have it for
the other hand. At any rate, you put
your hand inside over here. And if you
find yourselves turning the wheel too
much to the right, then it reminds you
and it stops just enough to let you
know, don't turn the wheel all the way.
Again, the steering wheel extender
protector available on Amazon for only
$15.99.
Okay, so first of all, everyone's
answers were very, very close. Okay,
that's number one. And what I'll tell
you is this. Bulos was the closest. It
is to do with the car and it is
correlated with somewhat of the seat
belt, but it's not for phones cuz
there's no mechanism to hold it in
place. it will still fall through. So,
needless to say, needless to say, it's
very straightforward. It's for people
that, you know, especially children that
don't feel seat belts are comfortable.
You put your seat belt through and it's
an extra padding on the chest. It's
really that straightforward. Okay,
audience, thank you to our contestants
for this round. Now, audience, it is
your turn to vote. Who you think is
telling the truth? Who do you think is
telling the truth? You could vote right
now.
uraction.org. That's uro
aauctionuction.org. You can vote and say
who you think is telling the truth. And
we're going to be closing the lines.
We're going to be closing the voting.
Come on, guys. In five.
Four. Three. They rigged it. Two. They
rigged it. Come on. Well, this is the
least I got to be. This is the least
close. Oh, the votes are still coming
in. Oh, they're just David, you're
taking my votes. Like you know when you
press on the curig and like the coffee
comes out and then it just like the last
little bit comes in, you know? Oh god.
Come on. Okay, so now the now now it's
closed and
the audience voted for Bar Perlowitz.
Yes.
That means Bar won the round. Good for
him. The question is, I told you I was
saying the truth. He was telling the
truth. Yes. Good job to the audience.
Now this that's exactly what this is.
This is perfect for you put it around
the seat belt thing. You will never drop
anything. I can tell you this happened
to me personally when I one time won
prize number one. $25,000 cash from the
auction and it fell in between the
seats. You're busy trying to get your
$25,000 cash. That's not something
you're going to want to be doing. Also,
one time my wife won prize number nine,
the classic jewels. She had this whole
She I know. She had this whole diamond
necklace. You know, it's in between the
seats. You can't get it. You want to
make sure you have the stop gap. And you
at home, you want to make sure that
you're entering. We got prizes. We're
We're giving out our our first car very,
very soon.
1877 auction. That's
1877 auction.
Uraction.org. And we're beginning taking
a break and be back very soon.
Welcome, Rabbi Hobberman. Thank you.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity
to talk a little bit about what I do at
URA. I am fortunate to be responsible
for uh the Torah Mates program. What
level of Kira professionalism of past
experience does a person need to be able
to help out somebody and learn Tyra with
them once a week? Zero. We are looking
for people who are quote unquote regular
benetra men and women. Once the partners
come together, they become friends. They
form a personal relationship and that is
where the growth in Yiddishkai comes
from. Now I'm going to give you some
examples. 47year-old participant this
year, first time keeping Pesak. All
thanks to the warm beautiful way that my
mentor presented Judaism. Incredible.
Here's another example. It's amazing how
I thought I was going to do something
fun joining to during co and it ended up
completely changing my life. This is a
young lady who came in completely
secular became shame shabas started
keeping conscious and married a Jewish
boy. Wow. How does that work together
with so many of the other programs that
URA has with this zone camp with the
events with the tuition program? What we
want our coordinators to do and what we
want our mentors to do is to get to know
the family. If there are children in the
family, then they can benefit from UR's
other programs events. Also, we want to
encourage our Torah mates to come to the
Ura events, to come for a Shabas, come
for a Yamu. For many of these people,
it's going to be the possibly the first
time to participate in an authentic
Shabas and Yumpt experience. Do they
give them any material? Do they help
them figure out what to learn? How do
they tell me give me some background on
some of the support that they give some
of the things? Okay, very good. Thank
you for asking that because that's a is
in fact a very important part of our
program. Right from the beginning, it's
the coordinator's responsibility to help
the Torah mates choose a topic and
choose a safer over the course of a
year. We send out hundreds if not
thousands of to our Torah mates.
