discovering the truth of Hashem and the
holy Torah we're very excited to have
him here with us today to share his
journey and experience so without
further Ado let's get into it
[Music]
all right so brashem today we have our
guest
natanel uh natanel can you tell us a
little bit about yourself you know what
was it like for you growing up uh your
family your history uh life in general
uh you know what's your background your
story thank you very much for inviting
me uh to your to your platform to
discuss this um it's an honor thank you
thank you for coming on for pleasure
mine now growing up um quickly it's a
long story but um I that's what we're
there for
yes uh I was brought up in un family I
was I was first of all I was raised uh
in on an island in
Haiti um and uh my family although
there were Christians I was brought of
Christians as Christians but there were
a specific group of within Christian uh
Christianity called seven
Advent uh they see themselves very
prestigious group if you will within
Christianity um although they were I
thought we were now I know that they
were you know at the
worshippers but uh there was some some
principles some values that at least my
family I when I grew up were certain
things you know we as like certain
principles we live by and these are the
things that even now even are still
carry on because uh we grew up in the in
the church um my father my father all
Coos many others were very involved in
the church and to the point that they
wanted me to to get involved also since
very early on and um so of course L
learn every day or the the difference
between 7even Adventist and other
religions or other uh Christian
religions or group is that they also
claim to keep the Shabbat they they CLA
they they observe a shabat so since I
was born I never uh went to church or on
Satur on Satur on Sundays and things
like that because they they keep this CL
you know that they keep the Shabbat so
forth and so on so so Shabbat was always
always part of my my routine or my life
if you will and also um we didn't not a
lot of the same diet if you will that
the Jews keep to some extent I I will go
as that we did not we didn't pork so
we're trying to go as much as by the
what by the Torah that's what that that
that's that that group that's what it
was about and uh it's pretty much they
wanted to exclude themselves from
Christianity but by the same token they
were still Christians still believe in
Jesus and things like that so far and so
on so these that's pretty much uh um my
religious background of course I was
involved in the church my parents wanted
me to to be like either not necessarily
pastors but really um to get involved in
the church you know reaching different
you know status possible and like high
rank in the church I never wanted to be
a pastor but my family they want they
wanted that I could say I was a decent
young man as I was growing up uh we were
not reach uh would have you know too
much especially in Haiti but wait so so
you went to a public school or was it a
a Christian School technically was a it
was a Christian School okay um it was a
Christian School not just Christian
school or 7day Adventist school because
as a as 7day Adventist they they do not
intermingle with other you know uh
religions other Christian C uh group
within Christianity so I had to go to a
a 7 Day Adventist school so with we saw
and we even within the school they had
you know of course Bible studies and
things like that with did certain
principles and to tell you the truth
even with the other there of course now
I know there's a lot of Wong you know
with I things like that but there were a
lot of good I would say
values and principles that that were
used or that was you know that were that
were thought in the church so in that
particular church if you will that group
within Christianity that even now it's
it's it's it's still valid for life in
general so those values apart from you
know those from my families you know I'm
caring for others helping things like
that but uh there were a few here and
there a few things learned from the from
that group uh even a few skills as well
but um that's pretty much it but I was I
was very involved very involved ESP from
a very very early age because they saw a
lot of talent in me and things like that
and my dad other you know Elders in the
church wanted me to to be part of it so
very early on I was very very engaged
very very involved in the church
I see I see so you were born and raised
in
Haiti and then at what point did you
where do you live now we are I Live Now
in uh in the states the United States we
came I came uh to the state when I was
well teenager but I I already finished
high school in Haiti and then my my
father used to leave here but visit once
in a while but we're still in Haiti and
After High School so we had a Visa and
we came over here to the States now we
living in state I've been living in
state for quite over a decade now bashem
and that's that that's where we are got
it so how did you get in contact or how
did you find or discover the
organization or or the rabbi now how did
that whole thing happen Okay this is uh
that's a long story what I did not
mention earlier is that as I've as I was
growing up in in the church in fact not
too long ago about probably two three or
four years ago actually um my
grandmother which is who's now living
here she used to visit them as we were
leaving I was I was living here she she
used to visit from Hai to here on some a
while and one time she came to visit and
she was living with me then and then she
reminded me of something that happened
when I was I think she told me that I
was 3 years old I was three or four
years old she she mentioned I asked her
a question um and she the question he
said I ask her why
do uh the Bible says there are many uh
sh shabbats s through against they were
