okay everybody this is a very special
moment for all of us this is the
nation of the most incredible online
program that's been out there the last
couple of months and just the ability to
get so many Jews from all over the
country together like this and connect
over something that makes us uniquely
Jewish so normally we start off asking
everybody where they're from I think we
have a good idea of which cities are
involved in this in this program so I
thought of a one-minute talking point
because as outreach rabbis we like
meeting for coffee so in your chat box
we would love to know are you a
Starbucks person or are you a small
coffee shop person because you get both
types let's be honest I always just jump
into a Starbucks because it's the coffee
I know and they have them all over the
place
Kara Rosenthal is into the small coffee
shops I feel like Houstonians are all
into the small coffee has anybody tried
the nitro group give me a thumbs up if
you've tried the Starbucks nitro group
anybody am I the only one okay well if a
dunken only or by Lauren's had G off
Dunkin Donuts kollel zoom nitro if you
are this is not an ad for Starbucks if
you're ever super low energy and you
want energy for the day the week the
month this this stuff is incredible
okay amazing so as people are coming in
we're just saying hi to all of you and
we're gonna start our program very very
shortly we want to thank you all for
sticking with us all this time I feel
like we became like a family like a
virtual online family when you go into a
program you never know how it's gonna go
is it gonna jive is it gonna be awkward
are we gonna succeed and you know what I
realized time and again I'm always
surprised that when it gets to Jewish
people together and everybody's coming
in a positive way you know it's all a
question of where there's a will with
there's a way if everybody comes into
any Jewish program with a desire for it
to succeed it's gonna work it's gonna
succeed we were able thanks to rabbi
roberts rabbi schmoly everybody give it
up
a Robertson schmoly from st. Louis and
Detroit for spearheading this program I
personally it's not that I was skeptical
I was like it let's see how this goes
you know there's this Yiddish slang term
that's been going around called azumed
excuse oomp is is basically this idea
that you have like zum fatigue it's like
after a whole day at work and like rabbi
you really want me jumping on a screen
again you're telling me like an hour of
Judaism on a screen after a long day
rabbi it's not what I want and we get
that and so you've made an effort to
come you came you showed up today is the
finale and I don't know if our logistics
coordinator could put some final
countdown music or not but maybe we'll
do that towards the end of the show okay
like we always do every single week I am
excited to present to you actually a new
friends that I met over the last year or
two from Detroit a spotlight student
this week is our very own shelby miller
of detroit who is with partners detroit
young professionals please give her your
ear everybody thank you so much
alright hello everyone
yes I had the pleasure of meeting rabbi
Johnny and a bunch of people from
Houston and Chicago on our recent
travels before the lockdown and shutdown
of everything so that was incredible but
I was asked to speak a little bit about
the experience of Shabbat table all in
all and what its kind of meant to be a
part of it um I will be honest I was a
little skeptical in the beginning as
Johnny said you know all right I spent
all day on my computer for work now I
have to do this and Detroit it's nine
o'clock by the time we're done it's 10
you know we're tired but it honestly is
the best decision I made during
quarantine I have gained so much from it
it's encouraged me to you know add
little pieces of Shabbat and Judaism
into my life a little more than I kind
of had started to do and one thing that
it really inspired me to do was try and
bring Shabbat in
and keep a full Shabbat at least like
once a month but one thing that's really
encouraged though is to definitely light
the candles every Friday and you know
say the prayers and just really enjoy
what Shabbat is supposed to be about and
I feel like this program really gave
permission to kind of do Shabbat in
whatever way satisfies your own soul and
what it means to you and how you want to
you know bring it into your own life and
I think it's great to meet people that