Amazing. So there's no barriers. Become
a Torah mate. Sign up to be a Torah
mate. Your coordinator will get to know
who you are, your personality, match you
up with somebody that makes sense for
you, send you the materials, make sure
that you're learning, support the
partnership. Is there anything you don't
[Music]
do? That's a You know what? That's
really a great question because there is
actually something that we have not done
till recently and now we are doing very
often since we are in many cases the the
primary point of contact or sometimes
the only point of contact that our
participants have with the with the from
world. They come to us with all types of
various different issues and they're not
plugged in to so much of the
organizations that we are so used to
taking advantage of medical referrals
help with for with with a g help with uh
references for various different other
types of resources educational
education types of questions also you
always try to help people there's no
such thing as somebody asking us
something and us telling them, "Sorry,
not our job. We don't do that. Can't
help you." No such thing. We always try
to help, but we now have somebody on
staff whose job it is to help with the
things that quote unquote that we don't
do. Amazing. Ry Herman, thank you very
much. Really appreciate you spending
time with us. Thank you very much.
Associate director of Torates Sunshine.
Finally, finally.

Remember, we're going to be raffling off

1877 auction
1877 auction. You want to get your
tickets in. This is not the time to
delay. This is not the time to delay. Or
you can get them in at
uraction.org. We have time. We're going
to be playing one more round right here,
right now of the Yiddish vote. Think
yes.
Thank you so much to our audience at
home who's participating. Let's keep it
going. You're going to get bored of
winning.
Okay. I went too much winning. Okay,
we're going to pass out the cards. Just
send it all the way down. All the way
down. All the way down. All the way
down. Okay. Said all the way down. Oh,
you switched.
This This is our object over
here. I'm just going to take off the
protective
case and you could see it. I could show
it to the audience. We'll have a little
uh 4D matzah maybe. Here we go. You
could see it over here. I'm going to
show it to our
contestants. Here we go. You could see
it
exactly how it
works. Okay. Okay. And we're going to
start with we're going to give you 40
seconds. 45 seconds will be generous.
And you can tell us exactly what you
think this is. Okay. So, I don't even
need 45 seconds. This is something that
everybody literally everybody knows.
Originally, it was used uh for people to
spritz themselves to make sure they're
awake when they were having a really
difficult dream. But actually, that's
not what it says on the card. So, we're
going to just stick mostly to the
script. And what we're going to talk
about is what this was what this was
actually used for in more modern times
is when you have a diamond wheel.
There's a lot of diamond dust on the
wheel and sometimes you have to clean
off that dust. So you just go ship ship.
Next thing you know it clean. Okay.
Okay. If you think is telling the truth,
you could vote for him at
uraction.org. You could vote for him at
uraction.org. Okay. David, what do you
think? It's missing the batteries.
That's number one. Okay. Um, but for
those of you that know, sold separately.
Yeah, it's a kid-friendly toy. Um,
instead of using like, you know, the
regular sparklers, which you light up
and it goes and it makes the whole lot
sparkle. It's one of those things that
they could play. It's a toy at night.
And it also has a projection beam inside
where you could see it make nice little
glittery stuff on the ceiling. Mhm. It's
called the Oh, it says what it's called.
Okay. Thank you. We all know what this
is. We all have lights in our house. And
let me just demonstrate. When your light
is dusty, you would go up. You could
undust it with this. It has its
bristles. No, no, no, no, no. The point
of this is that we never we never have
to use that. The point of this is that
people at normal height, not twin towers
over there, we use this to clean a uh
light bulbs, chandeliers, skylights,
like right on top of us. Kas, right, to
put out the candles. It's called a
chandelier cleaner. And that's what this
does. Open it up, clean it, bring it
back down. Okay. Okay. Thank you. If you
think Barak is telling the truth, you
can vote for him at
uraction.org. reason for the tool, you
know. Yes. All right. The yman. So, I
think actually you saw my card cuz he he
got part of the answer right. This has
to do with lights, but it's not really
to clean it. This is actually if you
want to change the light bulb, you use
something like this. Sometimes they use
it by my house, the ceilings are not so
high, but seeing my shield, they use it.
We have high ceilings over there. They
stand on two tables. They take this,
they open it up like that, and then they
close it around the bulb. And then they
turn around and get this and they they
loosen the bulb. Turn the piece around.
