JM in the AM. Good morning all. Thanks
for joining us. You know what we're in
the midst of? We're in the midst of our
Nissan campaign. That's what we're all
about this time of year, reminding
people to do good things for others.
It's a message for all year round, but
especially as we get closer and closer
to the big holiday of Pesak. And I think
every single year when we've introduced
our Nissan campaign, we've made brisav
part of it because Rabbi Kenki and his
family and his staff make sure that
anybody who's in need before Pesak has
what they need. That includes thousands
of pounds of matzah that he's
distributing and of course grape juice
and other items. And of course if there
poor families out there that are in
need, they take care of them. And we
encourage people to support Brisav. You
could sponsor Sturim. You could sponsor
one of the two saters.
You could sponsor distribution of
matzah. You could sponsor their pesak
activities. You could sponsor Moim money
for the poor for the upcoming holiday.
Just get in touch with her by
Kenowelski. It's brisalraham.org. It's
all O's. A V R O H O M brisraham.org or

Rabbi Morai Kenowelski is the founder of
Bruce. Rabbi Kenski, welcome back to JM
in the AM.
>> H good morning.
>> How are you?
>> It's a pleasure to be again here today.
Bor Hashem and the most important just
one small comment. He says when is we
doing hassid for somebody else we're
doing hasset to ourselves. When you help
another Jew you're helping yourself
because the true thing we are brothers
and we help for the other brother we
help to our father our father in heaven
sees that we brothers helping one
another. The the greatest joy to our
father in says as we say three times a
day
god almighty give us a blessings because
colono we all are the Jew in the galan
heights the Jew ina
the Jew in Tel Aviv the Jew in Bombay
and the Jew in Russia in Ukraina And in
America, we all are brothers of one
father. And our love has to be one for
another. To give away everything to help
one more Jew to have a mat
is the greatest joy with the national
has
>> we have most sorry. What?
>> No, I was going to say we have a
chairman as you know. We have uh an
amazing chairman of our um foundation
whose name is Ralph Rosenbound.
And uh he uh aside from being so
generous, the Rosenbound family
themselves,
one of the backbones of JM and the AM,
he always says to me, he says, "Don't
thank me because the more I give, the
more I get." And this is his message.
She says to everybody all the time,
"Every time you give, you don't realize
that you're receiving so much more." And
this is what you're saying. You're
saying that the when you're doing for
someone else, you're really doing it for
yourself
>> as for ourselves, as for our children,
as for our grandchildren. When our
children see that we write the check,
that we are doing that. And it's
important that we as parents a part of
our to our children the children should
see that the father sits down in the
evening with the mother and takes all
the envelope that came in or it goes on
the computer and says this let's say
money this this family needs shoes for
here will buy a dress for somebody he
will send he will send wine and the
children here the parents Parents are
distributing docker. Then the children
are growing up with that concept to give
to give to give. And as more than you
give, you will never have to get from
anybody because at the hand of us we
coming to the we say
must be our
when you open up your hand has a place
to put in. But when our hand is closed,
the wants to give in, but the hand is
closed. When we opening up, the gives
us,
>> you know, it's funny you say this
because I have a friend, a regular
balabos.
And I said to him, you know, you're so
generous. You're so generous. Like
people could depend on you for uh what
they need, especially now before Peso.
Like you go out of your way to find
people that are in need to give to them.
I said, 'You know, how did you become
like this? And he said, 'Well, my father
who uh who has passed on, I watched him
do this all the time. I watched him give
the rabbon money before Pesak. I watched
the poor people money before Pesak. I
watched the people in need money before
Pesak and I just I guess I guess it
rubbed off as we say here.
>> I will tell tell you one word. You
remember Milton Graa? Oh, do I remember
Milton Gerella?
>> When I met him the first time 40 years
ago,
>> in tears, he showed me something. He
showed me I don't know if anybody on the
radio remembers stills, the JNF blue
box.
>> Yep. Sure.
>> Metal box.
>> Sure.
