that are helping us watching our sh
supporting them in every way they
possibly can all of the wonderful
noahides that are supporting and
watching the sh and learning and
progressing and getting better and
simply doing the best they possibly can
to get closer
to uh this
week's it's a uh most common that people
talk about the famous SE the famous uh
story it's being told inside the par
where theim the
leaders of
Amel are sent to scout the land and of
course they miss interpret the message
from Hashem where they see Giants in the
land where uh there these Giants are the
descendants of the Nephilim and the
anakim the bigger Giants that came
before them
uh but yet they're still so big that uh
they they say that we look like
grasshoppers uh next to them uh so we
see here that uh uh perhaps maybe
science hasn't uh uh gotten to this
point of realizing they used to be not
just big animals but also very big
people uh that lived in the past but
nonetheless these big people were uh
attending the uh funeral of the sadik of
the land which was the job the prophet
job and um Hashem specifically did it
that way so they don't know and don't
pay
attention to the uh the leaders of am
that came to scout the land now uh at
one point one of the
anakim uh actually sees the mid Raba
says the one of the anim sees the uh uh
the people and screams at them and
uh from the scream they uh lost
Consciousness and then the midash says
that over there they used mouth to mouth
to uh regain Consciousness and uh here
showing us that the whole issue of CPR
and mouth to mouth and all of these
different things that we have and have
become very popular today are already
known from over 3,000 years
ago but these uh these 12 leaders come
to you know to mosenu and to the rest of
the people instead of talking to mosenu
privately and telling them about their
concerns telling them about their
worries about how these Giants are there
they in essence try to make a name for
themselves by uh bad mouthing the land
badmouthing mosenu bad mouthing Hashem
saying that even hasem cannot take down
these
Giants and of course Hashem punishes
them and all of the people that follow
their advice uh
severely uh where uh none of the people
that lived in that generation with the
exception of
K bet Yeshua and a few others Yeshua Ben
uh a um and and a few others sikim are
not allowed to enter the land not
allowed to enter the land of of Israel
they have to die in a desert and uh
every year there's on you know on a uh
there everybody has to dig a uh a burial
uh uh setting for themselves sleep
inside the uh this uh uh this hole and
uh you know in essence save the people
uh the time if they are the ones that
are chosen to die that year uh with
ception of the uh for 40 years this goes
on uh and uh with the exception of the
40 the generation that lived to the 40th
year uh the Hashem had mercy on them and
allowed them to enter the land so we see
that there was a decent amount of people
that did enter the land but the vast
majority were not allowed to enter the
land and this is one of the main
teachings where you'll hear often of how
this follows the uh last week's par
where the prophetes makes a mistake and
says about andem punishes her and then
right here the uh the spies
say about the land about hasem about
mosenu and Hashem punishes them severely
despies uh 10 of them uh die a awful
horrendous
death uh where their tongue gets uh uh
uh connected to their umbilical cord and
they die a very slow and horrific death
a very atrocious punishments of all of
those people that uh believe in the uh
uh the the guy that doesn't care about
anything uh you should read the
commentary of what what happened during
this
par but a lot of people uh perhaps uh
don't hear the other part the other
major story that happened during this
par which is the
the uh the section at the end where
right before we learn about the
of the the very section uh that we read
in our every
day
this where every Jew that wears
AIT uh you know will Merit to have 2800
righteous Noah hides as their students
and servants when the mhia comes uh and
to operate his his his life and the the
in essence the uh the world around him
in in exchange for him teaching them
T so this mitvah is a very big deal
non-jews are not allowed to wear uh
because it create confusion it's not
their Mitzvah uh similar to shabbat
non-jews are not allowed to keep Shabbat
even though for whatever reason or
another uh some people think that uh
just because they like the they could
keep Shabbat this is
incorrect but nonetheless before all of
this before we the mitvah of There's A
short segment that talks about the uh
the tree gatherer and thear says his
name
wasad he had uh three daughters who were
very smart women that uh ended up uh
coming to mosenu later on in the Torah
and getting The
Inheritance uh you know of of the land
that their father was supposed to get
since there was no boys in the family
but what happened toad it says
that was a say was a righteous person
was a righteous person he was not a
wicked person like the blasphemer but
nonetheless it says that in chapter 15
verse number 12 that uh verse number 32
the children of Israel were in the
wilderness and they found a man
Gathering wood on the
Shabbat those who found them Gathering
wood brought him to mosenu and
Aon and to the entire assembly they
placed him in custody meaning they
arrested him put him in jail uh for it
had not been clarified what would be
done with
him Hashem said to Moshe the men shall
be put to death
the entire assembly shall Pelt him with
stones outside of the camp the entire
assembly removed him to the outside of
the camp they pelted them with stones
and he died as hem had commanded Moshe
that's it that's the whole section where
you see the first official death penalty
for Shabbat for the desecration of
Shabbat and uh you see actually AEM Act
uh pretty quickly not really
giving much of a benefit of the doubt
not giving him any type of uh room for
error any opportunity to do chuva rather
he's caught Gathering trees only a week
after we received the Torah at Mount sa
meaning that Hashem expected all of am
Isel to comply with the entire t
right away he didn't uh give them a uh
oh listen why don't you guys study the
tah for 3,300 years and then you know
maybe you'll keep it then right away you
just got the toah a week ago I expect
you to keep all of
it and anyone who did not got punished
severely based on the torah's uh
punishment andad violated Shabbat and
got a death
penalty here we
see that
AEM is not kidding when he says
that it's a death penalty he wasn't
joking but there's obviously quite a bit
of a difference where today you see many
people unfortunately driving on Shabbat
even to their
synagogues and uh doing all types of
desecration of Shabbat and they don't
die the guy turns on the car and he
doesn't explode but yet you know there
is a the Torah doesn't change one of our
13 principles of change is that same
Torah we got at Mount sa is what we have
today and it will never change so how
could that be well thear specifically
says that since we do not
have anymore M was the first official uh
Judicial Court of the
sanedrin since we don't have the
sanedrin that can Institute the law of
death penalties and otherwise Hashem
took it on himself Hashem took it on
himself to in you know deliver the
punishment on his own timing so if you
see somebody falling out of a building a
plane crash car crash uh anything like
that you know this is a stoning death
penalty you see somebody burning you see
that this is a fire death penalty and so
on and so forth someone drowning this is
a choking a uh death penalty all
different all four different types of
death penalties that are instituted in
the tah are still AB appable and
utilized in the world today just
differently and they're utilized by
hasem we ourselves are not allowed to
kill anyone uh unless that person comes
to kill us but the question is is there
any other time that hasem
punished right away as he did here in
this Paras multiple times first you see
despise coming and lying lying
about is lying about lying about mosu
and hasem punishes them severely then he
punishes the rest of the people severely
not only not allowing any of them and
swearing on his name that he won't allow
them into the land but
also uh when they try to uh uh do Chua
in a unwelcomed way in a way that they
decided is the right way to do chuva
where they decided they're going to go
into the land
anyway they wanted to accept it they
didn't want to check they didn't want to
doubt AEM anymore even though they
already that that ship has already
sailed hasem sent theim and theim to
beat them up so you see here that uh
they got multiple punishments right away
is this again the only times that hasm
punished right away no there are other
times that Hashem punished right away
and there are other times even today
that hasem punishes right away different
things one of the things I remember
reading in AAL when we were learning the
subject of and G and so on is that one
of the things that hm does punishes
right away is for the issues
of uh there's always some type of major
damage that happens to a person as soon
as they're uh they waste seed or they're
immoral typically it has to do with loss
of money or or or career opportunities
or Z or or other things but n less uh
there are much obviously harsher
punishments waiting for such a person if
they don't do
chuba but where are there other times
that did the same thing let's see the in
a talks about the story
of wasik that realized that her father
par was a liar was uh a dictator
that was killing Jewish people on a
regular basis and also telling his own
people that he is God and butya his
daughter realized that he is a liar he's
a
uh Faker he told people that he doesn't
go to the bathroom that's why there's no
uh uh uh place to go to the bathroom
inside his Palace but he instituted law
to uh that no one is allowed to go out
at night because that would be the time
that he would go
into the Nile River and relieve himself
and that's also why hasem to create
further embarrassment and mocking of par
and idolatry he would specifically send