They actually turn around themselves and
both. Okay. I'm just putting they slowly
loosen. Yeah. Something like that. Mhm.
Whoa. Do the whole pokey. Okay. And then
they slowly 5 seconds left. Loosen it
down. Put the bulb down. And then they
put the next bulb in just like that.
Thank you. Okay. And
yes, Yakob. Yak. So, we all love the
summer. We all love the summer. What I
know that my girls don't love about this
armor is the critters, the spiders, the
bugs. Daddy, they're in the basement.
So, obviously the kids, they are not
going to kill those spiders or what I
call jumpies. We get them around the
springtime as well. That's why it's a
special extender for this what's called
the critter catcher. Catches insects of
various um leg sizes, various species
and whatnot. My critter catcher. And uh
it's good for Charlias as well. I'll
tell you because when I said that the
girls are screaming to help it's you
know well when I all girls scream funny
yakov remember vote O'Brien my critter
catcher I say the truth. Okay audience
it's your turn if you
think we're going to give the audience a
full minute to vote right now. This is
our last round.
Do you think she is telling the truth?
Do you think David is telling the truth?
Do you think is telling the truth? Do
you think Byammen is telling the truth?
Or do you think Yakob is telling the
truth? Let's get those votes in. Let's
get those votes in. Just keep voting for
me. Those votes are climbing and
climbing. There we go. Okay. And while
you're at the URA website, you could
check
uraction.org. You can check out all the
amazing prizes. All the amazing prizes
at ura aauctionuction.org.
Wow, that's
We're going to need a runoff. We're
going to need a runoff, I think. Okay,
and we're going to close the polls.
We are going to close those polls. Check
it up on. Not yet. Not yet. I'm I'm
There we go. Now, neck and neck. Neck
and neck. Close it. Leave it. Going
open. Open. Shut. And we're going to
We're going to close it. Yes.
Just close it. Just close it. Just close
it. No, we still have Wisconsin coming
in. Okay. And the polls are closed. And
our winner of this round is Barak Poin.
Yes. Thank you, Bar. Why don't you show
us your card? He was bluffing. He was
bluffing. Okay. And who was telling the
truth? My family. I am not touching
another bug. Do it yourself. That is
right. Yako Burger was telling the
truth. This is the Critter Picker upper
for picking up bugs. And it is perfect
for someone who wins the number 33.
Prize number 33 summer fun.

like car. Yeah. Okay. How about we do a
monkey? A monkey? Yes. I like
that. Nah. No. No. It is something
better. How about we do a elephant?
[Music]
[Applause]
Monkeys are good. Monkeys are good.
Monkeys are good. Monkeys are
good. Danish. Enter the URA auction now.
This is your chance to win big. Um,
okay. So, I think that's it for all the
prizes, right? Unless somebody has any
other ideas. Monkeys you have down
there. I have monkeys. Yes. How about
tuition for a year?
Three boys from Bucks County,
Pennsylvania. It's near Philly. And
their story with URA started many years
ago. Elon was a chill zone. He used to
go to Chillzone for a while. He went for
a number of years. Got close with his
head chillers Josh and Morty. And he
eventually they decided to tell him
there's a great camp to go to in the
summer. He decided to go to camp. He
went to the zone. And in the zone he was
extremely inspired. He loved it.
Eventually he brought his other friends
with him. He brought Elon and a bunch of
other kids from Bucks County,
Pennsylvania, and they had 18 or 20 kids
in the zone for the
summer.
Eventually, the the his the people in
camp that were with him, they gave him a
tremendous amount of and he loved it.
They ended up starting a nighter program
that's still running today on Zoom with
a bunch of kids for 20 minutes a night.
They have a number of different programs
running at the same at the same time and
they they just continue to grow from
this. The last thing that happened was
almost over a little bit more than a
year
ago. One of the there was a tragedy in
the community and in order to remember
one of the friends mother passed away
and in order to remember that they
decided to start a fillin chat. What's a
Twillin chat? Every day all the boys
that put on
fillin they take a picture of themselves
they take a selfie and they post it and
it it started with two kids and now it's
up to 18 20 kids right now and growing
and they brought along Lev who is one of
the main people one of the main kids who
really keep it going and I want to bring
them up on stage right
now. Come on Eli.