discussing probably they were discussing
that that in the in the study I don't
know what you know but why why does he
say that and then she could not she
didn't tell me it she could yeah I guess
every Shabbat so so forth and so on
and then she said I want to mention that
the father cannot die for the for the
child and something something similar
like that I guess they discuss in the in
the in the in the in the uh in the story
in the St so she said and then I say but
Jesus died for us I come is it that
possible she said ask I have no clue I
don't maybe when I ask that but she said
I asked that those two questions and
then she had to explain to me why you
know so for and so on why she explained
to me that she you know and she learned
she told me that after she learned that
I converted to you know to Judaism but
the story is I I've since that point
I've always had doubts I've always had
questions um even in church I talk to
pastors things like that but I never
really got answers I don't they were not
like sufficient I don't think I really
have anything that's convincing to me so
all these questions were in my head I'm
thinking since I was four years old I
didn't even know but as I got older and
I started get more involved involved and
I was reading the text I'm like this
does not add up and sometimes even in
the church people would have discussion
and then you you hear the discussion and
I'm like okay you saying this this
doesn't make sense I'm here listening
and things are not adding up but of
course as member of the church children
you ask question nobody's so you don't
really care your parents are here your
friends are here so of course I'm there
they want me to be there of course want
to me want me to be involved I was
involved in the church still of for
these question on my but I'm not they
are there I know uh I don't have enough
answer for them I know something is
something going on but I don't really
think about about it too much so I just
you know Let it go I have to do what I
have to do I have to go to work I have
to have to go to school I have you know
if I have to do things in church I do it
whatever it is whatever they want me to
do I just do it so I I did not really
make a big deal out of it go up here
that's know that's all everybody say you
know we are we are not the chosen one so
for and so on so you know so there's
nothing there's nowhere else to go I
that's the best I know and what I know
is that what they taught me is that the
the Jews than the Bible because the of
course the the New Testament they have
the the Old Testament they have book
it's called you Old Testament and New
Testament and they say yeah that there
the Jews once you know had a conent had
a contract with Hashem and Hashem at
some point they did everything bad so
Hashem you know rejected them and
therefore they those seven day
Adventists they be they became the new
they had a new covenant with hem hasem
they became the no Chosen One the
there's the where they use the the the
the remaining if you will the the rest
the remaining so they are the the
remaining few that are good so therefore
Hashem chose them you know you know let
the Jews go the Jews are no longer a
relevant so therefore they are the seven
Adventist now they are the the new so
knowing that I'm like there's nowhere
else to go if that's the
case um I don't know so I'm like it is
what it is go to church you know
sometimes for friends and so forth and
so on uh and then that's how about it
then everything hit after I graduated
from high school
um my uh we had a visa to come here my
myself and my brother my father gave us
um but he was leaving here then so we
came here so I went straight to college
and but of course bashem uh I was he
graded me he gave me a gift a very good
gift since very very early on I was very
uh very intelligent at least according
to many people had a very uh a very good
memory if you if you will very very good
memory when I came here to to the state
of to college straight to college it was
so easy to me that kind of I kind of
lose focus in that W in school you know
partying have friends so I was in the
state you know you know so far as F you
know you not I'm looking at me I'm
decent looking guy I'm okay I have I'm
smart people telling I'm smart people
saying oh you intelligent so forth and
so on you get as a as a teenager this
get in your head and you have friends
sometimes you're taking advantage of you
and things like that so you are their
party so I would you know instead of
going to school things were also so easy
that I didn't have to study so
everything I I used I used to I did in
high school pretty much especially math
and things like that except for English
that was you know kind of you know
that's only my weakness because I was
not to the language but everything as I
most especially math or science things
the like those things I pretty much I
know already so so I had no interest in
school because I was I was passing my
grade my classroom with my class with
abs and then yet I was barely studying
because you know I feel like you know I
was I was that much whatever so of
course in more partying with friends and
so forth and so on of course you know
along this uh need us to say there's a
lot of you know things that happen I
need to mention and then around I would
say
2024 um last year of college uh
something hit me
I
I once I went to work and then from work
I was sitting in the office I was
working at office in school uh
elementary school and then uh I had a
headache my head was like
pouty so
I I I I told uh the my principal that
and then my boss and supervisor they
told the principal and then they say you
know I can go home so go home get so I
went home and then um it was hurt it was
hurting so bad that you know I decided
let me just go to the emergency room so
I went to the emergency room so so on
