I'm not growing up in a kosher home I never really had the experience of the love and joy that a household could bring when I went to the University of Maryland my brother was two years older than me and he was dating a woman who ultimately became his wife and I got invited to their house for Shabbat dinners and most memorably for Pesach and they were a conservative family kosher home and I'm not growing up in a kosher home I never really had the experience of the love and joy that a household could bring in the way that their family was able to bring that it was something that really stuck with me that I really envied and as a result of that I said when I'm older I'm gonna keep kosher and I'm gonna keep a kosher home and so having not grown up kosher that was a big commitment so when I moved to Chicago after a college after a couple of years of roommates the first thing I did when I moved on my own was I decided to have a kosher kitchen because I knew that if I left it up to finding a wife that would keep kosher or making that as a joint decision it would be much harder and so I decided as a single person you know what I'm gonna make the commitment to keeping a kosher home and that's going to be part of the package that I'm bringing to the relationship when I ultimately find the right spouse and that's exactly how it played out [Music]