are at different steps in life and
different levels of observance because
you see that we're all the same and we
all love to come together at the end of
the week and it's just a matter of how
we do it individually so it's been a
really great experience and I'm really
glad that you guys decided to make it a
part of our corona quarantine thank you
so much Shelby that was amazing and yeah
round of applause for Shelby thank you
so much we're so excited to have you
with us once again okay so it's actually
very very exciting it is my pleasure and
distinct honor to announce and let you
all know that we the rabbis were so
excited about this entire program and
the participation and the energy that we
have behind your backs
that's right we've been secretly
plotting and planning this unbelievable
wait for it Shabbat table Colorado
Shabbat own everybody yes that is right
we are looking God willing as soon as
all this coronavirus passes and within
reason when things settle down we are
going to be launching a national Shabbat
table exclusive young professionals
Colorado Shabbat own everyone is invited
and not just that each cities
organization is going to be presenting
special subsidies each city is going to
have their own different setup for this
Shabbat own to enable you to come with
us okay especially pending this other
announcement that I'd like to make and
that is ladies and gentlemen introducing
you to the
25-hour shabbat challenge okay what
we've been doing for the last eight
weeks nine weeks has been developing an
appetite for Shabbat the beauty of
Shabbat why Shabbat is important the
different elements of Shabbat why we
love show about why it's kept us Jewish
etc etc it's tasty it's yummy
it gives us an it gives our neshama a
high all of that has been an inspiration
for us to actually implement and attempt
to increase please God our Shabbat
observance and to give it a shot so
there's two things that I'm excited to
announce number one we are announcing
the 25 hour Shabbat challenge where you
will have the option either this week of
joining this challenge or next about as
well if it's too short notice for you
what is the Shabbat challenge
essentially we're asking yourself to
challenge yourself to keep Shabbat if
that means less or no driving cooking
trying to do something that preserves
within your family and in your home the
spirit of connection the spirit of
serenity that we are so looking for that
growth oriented period of time that is
so unique for the Jewish people so that
is the 25 hour challenge I am going to
post a link right now in the chat box
it's a Google spreadsheet for you to
click on and sign up we already have a

know it's not easy it's not a simple
thing to try something like this but
it's gonna be amazing
we want to know how it went afterwards
and and I just want to give a very very
quick recap and then we are immediately
going to introduce our incredible
incredible guest speaker so the last
eight weeks have been amazing and we
learn in life and in Judaism that if you
don't digest and review what you've
learned it doesn't become a part of you
we want the Shabbat table to become a
part of us and so I'm gonna give you a
very very quick quick recap of
everything we've done in eight weeks the
first week we had Charlie our Ari who
taught us all about the crossover that
we need to be busy but then we also need
to focus on just being in the moment the
next week week two we had the famous or
my Costco teaching us all about letting
go letting go letting go and letting God
letting God be a part of us how to have
faith and not work on Shabbat week three
we had our by Tendler emphasized the
gift of Shabbat it's a gift
we can't view it as a prohibition we
can't view it as a restriction we have
to view it as the most amazing
opportunity for connection and for
growth we then add Rebbetzin still
Herman who was incredible and
passionately told us all about candle
lighting and how we create a lasting
impression on who we are and for our
future generations asking ourselves what
do we want our children or our
grandchildren to look like week five
rabbi lady Burnham of Partners Detroit
teaching us all about avoiding the
physical not avoiding the physical world
but rather elevating it to make it
special think about the beautiful
candles think about mahalo the delicious
food it's all about taking the physical
and elevating it on Shabbat week six mr.
