Overnight, US military launched a drone attack on Larak Island, an Iranian island in the Persian Gulf. The attack hit two rocket launchers. Losing it would stop almost all out oil flows instantly and cause a global economic crisis, which they already have kind of." The oil will go to refill United States emergency oil supplies and the government's backup fuel stockpile for a national crisis. The emergency supply is currently at a 44-year low of 290 million barrels. President Trump posted on social media on Sunday to announce the deal. He said, "The unrefined oil is quote a gift from Venezuela to the people of the United States." Acting Venezuelan President Rodriguez went on government television Saturday night to defend the agreement. She said her country will not just give away its oil. The Venezuelan government will keep strict ownership and makes about $19 on every barrel sold. Rodriguez said that that could bring in $29 billion for her country.