>> He took out this pishka. That was his
words. He says his father used to give
him an allowance and nickel a day. But
his father never gave him a nickel.
always five pennies. And he asked once
the father, why you giving me five
pennies, not a whole nickel? He
explained, I'm giving you five pennies.
The first penny put in the pishka and
the other four pennies is for you.
>> Mamesh. Wow.
>> And he says because of that, I am giving
vaka. And he showed the picture of the
JNF and he said, "This is what made me
>> to give today millions
>> because my father taught me to give a
penny
>> from the nickel that I got."
>> Our conversations are Canelski is always
amazing, but the prep conversations are
beyond amazing. Just incredible. Those
of you who want to help out, Brisav
908-2890770
bris.org
Very easy these days. You can literally
just as you're sitting here and
listening, go to your computer or go to
your phone and put in Bris Araham. A
vo.org.
Uh Rabbi Kenowelski, why don't you tell
us about some of the activities? Let's
start with the sturum. Let's uh before
we get to the sturum, let's start with
the prep distribution because you're
going to make sure that hundreds if not
thousands of people have what they need
for the holiday, right?
>> Thousands. And I explain to you what
made me a big change. We used to give
out a,000 pounds of matzah. For the past
3 years, we're giving out5,000
of mata.
5,000.
And hopefully next year we'll go to
6,000. And I and if carb are still in
go. I tell you what, I saw a story and
the story was really uh changed my
entire look. The story I saw three years
ago in one of these stories about the
Reb's reflection with people shared
stories. There was a person who came
into the Reb in the early 50s when the
Reb just became Reb. And he says, "Reb
in Edish." He says it was probably was
from Europe.
I have a lot of money and I want to give
or something that you recommend to do
something a big thing.
tells the Reb to him, "You have a lot of
money?" He says, "Yes." He says, "I
recommend that you should make sure that
every single Jew in the world should
have
guilt I'm talking a lot of money tells
the rabbit to him I'm talking Eden a lot
of Eden [laughter]
then the person continue to bargain and
says I'm looking something to build a
yeshiva to build a sh to build something
does the to him the zohar says that the
mat the first night is being called
as bread as food that gives you a money
in God. The second night is
gives you health. When you have a moon
in God and you have health, you will go
to learn.
If you don't have a money in God and you
don't have health, you will not go to no
building that will be built. Now before
we building a building, we need people
to go there and to your son giving money
for masses that every single Jew
no matter who he is is a Jew, he should
have a Kaz
for the P of and that will bring him and
>> so that so Rabbi So Rabbi Kowski decided
to take to take this kabola upon
himself.
in a miniature way. I'm not talking here
14 million or 15 million Jews, but 5,000
Jews. And I I recommend to many any
listener that if you know anybody in
your office or in any association that
you have personally, please go and give
that person
three matches for the pace of feder.
You will be the greatest friend of his
be done that you will give him that
matzah without any asking for that. Just
give him the three mas and give him a
pes and tell him this is for you a gift
from God that God sends you that gift
that you should celebrate the birthday
of Israel. The kodes writes that is the
birthday of Israel.
This is when we became a nation for
space. This is our birthday.
>> What is better to celebrate birthday
with three masses?
>> Rabbi Kelsowski, isn't it amaz And
excuse the way I'm saying this, but I'm
trying to make a point. Isn't it amazing
how a tasteless crackerlike item has
such power, has such
has such overwhelming effect on Jews
around the world. Isn't it amazing?
>> But look what says
I remember your
that you went after me in the desert
way. There was nothing there. What we
did? We t the masses on ourselves. We
took the masses and we ran.
We they had not chance to become baked
even but we took them and we ran. We ran
after God because we had the amun who of
the we were we were stay from it triumph
and in merit of the today we will be
redeemed from our go. We are now in the
war before Pes. The war is the coming of
Msiah every single second. You go to a
Jew, you bring him the moon and tell him
this is God miracles. You don't have to
buy glasses to see how God is saving our
Jews in Israel with all the what going
on around the world. Look what's going
on. I speak to my father, to my mother,
to my brothers, to my sisters, to my
nephews, everybody who lives in Aratis
Royal and he's saying every single day
is saying how thank you to the for the
mission that he did for us that he does
for us.