yes and
um and they check they see why he just
maybe to check the scan everything this
it probably wasn't it was maybe stress I
was I'm stressful uh I'm stressed things
like that a lot of stressful things
around me but nothing major they didn't
see anything okay so they me a few
things so I went back to you know to to
work to school the next day of course
after a few few days get my medication
everything everything went away so F
went back back to
normal and finally a few months later
same thing same kind of pin right back
the same spot and then where where was
the spot where was it hurting you that's
somewhere back in my in the back of my
head okay it was so bad to the point
where I Not only was hurting very bad I
could not bear it but it cannot make me
lose my balance I could not I trying to
St I could not I could not even hold
myself so people had to esort me to move
to get to my car and then someone said
you know decided to you know come with
me I'm like okay I about I I'll be fine
so I sat down for a while so I started
feeling better so I didn't want to take
anybody I'm like I'm very private so I
was also I was with my father I was
still living with my father so I sat in
the car for a while then I started
feeling a little better and then I I
drove home back cuz I went got home and
as soon as I got home he got back worse
went to and then I started you know uh
hrie everywhere food could not stay and
andless to say I ended up so short I
ended up to the to the hospital and then
from there on I had
um I stayed there for about on in in and
out about two three years in the
hospital oh so went over three about
three to four uh brain
surgeries and so and so on to the point
where I was leaving in the hospital I
spent like about almost like six month
you know in in the hospital wow and that
was the worst thing that kind of uh at
that time that moment was you know
happened to my you know to me I I would
see that that that could not there could
not be any any worse than that to me as
now would say that that was hell on
Earth for me I was in the bed bed what
what was it that I mean if you don't
want to share I understand
I of course I've been very private about
this but at least for for that purpose I
that I decided you know I have to reveal
this for many reasons I I I I will
definitely uh I'll tell you but after I
spent yeah about two three years right
then after I get to the hospital because
I could not move I could not eat
anything everything I I ate I just you
know regulated everything nothing could
water anything could stand could stay
inside then finally the next day they
had to do a surgery after they did every
kind of scan and they said you know they
saw there was something there's the
fluid there's a fluid and a brain that
goes around there was something that was
blocking it and then they say could not
flow that's what caused the the
unbalance I could not balance my I lost
my balance and I could not hold anything
inside and then so they had to do a
surgery and they did a surgery a first
surgery right here to kind of create uh
like a way for the fluid to flow and
bashem I was right after that you know
it took it was a m not too not too big
of surgery after a day or two so I was
up and about slowly of course but I I
was able I started you know to eat a
little slow slowly but you know and also
I
could stand I could not I was I was not
you know uh I was not feeling dizzy
anymore the thing was the the problem
was not solved nobody knew what was what
at this point nobody know what what he
was and they just say they saw there's
something they seem you know this the K
Reve that this there's something that's
blocking the fluid in the brain so they
need to know what it is and then of
course you everybody's scared I'm I'm
I'm about I'm scared I don't even know
scared I was at that point and nobody
knows but they say they have to have
another surgery
again but
and at this point everybody's calling
everyone fames in Haiti New York
everywhere on the world you know because
and like I said because when I was
brought up everybody everybody loved me
to to a point first because well for
some reason they thought I was smart uh
I was very bright in school and or than
my uncles and Auntie everybody everybody
was so they let people know everybody
was you know like it was a very bad
moment for see like for the whole family
going day to praying here and there and
then I'm praying for my life I'm like
you know God I don't want to die now so
for S of course we can imagine I don't
want to go back this but I not it's uh
this see where I've come from so a
disclosure this is than
for myself but at least for purpose of
of teaching that this is this is the
only reason I decided I've thought about
it many I've thought about it but I'm
like I have to go I have to do this
so finally my family decided okay fine
we'll go with the surgery so they had to
do a BC a BC in the back of the head
where they feel like the the the the
mass was if you will and then so they
did the
biopc
and after they did the
biopc usually after they know they do
some such a s like a surgery of such
they they let you know within like a
week or or two they didn't let you know
what's going
on this time they they spent almost over
over a month almost a month and a half
nobody told me it was over a month no
one tell came no doctors came to tell me
anything and then my every every day my
dad would come ask me have you seen the
doctors have youen the doctors of course
there are doctors on site but the the
surgeons and people who did the
surgery would they I see them so you
were in the hospital for for a month
straight this whole time what that at
that time I'd been in in the hospital
for more than three a few months already
at that time but I was still in the
hospital waiting for them because they
had the room and everything I was