mhu to go meet par while he was going to
the bathroom in our River to show him
that we know what you're up to you liar
you filthy
liar now this
B page 12b says that she identified that
her father is a liar and she came down
to the river to wash herself from her
father's
idolatry and she brought with her some
of our helpers some of our
helpers
says that this
walking that is being quoted in the
tah that these women were doing is not
referring to just simply walking the
reason why it says they're walking
why because they're walking towards
their death why walking towards their
death
She's why is she walking towards their
death because when she came
down to the river at that very same
moment brought mosenu little Moshe in a
basket he's over there the savior of am
is and baa wants to save the boy she
hears the crying she is the crying of
someone that sounds more like a teenager
and she wants to save the boy and the
maid servants her helpers say to
her what are you
doing you wish to rescue this Jewish boy
how could it be in a normal world when
there's a king of Flesh and Blood
issuing a decree if even if the entire
world doesn't observe what the king said
at least the children of his house
observe
it yet here you are violating the decree
of your own father by Saving one of the
boys that he decreed to
kill at that very moment there was no
time for baa
to respond to them why not why no time
because thear
says sent the angel Gabriel with his
giant hands that he has and T he crushed
them all into the ground all of them
died on the
spot theik was left alone
purified believing in one and only God
and saves the savior
of here we see one other example
where did not have any tolerance for
further opportunities of sinning and
going against his
word another
time has an amazing story
an amazing story
where involves the king
yanai king yanai was a Jewish King who's
from the uh Levy tribe was a
Quin and uh but he was suspected by some
that uh that his mother was captured in
a war and possibly raped by the enemy so
some did not agree that he would be a
Coen and he was a kalal kalal so it
wasn't it was a CO with a
defect but anyway this King
yanai this King
Yi was a powerful King people were
scared of
him and uh there was a sadik at the time
by name of Shimon Ben
shatak Shimon Ben shatak was the head of
the
senad and uh this Shimon bhatan
all he saw was AEM didn't see anything
else didn't care about nothing
else didn't care about anything else at
one time one of the slaves of
yanai killed
somebody so Shimon Ben says to the
people go and bring send a message to
tell King yanai to come here to the
bedin come here to the bedine why cuz
your slave is like you he's like part of
your he's like your your right hand or
your left hand he's your property if he
causes damage you have to pay for it
tell him he has to come to the bed
because his slave killed somebody King
yanai hears that the sadik Shimon is
calling him to come to
the and he comes he obliges once he gets
there Shimon B says to him King stand on
your feet
and they meaning the witnesses who
witness the uh murder will testify
against you and know that you are not
standing before us the judges but rather
you're standing before the one who spoke
and the world came into being meaning
you're standing for the honor of hm
you're not standing for my
honor but y get embarrassed why he's a
king you tell a king to stand you K tell
the king to
stand really as a
note the the the run sadik the
Run 800 years ago so writes that
Shon shouldn't have said that shouldn't
have
embarrassed the uh the king that way and
tell him to stand he's a king don't tell
him like
that but let's see what else
happens after and
I sees that he's being treated as if
he's a commoner he has to
stand he responds to Shimon B and he
says I will not act in accordance with
what you say but in accordance to what
your colleagues say you I understand you
sadik everything else but what what do
your friend say over there what is the
rest of the San San was like a half the
way they were all sitting was like a
there was half of them were on one side
the other half was on the other side
so
Shimon looks to his one side to his
right to see what the judges what the
rabbis the biggest rabbis in the world
they're they're s he looks at them no
and they all put their head down scared
to say to the king to to stand
up he looks to the left and the rabbis
the biggest rabbis in the world
put their head down scared to say
anything to the
king to stand up or anything
Shimon gets Furious to see
this where they're scared of a king of
Flesh and Blood and not scared of
a and what happens he says the
following you you men of thought you you
you you are the leaders you are you
people may the master of thoughts come
an exact retribution from you if you you
are the uh the wise man among us and
this is how you act May the master of
all wisdom come and punish you for what
you're
doing thear says immediately as he
completed the
sentence a
s sent the very
same with his giant hands killed all of
them one shot the entire bed is killed
Shimon B and the King are left the
entire bed the whole dies on the spot
gets crushed into the ground for
this here we see another time
that punished on the spot
another
source
in another story with
King what is
it the page
66a
says that uh
y went to
Kit went to the kit in a
desert and he conquered over there 60
cities and when he returned he was
exteme extremely happy celebrating and
so on so he called
the called for the to come celebrate
have a have a celebration that the king
just conquered 60
cities so the
come come but one of
these one of these people that came was
a person that has more adjectives to
describe how Wicked he is than anybody
else in who is this
person there was a certain person there
a scuffer a man of wickedness and
Lawless heart
and
El was his
name
El he
came and it starts all with these people
they like to make fun of
stuff
and says to the
king yourness you know that
uh the uh hearts of the Pharisees are
upon you
just like Yos used to say New Testament
meaning that their hearts the sages the
that you invited they hate you they
don't really like you they're not really
happy that you just won all these
battles and King Genai said to him so
what should I
do so
elazar
says why don't you come put the the Coen
had a special te with the's name on it
put it on your head see how they react
they'll tell you what their real opinion
is after they see you do that cuz you're
a Coen let's see if they accept you as a
Coen so and he knew that they're not
going to accept him because it was well
known that there's an issue here with
his mother and so
on so y put theen G's seats on his
head and there was a
sadik that named Yuda Ben gya
who
says King and I be satisfied with the
crown of kingship leave the crown of K
for the progeny of
AR you're a king you already have a
crown why do you need to also have the
crown of the coin for what be happy with
what you
have why should he be happy what he have
why can't he have both why is he why is
he challenging him because the issue of
yan
um was captured by ders and mod and it
was uh and from
there yanai was born after that so they
said it's very possible that yanai a uh
is
problematic either he came as a result
of it or perhaps even if it's not a
result of it there still there was a
rape and she was really forbidden to her
husband so he's not a kosher
Kain so
but this issue was investigated and
there was no confirmation this was the
case they couldn't confirm that this was
the case and comes this
elazar to
King this
rash and he says to him King yanai if an
ordinary Jew was treated this way it
would be is lot to submit to the
dignity but you you are a king and now
you're
theen and this is what you get that's
how they make fun of you and that's how
they embarrass you tell you're not a
Coen you're not this you're not that so
your says okay so what should I do
now so far seems like a good guy he
doesn't want to do anything bad but this
rash keeps Whispering his
ear what should I do laar says to him if
you want to listen to my advice kill all
of
them and your ni sayst what will happen
with the
Torah he says Ah the Torah what is it
just a Torah scroll
Ines okay whoever wants to come read it
can come read
it
he made yanai forget about the whole
concept of oral T because until this
point the Mish was not written so in
reality all of these they were the oral
Tora they were the most important people
they were the oral Torah
and at that moment thoughts of heretical
thoughts entered the mind of yanai to
agree with this elazar
rash and he passed a decree to kill all
of the sages of of of
Israel and the world was literally
orphaned of until Shimon
Ben came and returned Torah to its
former standing where he started
teaching everyone and
developing here we see
again
is punishing
severely very
quickly and in two
cases Shimon Ben
was the only sadik
left two cases Shimon was the only sadik
left now the question is how
come left
shim how
come he left them even
though some disagree with his
strategy some disagree with the fact
that he already got on the B side of of
of uh King
yanai so one of the from the past
generation the the be
Moshe says that
although danan says that he disagrees
with the strategy
of shiman to embarrass the king and Tom
to stand up we see here that in sh he
still got the help why because even
though he told yite to stand up y let's
say was was embarrassed and then all of
the did not support theik
shim but hasem killed all of them he
didn't kill he didn't kill shim he left
him alive that time and later on again a
different time so we see that is on his
side and what do we learn from here we
learn from
here that even if we can't say that the
one of the we can't say he's wrong for
disagreeing with Shimon bat we can't say
he's he's right why because on one hand
shim B proven right on other hand it is
kind pretty obvious that you shouldn't
really tell a king to stand up so you
can't say this one is wrong and that one
is wrong but here we see one thing for
sure one thing we know for sure from
this whole story what do we see we see
that when a person does something purely
