Ocean County Freeholder Joe Vicari asks for County Vote Reelection 2014

i'm frail the director jova gary i'm running for re-election on november 4th my platform has been very very simple and very basic and people know what i stand for over the last uh 33 years stable taxes are very important to all the residents of henchmen county we have a triple a bond rating we're number one in providing services some of the services that are very important to us is that we have the largest road system in the state of new jersey we have the excellent reputation of saying our library system is not only number one in new jersey but respected throughout the united states but just as important it's providing opportunities to our young people ocean county college is now a four-year university we can get a four-year degree uh totally for about 30 thousand dollars we have one of the best vocational schools in the state of new jersey we have an excellent park system and what we're doing right now is trying to expand those opportunities not only to our young people but also to young people to stay in ocean county so you can get an education right now at the county field i'm working to improve route 9 throughout all of ocean county and that should have been done many many years ago it's the same as it was in 1929 but more important than that right now we need a rail line to be extended into ocean county that existed many years ago the airline would come from penn station all the way down to lakewood toms earth to lakehurst that would really revitalize the economy of our ocean county and do something else it would give us a lot more opportunities one of the programs that i've always been in favor of since i've been accounting for elder and former mayor of toms river is by locally all of the residents of ocean county should spend their money within the borders of ocean county to keep businesses knowing making them stronger but to encourage new businesses to locate in ocean county again ocean county is one of the best places to live to work and to retire we also put a focus on many of the growing towns one of the growing areas is the northern part of ocean county lakewood is leading the state of new jersey with growth as far as population growth and we're making sure that we work with the township of lakewood to provide the infrastructure to make sure the growing population gets the opportunities that are afforded not only in new jersey but for all americans america's land of opportunity as your county freeholder i'm going to maintain the county stable taxes to give opportunities and to provide safety to all the residents of ocean county i work daily with our sheriff mike mastromati and our county prosecutor joe coronado to make sure that we can maintain safety not only in our streets and in our homes but also trying to control the drug problem that is a very very serious problem for us in ocean county as a former educator in ocean county for 40 years i realize the importance that young people sometimes make bad choices and we have to be there to give them the guidance to give them the strength to go back on the right track and give them the education later on to get a job and become a productive part of ocean county so again i'm looking for your support this election to come november 4th but more so i want you to be part of what we do in ocean county be part of getting involved with government to become volunteers and also someday perhaps to get involved in running for public office would be board of education uh local council or mayor of your town or even a county elders so again i appreciate the opportunity that you have given me to speak to the people of ocean county and i ask you to vote on november 4th for uh jeopardy carry an aggressive republican ticket