[Applause]
Ian the mic.
Okay, turn on the mic.
So
Elon, thank you for coming. Yeah. So
tell us about this. You are putting on
fill in. You're doing it every day. Tell
me how does this the how does the chat
help you to inspire you and other people
to put on fill in? For me personally, it
brings me closer to Hashem every day and
it it's a spiritual moment for me like
every few minutes that I do it. Have you
guys missed in a while or it's like more
of a it's like a consistent thing?
Consistent. Consistent thing. It's a
very consistent thing. What what would
you what would you uh tell other kids
that are thinking about, you know,
putting on? It's a big thing. You guys
are going to public school, some of you,
and it means getting up early in the
morning and doing it. What what what
would you tell somebody? What kind of
advice would you give? Would you tell
them to get involved? And how would they
do that? It's very important to put on
to fill in every day. It's like one
thing like not the one thing, but it's
the I would say the easiest thing that
you could do every day to get you closer
closer to God. So it's a good thing to
do. Okay. Amazing. You guys have to tour
mates. Your parents have to mates. My
mom has a tomate. Your mom has a tomate.
My dad has a tormate. You met and and
you have a tour yourself and my mom. And
your mom has a tour to mates. You both
have to tour mates. You both are to
That's great. And that keeps you going.
Tell me what does it what does it mean
to be able to learn with somebody
consistently to be able to have somebody
in your life to to study Torah with? It
helps me educate me about my
heritage and it helps me keep pushing to
go closer to Hashem.
Okay. Tremendous.
Can Can I also go ahead? Yeah. Um, do
you like music? We love music. Okay. Can
we can we write a song together? Of
course we can. Yosi, can we write a song
together? Of course. Of course. Okay,
give me some sort of
key. So, this song is going to be
dedicated
to Elam, Lev, and
Eli. Um, I wish there would be cheers
here, so you'd be comfortable. And we
have a lot of boys here in the room. So,
to make it easy, I'm not going to write
this complicated song. I'm going to make
it very easy. So, let's say I say one
phrase, and everybody, if you're
comfortable enough, just answer. Is that
okay?
Uh, what word what word would you want
me to to include in the song? Leav. Lev.
Okay. Lev. What? What's What's the word?
Ura. Tora. Ura. Yenko. Yenko.
And Josh.
Okay. So, here we
go. So, guys, you ready to answer? Yeah.
[Music]
Let's go. Okay, let's do it again. Let's

Heshi Weinberger coming up. Um and uh
we're going to have this fascinating
segment coming up later with two very
fascinating people called Bringing Gishm
Home. Bringing the Gishm home. I mean
that is uh that is a a very provocative
and thought uh provoking invoking uh uh
segment and that'll be really uh really
amazing. Now as we said and we promised
you we will be calling winners all night
long. We're not you don't have to wait
till 3:30 a.m. till we could call you.
We are actually trying to call a winner
right now. Let's see if we can get the
winner on the line. What prize? The
winner for what prize? Winner for the
car prize. Oh, one of the car prizes.
K. Wow. Wow. Wow. One of the cars, a
pre-owned. Three winners each get a
quality pre-owned vehicle valued
at a lot of money. And a lot of money. A
set with reliable wheels sponsored. They
win three cars or three separate
winners. No, three separate winners that
each one of the three. Three. No, three
separate winners. Each win part of a
car. Part of a car. Okay. Part of a car.
So together they have one car.
supply. Every yid needs another yid to
have another yid to win a car with a
car. Let's see if we can get the winner
online. I think we have the winner. I
think we have the winner. The winner is
not answering their phone. They're
probably holding out for a better prize.
I'm sleeping tonight. Okay. Well, we
will announce we will announce the
winner of the car. The winner the first
winner of tonight Well, we had the early
bird winner, but that's not the same
thing. The first winner is
from Inwood, New York. Wow. Inwood.
Yeah. Can you say that last name?
Pronounce. Sure. Yeah. Go. Sure. Sure. I
I'm the first name. Absolutely. You do
the last. You do the first one. The
first name is Kim. Last name. Kaim
Galilus. Gitalis. Galus. Kaim Galilus is
the winner of the car. Happy to be.
Yeah.