Gary Torgo taught us all about the power
of Shabbat and shared some beautiful
stories about its impact on people and
how it enhanced his own life as a Jew
week seven again we had mr. Charlie
Harare teaching us all about kiddush he
gave the analogy about the grape how the
beauty Andy and the enhancement of the
grape lies in school
the great everything that we have to be
great is within us sometimes we need to
look inside ourselves to bring out that
greatness and go the extra mile last
week we had mrs. Tamar Livingstone
teaching us all about kala which
represents bread from heaven that we
don't need to go overboard we don't even
need to exhaust ourselves to be good
enough we need to be happy with who we
are
ladies and gentlemen give it up for a
very dear friend of mine who actually is
the author of these two incredible books
the future all about mushiya and jus got
questions any everything and everything
Judaism you have in this book I couldn't
find the third one but it's probably I
probably gave it to one of my young
professionals it's the famous will Jew
marry me for those of you that are dates
minded and currently in that process a
great way to enhance your marriage your
dating without further ado why you
professor and dear friend of Allah me
rabbi Lawrence hajiyev hi guys Shalom
Shalom Wow rubbish and what a beautiful
reduction thank you and all of you
congratulations on weeks and weeks of
study you are all Shabbat experts
there's not really much I can add just a
little icing to the cake maybe the
cherry on the icing on the cake that
we're gonna look at this evening as we
discuss the end of Shabbat it was I so
nicely the end of your course on Shabbat
your weeks together and I get to give
you the end of Shabbat itself which of
course you all know if you've ever been
to a Shabbat on is Havdalah Havdalah the
end process and maybe the thing you know
what it's Abdullah any Shabbat she bucks
all about kiddush and having the three
meals and spending time with family and
singing songs is that eat or go to class
go to synagogue and I bow as I your
honor whoever just like a little bit the
endured a lasting a little bit answer
your swash Everett on all of you weekend
away and Shalom - Rob Diana things they
and I fall into the same trap sometimes
as well
Halle has within it all the secrets you
need to know about everything that
should not encapsulate what are the
things we sing I don't if you heard this
already we sing on Friday night in
synagogue is soft master but mashup
kela I'll translate those words and I'll
explain them to you the end of all
action is the beginning of all thought
that is something we sing in lahardee
what is that expression talking about my
friends something very very important
you see Shabbat as you know comes at the
end of the week a bill thing well it's
time to be off but it's not a Shabbat
off it's a Shabbat on excuse me for that
one I apologize I'll be here all night
enjoy the chicken
it's a Shabbat on and so we don't go
down if you like start off here on
Sunday it goes down to Monday choose
anything you get to Shabbat you like
plot sing am I
totally out of it that's all the way it
is each day gets us a little bit closer
to Shabbat because Shabbat is the end
the apex of the week every other day
leads up to that point that's why no day
in the week has a name
in Judaism Sunday's youngish on Monday
is young Shanee day two and we have day
three I'm Sheila she then release every
day as a number until we get to the one
day that is a name that Shabbat because
it's the only name that has a the only
day of the week that has an Hashanah
shame is a name and those are the middle
letters of the word neshama soul so
every day of the week leads up to that
point to that apex so that means the
most important part of creation is the
end of creation which is not mankind but
it's actually Shabbat because Shabbat
comes at the end as we show you know you
leave to that point well in Shabbat
itself following the same principle the
end would be the most important part
right makes sense and then we have Dulla
as Shabbat goes as it leaves us we are
able to capture something so important
that actually pulls everything together
because the end of all action we begin
with the end in mind that's what we're
saying we begin the week with the end in
mind always think about Shabbat we're
counting up to it and Shabbat is all
then leading to that last moment that
last vestige that is the kaduche to the
holiness of Shabbat and we celebrate
those last moments with
very special Tori Mitzvahed and those
mid spots have within them and the words
we say all the different customs but the
son words we all say that Ashkenazim or
safar dim we put together into those
final moments of Shabbat when we fulfill
it let's have a look at those well first
of all as well have the liven mean it
means to have dill to separate
we're separating something we're
separating Shabbat that 25 hour
challenge that we take every single week