waiting for them after the after the
second surgery I think at that time he
had been almost like almost three months
already wow so when they
came finally one person came came one
doctor because he was a group of doctors
many doctors working together I don't
know if the the case was that big for
them I don't know but there it's a group
of doctor from Jackson Hospital in they
have a group of doctors together so they
one of them came in privately he came
one day after about a month plus almost
or almost a month and then he he said
well he wanted to talk to me and then
you have time of course right and then
uh so he sat with me and he was telling
me that uh of course the result from the
barcy
came but they have there's some kind of
disagreement between the do the doctors
one group was saying that it was some
kind of infection that was was in the
brain but um he say he doesn't believe
that was an an infection and they want
to treat me for that infection but he
says according to you know it's been he
tell me you know give me pedigree you
know how long he's been working so forth
and so on he say he really doesn't
believe that that was an
infection so he's just so he say he's
just telling me so at least I have have
the knowledge if they bring something to
me so at least I've you know just he
just you know technically just came I'm
washing my hands you know this is what I
know I don't believe so I don't I don't
go with them I can tell you what
happened I'm not quite sure that's
something that's even professional if
you would say uh looking at it back uh I
can't tell you what happened but anyway
that's what
happened then about a week later group
of doctors came about four or five of
them and then so they start you know you
know asking me how I was doing so for
and so on same and then telling me that
they they have the result so they have
to sit on it think so forth and so on
and they decided it was uh uh after they
all they all agree at this point that it
was uh some kind of call it lymphoma
it's like a like a tumor in the brain so
they told me of course I was you know
devastated and then they say oh but
there's hope they can you know uh
there's treatments for it and so forth
and so on like that you know at least
they get it on a you know stage in the
early stage or it's not so and then of
course the the nose broke the he was so
and then I was of course when my parents
came I told them and so for and so on so
now we debating okay should we go for
treatment so that they proposing to do
uh uh
chemotherapy and then if chemotherapy
doesn't work then we'll go through your
laser thinking like I forgot if I
remember I'll tell you but anyway so
they like radiation radiation exactly
radiation so they say first they'll
trying chemotherapy if you know things
it doesn't work then they they they
follow through
radiation so in in the process even to
get chemotherapy I had to get to get um
another surgery done so they can you
know do the whole process the whole
treatment but give lless to say that
during the whole time I had I had a lot
lot of time in my hand I was in the
hospital and night I had nothing in know
nothing else to do and finally I I I
remember one day I I asked my father to
bring me add my the
Bible I said please bring me at least
there's nothing to do uh I just can just
read and then he came to me you know
what I had a little question I'm like
maybe I'll find those answers in the in
the Bible so I'm looking of course and
in the New Testament and then I'm
looking for answers because that's
that's pretty much what I know we only
use the the Old Testament like Psalms
and maybe some stories here and there
but technically everything is in the the
what they call New
Testament I'm looking I'm looking and
the more I'm looking the more I'm
finding like mistake I'm laugh things
that don't add up I'm like this is not
adding up the more I'm reading the more
I'm reading and things I'm something's
wrong
here and then I'm like okay that's that
doesn't make sense uh I need to find an
answer I mean these I'm seeing
contradictions I'm see this and there
and then I'm like okay um I got my phone
so I'm like I'm stting you know checking
you know putting questions on YouTube
and getting you know to see what what
you know what I can find what I can find
and finally out of the blue I ended up
on on a
sh on a sh I some kind uh it was a show
from ra
M he was a show about proving that AEM
is is right right God is right and then
talking about different you know things
you know proving that that different
things that we know for sure that Hashem
is right and then Jewish people are you
know all right Hashem G the T to je
people so I'm like then I'm I'm
listening and I'm I'm like okay so the
Jewish people are still alive yeah so at
that point I had no clue that about J J
Judaism that the Jewish Wasing I had no
idea uh because like I told you I
believe that you at least the the that
group they say that the Jewish people
are no longer actually rejected that so
for and so on you so I had no I had no
idea about Jews any of that so I did not
know so I'm look so I'm listening to the
show and I'm learning I'm like oh I'm
like oh really and then I I started to
get a few questions answered from my
questions um you know um I have a few of
them being interest I'm like wow really
and then after that so I started to look
more of you know more and looking for
look more for you know for what what he
had to teach one of you sure him he
mentioned uh
aav that the
cha that was that had that was in the
business world so for and so on and then
he say he did he did he did to sha so
for and so on and now he's teaching and
then so he say you know and then he gave
he he suggested the link to to follow
you know his story and
then then I followed the link and then
to listen to the story and then I ended
up on the story and I'm I'm as I'm
