for inviting me to this event this really I've been here I know this store at least 30 some OD years and this bent seems really renovated to make this place beautiful L the one thing I know about you is your you like your variety of herrings and variety of dips hering I know yi yi once had me do a pickup for him and I learned so much about Heron that didn't know exist so this is a unique event we figured we need a unique guy somebody who's excelled and progressed through the Through the Ages you know certain composers and singers they were good for certain time periods we green seems as yeah so Yi green many of our viewers had questions for you my my first question is where does Yi green shop where does he go to get clothing Yi's always wearing the coolest clothing out there where I can get a v i like V I'm always wondering a lot of singers and people who are not singers people like to sing they always sing in the shower does you see Green sing in the shower and if yes what no I don't sing in the shower of all I was young I don't know if anybody I don't know what is if you sing in the shower you lose your voice you ever hear this any any anybody ever heard this you sing in the shower you lose voice is AC I have no idea what it was anyway so since then I holding out to whatever that voice is one of the things I always wonder is he hears some of these amazing compositions and one thing about your compositions are they're not just a simple Melody they're very complex they have a beginning interlude end and the interludes become a part of the song The intros become part of a song has there ever been a time while you listening to other Jewish music that you think hey I wish I would have composed that song at some point I listen to souls that I love not that I wish that I wrote I mean whoever wrote it wrote it and look for them but beautiful song There Years love to listen that I how does y see green Runing process start uh as they say the chicken and the ex all comes first the lyrics or the m so there is a uh there's an interesting I think was the Dr Timothy says that you see there something called M and M so I always wondering what's the difference M and M it turns out that the says that m is the music part of the song and is the lyric and there were times was inspired first by a melody followed the lyric afterwards that called misar and other times I did the lyric first and V A Melody last was sh misar I will tell you that in the last 25 years I would say 99% of the time I'm inspired by lri something that I see something very special something that I feel that I that I understand a certain way that I would like I'd like to share with the Audience by the piano and try to find a way to interpret the lyric not about the intros and it's not about the arrangements and it's not about the that you were saying before it's about can can we share the message can the message be interpreted through music do you feel that that will help the song be more successful because the creating of the composition came from your understanding the lyrics I'm not sure what you mean by successful to me the songs go on to be more popular to be ESS to me to me a successful song is a song that is M they they they love it they sing it so I feel that I was a to get people to say certain holy words as a result of a Melody I kind of feel that sort of Ding and learning together with that's me very very special if we achieve if if I can achieve a Melody that will make people sing make people want to hear it make people want to express it then I feel that I'm do you feel that there are many songs in today's day and age that people are using the same lyrics they're coming redundant no I'll tell you I believe that everybody who writes music has has their way of of of uh of interpreting we we find we find I'll give you an example I something that I found to in the morning which is I found the BR thator says that that when it comes to chuba that if one person does chuba is all the of everybody amaz so that is that's like I mean I'm the age that I am a grandchild I never heard this you so I believe a lyric like this I believe a BRI like this needs to have a Melody associated with so that people can get to hear this so that people shouldn't say that they haven't heard the r that's the that's the to for me on the other hand I mean you've introduced some very interesting gumar that W beforeand uh you know that weren't lyrics ever used before for your question you were saying about lyrics that are still being used by many different people again if a lyric is used for the purpose somebody has a Melody that he wants to dump up to the lyric it doesn't work if the lyric is really used properly where it's really it's really used because you want to communicate you want to share something a real thought a real thought a a Jewish idea something to make somebody feel something then the melody will it doesn't matter how many I hear um when people come for a song let's say they buy a song yes do you feel you have ch ended and you sold his song and you don't really care what happens then after that the arrangements or how's the final products come out or question I I don't I kind of first of all I don't have songs that I I have inventory of s some comes inventory have the reper I don't have an inventory people come in inventory come ask he's asking is how I write a song when I finish song singer am I am I done with it and do I am I disappointed of most people who purchase a song from you love to have your vocals on that song something to involve when to have want to have the vocals on the song automatically hear the ring of the song that's hearing number one you know pampering a singer that this Arrangement would be like that and I would add this and that that means you care for the sing a lot and you make sure it's done on the proper talking already from the production and the song is already done I'm talking about when when the first time you into my house my house numerous numerous different people more they they somehow contact him they're afraid of me for whatever reason they called him and he is no problem at 2:00 at night he says no one calls the King stop stop stop stop anyway so so so he bring he brings he brings over a guy to me and I'll sit down with him and then starts this kind of an interview I get to know the singer what is he what what does he want to say does he does he have any strong feelings about any any specific idea inish kind which by the way is where it begins and ends with me when it comes to Jewish music so it's not about tone of voice it's about his personality exactly it's about his personality who he is as a person yeah because naturally my own feelings about for this what I just told you about somebody does one person does true with the entire world for everybody that's something that's very exciting to me because I'm a little bit of older some of these younger guys they've never even g a no yet so they're not even worried about about so how tell how it works when you sit down would you tell everybody watching how does it work when when we when we sit down with a singer what's the process fast so they come sh and say well I have six songs for my album and I need a what you do they'll do that I mean that's that's not going posi shirts I they need I need horror here got one disco they have formulas two rocks one disco two Horrors I love to do with