that your God willing we taking
yourselves very soon and we are going to
instill in those moments something that
is gonna separate and yet help launch us
into the next week because Shabbat
actually technically speaking isn't
really even the end of the week and the
metaphor that I give you is actually
visual metaphor if you can imagine it is
the menorah the menorah as you know was
the seven-branched candelabra that was
in the Mishkan in the tabernacle and
then the big diminish the Holy Temple in
Jerusalem and it had three weights on
one side three or another and there was
one in the middle so that's seven
altogether represented the seven days of
the week well which one's Shabbat the
middle one which is why the first three
faced this way and the latter theory
facing this way it should but is
actually in the middle the three weeks
were actually tilted in a little bit you
have Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday
Thursday Friday and then Shabbat was
that middle candle everything leads to
all Shabbat and it's actually laws that
even have dolla that we say hopefully on
message about Saturday night can
actually set for three days out do see
if you've got to say it because you're
still channeling in you're still part of
you're still piping in the power that is
your butt into sunny Monday and even
Tuesday so that's what hub dollars gonna
do it's gonna separate and yet connect
the three days that come after Shabbat
as the three days before lead us into
Shabbat itself hope you're all following
let's have a look at some of the
beautiful words the rabbi's put together
over here he may behold early Schuette
half that full of cud let me translate
that to you behold God is good classic
in zxy bencher you can't go wrong with
is bad boy you can't go wrong every
average rappers got a whole stack of
these that's why we never take wedding
benches right from weddings or like you
know uh I got enough of these thank you
so much still the classic still the
classic behold god is my salvation I
will have trust and not be afraid what a
strange way to begin Havdalah god is my
salvation I will not be afraid why am I
afraid I just had Shabbat
well shabbat over and shabbat is Shalom
it is piece it is shall lame it is
complete now we're leaving the
protective barrier that's called Shabbat
and we're moving into the workweek and
it's scary especially if you have kids
sunday is a scary time hey you know
people think that sunday is a fun day
just hang out nobody have kids so then
you go to the work week and we're
dealing with so many struggles of Parana
Samak you're living in all the
challenges that come with it and so we
put our salvation in God and we say I'm
not afraid I know that Shabbat protects
me for these 25 hours and that's one of
the powers that Shabbat has it protects
the Jewish people more than the Jewish
people keeps your butt's Shabbat keeps
the Jewish people and now we're leaving
that safe space that that Haven of
Shalom going in and we're saying don't
be afraid because if you keep Shabbat
Shabbat will be with you for the rest of
the week as well and that's how we begin
and indeed the Lord is my strength in my
song and he'll become my salvation one
of the aspects that are valid actually
many people follow Havdalah with is a
lie to the Prophet earlier Navi we
invoke his name why we mention the name
of Elijah the prophet well it's the same
reason we invite Elijah the Prophet to
our pacer Seder you see on Shabbat the
Messiah cannot come however on Saturday
night the Messiah can come why can't he
come on Shabbat or even error of Shabbat
because we're too busy we got to knee
Mitzvahed and therefore Messiah cannot
come on Shabbat itself as I said in my
book the future vailable on amazon.com
shameless plug and so now Shabbat is
over we mentioned early on na vi's
nature say come on we
ready for the full salvation which is
what Alam Papa the next world that the
arrival of Messiah will begin and it's
Elijah's the job
Elijah's job to announce the arrival of
the Messiah and so Shabbat goes out and
now is like you know God you my
salvation
let's bring Elijah the Prophet lemon now
so come in the Messiah as the prophet
Isaiah tells us and now we be able to
have the time that is all Shabbat
because the next world
allama bath is actually called or lunch
should call a Shabbat the world that is
all Shabbat one of the ways that we're
able to even capture the next world to
earn the next world is through Shabbat
Shabbat is the Attar next whoa what does
that mean that means in order to fully
appreciate what the next world is a time
where there's no work and there's no
struggle and no competition you've got
to keep Shabbat it's the gateway into
the next world
some say that if you don't keep at least
one Shabbat you won't even be able to
appreciate what the next world has to
give you it will be a foreign agent and
therefore one of the ways as it says the
Gemara that it's sung about by many pop