listening to the
story I'm
crying I'm like this is
me no and then
um so then I started to we started my
brother and I we started to listen to
her to to that that rather I realized he
has other lectures so we started to
listen I don't remember which lecture I
I heard first but we started to listen
to to his lecture and
then it was what day uh because at the
old time I'm taking with taking that
he's in New York because when he did
this he was in New York all this you in
the movie so it was in New York all this
thing he was had business in New York
and so forth and so on so I'm like okay
uh we'll listen to him a very good gra
we listen to he has a good teaching we
keep listening listening but the more we
listen the more I listen the more I get
questions answers I'm like okay that's
what that's what I was looking for this
is the whole time this is what I've been
looking for so I kept I kept listening
and I'm like okay at this point or
though at least I can just listen and
right right then and there I started
practicing even from the hospital at
this in at at some point I told my my
father I'm not going to church anymore
and then at some point i' you know leave
the hospital of course I you know uh I
was discharge but of course we would go
every day to go for treatment and things
like that I think it was about after six
months uh about no about four months I
would say because I had to take therapy
before I could try to walk again because
when you look especially after the the
biopsy when I first got off those I
still going I was going to the to the to
the church with his mission on Saturdays
with them uh cuz I was still searching
for my soul of course you know of I'm
learning all these new things but I'm
thinking okay they can be applied to
where where I was so I was still going
to church with them and then I was while
I was in there the thing I I've learned
and I was still like put you know when
sometime they have discussion I would
you know say a few things of those
things that I've learned and so forth
and so on until I realized at some point
that you know okay I need to stop going
to church all together and there's one
from the one of R wen's lecture was
saying you know how you know you have to
stop going to church because church is
you know idolatry and so for and so on
and explaining why I'm and I'm like okay
we need to stop going to church so my
brother and I we just stop going to
church on Shabbat mem there's
a cousin of M for some reason that had
already that was already on that path he
was also Christian gr Christians but uh
he I guess he found you know some truth
we're learning with them every we go to
him and then we study together but one
time I was at home we had home my my
brother and I and were listening to One
of R Ren show so after you know a few a
few weeks so almost a month over a month
now and then as we were listening to the
to the show and my brother say did you
hear that he said listen again now I'm
listening okay I hear a voice speaking
I'm like okay I know this I recognize
this voice and then he was like that's
Rodney and then we had not heard from
him in a while like a few months or
probably over that maybe almost a year
or so so he was asking a question from
so like therefore the rabbi must be must
be in in Florida somewhere find out that
he was in Miami and he know you know
what we have to go to sh we have to go
this pretty much just how you know I I
finally I got to meet uh back
you saw his lecture you heard your
cousin you found out he's actually in
Hollywood um at what point did you like
start to did you get any help from him
as soon as we we heard and then we find
we find out he wasn't M me was I said to
myself we have to we have to go because
i' had been listening to him and I'm
like that's exactly what I was looking
for that's what I felt like that that's
what my soul was looking for as the city
say you know what you're looking to go
to the good Hashem you know make you you
know find find ways for you to go to the
good you want to do bad has by the same
token we we'll match you with whatever
you want to do in the same way you want
you're looking for whatever you're
looking for you looking for Rabbi ashem
will give you the one your SW is looking
for and the minute I started listening
to it sure I know I know there's no that
I that's you know that was that's what
my soul was looking for so we look for
him we look we looked it up we saw where
he was uh he was uh he was he was doing
the sh the shm from that point on uh I
would say it was a blessing there I mean
saying
that receiving help uh to me is not uh
it's not the proper way I would say
because it that just help from that day
on from that moment on uh arrives that
it's not he has not just offered help we
have had all kind of support whether
it's you know you know emotional
support financial support um you know
spiritual support sometime you know we
have we have guidance uh we have you
know things different things we go into
life and then
hasem has been there supporting us in
every kind of way whether to our 30s and
uh it's and to tell you the truth I'm I
feel like I'm indepted you know I don't
know for it's just like like father you
know your father your or your mother you
should never you could tell you could
see your mother help you this is makes
no sense your father could say they have
you it's it's it's no difference because
he I been everything since that day so
that that that's pretty much it I
remember I used to see you guys when you
guys first started coming in the
Aventura so at this
point what what did your family think
about the whole um you
know did you tell them or how did you
how did they feel about it what what
Happ with that whole thing I did tell
them my my father when the whole thing
started before my mother my mother was
still in my I was with my father here
