The Moment I Realized I Still Had My Mind #sobriety #healing

I feel like I'm watching a movie right now. >> You are so crazy. [music] And I'm like, you guys are telling me I'm so great. Like, how bad is it? I wasn't losing drugs. [music] I was getting my life back. It was different. For so long it was taking away the drugs for me, [music] and finally it was giving me sobriety. That was all I needed. And my big shining moment was [music] 2 days later I finally was sobering up, and I wasn't sure if I was going to get my brain back. I was so afraid. I'm a decently intelligent human. I love to talk to people, connect, [music] have clever fun conversations. And I was a zombie. I had no idea what was going on. And I remember [music] I got into the shower with all my clothes on. I got on my knees. I was crying, [music] and I was like, "God, if you give me my brain back, if you make me able to think again, and able to be a regular normal human, I swear I'll never use [music] again. And I give my word." I remember that moment like it was yesterday. God listened, and he provided. Cuz it doesn't make sense. >> [music]
