From Baseball to Rock Bottom: Doc Gooden’s Story of Redemption

I've been in prison in jail in a rehab only place I haven't been was the cemetery and if I don't get it right that's NES the word mental health 25 years ago was like what what are you talking about what does that even means you're making it up like stop it get over it grow up right now it's a real thing the first time in elementary school that I I got kicked out of school was for trading baseball cards I took baseball and we Tred not to but to be honest with you I put baseball before everything course everything consumes your life yeah that was life that come from a home where men don't talk about problems Men Don't Hug have a drink over it pull your boots up tighten up be a man about it I had to put my ego aside my pride aside and say you know what I need to go to a mental institution I actually banned her from coming to my games I told wife come anymore because just too much too much pressure just stay home please I'm proud of the relationships I've made throughout my career but most importantly today I I'm proud of myself