>> Yeah. Unbelievable.
Uh how many locations is Brisav taking
care of this year for the Pesak Seder?
>> We are this year going to do the
following. In America, we're sending out
5,000 boxes of matzah. We having seders
in Saleon. We're having a seder in
Brooklyn. We having a seder in the
Bronx. We having a seder in a Jersey
city. We having places to give to make a
sader for the for the people that will
be able to come to celebrate it.
people that are borrow Hashem in America
for many many years and in trying to
make a sad at home. We have a bilingual
brush and bilingual hagod. We have a
hagod Hebrew Russian aagod Hebrew
English. We have brochures with English
with a peser guide brochure in Russian
and a peser guide.
And every single family gets a box of
matzah with a brochure to the step by
step how to make the pesto.
>> Unbelievable.
>> That's just here in America.
>> Unbelievable. in Israel.
>> Yeah,
>> we bor Hashem gave 600 boxes of matzah
to the battalion of Kronh.
There is there a lot of soldiers that
are guarding and we we sponsored Bavon
sponsored 600 boxes of Ma for them.
On top of this, we give masses to
children and families that we rescued
from Ukraina
three years ago. It's already four years
ago. As soon the war started, we saved
150 children and their families. They
all live in Ashkawan. And Rabbi Wilh is
giving out and making a seder for them
and posted that he gives out 500 boxes
of matzah plus clothing for these
children.
On top of this in Gavn another place in
Israel a lot of seniors will get boxes
of matzah.
On top of this in Ukraine will be a
place of fail in Jtomer. There is 90
elderly people who cannot go no place.
Rab will son will be in and his
son-in-law and will give out will make a
peser both nights and giving out all
food. He sent me pictures of the food
that he bought. I have no idea how he
got the food, but it's just unbelievable
how they giving out and they going from
family to family under bombs and
delivering them to their house eggs and
vegetables and fruits and masses and
grape juice and everything. Then we have
also our saders in Zaparo
Ukraina.
There is Rabbi Erant right there that
for the past four years from the
beginning of the war brie is sponsoring
their different events. This space
project is something unique and special
at mama's saving the ses for food was
here in our own communities people that
need more than matters. Many people need
just the children should be dressed
normal in sho and feel that they are
part of the community of helps in that
in every single way. It's interesting
that uh yeah I'm sorry
>> when you are doing that you are making
happy
says when you making happy mine and this
is his children
says
I will make happy yours. It is amazing
that um you had dedicated so much time,
resources and efforts and continue to do
so obviously in Hillside, New Jersey and
Jersey City. We're talking about decades
ago that you started in those
communities and now of rum is taking
responsibility for worldwide communities
in in in places that most of us either
haven't been to or never heard of,
frankly.
So
>> look, I remember in 1979,
sorry, 78, I made my first pace of sedar
in Robert Towers. I'm sure you know
where Robert Towers is. That's a
a place in East Orange, New Jersey.
Please don't go there today.
>> What was the name of it?
>> Robert's Towers.
>> Oh, I know where that is. Sure.
>> Okay. in East Orange 60 East Main
Street,
>> right?
>> We had there a seder and the Russian
people, the Jewish from the Russia came
there. The Jewish Federation settled
them there until they got apartments,
>> right?
>> Then we had the seder there and the
people say you're on the sed perfect 80%
in Edish, 20% in Russian because I did
not know so good Russian and I spoke in
Edish.
And then we used to make the sailor and
that you definitely remember
>> caret hall
>> in across of the bus station. Sure.
>> We had that pace of saders for 300
people
>> and then a n avenue
>> we in in the synagogue there I don't
remember even the name and on temple
avenue nearington
>> near rabbi sky.
>> Correct. We used to have there a pace of
slowly and slowly here in our own
community.
