Thera gamak uh was created for the
members of Salalah by the members of
Salah to assist those who dedicate their
life to helping others in a dignified
and discreet manner. Our good friend
Nafali Solomon has described this
amazing stucker for us many times on the
air. I hope it touches your heart to the
point where you're going to want to
support the was one of the reasons I
want to get wanted to get back here
because uh I had made a commitment
enough to do this a few days ago but he
was very patient. And so here we are,
thank God, able to remind this audience
about how important it is to support the
Anyway, they have a they have an amazing
contest going on. Many of you are
familiar. We do it ourselves. You're
familiar with the fact that only a
certain number of tickets are sold. Uh
you get a random number between $1. You
actually can get an entry for a dollar
up to $1,500. Each number is assigned
only once. They have just over 600
tickets remaining and they have some
amazing prizes. It's called Heroes for
Heroes 2. We'll find out from Nafulli if
there's an easier address to reach uh
the uh the website. Uh meanwhile, of
course, in our story about this
conversation, we'll certainly include
the link so you can easily go to the
site and support this amazing cause.
Naftali Solomon, a pleasure to welcome
you back to JM in the AM.
Do we have Napali?
Oh boy.
All right. Not sure what's wrong with
our
technical setup here.
Are you there?
>> I am here. Do you hear me?
>> Hashem, good morning. Welcome to the
show and thanks for joining us. So,
you've described how important this
gamach has been to so many people, so
many families, so many first responders
and their spouses and children over the
years. I mean, you you're you're trying
to do almost everything because
obviously when you can distribute stuck
and help someone in that way, you're
doing it. If you could find other
creative ways that cost money to help a
family, you're set to do it. And and
what's happened over the years, frankly,
is you've been so successful that you've
needed more and more and more funds to
help more and more and more members,
first responders in our community. Does
that sort of describe the way this has
escalated over the years?
perfectly. Prior to COVID, we our budget
was uh significantly less and we were
able to raise funds internally in the
Hutella family.
>> Since COVID, the the the numbers and the
need have just risen drastically um at
an alarming rate. And because of that,
we had no choice but to go out outwards
elsewhere. And we've had a couple of
regular like GoFundMe accounts but uh uh
campaigns. And then last year we kicked
off the Heroes for Heroes where we had
some crazy crazy unique prizes. Um
Hashem we were successful. We sold out
and we had said it was a number of 1750
tickets.
>> Wow.
>> Which those who have historically know
that's that's the last four digits of
our fellow's number.
>> Correct.
>> This year we're doing we dollar down a
little bit. We have 1600 tickets as you
said. Um you know the razor campaigns
are all over the place. Um you know as
you did it as well there are watches all
over the place. to texts and and and and
Rolexes and in my personal opinion
rookies. Look at go to the sever.org the
FER ceas.org.
Take a look at the prize book. Our top
prizes are 9 and 9 and a half 9 and 12
in Satara, a solid gold KDish cup. Um a
you a choice of either a BMW X3 or a
Honda minivan, not a lease, you own it.
and so on and so forth. We have a a
Kiddish cup that was owned by Rabu
Feinstein. We had a kiddish cup that was
owned by uh Ravitak Abuer from Swas get
that have been given to the winner along
with a bra. Obviously the the need is
great. The the raffle is great. We are
like you said almost a little under 650
tickets left out of 1500. We are way
over our halfway mark. We have about
another 10 days left for the raffle and
every single day um of the last week of
the raffle an additional prize will be
uh given out and one of the things that
is most unique every month of Shabas um
in addition to the regular raffle we are
giving away it's called a naros bakar
it's a ber that was um
started in the 1700s
I think it's rais sharabi who it has all
the rivers of Ghani and engraved on the
inside. We had a Michael beer from
Eric's
famous artist. He made it specific to
us. You cannot purchase this anywhere.
Every month of Shabas, it's going to be
um uh raffled off and just like I said,
check out the prizes. They're fantastic
and it's just unheard of and not
duplicated anywhere else. The address is
the.org.
Theragamach.org.
Only 1500 tickets are being sold. It's
Heroes for Heroes 2 with 60 great
prizes. The deadline just 10 days away.
They have spectacular silver. They have
a Rolex worth 13 grand. They have the
BMW worth 55,000. The Kosha Braha that
Napali mentioned is actually priceless.
34in silver Manora at $35,000. A solid
gold coast at $45,000. A life pack at
$35,000. What's a life pack? That may
not be familiar for those who are after
the watches and the silver. What's that
life pack prize about?
