JM in the AM.
We've got a Nissan Hesed campaign. It's
not Nissan yet. We'll bench Rosh Chodesh
on Shabbos,
but our Nissan Hesed campaign's got to
start early. You know that.
It's got to start early because we need
people out there to make sure they know
where to give and who to support as we
approach the big holiday of Pesach.
We have
stressed
many, many times.
And that was eighth day, by the way,
with invisible diamonds. We have this
brand new We have stressed many, many
times
that even though we have to prioritize
local causes, Yerushalayim causes are
local causes for all of us around the
world.
And Liora Tedgi has been on the front
lines for years and years to make sure
that every single week, every single
Shabbat, every single Thursday,
uh families in the hundreds of families
in need have what they need and receive
what they need.
I'm talking about everything for
Shabbos.
Before Pesach, you can imagine how
difficult this job is to make sure that
hundreds of families have what they need
for the upcoming holiday. They need our
support. We're going to give out the
website. I hope everybody gives
something
today to Or Mayor Bracha in
Yerushalayim. Liora Tedgi, shalom,
shalom. Welcome back to JM in the AM.
Shalom, shalom, Nachum. Shalom, shalom,
everyone. How are you?
>> Baruch Hashem. Can we start with some
numbers? You always get us with the
numbers. How many chickens? How many
pounds of matzah? How many bottles of
wine? What do you need to order in order
to make sure everybody has what they
need for Pesach?
We We need
Hashem grape juice. Each one of the
family going to get
one box of
15 15 bottles for four kosot. All the
families it's large family, a lot of
widows, a lot of children, a lot of
widows. And
we need to give them
also
oil.
We want to give them each one of the
family Hashem 12
12 bottles of oil. Right.
>> We want also to
also
we want to
to give them
a matzah. How many kilos of matzah are
you ordering? How many kilos of matzah?
Because there are people listening right
now who want to know if they give a
certain amount, how much is that
covering for the matzos, for the grape
juice? How many kilos of matzah are you
ordering for Pesach?
I tell you what, Menachem, it's a depend
of the Well, around
approx kimat kimat how many? How many
last year? Give us a an idea of how many
kilos.
Each one of the family like 5 kilo.
Right. So make the
if 750
families.
>> Wow. Wow. Wow.
750 families, every one of them, folks,
gets 5 kilos of matzah.
So if if my math is correct, it's almost
5,000. It's almost 5,000 kilos of
matzah. And that's one example. As you
saw and as you heard from Liora Tedgi,
a case of oil to cook with,
a case of grape juice. I mean, the the
And and you By the way, you're still
giving chickens and and vegetables,
right? You're still doing doing all
right, all of that.
>> of the family 10 chicken.
Wow.
Liora Tedgi has been doing this for
years. How did today go? How did today's
distribution go on a Thursday in
Yerushalayim?
Very, very, very hard because they close
and they not let us to do anything now.
I suppose they also to come to America
to family has wedding next week. I want
to bless Shoshana Blima but Bracha for
mazel tov for her wedding, but we can we
can sell because we cannot fly.
We cannot fly to the wedding. And it's
very, very hard for me. Very hard.
Unfortunately, you're going to be
missing our wedding as well because you
can't fly in.
Right. And now it's three times this
year that I
the canceled the flight to come to
America.
So the situation and I not want to cry,
but
the situation very, very, very hard.
Even this morning was like
a lot of pieces around and the bombing
and the a lot of a lot of family they
came to me, they begged my much begging
to help them in the middle of the night.
A lot of people they run to the bomb
shelter.
Not safe. A lot of people fell down when
they run to the bomb shelter, broke the
neck, broke the legs, broke hands.
I not talk about emotionally.
And everything it's very, very hard and
expensive.
This morning I went to the grocery.
Every box for matzah matzah usually 8
shekel, today 20 shekel. I give you like
example.
Unbelievable.
What we call matzah meal.
That's what Liora is referring to. It's
usually 8 shekel, today 20 shekel.
Um what is that? Like 150%
more? Something like that? Liora Tedgi
is with us live on the phone from
Israel.
And yes, it's not only that people are
in need,
but we know what our brothers and
sisters in Israel are going through,
especially those of us who are in touch
with people
who are running back and forth to these
shelters now for 12 days and God knows
how long this is going to go on for.
Liora is collecting money to make sure
that these 750 families have what they
need for the holiday of Pesach. We have
an obligation, as I said, when it comes
to Yerushalayim to support.
And obviously, as we know halachically,
there's an obligation to support kimcha
d'pischa, ma'os chitim.
Um
there's an obligation to support
families who need matzah, wine, etc. for
Pesach. Liora, is this is is this a new
website, the ombisrael.org?
Is that the website we want people to go
to now? Yes. Yes, omb.org.il.
All right. Well, yeah, but it also goes
it's also without the dot il, which is
easier for our listeners on this side of
the world. ombisrael.org.
Or Mayor Bracha has a website now with a
big donate button at the top of the
page.
And we strongly suggest, and this is
going right into our into our Nissan
Hesed campaign.
We strongly suggest that all of us give
something.
Go to ombisrael.org.
That's Or Mayor Bracha. ombisrael.org.
At the very top right of the page,
you'll see a big donate button. Just
give as much as you can and help those
750 families
that are in need and are being helped by
Or Mayor Bracha for the upcoming holiday
of Pesach under these very, very
difficult circumstances. Difficult
circumstances because of the war,
difficult circumstances because of the
prices,
difficult circumstances because of
access.
Whatever we can do, we need to do. We're
really stepping up our our Nissan Hesed
campaign and I hope everybody out there
takes advantage of the opportunity
to give and help Liora do her work in
the next 2 weeks. ombisrael.org.

They're in Israel, they're in America,