for the sake of Heaven purely for the
sake of the honor of hem even if he's
wrong will help him and support him and
everyone else around them that is not
doing what they're doing for the sake of
Heaven even if they're right Hashem will
not support them and sometimes even kill
them for
it
this is an atomic bum for anyone who
understands because if a person truly
does what he does for the sake of Heaven
not for the sake of I think this is the
right thing to do for the sake of is for
the sake of helping the Jewish people
for the sake of honoring the Torah not
honoring himself and saying I'm right
and everyone El is wrong he is doing
this for what for the honor of the Torah
he's Prosecuting against yanai the king
and tell him to stand to comply with
what the rules of the tah is for the
sake of showing that the tah applies to
everyone whether it's a king or a commor
he is sighting with the toah at all
times he's not going and wasting his
time and helps him so even if you agree
with what the said that he shouldn't
have done it we still see that hasm
helped him anyway which actually is is a
bigger thing cuz if it's clear that he
was right and hasm helped him it's not
you know it's not really that much
learning to be made
there so where else do we see this where
else do we see this we also see
this m
m is told by go and talk to
the stone to the S tell to bring water
to is sanctify my
name remembers from the past the first
time that told him to get water from the
Cella from the
stone he told him to hit it but that was
many years ago
and he figures the same thing this
time so he comes and he talks to the
wrong
S talks to the wrong one so obviously
he's not going to bring
water so he hits the wrong
one and water comes out so ask if it's
the wrong
one why is a making you bring water at
the very least make it not bring water
so there's no there's no desecration of
hm's name or or lack of sanctifying his
name if you didn't want this sah to
yield water cuz it's the wrong one then
why is it bringing water after
all say because mosenu was not trying to
impress everyone with his powers and how
he could do this and how he could do
that what did he go to the s for because
said it for the sake of he only hit the
stone for the sake of and even if even
if what you're doing is wrong because
you're doing it for the sake of isem
will help you hem will help you this is
an extraordinary message to anyone that
helps the public that helps people learn
toah eat uh teach
Torah does all types of things for the
sake of CL is homeless shelters anything
that you do for the cloud for the for
the public you're involved in this is
one of the most important things that a
person can know for that particular
purpose because of course the more good
you do the more people will come and try
to tell you that you're not doing good
because they're the messages of the
Satan but even more so sometimes you'll
have individual issues where you are
going and you're doing Chua and you're
going and you're doing the right thing
but the world around you the people
around you that until now or your
friends or your family or the people
that you're most close to they disagree
with you they disagree with you and tell
you you're crazy you're crazy you're
crazy and perhaps you lose some money
and you lose this and you lose that they
this and they
that here we have a proof from the Torah
in multiple
places that if you're doing things for
the sake of Heaven even if you're wrong
will help you needless to say he will
help you if you if you're
right now is he going to help you in
your timing is he going to help you
right away like he did with mosenu or
like he did with Shimon Ben or like he
did with B perhaps maybe perhaps not but
nonetheless for sure he will help you
for sure he will help
you and the help that he will give you
will be much better than the help that
you could ever imagine by yourself
because if you're doing it for the right
reason for the sake of Heaven they can
call you crazy as much as they want they
can call you a fanatic as much as they
want you give it some time and you see
the blessings start coming and all of
those people that made fun of you will
come to you and ask you for blessings
and I'm not talking about myself
although this all happened to me I'm not
talking about myself I'm talking about
all of you that are
watching all of you that are watching
and are having a difficult time with
your parents or your kids or your
neighbors or your colleagues or
sometimes even the Arab r that calls
himself your Rabbi and all of the people
that keep telling you the opposite of
what the Torah says you see if you keep
going in the way of
a today they call you crazy and they
call you fanatic and whatever they want
to call you give it some sometime every
single one of them like little good
little kids will come to you and ask you
for blessings why because that is one of
the blessings altogether that is one of
the blessings of the tah
itself
that teaches
us that when wants to show a person that
he's happy with his actions he's happy
with our actions he'll even send your
enemies to come say and are we want
peace with you we're sorry for what we
did please give us a blessing please
show us the way this is for all of those
people that are having a tough time with
their surroundings all of the different
people that are giving you a tough time
I promise you you stick with hhm you're
never going to lose you're never going
to lose of course doesn't mean that it's
it's easy nonetheless it's very hard but
what happens if a
person if a person fails time and time
again starts following his
actions one of the greatest that I own
series of that I own is the series of
called
the was
written
by about 800 years ago and he gives a
source for every one of the
613 Source in an explanation of it an
analysis of it it's a fantastic s for
everyone that has already learned all of
the other
Basics but he teaches things
that are pure
genius about every single Mitzvah we've
learned a little bit together about the
mitvah of rebuke from him we've learned
the Mitzvah of
not allowed to be a Prohibition of
Revenge we've learned a little bit about
him now you would
think to learn some from the mitvah of
the prohibition of breaking a bone of
the PES offering to learn M from that
it's not possible what can I possibly
learn from the mitvah of the prohibition
of breaking the bones of the PES
offering you have to bring an offering
in PES today it's not applicable because
we don't have the bet
mikdash but when we had the bet mikash
we had P offering this is still valid we
just can't practice it because we have
no mdash so it's unold until the mdash
is rebuild soon but
nonetheless also didn't see the but yet
he taught this
lesson what does he
say we have this mitzvah
that comes from the book of
Exodus
12:46 that says in one house shall it be
eaten you shall not remove any of the
meat from the house outside and you
shall not break a bone in
it here we're commanded not to break the
bones of the PES
offering as it says and you shall not
break a bone in it why do we have this
Mitzvah what's the basis of of this
Mitzvah the principal basis is for to
remember the Redemption of the Jewish
people to to remember
the that we are a special people we're
treasured of all among all the nations
we're Kingdom of ministers and holy
people and it's fitting for us to
perform the type of activities where we
display LOF our lofty
status to which we Ascend at the
time this is
it so the typical person would say hold
on a second this mitvah of don't break
the bones has to remind me of me being
part of a special chosen people and a
special people that was taken out of
Egypt and so on and so forth you'll see
a lot of of self-hating Jews one of
their things that they don't like about
the Jewish people their own people is
that we are the chosen
people we are the chosen people like
this
rash named
met who is a uh used to be a BAL Chua
then became used the Torah to build
himself a
stage pretending to be some uh Jamaican
singing reggae which it's bizarre to me
that anyone even took this joke store as
serious to begin with a white guy with a
beard and aish outfit singing reggae I
don't know to me it's one of the most
bizarre things in history I know a few
good people that are from Jamaica I
don't think they would ever look at such
a person but nonetheless the world is
stupid and listen to this jokester
utilize the to to elevate himself
because no one ever saw such a thing
happen so he built himself a career and
before you know it as soon as the money
came he threw God in the garbage and now
he even has interviews where he says
that he doesn't keep mitv he doesn't
care he goes he makes all types of sex
crimes he doesn't believe in the Torah
he doesn't agree with it he believes God
in his own way and so on and so forth so
this menal one of the things he says is
that he always thought that the concept
of the Jewish people being a chosen
people is completely absurd he thinks
everybody's the same and now he's not
alone the same thing goes with other
other Wicked people whether it's Seth
Rogan or all of the other Wicked
self-hating Jews that are in the public
eye especially the
celebrities very often that's one of the
things they hate the most about the tah
is that they do not want to be
recognized as a special people they want
to be like everybody
else so here we have a mitvah that
specifically tells tells us no you're
going to do this mitvah because you're
not like everybody
else so then you're going to say okay
but don't we have other MIT that can do
the same thing don't we say every day to
remind ourselves
of that he took us out of Egypt that
we're special people we're chosen people
he saved us he's our God Ten
Commandments all that whole
things we love part of it in this
week's at the end of the
the so isn't
not to remind us isn't it also you put
on for the sake of that's the that's the
Torah portions that are in those boxes
in the
boxes so isn't that about that and
there's a bunch of others that are
always about so what do we need this one
also
for
comes listen carefully to each and every
word that he says because it's a
diamond do not think my son to challenge