>> So there are two prizes, you know, that
are also out of the ordinary where most
of the prizes are gosh. Okay. There's,
you know, a tech like you said or Rolex,
so many a car. Two specific prizes are
the roughness part. One is the winner of
that prize actually will be sponsored
will be sponsoring for RCCS a a cancer
patient to pay for insurance for an
entire year and their name will be given
to that cancer victim to you must file
for them. That is in a huge huge that's
one. The second one as you just
mentioned this life pack it's a $50,000
life back and whoever wins this prize
gets to give it to the hassawa member of
their choice. And again, every the life
that is saved with this life pack and is
is on them. It is an amazing amazing
also unheard of,000 life
>> and and you have testimonies. It could
be you yourself, but you you had you
actually featured Hutsa members who said
that the life pack actually uh you know
went ahead and saved lives. The life
pack actually I mean we know that when
it was put into action, it actually did
save lives. So you go ahead and donate
that to our member, chances are you're
going to save someone's life down the
road.
Absolutely. It's a paramedic's tool.
It's, you know, when they in the movies
when they say Claire and they shock the
guy, right? That's it.
>> Now, if Tali Solomon's with us, I can't
encourage everybody enough.org.
The prizes are amazing and very, very
valuable as you hear. The cause is
pretty amazing. And everybody out there,
take a spin. By the way, Napolei, I
think this is public information. Why
wouldn't it be? What is the lowest
number that remains? Cuz I don't know if
number one has already been secured or
not. What's the lowest one that remains?
>> So, as I did last year, whoever hit the
highest number, so in this year at
1,500, they automatically got a gold
coin, one ounce gold coin, which now
gold being crazy is about 44 $4,500 that
was taken already by a lower cider.
>> Wow. Very nice.
>> And
Right. And then the whoever hits the
dollar one gets a third of an ounce gold
coin worth about 13 $1,400. And that is
still available. There's about 45
tickets, 40 tickets still remaining
under a hundred bucks.
>> Wow.
>> So, and again, you hit that but you hit
the $1 button, you automatically make
out, you know, you had that game about
1,300 bucks.
>> Unbelievable. All right. Uh listen
folks, one is still available. And you
know when we do our thing with our
friends at Raise It each year and I
think this year it's going to be Log
Bulmer. Uh you know when we do our thing
we emphasize when the single digits are
still available and number one is still
available in this one. The prizes are
extremely valuable and obviously the a
very very worthy cause to support. Read
up more about it. Check out the prize
book and of course take a spin. Uh go to
the.org
theamach.org. The deadline is 10 days
away. Plus, as Naftali mentioned, every
m Shabas every Saturday night,
additional prizes the last 10 days of
the contest, additional prizes. And
everybody, Naftali, correct me if I'm
wrong, everybody is eligible for every
drawing. Correct.
>> Yeah, that's correct. Even if you win on
the month of Shabas, you're still part
of the the final drawing January 25th.
>> Simple as that. Anything else you'd like
to add, sir?
>> I thank you so much always. you we
usually kick it off the campaign with
you but now it's towards then which is
totally fine but always every single
year but when we did a regular GoFundMe
and now raise it your listeners has have
always contributed and contributed
nicely and I thank them for it
>> I appreciate that very much and Nafali
final word people don't realize I mean
in general in our community people don't
realize how many people are hurting and
all the different situations they're in
but among these first responders who are
heroes are getting up in the middle of
the night and leaving their families and
taking time off from work, which they
sometimes simply can't even afford, and
yet they do it to help save lives, to
help transport people who are in need to
get to the hospital, etc., etc., etc.
You you can attest to the fact that
there are hundreds who are in these type
of situations and they need our help.
Well, just like uh fellow members run
the entire gamut of Judaism, doctors,
lawyers, rabban, um insurance brokers,
whatever just like that, they're they
they're part of kuso. Unfortunately, we
have members that are are just not
making it in today's economic uh you
know, disaster. Um they've lost jobs.
They're they're searching for new jobs.
They're just not just not enough money.
So we subsidize there to help them.
They're there to help us. We're here to
help the fellow members who help us.
>> There you go folks. Here's the
opportunity. Theorg now has challenged
this audience. He says we're always
generous and we always respond. Let's
make sure we respond today. Take a spin.
You might get the $1. Whatever you get,
you're a winner. It's as simple as that.
Plus, you have a chance to win some
extremely extremely valuable prizes. The
gammach.org.
Solomon, best of luck with all of this
and our best regards to everybody at the
>> Amen. Thank you.
>> More coming up. It's JM in the AM.
