Off-duty Officers of Lakewood PBA Local 71 Winter Coat Drive and Soup Kitchen

super chilly down there super chilly good afternoon Lakewood PVA Local 71 president we're here uh it's Friday December 21st 2012. we're doing our annual uh coat drive and uh soup kitchen this year we added chili as well we collected over 2 000 coats we had some toys children's toys plenty of uh strollers bedding the children stuff like that I'm supposed to start at noon we actually started a little bit earlier around 11 30. just got a couple of people I'd like to thank um head chef Jerry Machida from Uh Wood Lake Country Club made the chicken noodle soup for us um officer Summer come lift made the chili for us this year Kimball Medical Center sent out a couple of uh health coaches Peggy lemerson and uh Kelly the Leon we had some help from a lot of our own guys as well as you can see probably in the video in the pictures it's a good event once again still have a lot left we'll probably be out here another hour or so so got a lot of soup out uh hopefully we can get rid of all the coats whatever we don't have uh whatever we're not able to get rid of we normally donate to local uh churches and stuff like that for them so another good event happy holidays to everybody thank you
