The concept is pretty simple. the leader of the suka, the suka shhatkin himself, um Doc Ai Weiss is going to be explaining to us what you do if you have an extra suka, extrak, a suka lying around, you're moving homes and it's time to get rid of your old suka. Whatever it is, don't just dispose of it. It can be used for a wonderful and noble purpose, especially this time of year. After all, today's the 5th. That means Sukis is just 10 days away. All the best to you and your uh uh listeners and you have lots of them because whenever we do the suka shot segment on your program we do get lots of positive response people looking and also more important people who have for those who don't know what the suka shot I'll briefly tell you how this works and who we are we've been doing this about 27 years basically if uh you have a suka you no longer need because you bought a new one or now you're going to your children your suk is laying around in your garage or in your basement, call our hotline and uh let's start with that number. The hotline number is 9294477333. 929-4477333. When you call that number, um over the years we've gotten really busy. We get over 600 calls during the sukus season from uh Tishabuff to Sukus Mama Sheriff Sukus. So, we have a sister program. My son-in-law made a design. Nice program. When you call that number, it'll guide you. Press one if you have, press two if you need, and tell you how to leave a voice message or text or send an email. It's very convenient for us. This way, everything's organized. And uh so that's how you call in if you have something that you no longer need or suka uh panels that and uh just give us a basic information what you need but it's very important for me to stress if you called us we have your information doesn't automatically mean that we'll be able to help you with a suka we get over 5600 calls and the last five six years we average about 125 shukim >> wow >> not everybody who calls get something but we're happy to help as many people as we can. So just because you left a message to us also try to help yourself like don't assume please don't call us we waited for you and there's nothing >> so that's really the >> doc what's happening this season I mean it's now like I said 10 days before sukus have you been getting a lot of uh inquiries over the last couple of weeks >> we haven't I actually we start getting calls from pes people clean out the house clear garage I mean so Uh we cannot we don't have a a warehouse to store the stuff at maybe we should but we really start from uh um like I'm sorry from Tishab we have a lot of phone calls and there like I said the ratio are 7 to1 or something six to one people call we have we've already made certain by the way my grandchildren my great grandchildren are mining the phone to m man the computer we it's a family thing we're doing it the wife's family alone 12 I'm in the Shaka family and uh because my son-in-law set up his computer, we don't have to sit around the same table and figure things out. We could do it from Lakewood Munch and Flappish. We could organize. But the bottom line really is we want to help you and we want to know Holly over the years. We had to the opportunity and by the way Nakam people do listen to the show. We do get positive feedback. People looking also people who have so you have a lot of fans and I I I make you part of the Suka Shotka family. So we I I thank you for your help because you do help us and like just review you have something you no longer need. Don't just assume nobody be surprised. People will be happy to take it panelists whatever. So that's really our story and uh you know we've been doing this 27 years and Hashem gave us the the history is another story but that's not for now. Uh we have a lot of wonderful people. We had uh couple years ago somebody call us. He's paying for a suka. We should just find somebody to give it to. >> Oh, and you and you'll and you'll have plenty of people to give it to if someone wants to do that. >> Oh, yeah. But that it's our our responsibility. Who do we give it to? Who who's the lucky one? Each one of them have their own stories, which is not for now. But it's something people who physically care. But by the way, we don't touch money. There's no money involved over here, right? Had a wonderful year in Bora Park a couple years ago. Aby, I want to do something. I said, I don't know. What he wound up doing, he b w up buying a bunch of mats, 6 by8, 4x4, 8x4, whatever. He put them in his garage. Says, "Abby, just tell send them to my garage, tell them take whatever they need, whatever." So, uh, we have people who help in various ways, but there is no money involved. There's no money exchange. It's all Hashem mitzvah. And it's just it's a kind of a thing which um my children grandchildren are my sense my grand no not the great yet but it it's it's a it's wonderful me as a parent and grandparent see my children involved this and the people who call they get the suka they give us all the broccus which is wonderful it's just a win-win situation the person who has a suka no longer wants it is very happy to know somebody's taken they will use it it's just wonderful >> 100% >> we have People from Elizabeth, New Jersey gave a suka to union with the Klesburgger families. A young Israel family gave it to the Kazberger family, the Suka and the lady from Elizabeth wrote us this beautiful letter describing how her Suka family, you know, the suka the walls, everything has a story in itself. They no longer use it, but they're so excited that another family is using it. >> Amazing. Amazing. Avi Weise is founder of the suka shad and as you heard him say his entire family now the extended family are involved in getting as many sukas as possible uh coordinated to go to people who need sukas. Only about 10 15% end up getting because that's how great the need is. But you can imagine what that number is. It's a lot of people hundreds and hundreds over the years. a lot of families that have been benefited from this suka from this matchmaking and here's what we need from you folks. We know there are a lot of people in need and Avi Weiss has the list of those who've been contacting the Suka Shakan over the last few weeks. So the need is great. We need those who have lying around, who have a suka lying around, who have uh who have cleaned out their garage or sold their house or are set to move or want to downsize or just want their own brand new suka. Take your old suka, make it available to the suka, and he'll tell the people who are going to be using it this sukus where to pick it up. they'll take it from you and you'll know that it's being used by a family who really can use it. Um, that's really the whole story. So, as much as we uh um promote the fact that if you need a suka, you should contact the suka. And at this point, we feel even more responsible for those who are able to donate a suka or donate or find or a suka on your property that you no longer need. get it to the suka shaden.