Yeah. You want to be like and win a
prize yourself? Go right now to
uraction.org and let's talk Rabbi
Schnel. Let's tell people about the
different prizes we have this year. We
have the Simkha package. The cost of
SIMKAS is ever um ever ever going
higher. I know there's a big AIFA in
Muny recently to try and bring down the
cost of Simhkas. Lots of people were
giving their ideas at how the cost of
SIMAS could be brought down. And one of
the ideas that was given was put $5 in
the Aura auction and see if you can win
a SIMA flat package which will give you
$14,000 towards your next Simka which in
Lakewood way to paying for the new that
could cover the whole thing. I think the
Oh, the new
Sim whole wedding for you. Very good. We
got the home makeover. you want to
makeover your home and and and and do
it. Uh $10,000 value, rent and mortgage,
$2,000 a month for 6 months, of course.
$36,000 in cash. And then we got the uh
we got them. Yeah. $36,000 in cash. Uh
home makeover would include an
exterminator if if uh if you needed one.
You could do whatever you want with it.
If you have bugs infesting your your
tables or something like that like we
have here at the urathon, we have a
little someone has inflicted makas kenan
right here. Every dollar goes to goes to
the kiraov. Nothing for nothing else.
That's right. That's right. For the
kirv. I love how they advertise it. They
have the monkey. Yeah. The monkey. The
prize. The monkey. Guess how they guess
how they explain it. It's $5,000 for the
monkey of your choice. You're getting as
if like as if like you there's like a
variety of monkeys to choose from and
you're like, "Well, I kind of want that
kind of monkey and you get $5,000 for
the monkey of your choice." By the way,
for $5,000, how much does a monkey go
for? I have no idea. It's like towards
the monkey of your choice. Like, how
much does the monkey actually cost? I
would imagine $5,000 you get a uh one of
those monkeys they experiment on, you
know, they like um we have yearly cash.
URA will drop off, Rabbi Weinstein
personally will drop off $1,000 at your
door every year for the next 10 years.
Wow. And the way that um the way that
the inflation is going in year number
10,000,
it can be too much. You could get like a
half price deli beam. You can get a gym
tour. That's where they they they bring
a priceless
No, I think that that's the difference.
The gadm tour is the tour. You can tour
the they take you to two free tickets, I
think it is. And then while you're
there, you get to I thought they
actually not tour but tour. They have
the gadeum come here and tour. No, no,
no, no. That happens all the time.
Actually, that happens all the time. I
think that's happening again very
shortly. But in addition to that,
another prize is $35,000
towards your own safe. Own safe. So
someone is dreaming about dedicating or
writing or having their own safe, right?
$35,000, which is incredible. Yeah. My
prizes that I that I always like, I like
the $25,000 cash and the $36,000 cash.
There's always the cuz I figure like
with the $36,000 cash, you could get uh
probably six, seven monkeys with that
prize. 25 a Toyota Sienna, $2,000 uh
$32,000 value. And the very instrument
interesting um this this has the
potential to be the biggest money maker.
And that is the instant
$50,000. You win 100 times your donation
up to $50,000. So, if you donate $500
and your ticket gets pulled out, you win
$50,000. And we have had multiple
$50,000 winners here at URA. Yeah. If
you want to see what it looks like when
Rabbi Weinstein has a heart attack, when
we pick out those 50,000, we also have
the torture prize, I call it, which is
where you get a choice. When you choose
one of the envelopes, you will either
win $5, $50, $500,
$5,000,
$50,000, or $5 million.
Not really. Not really. Not the five
million. I think we cap out of 50,00
five to think. And that is like that is
like I always felt like they should they
should do a minimum. Yeah. Don't give
the guy fiveucks. Five bucks. That's And
you wake the guy up to that the guy that
wins the wake him up and you say like
and you may win five bucks. You may win
$5. But But people have won big, have
they? Yeah, people have won 500. Like
5,000 ever won 50,000. I 50,000 prize.
Oh, that was the one year we gave away
$50,000 to two separate people. That was
a remember. That was the same guy. One
guy got $100,000, right? No. No. One
year a guy got $100,000. No, that we
stopped that prize. We stopped that
prize. $100,000 prize.