then uh after I start after I decided
that you know I would you know that's
what I that's what I've been looking for
that's what my soul been searching and
I'm like okay um that's it that's it
there's nothing else for me I I told my
dad uh and we started we stopped going
to church and we explain to him that you
know the reason why we I'm going to
church of course he was not too happy
about it uh but he's not the type that
you know he didn't tell us to show us
you know okay he tell us that's okay and
then but I know that kind of hurt him as
a father you know he want out Children
you know to follow what you do so take
it to where at at the beginning but over
time when he realized when he realized
you know what we're doing when he saw I
guess I would say the change or the how
we have changed how we you know how we
became compared to how we we used to be
in the church so you realize you know
what uh I I would rather you do this
than being on the street you know
selling drugs and do it like this so I I
would hear him talk to other people and
by it is you know what at least you know
I know you know they are not doing
something wrong they are you know so and
then he he kind of made made peace with
it and he really never had a want not it
never I mean of course as a father you
feel some kind of way but he realized
that okay we are doing something that
not every other you know uh uh teenager
this you know will decide to do
especially in in in the USA where you
know there's a lot of things going on in
the street so the fact that we decided
to do that instead of those things he
really appreciate that I appreciated
that so he didn't allthough that I know
that hurt him in a way but he he was not
like against it it was not against it so
from that point on so we start we start
going to church and you know we started
keeping toah as much as we could then
when my my mother I I kind of brought my
mother here when she came then uh and
then we told she already know from Haiti
CU my dad you know the word spread
people know and then and then she was
like she was fine with it of course none
of them really you know that's that they
would they would want but it is what it
is so when you started to um follow the
rby what would you say the hardest thing
the hardest
challenge that that you had to overcome
I mean at this point you're going to the
lectures uh you you're discovering the
torah's truth um you know you're getting
help from the rabbi are you converted at
this point or not yet I this point uh I
was in the process of conversion uh I
did not convert yet and uh of
course
um yes now I discover the truth and I'm
I'm more willing I'm more than willing
to to to embrace
it and I'm excited about the new Journey
but by the same token there's
a um of course when you when you leave
your life a certain way for like for
years and you have your entourage you
have friends you have how you know
people different people you know uh
co-workers and so forth and so on and
that some you know grew up with and you
know we always out there you know doing
things and even at that point of course
I'm still you know I'm learning but I'm
still you know some some of them will
still together see have my friends you
from work co-workers and so forth and so
on sometimes you know I still talk to
them we're still talking I don't have I
mean you know it's not as much as it
used to be but we're still in
contact and and the more you're learning
and you feel like it's it's hard I mean
to let go it's that easy you want you
want to you know you want to talk to
your friends want to still do certain
things and you realizing you what H you
can't do that anymore and the more you
trying to hold on to it the more you
realizing no it's not it's yeah it's
it's hard you don't want to let go but
realizing it's not it's not working and
that was one of the hardest thing I had
to do because uh I got to a point I I
have I pretty much had no more
friends the all my friends I had and for
some reason some of them we started
trying to pull them into doing the same
thing some of them you know used to you
know these they follow lectures with me
and at some point they just they just
follow off they I guess that was not for
them we have had to let those go and
that was uh I would say very very hard
along of course there are many other
things but to leave the let the past you
know stay in the past that was uh that
was a very very
challenging
for uh I overcame it so but yeah I could
that was definitely a challenge for me
yeah that that's definitely uh sounds
like the sacrifice that you had to
make everyone's it is totally different
you know and um I can understand I can
understand difficulty and you're you're
you're very young you know just came
from Life
of College college right college going
out friends yeah all that stuff partying
it's a big it's a big test Big Challenge
a lot of gets out there but uh very very
much
so so you're getting guidance from the
rabbi you you converted right barem yes
how long did the whole process take
barem the the the process did not take
too long uh probably I would say less
than a year or approximately a year and
I would say the reason why because the
one the the have was not from here so
whenever we had the meeting was was
spread through spread out because he had
to go out of town but bahashem
especially with r support because he was
always there every time we had to go to
the bed he was there and he was pushing
uh because he know uh what we we had
been learning you know what we what we
know so he was pushing a lot for us so
because of that and he didn't take a he
didn't even take a year was about less
than a year almost a year and the
everything
uh was was complete and then Basham we
converted
wow let's see um what are some of the
goals uh that you have right now and uh
like where do you kind of see yourself