my words and say what purpose is there
in hasem Blessed Be he commanding us to
perform all of these mitv as a
remembrance of the miracle of The Exodus
why with one remembrance alone the
matter of the miraculous Exodus can be
brought to our attention so that it's
not forgotten from our off
Offspring for it is not out of wisdom
that you would thus challenge me on this
it's childish thinking that would
influence you to speak in such a manner
he says young little young man young
girl that says we don't need this mitvah
to remind us that made us Miracles we
already have
enough says only a little baby talks
like that what do you mean a little baby
a person could be 45 years old 55 years
old saying such stupid things he says
only a baby in Tor person that doesn't
know any Torah a child a child doesn't
know nothing only somebody like that
would say such a thing why why why
wouldn't a wise person say such a
thing now my son if you have the
understanding listen listen to this and
incline your ear and hear this I will
instruct you for your benefit in
Torah know it to be true that a man is
affected in accordance with his actions
and his heart and thoughts constantly
follow the deeds in which he is occupied
whether good or
evil even someone who is entirely Wicked
heart for whom every product of the
thought of his heart is but evil always
if his spirits were to be aroused and he
were to diligently place his efforts and
activity in the study of tah in a
performance of mitv even if not for the
sake of Heaven the result would be that
he would immediately turned towards the
good
path if he were to continue on that path
through the strength of his deeds he
would
eventually slay the evil inclination
within himself kill the AL together that
we kill
the this is because the hearts of men
are drawn after their actions he says
example number one to show you the truth
even if you have somebody that is wasted
seed his whole life violated Shabbat his
whole life looked at all the awful
things did all the awful things but you
have that guy start go to a Yesa go to a
Col go to an
empty start taking books read non-stop
all day just delve in t do pray put on
to fing that's it he's focused on doing
CH he's focused on doing you will see
that Wicked person turn into aad but not
just any like that has
no what if he doesn't do it for the sake
of Heaven he said he'll still succeed
and we have a m several several
experiments like this that we're doing
right now we had one person one of a
special project what I want you to turn
the most wicked person in the world into
a tadik how by learning the sh okay we
have one guy used to be
religious had enough bad experience from
the religious World from Bad rabbis that
he left everything behind ended up doing
all types of things moved to a
completely different country moved to
Australia R FR approached him he said
listen how about this I'm going to pay
you to learn the whole sh in one
year I'm going to pay you to learn the
entire
tal in one
year not asking you to put on keep not
asking you to keep Shabbat not asking
you to do anything just asking you to
learn the
Shas and I'll pay you for it meaning
you're not doing it for mitvah you're
not doing it because you're trying to do
Chu nothing just learn the sh nothing
else I don't ask you for but you have to
show me that you're learning it not just
tell me you're learning it you have to
give me
reports him and several other people
took the challenge
on this young man that I'm talking about
right now in Australia in a matter of
now it's been 7 months 8
months isn't entire life has changed
without anybody ever telling them to
keep anything just by learning tah in
the last seven months eight months maybe
he has completely changed his life keeps
everything he knows finish he's keeping
Shabbat like it's m he came from
M finish he says I have to say blessings
how could I learn without saying
blessings finish oh I can't wait for
sukat I already know how to build the
this this and that and he keeps
finishing after after traed after traed
after traed in the and his whole life is
changing his wife became a
with everything is changing she says
just learn I'm going to work you do just
learn this whatever you're doing it's
working our life is much
better that's what the is saying even if
a person is wicked and made every crime
Under the Sun if he seriously toils in
Tora and does the he will end up
becoming a big
sadik and this young man is on Pace to
be complete the entire talm not the Mish
not the commentary of something no no
the whole talm inside of 12 months what
people don't achieve in their whole life
B he's unpaced to complete it inside of
months you can try the experiment also
with people in your family you'll see it
work but don't be cheap when it comes to
money because you have to get them to do
it for a decent amount of
money anyway the
continues even if a person is entirely
righteous and his heart is straight and
perfect desire
to even such a person could be led
astray by his way of negative
actions if he were to constantly engage
in false
conduct you may say by way of example
that the king coerced them and appointed
him to a wicked
trade then in truth if all his activity
constantly and all day was in that trade
with the passing of time he would
eventually Retreat from the
righteousness of his heart and become an
entirely Wicked individual for the
matter is known and true that every man
is affected in accordance with his
actions as we have stated many times
young in Yesa in a come to me and tell
me listen I need to do T I wasted this I
did this I did that and I give him the
shim you watch the shim you're going to
protect your bre you watch the sh you're
going to protect your breit why it's
going to teach you the right way to
think the right way to address this
issue young girls they learn the sh
about modesty they're going to want to
be modest and so on and so forth and
what ends up happening is that people
start doing chuva they start doing Chua
they start doing Chua they start getting
strong they start getting strong and
then they get a little bit overconfident
what do I mean they get overconfident
they figure listen since I'm already you
know 6 months clean a year clean two
years clean I'm already modest for a
year I'm already modest for two years I
can attend uh this uh non- kosher
wedding or this non koser event or go to
a non- kosher uh place and so on and so
forth meaning that I could I'm already
strong enough I can hang out with a few
people that are from my past and I tell
them do not go if it's a wedding or a
bar mitzvah or whatever type of event
that has mixed in sing do not go for a
second not even for a second not even
for the reception not even to wave and
leave nothing
nothing if it's one of these places one
of these parties that celebrates
idolatry like Xmas party don't
go if it's a non kosher restaurant don't
go if it's a non- kosher person don't go
don't go it's your ex-girlfriend it's
your
ex-boyfriend don't go but people don't
want to listen no no it's my best friend
no it's my brother no it's my this no
it's my that almost 100% of the time
they break during that event and then
they cry a river and another River
Another River I can't believe I just
broke it I can't believe I was good for
six months for a year and now I'm
already I'm starting from nothing and it
t it takes double the effort sometimes
to start again because they had momentum
carrying them doing so good why says it
right here even if you're aik even if
you go to yes you're you're a good guy
you're everything but you expose
yourself to evil things you'll fall
there's no question about it
why actions affect
the therefore the
says based on this idea that the person
is influenced by his action
our sages of blessed memory have stated
in the Mish Mak page 23b that the Holy
One blessed is he desires to confer
Merit
upon that the Holy One wanted to bring
Merit to therefore he gave them in
abundance this is to say that he gave us
an abundance of T and so as to preoccupy
all of our thoughts through them and
that all of our activities should be
focused on fulfilling them so as to
bestow goodness upon us in our ultimate
end for through the good actions in
which we engage we are affected to
become good and we thereby Merit eternal
life and our sages of blessed memory
have alluded to this when they stated in
m page 43b that anyone who has a on his
doorway
a on His Garment and to fill in on his
head is assured that he will not sin
this is because these are constant MIT
and he's affected by them
constantly and therefore you should look
indeed carefully at what your occupation
and activities are in terms of their
spiritual effect for you will be drawn
after them but you will not draw them
that is your nature will not overcome
your actions rather your actions will
influence your nature do not allow your
yet your evil inclination to assure you
by telling you that since my heart is
complete and perfect in belief in
God what loss is there if I occasionally
enjoy the pleasures that life has
offered
mankind such as to loiter in the markets
in the streets to mock with the scuffers
to speak with unrestrained wit and other
such matters for which one would not be
required to bring guilt or S sin
offering for for having done that
meaning you're not even going to forbid
in places or doing things that you would
have to bring a sacrifice for but you're
doing them
freely therefore what ends up happening
what a person thinks is as far as as
they concern that I will be drawn after
the scuffers I'll say to
them what I have a heart like them my
little finger is thicker than their
loins meaning I'm strong willed I'm
strong I learned tah I'm just going to
hang out with them have a couple of
beers with them and then I'm going back
to learn a shield toah I'm strong I
don't need to uh worry about uh
desecrating Shabbat or uh marrying a
non-jew no no I learned T every
day no my son says
the no my son be worry of such company
lest you being snared in their net many
have drunk based on this logic from a
cup of their poison and suffer it
accordingly but as for you don't do so
rather save your
soul after you know this principle it