They won the bonus. I remember one year
a guy in Lakewood walked away with
100,000. Yeah, I remember that year
everybody at URO was eating peanut
butter for peanut butter sandwiches for
a year. That was it. So they stopped
doing that based on the things. So those
are clearly and that's why we have the
the mites, the clover mites. So
anyways, we are giving out
$650,000 worth of prizes and any one of
those prizes could be yours for only $5
if you go online at
uroction.org
or777 auction. And now ladies and
gentlemen, you're into you're in for a
special treat. Prepare to be inspired.
Harava Rafim means uh we are going to
have the privilege of hearing words of
directly from URA's founder and
spiritual leader. Rafim of course is
responsible for UR's entire existence
from back in the day. Rafim wasn't uh
really starting organizations. He was
just himself going doortodoor knocking
on doors and helping trying to convince
Jewish parents to send their children to
yeshiva. And though obviously URA has
grown tremendously since those days,
Rabim is still intimately involved in
every aspect of the organization. And
one program he's perhaps most known for
is Ask the Rabbi, which every Tuesday
night they have in um online and it's
it's really from Staten Island. It's a
live stream and they um you can ask your
elements all sorts of questions,
questions that come from all walks of
life from different people and he's able
to explain them. Uh it's actually there
are two editions uh in book form of Ask
the Rabbi with years of all those
insightful questions and answers on
Ashkafa and Jewish practice published in
one easy to read text which is available
at your local Jewish bookstore. And of
course, we we encourage your listeners
to check out the full archive of Ask the
Rabbi clips on YouTube
if you have YouTube. And you can send in
your questions at any time to ask the
rabbi.org. And tune in weekly at
ura.org at I believe 8:30 p.m. on
Tuesdays for Ask the Rabbi. And now we
turn to Rabbi Mintz for a powerful and
timely messages.
Good to all. I hope everybody a very
uplifting enjoyable shabas and all all
have also having a very enjoyable mu
shabas listening to the uh
auction. I'd like to uh say some words
of
uh good reason why to help financially
uh we do great work with the money that
we
receive come from and uplifts
it we say in every day
that the benefit and the greatness of
man over animals is nothing cuz
everything in the world is worthless.
Whatever you might
have more than an animal but since it's
worthless so you go back like being an
animal person has like an animal again
hands and feet eyes and
nose person has things better than
animals but we said but worthless so
it's like you don't have it. So like an
animal. What makes a person not like an
animal? If they have Torah person has
Torah. So that makes them not an animal
don't have Torah. And what makes us
human beings and worth living worth
being created because we have the Torah
to learn and mit to perform and that
makes us into human beings. So with that
we understand cuz I'll say we have a
person who teaches his
sons Torah the teacher to a person's to
some person who has a child to teach the
son of somebody else it's as if he
himself gave birth to that person he was
not biologically he's not a son but he
teaches him to if he gave birth to him
so it's understandable
Because before a person has to like an
animal. What makes a person into a human
being? By teaching Torah. So he take
took him out from being an animal into a
human being. By teaching him Torah
because everything else in the world is
is worthless. Person not going to take
with him when he dies. He takes only
Torah with him. Only
mit. So therefore we have to realize
by we are having
children that we don't realize not
biological children but we have made
children through the uh observance and
the study of Torah because make them
into human beings take them and make
them into a human being. So therefore
kill the other if you gave birth to him
because that's the main birth of a
person is not the animalistic part but
his spiritual part. So therefore uh we
have to realize how great it is to help
the ura which would take so many
children and they're lost in the Judaism
and they're lost in their life. They
have no direction to follow and once
they get involved with study of Torah
and they have they have a proper
teaching people to teach them to guide
them in Torah they become human beings
by that and it all takes money funding
it doesn't come for nothing. So we hope
everybody will be very generous and
realize what a great cause they're
supporting and by doing this we're
getting a lot of adults and children to
study Torah. will make them into human
beings not animals are human beings and
that is the great merit of all you
helping have a good everybody and
everything you do
except everything you do that Hashem
wants you to do and we hope that it will
be a very happy week and successful week
and all good things should
happen we are back here at at the URA
studios continuing the Uathon and we're
about to start our next segment and
every year URA always finds exciting
topics, things that are relevant, things
to discuss, things we can learn from URA
and maybe bring it back to our lives.