Now we have a you have to count in the
see harvest Kelski my dear wife prepares
a program for children 70 Kinder are all
having model seders and all having their
own hag that when they will come home
they will have a multicolor hag that the
children will enjoy it of my demo spo
things that they did they should be able
to be enjoyed that
I would like to say
to the entire
first of all to my dear wife for
whatever she does not just with the but
what she does every single day as a
partner to me in every single step and
and Rab Boro in Jersey City Rabbit Rabi
he is running in the airport and make
giving out masses to people there just
unbelievable to Rabbi Mendelman in Fuon
Rabbi Yosi Mson in Malbero all over
everybody does one thing making sure
that one more Jew will have a piece of
>> um 9082890770
the efforts of bris are amazing and
we're proud for all these years almost
half a century of supporting their great
work part of our Nissan campaign
give a donation give a sponsorship
at brisav.com or bris a vr.org.
It wouldn't be uh almost Nissan
if we didn't ask her by
>> if we didn't ask her about
>> I got a letter.
>> Yeah.
>> From from a person in California a year
ago
after Pacer and this person was living
in Elizabeth
and we made him a brief and he moved
till now he lives in California. I don't
even the the town but he was on the
list. Then I sent him a box of he writes
to me back. I live in a place that there
is no Jews around
but the only connection were 100ish
kites that you made me a brief and you
continue to send me the Russian calendar
that gives me knowledge about every
single holiday. But the matter that you
sent me was a message of God that God
did not forgot about me even in a place
that I live that there is no Jew
surrounding me sincerely and he signed
his name.
>> Pretty amazing. Pretty amazing.
Um
Genowelski comes from a place where
Pesak was very different right in Moscow
is a very different than than here in
New Jersey. very very different.
>> Um, [laughter]
your colomoid was different. The
availability of kosher food was
different. You know, Raelski, I always
wonder what you think when you walk into
one of these places on a Sunday before
Pesak
and see thousands of people shopping,
seeing a parking lot without a space
because there's so many people shopping
and every single product in the store is
Kosha Pesak. That must be unbelievable
coming from your humble beginnings in
Moscow, Russia.
>> You know, every single year when I share
that and I remember that I really live
in that. But boy Hashem, I had the
privilege two months ago to be in soul
with my parents and God should send a
refu to my father and my mother and they
all be healthy. Especially now my mother
is on the on a bed and she cannot go to
any place when there is silence.
>> When I speak to my mom I say mama what
do you do when there is a silence? She
says I speak to the most powerful person
in the world. I said to who? David.
>> Wow.
>> Me my husband me and my my mother my
father say he says
they say we speak to David. He's
protecting us. We have no doubt that
power say I cannot run on t
get off the bed. It will be already not
a minute and a half. It will take an
hour and a half.
But again, I'm coming I'm coming into my
parents' bedroom and the number one
where I look is on the closet on the
left and I remembered as a child that
the mattress was there covered because
the Russian government made sure we
should get the masses for pes of sheni.
We never got the masses for for pes we
always got the ms after pes
>> and you and you would literally save
them for the next year.
My parents, not me. My parents,
>> they deserve all the credit. They used
to take this mis cover it in a white
blanket and that was there in their
bedroom and by the top of the of of of
the closet close to the to the ceiling
when we I read we had we were reading
this shabas.
You should guard the mus. I look at my I
I remember my parents used to guard the
mats 12 months
>> 11 months they used to guard the mats
the day you're coming to somebody and I
I came to somebody this week to bring
him mus and he with a joke says rabbi
it's stale matz p is in three weeks I
said this is stale matz
this is mass
>> you want to hear about stale matzas you
can tell them about st
>> I tell you what stale mas is all about
[laughter]
>> all All right, everybody out there. I
could speak to my Kelsowski all day.
Everybody out there, uh, Pesak's coming.
Roesh is Wednesday night. Pesak's on the
way. The Seder is going to be two weeks
from Wednesday night. Help Brrisum.
Spread the word. Give out thousands of
pounds of matzas. Make the star all
around the world at all their locations.

add here one more thing. We had the the
wedding of Amis Royal is we had the
first wedding was Babatan Taylor,
>> right?
>> But the ultimate will be with the coming
of Mashiach.