in the future 5 10 20 years from now
there are a few goals I would say uh
I've been trying about K we've been
studying uh my brother and I since we
started when since we converted one of
the one of the long-term goals I would
say is that Hashem of course we don't
know how long we leave only Hashem knows
but if it's part of his will if it's his
will then one of the goals I have is to
complete the sh we've been sing uh
Theon would have been supporting us
every every every step of the way and
that's one of the goals we have I'm sure
that's one of the goals uh he he hasn't
to for us and uh that's that's the first
thing first uh we want to M hasem we
have the Merit I have the marit for this
uh that's one goal I have in my and of
course one of the goals uh now this was
his short term he trying to especially
now that's the the reason I decided to
do this I've had this onv for quite a
while uh I didn't have the courage to do
it uh again I was very private about it
I did not want but I realized
hasem gave me a second chance Hashem
gave me a second chance I was I was
pretty much do if you will because when
you have when you are there you you you
think you're smart or people believe
you're smart people are telling you
you're smart you're intelligent so and
so on and then you have you know all
this and then and then you decide to do
I should give you all this but you
decide to do whatever you want you
decide to go out there and you
know go against him with this with what
he gave you
he gave me out as a memorial brand I use
I use it for other things and that's one
of the major things I've been working on
I think B hasem with with the support of
RAV that's one video I think he had a
movie about that movie uh Tona breach
also that kind of really saved my life
it was until that it was even after the
surgery and everything I realized I
didn't really understand why thing had
you know the the whole whole thing
happened but after that teaching after
you know I listened to Ral so many times
and those teaching about Tona breath and
things like that I realized I know I
figure I then I like that's when the
penny dropped for me I'm like okay now I
know just just happened I realized
exactly what happened and it was Hashem
doing me favor Hashem give me a second
chance to do
cha and bashem um I could not um I don't
know how can I think RAV again at this
than AEM you know that he chose RAV for
this because I realized Hashem was
sending me a message and I couldn't get
the message I didn't get the
message but finally when I I met
RAV and I heard those teachings I got
those teaching I realized wow this is
what happened that's the reason why the
whole thing happened it was like a like
a bless blessing in disguise if you will
it was a blessing then I'm thinking it
was the worst thing but now I'm looking
back because if it was not that if I
didn't get that message then who knows
where my life would be right now so one
of the goals I have because of that I I
was thinking the other day after you you
proposed that to me I'm like you know
what I have to I've thought I've thought
about it for quite a
while I'm like maybe that's the time uh
maybe it's at least
it's time for me to let people know my
story uh so at least people could do cha
and I know I've heard something Rec said
not too long ago I keep hearing once in
a while because I had a show some people
you know talking about of course GMA
breed and things like that and then a
lot of people don't think you know it's
that serious and I'm leaving testimony I
don't want to say the shanora about
myself or my you know sins of you know
for toilet I people can hear and change
your life that's one of the mission I
think I I trying to embar then at this
with RAV because uh that saved my life
is that easy to overcome but at least uh
with uh help from
Hashem uh I've succeeded and uh I can
think uh AEM enough he was uh I don't
know
there's no make it was a it was a a huge
favor because I mean why me could be any
why why me why why why me really but AEM
uh saved my life uh through ra and I
think that's one favor I can rechar uh
and that's why I decided you know I have
to do this video to at least to show to
tell the world that know it's not it's
it's not easy to do sh especially for
things like that GMA breed anything
related to this it's not easy a lot of
things would come your way it's been
hard that's one of the things that that
that was hard for me to
also but uh it's possible if I've done
it anybody else can do it and you and
you can also you can also probably
relate to the rabbi because uh you know
in his movie ASM took back his millions
he also has you know a similar story
about uh you know him going through also
uh many surgeries and and hardships like
that in his life so that's kind of uh
you know exactly kind of similar that's
exactly what kind of kind of Drew Me
drew me and because when I heard you
know the story after I've M mentioned it
I'm like oh he's just like me the thing
that kind of that kind of pull me and
I'm like wow so we went to the same
thing and then that kind of gave me some
kind of uh encouragement you will to go
in live because I'm like you went
through this I can go through this to so
yeah that kind of definitely uh they
some similari is what kind of
advice help guidance would you give
someone that's kind of uh in a similar
situation to yours or someone that's
also kind of uh wanting to do chuva and
change their life what kind of advice
what kind of um you know heads up or
Warnings would you give them what would
you prepare them for maybe
one thing for sure it's not easy it's
not easy it's not an easy task and the
reason it's that it's that easy it
because
there's the reward is so amazing and I'm
not I'm not even talking about the
reward you know all buy and things like
that I'm not even talking about this I'm
talking about right now on on you know