will no longer trouble you why there is
an abundance of mitv with regards to
calling the Miracles performed for us by
hasem in Egypt because these mitv are a
great pillar of our tah and because of
our engaging in them extensively we will
be influenced together the M towards the
matter that they are intended to bring
us to recall as we have stated above
meaning the whole point of all of the
mitv is to keep you out of
trouble to keep you out of trouble the
fact that you're constantly being
reminded to
remember the Miracles in Egypt and all
of those things is because if you're not
constantly active in doing MIT for sure
you're going to be involved in making
sense it's there there is no neutral
there is no neutral in Judaism either
you're making or you're
making either you're on the way to make
a or you're on the way to making an a a
sin there's no such thing as neutral for
an extended period of time you're on the
way to do
something so is constantly giving
us his Mercy by telling us he is another
Mitzvah here's another Mitzvah here
remember this here remember that here
remember this why because your actions
will lead to consequences good ones or
bad ones and sometimes has to punish
right away sometimes has to make a
miracle right away
nonetheless is giving each and every
single one of us an opportunity to
fulfill this to and save our
own this will give us the courage to do
the will of hem as hem wills and we
succeed and we sanctify his name and get
the rest of the people around us to do
the same as Wills with that being said
let's get some
questions I did a blessing
before
okay uh um Ruben is asking if a person
learns the Su and is convinced it's the
real one should he put it on there are
who wear it like ra
and I don't remember ever hearing that
ra wears the uh or that is wearing
it uh listen I I don't believe it's
necessarily a sin to wear it but you
should ask your Rabbi you should ask
your Rabbi if uh if he's wearing it
because because if unless R Maza R do
cook are your
rabbis uh you know it's not necessarily
that uh uh you should follow what
they're doing because uh they're doing
it uh especially since the vast majority
of do do not wear
the uh and you know I'm not sure but
I've never heard that these two wearing
the because again it's a very a sa big
suff about whether really is the of the
Tora and that's
whyin
theki and countless other never uh never
uh counted it as the case uh so if you
want to wear it by all means you can but
uh if you ask me whether you should or
not if you were my student and I was
your Rabbi I would tell you no I would
tell you no but you have to ask your
Rabbi and and and uh and decide what you
want to do
I don't wear the if anybody is wondering
I don't wear the I've asked the same
question to my Rabbi and that's the
that's the answer that he gave
me maltin is asking are Jews allowed to
sell or buy lottery tickets uh to buy a
lottery ticket uh there is a Prohibition
of gambling there's a Prohibition of
gambling in the Torah and uh the uh I
believe it was R Moshe Feinstein it says
that if someone is going to buy a
lottery ticket up to AA meaning an
insignificant amount of money uh some
say insignificant amount of money means
$1 and some say it's $2 if he buys it
randomly not like on a regular basis or
daily basis because then it's no longer
insignificant once a uh uh he buys it
randomly once a month once every few
months a dollar here dollar there uh or
even some say $2 here $2 there let's say
a couple times a year here then there is
a no problem with it but if he's
starting to buy lot of tickets and
scratch off tickets every single day
according to all opinions it's not
allowed if he's a Jew a non-jew on the
other hand is allowed that's as far as
buying it that's as far as buying it now
as far as selling it is concerned again
if you know that the majority of the
people that are buying the tickets from
you are going to be not Jewish then
you're allowed to sell it to them you're
allowed to sell it to non-jews cuz
they're allowed to do it if you know
that your crowd is only Jews then you
have to start monitoring to see if any
one of your customers is an addict and
you're in essence enabling him to his uh
sin to his addiction which could be very
very problematic not just for him but
also for you uh but if the majority of
the people uh let's say if you live in
America or you live in England you live
in uh Africa somewhere and pretty much
anywhere outside of Israel
then the majority of customers are going
to be non-jews and therefore you're
allowed to sell it uh but if you're
doing it in Israel it's a little bit
more problematic and uh and uh I think
that a person needs to be
careful uh yonah is asking I may have
the Merit to visit the Reb's oil soon so
my question is what is the kosher most
effective way to pray at the grave of a
sadik for instance do I pray to hem with
the Merit of the sadik in
mind okay so the important thing to know
is that the sadik doesn't need your
favors he doesn't need your favors uh
praying to him is not a favor in fact
it's a problem it's idolatry so never
ever pray to aik never pray say
oh Shimon please help me you know and
you'll bring me the Salvation never do
such a thing never pray to to the sadik
never pray to never that's 100% idol
worship and it's extremely problematic
okay so you pray to hem now you pray to
hem and you say in the Merit of this
sadik what Merit in the Merit of this
sadik's in the Merit of this sadik's T
that he learned that he taught in that
Merit please bring me the Salvation
because I myself don't have enough Merit
now why would the sadik allow you to use
his Merit why would the sadik allow you
to use Merit either because you're
paying him respect and honor by bringing
Torah and mitv to his to his grave site
so you're coming to his grave site so in
essence you're honoring him that perhaps
will entice him to allow you to use his
Merit or a bigger one and more important
one that you don't even have to do by
going to the oil you could do it at home
you could anywhere except a filthy place
you could do it in
a is by learning
theik learning the sadik's books that
will bring you a lot more than anything
else learning the sadik's books learning
is T then you could ask and you could do
that from anywhere you want to do that
before or during while you're at the
grave site that's uh that would be very
effective but a lot of times
people think that if they just simply go
to the grave site they uh simply uh say
they leave they should expect all
miracles Under The Sun It's not exactly
that it's not exactly that there's a lot
more to it and uh a person needs to be
careful uh not to uh uh uh you know not
not not to expect certain things that
are uh simply wrong uh it's very
important to learn
that that's really the biggest thing and
actually is a famous story where
somebody that uh in the beginning of uh
radya uh being known to the world in the
beginning a lot of people went against
him they didn't know how great of a
scholar he was and they went against him
especially when he went and uh uh uh
disagreed with the many times of the
Benish uh which was the biggest Safari
Rabbi
until he was a giant among giants still
a giant among giants and comes young
radya uh still in his teens and
disagrees with him and uh he got beaten
up almost to death went to the hospital
uh by people that called themselves
religious and uh and were very zealous
to protect the honor of their Rabbi uh
the the Benish now either way even the
ones that weren't foolish enough to be
violent they still many people said bad
things about radya and later on as it
became very well known that he is not
only a a giant in Tor he's one of the
many people came back and apologized and
said we didn't you know I'm sorry for
the things I did what I said about the
rav even though the rav was not there to
hear it I know that uh you know it's I
have to say I'm sorry and so on and so
forth and one time one uh one guy comes
to and says please I said bad things
about the I please the forgive
me says to don't worry I forgive you but
if you really want me to forgive you you
want me to forgive you with a full heart
he said of course I would want nothing
better than that yes he say if you
really want me to forgive you learn my
books learn my books that I spent my
blood sweating tears
writing then I will forgive you
completely learn my books learn my then
I'll forgive you that's the greatest
thing you can ever do for aik for
a learn their books listen to their
lectures publicize their that is the
greatest thing you can do more than
money more than saying they're great and
they're wonderful and giving them
compliments more than anything else is
to learn their tah you learn their tah
automatically you're giving them
something that is
Beyond
a Beyond price of any any amount of
money in the world so if you're going to
go to a grave site and you want to go to
the fullest extent as far as having the
biggest impact my recommendation is to
learn the tadik that uh before you go
and even during the time that you go
there aside from also praying to but
praying to Hashem
remember next question um Charlie's
asking what does v and do the CH
doesn't
is is a CH that is admitting the
wrongdoing that you've done now chuva in
itself the is there's several steps so
there's the uh uh first it's admitting
that you've made a mistake that's the
V all of the different sins that a
person made that is the first step of CH
if a person lives in denial doesn't
think that they even sinned she doesn't
understand why there's anything wrong
with her wearing a long wig she doesn't
understand why there's anything wrong
with her wearing pants or a short skirt
she doesn't understand why there's
anything wrong with her flirting with uh
some guys from time to time she doesn't
understand why it's wrong to uh to go to
lunch with her guy friends while she's
married and even if she's not married
she does understand a person like that
cannot even begin to do Chua they can't
begin to do Chua why because they're not
admitting they're wrong same thing with
a guy a guy doesn't understand why it's
wrong for him to watch sports instead of