stars I think just one Shabbos will all
be free Shabbat is the power to bring us
into the next world and that transition
from Shabbat into the workweek is
representative of that transition phase
that's my friend
what Shabbat is bringing you it's
bringing in to the next world okay so
that's we talked about the salvation of
God at this time and we put trust in God
as it said and the Jews have value
LaHood later all of a synthesis on
Dakara now those four words to the
initiate uninitiated may be purely for
Saturday night for matzah Shabbat
however my dear friends it's not true
those four words are found in thee
anybody know in the Megillah which one
Gillett Esther and those are the words
of celebration that the Jewish people
announced after their salvation from the
hands of officially rosh and Haman at
the Purim story those four words are
actually code words
although they mean the juicer Draven's
happiness joy and honor they represent
for mitzvahs Shabbat the Jewish holidays
tefillin and Britain Mila circumcision
the mitzvot that hold us together and
keep us going as the Jewish people and
the time of Purim the Jews people were
forbidden from celebrating those four
key mitzvot and so we celebrate the
ultimate celebration that allows us to
even keep Shabbat which is one of those
four so we have tremendous joy that
comes to us that we've had the honor to
keep Shabbat and of course to radiate
its light into the next week okay so now
the introductory words to have Dulla
have been said in the different customs
I said but the essence that I always
spoke about it appears in every single
of the laughs organism or safar dim and
then we make three blessings my friends
we make blessings on wine on spices and
on flame on fire let's go through this
for a moment on wine you've heard about
kaboosh same thing kaduche is that thing
when you make the blessing of a wine
which by the way has to be a full cup
Kaushal bracha male technical thing will
you make Kadosh at on Shabbat or Jewish
holiday or Abdullah or after wedding I
just formed a wedding a corona wedding
right on last Sunday the cup must be
full to the brim because we want a cup
of life and salvation in joy to be full
and overflowing some people even have a
custom to let it overflow just a little
bit or just to appear above the rim so
that's how you should fill your cup for
have Allah
well wine is always used as a transition
as well it brings us into Shabbat and it
takes us a virgin but it brings us into
the new life of a baby we have wine at a
Brit Milah
and we drink wine as well at a wedding
because this couple are now forming a
new existence for themselves and as I'm
sure you heard from previous speakers
wine is transition it transitions us and
it lifts us up right it talks about the
greatness of the day and the greatness
of the person a trabajar Ari mentioned I
do it mr. Ari mentioned when you drink
wine wine is that thing which you crush
and
Yunis comes out of you but why not is
also something that lifts us up right it
lifts us up when you drink wine if and I
say yeah and the wine comes in
yes sir Sud the secrets come out the joy
in the in earnest of the person not too
much why not too much comes out but a
little bit of wine is gonna help to lift
us up to celebrate so that is the power
of wine wine always represents the
transition of one time into another and
that's times of joy on Pesach Seder
we're doing four cups of wine is a fifth
cup of wine that will be drunk when
Messiah comes we call that a cup of
Elijah cuz the light is going to
announce the arrival of the Messiah of
Messiah okay so that's the wine blessing
and you obviously know that very clear
definite as we said every Jewish holiday
in Shabbat and Brit Milah and weddings
that blessing is said then we just say
rather unusual we make a blessing over
spices and these are spices that are you
traditionally for smelling and so people
will use a cloves or cinnamon right
they'll use something some plant that
has a very great fragrance that we make
the blessing our berry minae this some
my son usually don't you make blessings
of a spices and here we do that so I'll
actually tell you a couple of very
interesting things that many people
under are not aware of in order to do
that we have to look back at what we say
actually it's part of the kid Russia
Shabbat morning but it comes from the
Torah when we say Vachon Reuben a
throughout the Shabbat and the Jewish
people have to guard the Shabbat last
sort of Shabbat to make the Shabbat the
dura Tom for generations Brit Olam a
constant promise forever
Britta's a is a promise by new baby nice
job it's a secret between me and the
Jewish people says God the other nations
don't have Shabbat that's why they keep
our different days Hashem fashioned it
that way but the Jewish people are the
only ones that keep it on Saturday
itself Oh Tito lamb it's a sign that
will be for the Jewish people forever
just like a sign outside of store tells