the physical the the physical we have I
would say War because the the the word
reward is misleading but the feeling you
have after you've accomplished this is
second to
n it's hard it's not easy uh especially
in this situation if especially if you
has to do with with a GMA breath it's
that easy because uh especially if your
body's already used to it uh
but and the reason also it's not easy is
because the other side he knows he knows
that if you overcome
this the there is no this don't leave it
and it's going to put everything
possible in your way uh to to discourage
you my advice to you is just keep going
keep going strong you will
fall you just have to get up keep moving
you want the adversary wants you to to
stop you want you to be discouraged you
want you to give up so of course you're
going to fight resistance you're going
to fight all kind of you know uh push
back but keep going keep going because
not forget forget the fact that it's
good for your soul there's plenty of
reward you will find but when you finish
when you realize that okay I've done
this the feeling you feel it's Second To
None I I can't even describe it uh
because I don't know I don't even know
how to put in the words but uh not only
my life has gotten
better um but
um even emotionally or
even it's it's a whole different world I
don't know even how to explain it but
you feel you feel so proud so good about
what you've accomplished and then
there's there's nothing you feel like
there's there's there's no stopping you
so it's yes yes it's going to be hard
yes uh there's going to be all kind of
things your way but don't stop do your
best try every day wake up get do
everything everything you have to do do
the take everything that the Torah
suggest you do you try your best has
give you help and you'll definitely
succeed that that's what that's that's
the best uh the best advice I can give
anybody anyone good it's good advice
good advice definitely I never really
have or that's for ra but unfor that app
to do personally I never really take him
enough I know sometime I say thank you
thank you but um uh there's no word that
can describe uh how much you know he you
know hasem has used him to save my
life so for that I'll be forever
thankful soem bless them and I I would
say that anyone who who's watching this
um although there's a lot of things I
left for but anyone who's watching this
I
understand uh if don't wait um I know
sometimes your life is good you we feel
like okay um
there's we feel like we Invincible I I
felt like that too I feel like that too
I felt like I was on top of the world I
was at some point I I thought I was
famous uh at Le I thought I knew things
I thought I was smart and I would use
whatever Hashem gave me I use it um my
own way to you know to do whatever I I
felt like you know was uh was good to me
and of course I had a second chance a
lot of people have didn't have that
second chance other people you know died
or some get you know crippled little
things so don't don't wait don't
wait uh I didn't know uh some people
don't know but now that you know if you
know don't wait it's not worth it I've
been there I've done
it uh it's not worth it it's not trust
me it's not so I would say anybody
however you are if you're listening just
if you if you were going that same path
if you're doing the same thing
please just give it up do TR that's
that's only thing not only that's you're
going to have reward for the for the
know but you're going to feel
right right here uh you're going to feel
better about yourself your life going to
change your surrounding everything so
that's uh that's the only thing I could
add you know just don't don't wait don't
wait because after all nobody knows
what's coming tomorrow you hear the next
second you don't we don't even know
what's coming the next second so there's
no point of waiting because we don't
know what's coming tomorrow so hopefully
uh if you hear this anybody who hears
this you know take advantage don't wait
you don't have to go to the same thing I
went to I went through he was not I
can't tell you he was not he was not I'm
talking about it right now you know I
want to cry but it is what it is it was
not it was not easy it was not it was
not something good so you don't want
nobody want to go through this it's very
interesting I didn't know you know I've
known you for such a long time I didn't
even know all these things about you you
know you never really know somebody you
know I thought I knew kind of generally
about you I had no idea you're like a
different person
even that's of course even the story in
itself is a very long story proba take I
how long to tell the story but I that's
that's the story a lot Sher thank you
for sharing it with us thank you for
participating it's very clear that the
hand of Hashem was Major whole process
happen it's a big uh it's a big K hasem
pleasure is the pleasure is my like I
said I've been wanting to do this but uh
of course time and also me being very uh
was a little still very conscious about
this and uh it's kind of so it was very
hard for me but um I I would not let
this opportunity go for anything I would
not let this go so I'm like okay I have
to I have to come out of my I have
to open up I'm here I'm still shaking
here right now I'm checking to you but
sh well you took again you you uh you're
a very good example of a person person
that takes sacrifices you put AEM before
you theem it'll help a lot of people
it's a very story anything I can do to
help to help someone even if it's one
person
do I had had a second chance I I I'm
willing to I me to have anyone who would
like to have a second chance that's
that's my I should give me a second
chance why not or you know use somebody
as a chicken second chance at least give
them the path so CH so any time all
right not at all so we'll be in
touch thank