learn tah he doesn't see what's wrong
with him watching movies he doesn't see
anything wrong with it then that person
cannot even begin to do chba cannot even
begin to do cha
now since I mentioned the whole issue of
TV and watching somebody sent me a
present many times people send me stuff
but once in a while it's mha gift what's
his gift I'm going to share this gift
with you it's the gift that keeps on
giving what's his
gift a group
ofik zealous for the words of
hem wrote this and publicized it and
recommending that people print this and
hang this on their
Shool and on television screens should
be also computer screens should be
everywhere what is
this said there's going to be should do
a blessing a blessing to be
recited before watching a
movie unless it's the T movie because T
movie we already have a blessing in the
movie but if it's any other movie you
have to do a do a special prayer if you
will what's the
prayer I am hereby willingly and readily
preparing to bind myself to
the meaning the
Satan to give power and strengthen the
kipot and the forces of evil that reside
in the world with the movie that I'm
about to watch and may it be that for
the next 2 and 1 half hours I will unite
myself totally and completely with the
movie and bind myself to it in total
concentration I am hereby ready and
prepared to be a p
to desecrate my eyes and gaze at IM
modestly dressed women for the next two
and a half hours I am fully prepared to
be over on a love meaning a from
you should not follow the the verse in
the Tor so we say don't follow the ways
of your heart the ways of your
eyes you're going to violate that mitvah
I am also willing to transgress the love
of that uh you should
uh keep away
from anything of evil don't ever get
close to a sin
I am ready and prepared to be
over a of looking and thinking about
women as brought down by allim another
sin including but not limited to the
ran I am also more than ready to be over
on and to you to also desecrate the
mitvah of being holy and that we're
obligated to be holy
I also ready and prepared to look at the
face of the even though the holy warns
that it is very damaging to the
soul so this is a prayer that a person
should do before they destroy their go
before you can destroy read this you're
not going to watch the movie but it
continues and M even though it's long it
deserves our attention to hear every
word I am ready and prepared a person
should say to himself if they're about
to watch a movie
I'm ready and prepared to funnel impure
thoughts into my mind that will cause me
to heaven forbid be to waste
seed if that will not happen that I am
fully prepared and ready to seek car
while I'm asleep meaning the seed's
going to leave at him at
night which is still a
sin says that a person should watch his
eyes during the day so evil doesn't come
to him at night if a person has seed
come out of him at night while he's
sleeping if the it's because he watched
immodesty during the day it's 100% a
purposeful
sin I am fully ready to contaminate my
mind day and night with impure thoughts
and Recollections from the movie that
I'm about to watch I'm ready and
prepared to spend
countless spaced out from beginning to
end having the impurity of the movie
overtake my mind I'm ready and prepared
to have the in my
what with my on thinking about
filthiness while you have on or during
your amid prayer you're you don't even
know what you're saying you start with a
uh you finish you don't even know what
you're saying because your mind is
thinking about
movies I'm hereby making myself a vessel
to fully receive and absorb all of the
impure essence of the defiled actors and
producers that created this movie I'm
ready to be integrated and impressed
upon my body soul and emotions I'm ready
to absorb all the non-jewish culture and
the bad traits of the 70 Nations I'm
willing and ready to bring into my mind
confusion and
heresy I will confound my mind with
Wicked philosophy until I will start not
believing in AEM and sikim altogether
I'm ready and prepared to start uttering
the vulgarity and slang that I will hear
throughout the movie and fully plan on
integrating it into my daily
conversations I'm prepared and ready to
adore and idolize the wicked in the
movie who wish to destroy am and whose
ancestors committed gross murderous acts
against our nation I'm ready and totally
bind myself to their fake impure and
empty culture and commit to live it
myself and my family I'm fully ready and
prepared to cause great damage and
destruction in the spiritual world
I ready to cause great flaws in many of
the various holy
names I'm fully ready to create great
havoc in the worlds
of I'm ready to damage and mutilate all
parts of my soul composed
of and I'm ready to delay the arrival of
mashia and to bring much suffering and
poverty to the world I'm ready to waste
the next hours funneling impurity into
my soul instead of spending the time
studying and
doing I'm ready to lose all sensation
and awareness of Kad as well as nullify
my and I'm ready to strongly lower my
ability to concentrate and learn to as
well as damage my memory for all things
holy I'm also giving the the the uh the
demons in so many words a permanent
share of all the Torah and MIT that I do
until the point when I do chuba I'm
ready to create demons and other
negative entities that will steal all my
substance I'm ready to further away my
ability to find my Z making it hard to
find a wife or husband and make her
completely opposed and rebellious to me
if I do find her meaning even if you
find a z you'll have marriage
problems if I'm married then I'm willing
to have my children considered sem since
I will not be able to control my
thoughts where the says says anyone that
is thinking about a different woman
while he's with his
wife say that's a that's like you
cheated on your wife I will do all of
the above willingly and gleefully
sitting relaxed in the sofa and enjoying
myself to the utmost now this for anyone
who doesn't understand it's obviously
mocking the whole issue of watching TV
watching movies Netflix all this garbage
but many times you will see people that
call themselves religious do just that
without thinking twice about
it even uh some of these people that
have a
uh YouTube uh videos they call
themselves rabbis they openly admit for
watching movies on Netflix and watching
all types of sports and filth and so on
like without thinking there's anything
wrong with
now anyone that has Kus in their mind
knows that watching all that garbage
ruins you watching all that garbage
ruins you watching just uh immodesty on
the screen all these HBO shows and
Showtime shows and all types of Filth
that's out there it's damaging your mind
so if you're already going to do it at
least read this and maybe maybe this is
enough to wake you up and encourage you
not to do it because apparently you
forgot the entire Tora that says not to
do it so maybe maybe this will remind
you and I 100% agree everybody should
have this in their house in their uh on
their screens in their betet this
literally should be laminated so if it
was allowed to make this into a tattoo I
would say tattoo it but we're not
allowed to have tattoos this is
something this
is this is this is what a person needs
to think that if you're going to destroy
your
you you could do it in two seconds by
watching TV by watching shows by
watching the internet all that stuff two
seconds you could use everything for
good and for bad you can use the
internet to get the you can use the
internet to get
the the internet is allowing many to
reach countless people in all parts of
the world but also leads many people to
G known because of all the pornography
and filth and so on so everything can be
used for good and bad if you're GNA be
using these screens of your TV of your
phone of your computer for
bad at the very least take all of this
into consideration and realize what's on
the line what you're losing what you're
losing as a result of watching all this
filth and perhaps this will encourage
you to to not do it so as far as to
complete the answer to your question
Chua is number one admitting that what
you're doing is wrong number
two is to stay away from it by building
a fence by learning about the topic
learning about the sin learning about
the mitvah learning what entices you to
sin learning what entices you to do a
mitvah and so on building a fence around
it not spending any time with people
that encourage you to sin not going to
places that encourage you to sin and so
on that's step number two step number
three the rambam says is remorse
where you simply cry to hem when you do
this V by admitting that it's wrong is
good but it's not enough you have to
also be sorry about it meaning cry over
it be sorry about it say AEM I'm sorry
but genuinely mean it how come it's step
three and not step number one
because says that's because when you
first start stop sinning it's not
because you think it's wrong you stop
sinning because you see that something
else is more right but you don't feel
that watching movies is wrong at first
even when you stop watching movies you
don't feel that wasting seed is so wrong
even even after you stop wasting seed in
the beginning you don't feel like being
immoral with women is so wrong you
actually find it
fun at first you don't feel so bad about
it when do you feel bad about it once
you have stopped admitted the problem
stopped it learned about it build a
fence stayed away from it stayed away
from the filth from the spiritual
filth for an extended period of time
long enough to be able to smell the
stench that comes from it then you will
feel sorry for ever being part of it
this is why many times real only start
crying about their sins months and
sometimes years after they started doing
chuba why because in the beginning when
they started doing chbat they didn't
realize it was so wrong to violate
chabbat they didn't realize it was so
wrong to have abortions to uh to uh to
steal to do all types they didn't think
it was so wrong without T in reality
there's really nothing holding you back
from murdering and stealing and doing
everything wrong in society there's
really absolutely no real reason to not