that to me it's it's it's a song one you know what I find amazing when come to Yi the singer sits down and says Yi I need a song like that song all of a sudden Yi put on that finger on the piano the opposite St that the guy star wanted and the story the stor yes now just give a process you know be it's funny cuz when you look at y's uh pre presentations I guess when it says you see green present let's say Dad or do the fish I don't think you had any idea of let me get a wedding song let me get it you just S I want Stellar songs that showcase what words mean what this guy's voice can do that showcases him the right way that you never went shopping around for the UL what I somebody comes to sit down ask WR a soul once we have our connection we establish a connection whatever happens connection always happens I've never seen never seen I've never seen non connection happen see you as a composer what I mean we we get into this once in a while but you write a song and you sell a song Now what's your connection to that song and what's that singer's connection to the song meaning anybody can take it anybody can use it the singer can use it so many times what's the realistic you're ask you're asking from a business perspective business perspective want to make sure nice question okay so the way it works in the world of Music the way it works is you sell the use of the song for that one time on the recording so live it becomes the singer song perform it many times all over the world for the for the to sell it on a on existing CD or whatever project the song always so when you see these albums coming out with collections or what everybody come great that's why the hips and the sh green series are so sought after well I'm doing my own col viewers what you're working on right now some inter very niceu you L I keep seeing that you're in shag Studio mon what's happening in sh Studio there's a lot of different things there's first of all there is there's a young man Israel doing PS doing gu SCH SCH I'm very I'm very interested in developing as many new singers as possible and I think that's important I don't know how many composers especially composers that are you know not of the younger generation who are looking to work and cultivate the younger generation ensuring that there's going to be Vol products coming up in the future I I think everybody's I think all working some you good young composers out there they doing great and they're we're sharing some of these albums together one of the things you haven't mentioned is the F music book in new well the music book may be a music app know because the actual printing of a book is very expensive but U I've been working for a bunch of few years already g notes it's a collection of 36 songs with the exact notes of for piano for intermediate piano Arrangement which we don't you don't see you see books that have guitar chords on and so on and many schools music schools over the world have contacted me to find out why why they can't have music books with Jewish music that's arranged in an intermediate way so that students all over the world were learning the learn so I got together with right yes gski and gari gari gari does the the arrangements I recorded I record all the songs are recorded played by him so this this book or app will have will have the songs already done the way performed by him as well is the the piano player that we have when you came in from this project that's a very good question which I think we should ask if it's if you answer what's what's the difference between a amateur 16-year-old kid composing a song and how does he get to move up to you know like to the level where is right now how does he how does he progress just so everybody has their own you know right everybody has their own l kid now that they're composing poed what was itye is not necessarily that was that was the question question the you're asking specifically what you're asking how do a 16-year-old WR who writes music who wants how does he how does he come in and grow bigger and bigger okay so first of all the first requirement for somebody who wants to write music is the desire to write music everybody wants right the gentleman owns the Del 52 I don't think his desire is to ride Sals his desire is to present a very very good product food to the to theer food to the market corre so as soon as somebody already feels that he has a sh to wrri a song that's already suff number one okay from that point time depending on on on you start obviously in the beginning you WR your songs are not that sophisticated you have but you also have an audence around you have 15 16 year old friends who are not so sophisticated so they're not looking for our level songs from him you have to understand there a very big one of the problems that I find go right in singing we have we have a young kid comes out like ay gner or green these are not how does you can't compare them to somebody's been seeing for 30 years so one of the problems that we have over here is right away does not sing better than that's not that's not the point shimang is singing shangle is 24 he sings gorgeous by the way he is going to be singing to the people that he grew up with who are not listening to the more sophisticated singers because they don't even get to understand singing you have to you have to be a little old appreciate his singing I know you are trust me trust me you're not you're not how he interpret song and trust you will one day look at me and say you know something I can't believe him the older I get the better he gets I have never the Amazon everything so far 100% correct it's not it's not an issue I'm saying I'm saying I would argue no but I'm saying you understand so to begin with we can't when you have a 16-year-old that um what's your name again Ros you have a 16y old that's writing music as long as he feels like he wants to write he's already has one one step in the right direction and then he is writing not for me he's writing he's writing for his for his friends and for his kids and for his family for his Camp friends and that's where he's going to connect he will connect and he will grow from there so you don't think that he should go out and learn and read up on what musical composition is or how music works and go to music school any of those things you don't think that's that's necessary to writing a Jewish song absolutely not musicool when he sing Jewish song you have to ask him the question that everybody asks what makes the song Jewish it's all written by a Jew he's answer there's no told I I told you something very contrs sorry I that I'm working on right now so right right now you understand like I wrote for right when I was in which is getting whatever when I was when I was in that song I thought that song was I felt I can't tell you how Inc whatever it is I'm saying you know right now I'm working with right so I have another piece for re pH I always looking to is there another way that can I find something else that's sound very very emotional story with this song the only emotional story I can tell I learned learn I learned 31 years ago I recently 31 years ago that's all me to to go through the I I can't do those guys are geniuses I I can't I didn't I did my thing slowly and I I started again Rec and I got to I got I got to the and I saw I remembered what happened 31 years ago and I burst so to me I I saw that