us what's inside the store this sign of
the Jewish people there's one sign that
stands outside the Jewish people as a
nation
it's Shabbat is what represents us it's
also Brittany lent to fill in but
Shabbat is our sign the sign comes down
there's no store right if you see a sign
that's put down outside a store you know
the stores lying business so - if
Shabbat ever goes away for the Jewish
people which it never will we know the
Jewish people are out of business which
we never will be and so we always have
that sign with us King shave my massage
table - my Bartlett's because God pitted
the world in six days bristle in the
sentence you know how Vives Shabbat now
look at the last word Vienna fash way
enough hush she translated as and he
rested on that day via nefesh she rested
the worthy enough Usher's the Gemara
something quite fascinating is actually
two words stuck together
oi nefesh you can make the word vine a
fash to also read if you play around the
vowels as a nefesh what is what oh you
mean hello you're Jewish
all right something Bad's happened
nafech my soul strange
we welcome to Shabbat with vena fuch our
soul has been lifted and then at the
editor but we say oi nefesh my soul has
now been put into a bad circumstance why
because shibata's left us and the extra
soul that we arrived with on Friday
night and then we added to on Shabbat
morning in our to fill it in rusev or at
Kadesh the extra soul the neshamah you
say route or neshama atera has been well
that was given to us on shall we get an
expanded extra so some says an extra
salt some like rushy says an expanded
soul has now been taken away is Saturday
night all right
I feel terrible so how do we lift up our
spirits we smell nice spices they
invigorate us just like a person who's
faints we give her a smelling salt - so
- on mossy sure but the extra soul has
left us and what are we gonna do we are
going to breathe something in type of
smell I tell you one little Kabbalistic
idea is your last class I'm gonna throw
it in for you we know that Adam and Eve
in the Garden of Eden
CIND in a number of ways they saw the
fruit on the tree they heard God's voice
they touched telling them not eat from
it they touched and they tasted but
there's one sense that was never
affected because it was never used we
are not totally smelled the fruit so the
sense of smell is the purest sense that
we have and actually the one that is
linked the most to memory that's why
when you smell some things the smell
takes you right back
finally I had to go visit my school many
is after I left my high school my
yeshiva to speak over there and I smell
you know the old smell of the school and
I went straight back to the principal's
office where I spent most of my yeshiva
days smell is what actually connects us
directly to the past the olfactory
system as it's called so too
when we smell we get reinvigorated and
lifts up our souls and then we are a
nephesh om my soul don't worry smell
this it'll lift you up to a much better
place and then finally make our final
blessing and that was our penultimate
one before the last over flames over
fire now the fire we use for Abdullah is
different from every other fire that we
light on a yard site on the anniversary
of death we light one candle because the
camera presents the soul of the deceased
and so there's one candle one week when
Shabbat comes in as you know you like to
1k show more walking naked za hor
one for garnish a but one for
remembering Shabbat we God right
represents all of the negative mitzvot
if the God not to bring the negative
Mitzvahed and then the positive miss
spots are these Ajo to remember you
remember by doing things but they're
separate they're distinct and they held
apart so you have two candles as Shabbat
comes in and they are held apart at the
end of Shabbat you do something unusual
we lighten a VUCA a multi wikked flame
to is sufficient but fancy canons of two
three or four and we
like a multi wycked flame which you
could buy in sput or any Jewish store
always have candles to live but they're
multi whipped why is that because as
Shabbat come in my my two souls are
separate I'm held apart I'm shy Mervis a
heart I'm two different beings but when
shall but leaves us finally we've
managed to intertwine our fires our
souls into one thing and so Havdalah is
actually the culmination of how you
brush up ruts in with two separate
flames that is the secret one of the
secrets of the multi wicked candle which
projects so much light which is gonna
light up the rest of our weeks and then
we finish off with the final blessing
God who separates the holy from the
mundane Kodesh the whole the weekday is
good whole whole meals weekday but it
also means sand
why would word for sand be the same as
the word for weekday because each sand
granules sand has no power it's only
when it's bunched together that it has
Valley right you could step on it you
could walk on it
but each grain doesn't do too much so
the days of the week are just little
