Now, both cases were dismissed, not because a jury found them innocent, and not because guilt was proven beyond a reasonable doubt, but only because the judge said the prosecutor's appointment was illegal. This detail matters because headlines can give you the impression that the entire investigation was fake or or a political witch hunt and that the judge simply wanted a way to shut it down.
