I almost feel like if Save-A-Chaim was started by a woman that just got off from shiva and the husband didn't have life insurance, Klal Yisrael always needs a tragedy or like someone needs something to actually [music] bang some sense into people's heads. A very dear friend of mine lost his brother one, two days into the shiva, a fundraising link went out for the family. The first question I had was where was the life insurance? For a guy like that, it would have been like 50 bucks a month. There was a lack of awareness. So, I jumped right into it. We got thousands and thousands of people life insurance. I was watching Klal Yisrael react to a crisis, to a 10-alarm fire in New York City. Zohran Mamdani was running for New York City mayor. I said, "This guy's going to win because people weren't registered to vote. People weren't involved." I realized the political landscape has changed. He has a a massive following of young people who have all the energy in the world. And on the night that he won his election, I already had decided at that point, I'm starting something to get young people involved in civics in the Jewish community, in politics, and know what's going on. And at that [music] moment, Klal Yisrael was born. >> The youth are our most prized possession. If we don't invest in the youth, that's what we're trying to do, build on the future.
