A client took a double high dose of psychedelics after the first didn’t "work." What followed was a mental health spiral that landed him in a psych ward for two weeks. 🎙️ “He went completely nuts… he’s seeing visions… and we can’t get him out of it.” 🎙️ “It’s a real drug. Now the person’s stuck.” Psychedelic therapy is becoming more common — but it's not for everyone. And without the right guidance? It can be dangerous. ⚠️ Let this serve as a wake-up call: We need professionals who understand both the promise and the risks of these treatments. 👇 Comment if you’ve seen this side of the psychedelic story. 🔔 Subscribe for more real-life mental health stories and insights.

Well, I know someone I have current a
client on my case load where he did a
psychedelic where he was going to
someone that's doing um shrooms gave
high dosages. It didn't work on him. So,
he just doubled the high dosage. The
person was sent to a psych ward uh for
about 2 weeks to stabilize with
medication. He went completely nuts.
He's seeing lots of visions and we can't
get him out of that. It's not usually
something leaves your system. It's a
real drug and now the person's stuck.
So, after that with medication, he's now
about a year stable. We need therapists
that know or understand these concepts,
but also know the dangers.