be a monster if not for the tah you're
going to say oh but the law yeah but
what if you can get away with it what if
you can get away with it with murder and
rape and so on like many politicians and
Superstars and Hollywood stars do on a
regular basis they murder and rape and
and pedophilia and so on for a long long
time until they know enough somebody
enough where they expose them but really
they go with crimes unanswered for many
years decades Wicked people disgusting
filthy people like Michael
Jackson and the uh Kevin uh Casey
whatever his name is all these filthy
people in Hollywood that are pedophiles
that they do it for decades decades they
don't feel wrong about it for a
second they don't feel wrong about it
for a second many times even after
they're exposed they don't feel wrong
about it
it why they don't have to without the to
there's really no reason to not be a
monster if if you can get away with it
there's no reason not to not to do it
but if you have Tor you realize this is
wrong this is not the will of hem this
is disgusting this is terrible and so on
but you're only going to realize that
after you have gotten yourself far
enough from the filth to realize it's
filth that's why it's the third step
says
and then step number
four will test you and
verify whether you've really passed the
test and then sign off on you you are a
real Bal chuba now if you want to
express your whole Chua to make it much
bigger much greater much uh stronger and
so on you throw in some CU in there on a
regular basis because that the more you
help others the more could who's going
to help you and many times you need to
help others in order for your chat to be
complete to begin with anyway but the
point is is
that that is in essence admitting it and
then as far as you're admitting it in
multiple stages of the cha good
question excuse
me is asking if Shimon does
I.E giving out movie card CDs
H
movies although the recipient does not
do Chu does Shimon still receive reward
and bringus into the world or not 100%
he brings K into the world 100% he gets
reward for it why
because uh pays your reward for your
efforts not for your success for your
efforts not for your success if a uh uh
if a person tries to do their best but
they're uh they simply have no success
they it's impossible for them to succeed
for whatever reason or
another a rule in the that if a person
is an is incapable of being able to do
something but he wants to do it hasem
rewards him as if he did the mitvah 100%
that's one thing number two is that a is
the one that's responsible for results
not us we are responsible for effort
we're responsible to give the card to
give the lecture to learn the page to uh
to uh uh arrange the lecture to do
whatever we're doing to to publicize to
we are responsible for effort as far as
what the outcome is going to be only a
decides what the outcome is only decides
what the outcome is and if a person
exerts enough effort where he has merits
will make sure that those merits ear
earn rewards those merits earn reward
rewards and even the Prophet
Jeremiah uh when he saw that there was a
lot of wicked people he uh but those
Wicked people Justified their wickedness
because they were giving staka Jeremiah
prayed to Hashem that he that hasem take
their staka money and give it to Wicked
people so at Le they won't even get
Merit for that so when a person gives
staka when he gives uh
donations they also have to have Merit
for those donations to work for those
donations to work and actually be
effective and if a person is doing it
for the right reason because they're
doing Chua and they want other people to
do Chua surely reward them uh for
complete success for the effort and even
for the for uh for the
success Steve are non-jews also limited
to words and does texting count as using
words uh I believe so I believe that all
mankind uh is uh is limited to a certain
amount of words but texting or writing
is not really considered words no it's
words that come out of your
mouth uh Mark Mac if I had an income
then surely I would again contribute
gladly but I am extraordinary case and
am as rich as I could be
okay Arthur uh on schm Exodus 213 Rashi
says that if the servant was not married
at the outset of his term of servitude
his Mastery may not assign him a
canite slave woman from whom to Father
their slaves since only a Hebrew slave
has a term servitude is Rashi saying
that a Hebrew slave is allowed to Father
slaves from a non-jew
yes yes he's saying that we don't have
the uh mitv we don't have the ability to
slavery anymore but technically yes
yes uh ysep I just came home okay uh
question uh what should a convert be
studying on a weekly basis along with
the with commentary if they are already
watching several hours of your per
day something else I've read a syllabus
but I'm looking for a good Next Step
okay so the study program should be for
everybody not just necessarily for a uh
uh for a someone that's in a process of
conversion so a person needs to learn
the weekly par with
commentary then they also need to learn
mus then they also need to
learn you know you know two per day at
least if not
more uh and that's the uh that's the M
the
weekly now if a person is a little bit
more advanced if they're already a Jew
then they would start studying if
they're not a Jew just add to everything
that you're already doing it does not
need to be something else it should be
even more than what you're doing right
now and if you want to let's say you you
want to learn more but you don't have
the strength to to to uh to exert your
mind as much as necessary uh let's say
when you're learning M or when you're
learning or something like that then I
always recommend for people to have have
at least one bio of theim that they're
reading at all times a bio of one of
theim whether you want to write read the
bio ofas or the closenberg rebi Rashi
ramban there's so many bios that Sim no
nation in the world even has 1% of the
amount of extraordinary people as the as
as the Jewish people it's unbelievable
how amazing the Jewish people are it's
such a extraordinary that a
person uh could have to be part of the
Jewish people if they truly knew who the
Jewish people are uh and not conclude
who they are by the news uh or
unfortunately sometimes by the people
they see in their Community but uh if
they really understood who the Jewish
people are who are the ones that
represent Judaism who are the who are
the who are the amazing people you would
see how uh how extraordinary it is uh
and there's quite a few bios that uh you
know I can recommend friend anyone who
doesn't know uh I can name you a few I
can name you a few of top of my head
that I think are fantastic one of my
favorites is to remain a Jew it's a life
story of zilber zilber to remain a Jew
is a best seller which is unusual for a
Jewish book but it's a bestseller and
it's an extraordinary
book uh also raan's bio elman's bio
touched my heart in in ways that I don't
think any other book has uh connected to
the sadik in very big ways is his
sacrifice his love of Tor is
em uh and also I uh's bio my wife and I
both started crying at the end uh so
those are a few and you also have uh
many others the the closing verbi if you
read that book uh you're simply going to
learn more what it means to be an angel
even if you're surrounded by Gom being
an angel inside Gom closing bi fantastic
bio something
exceptional uh one one actually a uh
reading right now is uh is uh grman
David Grossman's new book or relatively
new
book um we just started reading it I
usually read these BIOS with my wife uh
uh on Shabbat uh and we started reading
a couple of weeks ago I don't know what
to tell you I mean there's Angels Among
Us and we did not even know I've known
about R Gman for a long time but not in
this way not so so uh so close uh it's
it's just Mas it's an angel among men
Angel among men it's m Angel among men
and people would think by the image of
Gman that he's like one of these Care
Bear rabbis nonsense nonsense His Image
is one of the uh the things that fools
people the most none you read his book
you see what he says and you see his the
reason why he succeeded and continues to
succeed and lives a thousand years not
120 years a thousand years doing what
he's doing and M building m a city a
city of kadus turning the biggest
criminal city in in the land of Israel
into the holiest city of Israel
single-handedly obviously lots of help
with people and so on but
he built a city of Holiness a city of
Holiness how emit emit couple of stories
I could remember there was one time uh a
uh the uh the Russians moved into the
mdal emic area and uh they were getting
a lot of help from the government and
the uh the Safari Jews the Moroccans uh
weren't getting any help from the
government in fact they were treated
like uh garbage
many times so there was created a lot of
tension between the two and one time the
uh the Russians had a party and one of
the you know spicy Moroccans decided
that he wants to go to the party even
though he's not invited and not allowed
to go and pushed himself into the party
the Russian guys said get out of here he
didn't want to get out of there pushing
and shoving he took a bottle glass
bottle smashed it and stuck it in the
guy's neck the guy died on the spot he
ran away and now the Russian were
looking for blood looking for blood this
was I believe if I remember
correctly that's unfortunately when you
don't know what Judaism is that's what
you do
in so now the Russians are causing havoc
in the city it's already a crime city to
begin with
andman is praying in
his most critical day of the year
Judgment
Day the mayor of the
city comes in with a bunch of people
gets ghost men's attention please I need
to talk to you right now middle of
Prayer in the morning right now what
happened tells him about the whole
murder that happened the night before
and now the Russians are looking for
blood any Moroccan blood not just the
guy so
comes ra Gman
K doesn't look like he knows a word
about crime doesn't look doesn't even
look doesn't even look like he ever
heard the word crime but he has dealt
with it in the neighborhood andash
