Someone in my school community asked me how to overcome addiction. And I'll tell you what I answered, which is knowing the how is not as important as knowing the when. Because until you know the answer to when, knowing the how is purely academic. The answer to when do you recover from addiction is when you get to that point and it's different for every individual. This is what I told them where you are in so much pain that you cannot continue doing things as you've done them before. And that moment of hitting rock bottom is really different for every individual. There's no rule that says once you lose these things that's considered rock bottom or once you've uh experience this amount of pain that's rock bottom. It's different for everybody. And until you reach that point nothing else you do is really going to make a dent. Now once you've come to that place then there are some basic things that it seems most people who have been successful all have in common. And I shared over there a few of those things.