bits of sand that are scattered
throughout the weeks months years and
decades but Shabbat is Kadosh it is holy
it is the most holy it's what keeps the
Jewish holy as well I'm of the been all
of Hasek so we took our separation and
that's gonna be what I want to leave you
with the idea of separation right babe
Orla ho chef between lights and
documents Bayes rule omim between the
Jewish people and the other nations
veiny Amish me and the seventh day from
the rest of the week we saw a shaman
Marvel bein kodesh the whole blessed are
You Hashem who separates the holy from
the mundane they are separate but Hashem
gave us the power to intertwine those
flames and to connect them via Havdalah
to the rest of the week and so my
friends that the end of Shabbat what you
entered into with wine you eggs it with
wine where you
do separate flames now connected you are
a connected being what you came in with
a sad and depressed state right hard
week has now been hold together with
beautiful shifter but and now you move
into the rest of the week by
invigorating yourself with fire and with
wine and with beautiful smelling spices
friends you've had may weeks to
appreciate the beauty of Shabbat you can
talk about Shabbat ad nauseam but until
you do it you're not gonna get it and
there is no greater gift when you're a
single person sure that's good yeah but
when you God willing have a family you
have children it becomes kodesh Kadosh
in the Holy of Holies literally it
becomes the holiest of your workweek
because the rest of week you can't see
your family and your kids but now you're
able to pull it together and spend
precious time together with your family
and my blessing to you my dear friends
as if you don't mind if I you don't make
calling a call to action is that take on
if not all of Shabbat immediately it's
okay start small every week every month
just do a little bit more have the love
is such an easy but beautiful and
precious Mitzvah that'll help you take
those modes of Shabbat and propel them
into the other six days of the week I
know you go from here into breakout
groups is that correct rabbi's rabbis in
here yes yes so an idea what can we
separate ourselves from that can help
bring us more holiness in our lives
one question you can ponder what do we
need to separate ourselves or multiple
in holiness and what air of Our Lives
can we illuminate in order to illuminate
the rest of the week okay what power of
Shabbat allows us to do that friends
it's been a pleasure and honor a joy
I'll just throw my email into the chat
so if you want to be in touch with
questions thoughts comments heckles
to hear from you Thank You Robbie Guzan
and the other rabbis and thank you for
listening
gratulations Mazel Tov take on the
challenge my friend it's the gateway
into Olam haba the place that God
willing we all want to get to very very
soon thank you all thank you so much for
my off that was amazing as always
we really really enjoyed enjoyed that
okay so before we actually break out
into the breakout rooms I would like to
make another new announcement and it is
very very exciting so first of all we
are reminding you that you have the
option of signing up this Shabbat or
next rabat for the 25 hour shabbat
challenge we're asking yourself to ears
we're asking you to push and challenge
yourself to try to keep Shabbat to the
best of your ability and we've also
described earlier how we are planning
God willing when this whole coronavirus
thing blows over a national Colorado
Shabbat on with all of us together
ladies and gentlemen we didn't want to
end with Shabbat table we built
something beautiful together we became a
family a special growth oriented family
and it is our distinct pleasure I'm
speaking on behalf of all the rabbis
here that we are thrilled to announce a
brand new program that is going to begin
next week Thursday same time same link
instead of being called Shabbat table
it's going to be called
Shabbat Abel and the idea is very simple
we've spent weeks and weeks getting
inspired about Shabbat and why it's
important and now we want to learn about
the practical practice of Shabbat what
does it mean what does it mean to keep
Shabbat what am i doing on Shabbat and
why am i doing it specifically what does
it look like how does it practically and
specifically enhance my life so you can
expect a phone call or a text or an
email or all of the above from your
rabbis this coming week because we are
excited and super hyped pun intended
to bring to you Shabbat Abel which we
are also calling Shabbat table 2.0 so
ladies and gentleman that's very very
exciting join us for the breakout rooms
and after the breakout rooms we have
some special songs and Shabbat music in
store for you
and I'm gonna ask our logistics
coordinator to take it away in the
breakout rooms you're gonna be
discussing the question there are by had
Jeff left us with which is what can we
separate ourselves from that will bring
holiness into our lives
