Life is a struggle, and you're not going
to get away from it. The question is how
you look at it, and you live and you
learn. I was a people pleaser, and I was
yearning and was thirsty for validation,
and I [music] was trying to do anything
in the world to be recognized. You have
a void that you want to fill. It becomes
a terrible, terrible [music] dance. You
have to learn that you get validation
from an inner environment, not from an
outer environment, and that's when you
can free yourself from this. [music] I
always say it sometimes when you come
into a room one of the people, by the
end of the night, the narcissist and the
codependent will meet. There's a certain
[music] energy that they give each
other. They pull towards each other. But
when they find [music] the bait,
the predator, these people happen to be
very sharp, very smart, very articulate,
very aggressive. [music]
They are on top of their game. These
people understand life very well, and
people love that person. They're the
life of the party. There is no magic
wand. The way you look at it is you let
yourself be led.