And this year, like all other years,
we're are we are getting ready for a
very exciting conversation with two
veteran
mankes on Ura. And we call this segment
bringing Gishmak home. Oh wow. Bringing
Gishmak home. And I'm not exactly sure
what that means. You bring Gishmak home.
It sounds good. Where do you get the
gishmach from? Where do you bring it
from? How do you bring it to your home?
The whole idea. But before we get into
it, let's first introduce our new panel.
Not new panelists, but people that are
new to the program tonight that are
joining us. Rabbi Yur Kleman is a
veteran man whose affiliation with Ur
goes back to its earliest days when he
was
ministades of experience as a
rebih made him the perfect candidate to
help get Ura's groundbreaking Torah
nuggets curriculum for zodiacs. Wur has
his own curriculum called Torah nuggets
for zodiacs. Incredible Schillers and
Tormes off the ground. He is quite
familiar with the zone's approach to kin
as his wife Rebbitson Lifshaw is the
beloved catmother in the girls camp and
the chief chiller of chill zones
Brooklyn girls location. Welcome. Thank
you. Thank you so much. I actually toan
be before you were broadcasting in the
Urusan. I was actually the first person
on radio speaking for 40 years ago. Wow.
By the very very first URA auction,
there was an UR auction 40 years ago,
there was something was not quite like
this, but down the road from the
yeshiva, there was a radio station and
every Matz shabas, there was this fellow
Duran had a radio program and he invited
me to come down and speak about Ura and
it went down in history. When I finally
came to give the phone number to call in
and I said to
call 800
u u r a h
was just 800
o my kids still make fun of it till this
day. Well that's very very wonderful to
have you here and of course do shuran
legendary kabber niggan of zahina of
course one of my favorites. Also with us
is of course Harav David Engel. He's a
renowned educator and lecturer who
travels extensively developing and
advising Makanim across the country as
director of leadership development at
the consortium of Jewish day schools. He
left a legacy of leadership behind him
in Toronto where he served as Manahal of
the Toronto until moving to Lakewood a
couple of years ago. As a contributor to
the ATE round table, Rabbi Engel's
well-rounded approach to Kinn has a wide
following. A longtime volunteer of Uras
who has joined us at many events over
the years, he officially joined the zone
girl division as Manahel last summer.
With all his credentials and decades of
experience, perhaps the most interesting
title Rabbi Engel holds is father of
quads. Canura Kain Yerbu. Okay, Rabbi
Engel, welcome to the Urathan. Thank you
so much. Great to be here. So, tell us a
little bit. We're talking about this uh
idea of bringing Gishmak home. Can you
tell us, Rabbi Angel, what what does
that mean exactly and what are we trying
to tell all the people out there about
URA and maybe what they can do in their
own homes? I have to tell I've been to
um several Yam Manura and um the way
they do Yamu, the way they do Shabas is
legendary and the kids just come there
and they they can't get enough.
And their favorite time, I could tell
you in camp, I was there last summer,
the favorite time of of week was Shabas.
They love Shabas. They love coming. They
love being in the dining room. They love
the energy. They love Davening Cabo
Shabas by the lake. They love doing all
these things that really, really inspire
them. Can I ask a question about that?
Cuz that would seem to me like one of
the big challenges that you have. I
mean, we're talking about kids who come
from homes where they are probably very
wired in. They're wired into
electronics, to media. And it's
interesting to me, how does URO deal
with that? You take kids who and now
it's a whole day of chabas and there's
no media you there's no there's no
entertainment quite in the classic
sense. How does URA deal with that um in
the zone?
So um all I could say is it's very real.
Everything the Ur does is very real and
these girls and these boys that have
kind of empty lives as we know with all
the technology and everything and they
see the way the staff from top to bottom
mints comes to camp on Shabas and he
gives a class at 1:30 in the morning and
the place is packed and people can't get
enough and the girls that come to the
first Shabas Suda wearing their jeans or
wearing their skirts and then two weeks
weeks later they want to dress sneeze
dick. How does that happen? It's really
it's real. That's what it is. And the
way that it's it's given over with an
excitement. They infuse the whole camp
with excitement and they're always
looking for new sticklook, new things
they could do. And it's just an