completely completely revive the city
day after day dealing with all types of
criminals and turning them
into not just people oh yeah maybe I'll
gives some once a
month 15,000 people have be come
students from his place 15,000 what he
did is unbelievable unbelievable rabbis
di came from him the last 40 50 years so
anyway he he is this is the beginning
stages this is still he's still young
he's probably 20 something years old he
hears about this Russians are looking
for blood he he stops he leaves the
place the people continue to pray and he
goes to the center where all of these
Russians are yelling screaming mamash
like sharks and piranhas looking for
blood he comes to them he starts
speaking to them in yish he doesn't know
Russian but he speaks to them similar
they understand them and he starts
giving them
the understanding that he's on their
side yeah you're right going to make
sure he goes to jail he gets punished
and this and that they see a rabbi
talking their language okay sounds good
the mayor is telling them to say all
types of things as if no don't do
nothing yeah he knows they're not going
to listen to this may who's this may he
doesn't know what he's talking about you
have to tell these people that you're
behind them so
now they are listening to this
this I don't even know if they ever saw
a in their life but this is talking
their language he says you guys want to
do it let's go come with me top the
whole all of them dozens of them are all
following rman where they follow he
walks to the sh the sh is already packed
on now double the amount of
people he gets them all they're all
excited what's going on here we're in a
Sho this Rabbi is with us whatever and
then he gets on there and he starts
giving a
m and he says this to them surely the
guy that did this is gonna we're going
to make sure he goes to
prison but I want to make sure that you
all know
anyone
here that spills Jewish blood whether
his or
otherwise I promise you you will not
finish this year
alive at that moment all of the tension
all of the heat all of the
anger nothing why they knew he meant
business they knew that holy man they
never saw before was saying the
truth show me how
many puppy dog rabbis are willing to say
such a thing tell a bunch of people that
are criminals that they're not going to
finish off the year and mean
it but that's how he dealt with them and
that's how he got them to change and
that's how he got many of them to do
chuva and change the whole Community
changed the whole Community another time
he goes I believe he went to uh England
land England I believe it was and he
sees a couple of um guys Israeli guys
walking and they say how are you how are
you and he uh says to the one of the
guys says to
them listen I got this non-jewish
girlfriend that
uh she wants I want to convert
her the RAB help
me on the spot of Gman says to him I'll
answer you in a moment but I want to
deal with something else for a
second he says aren't you ashamed of
yourself that you're telling me that
you're dating a non-jewish woman you an
Israeli Safari Israeli nonetheless are
dating a non-jewish girl and you tell me
about it like it's not a big deal when
your ancestors died to be Jewish you're
not even embarrassed to say say that
you're with a non-jewish
girl don't you think you've crossed all
lines on the spot he tells him no sugar
coating no maybe she has a Jewish n
nonsense 100% truth to his
face the guy didn't know where to bury
himself from the embarrassment but he
all he had to say is like Rabbi listen
all the guys here doing it all the guys
he goes where they meeting all these
non-jewish girls he says there's a night
club for Israelis apparently a lot of
non-jewish girls like to come
too he says I'm going to see you there
tonight Gman was called the Disco Rabbi
he used to go to
discos and get people to do chai inside
the Disco I don't believe anybody in the
world today could do that not then and
not today and you go into a disco 100%
you end up sinning every single sin in
the Tora just like is you have to be is
Beyond
Comprehension you have to be an angel
among men to to to do what he did you
have to be an angel among men somebody
that's not like that for sure goes to a
nightclub doesn't come out doesn't come
out he was called the Disco Rabbi they
did a whole documentary about him in the
1970s he says to the guys oh that's
where the guys are I'll see you there
tonight he goes there that night he goes
up to the DJ
Booth he says may I he takes the
microphone from the DJ and he starts
telling the people it'sa I'm G to do
let's do a blessing for kanuka he brings
a manora a bunch of Israelis are saying
amen unbelievable life unbelievable life
unbelievable Kusa what he did is
called it's it's it's the it's it's a
being having like nerve having like no
sh shame when it comes to the issues of
Kusa of Holiness he goes on the states
takes the mic you know ask the guy for
mic gives him the mic and talks to them
about blessing of of kanuka and then he
starts talking to the guy he says guys I
want to talk to all the men I'm sorry
women I'm sorry ladies I can't talk to
you now I want to talk to all the men
tonight in the back come meet me all the
guys have no idea what this is even
doing there but they're inspired okay
let's go talk to the rabbi he sits there
and he talks to them until 3:00 in the
morning till 3:00 in the
morning talking to them about into
marriage telling them to telling them
what needs to be done get out of this
garbage a couple of the guys that are
100%
criminals say to the rabbi please save
us you have woken us up tonight but
there's no way for us to go to is
there's no way for us to stay here
because we're in crime wherever we go go
you have to help us to get out of here
we know the now he says don't worry I'll
take you he takes him to Rabbi in France
they
become they
become with what with lies with shooing
no we tell them it's okay to drive on
Shabbat absolutely not 100% imit no
questions asked a lot of people try to
personify him as as if he's like a Care
Bear uh he doesn't care if you sin he
doesn't care if you violate Shabbat this
complete lies there's no way that a
person would have such success
such living a lie the amount of Truth is
unbelievable so that is one of the
inspiring uh books that I'm reading
right now on Shabbat so that's one of
the things a person should add to their
life okay next
question the Pentagon is apparently
going to release documents about
aliens I'm sorry
okay the secular world seems to be
raving about this what does the T say
about supposed aliens are all these
UFOs uh spotted just
or uh to my knowledge and I remember
reading it in a book called The Coming
Revolution or also named the uh science
comes of age by by AR zamir Co the head
of
UT in his book he writes that the Torah
does not discuss life on other planets
I.E
aliens it doesn't say they exist and it
doesn't reject their existence but
nonetheless it's not mentioned because
they have no impact on us meaning that
there's no UFOs coming from from Pluto
and flying over here in in in you know
Over Texas and mowing your lawn that's
not happening that's not happening and
anyone that knows a little bit about it
knows that most of that stuff was
complete fabrication people were doing
it uh and they were excuse me they were
caught doing
it but there is no doubt that there are
certain uh images that people see uh
that are uh
unusual uh they're flying they're going
into the ocean then back into the air
surely there are you know there are
sites that are there uh is that
necessarily uh aliens from different
planets no it doesn't need to be aliens
from other planets it could simply be
different creatures that live in this
world that are just simply not common
whether it's not common to see them
because they're Angels or demons or
they're simply not common as far as
they're not like a zebra or a lion but
nonetheless they exist in the world
because because there are many creatures
that are mentioned in the tah that used
to populate the world that don't
necessarily exist anymore uh so again I
personally think that many of these
things are fake altogether uh but the
ones that are real could very well be a
group of angels a group of demons a
group of uh different types of creatures
that exist in the world but are not
usually uh uh things that people see
because Hashem doesn't allow people to
see them
but sometimes hasem wants people to see
them for different reasons and therefore
he does this but uh surely there's no
place in the to that I'm aware of that
uh mentions uh any of these uh aliens
from different planets that are coming
to this world is there uh uh life in
other planets uh as far as if you're
talking about there's aliens and so on
no uh not not uh uh not uh to say mean
no like they don't exist but no it's not
going to be like something that's uh
going to impact our life uh but there
are other uh uh other creations in the
world that if you saw them they would
look like aliens to us because they look
nothing like us and that is mentioned in
thear and in the Z uh especially if you
look at the uh that discussed the life
of where he brought some of these
Creations to his kingdom uh very very
small people or people with multiple
heads or unique type of animals so there
are uh there are creatures that uh exist
uh that to us would look like aliens but
again they're not aliens they live in
the world they're just not coming
they're not coming uh there is uh a lot
of the things that people see uh in
movies uh that with the exception of all
the promiscuity and the filth uh you
know a lot of the stuff that you see
actually has a source in the tah it's
not
Innovations it's not creativity it's
just somebody hearing the story from
somebody that at one point learned to
learned the mid for example uh the whole
issue of uh people that turn to wolves
that's in the Tor Benyamin one of the 12
tribes the sadik that never sinned one
of the four people that never sinned he
would turn into a wolf he would turn
into a wolf uh the The Hulk the green
monster okay the uh that is an Essence a
copy of Y also one of the 12 tribes he
just wouldn't turn green but he was huge
he was powerful and he would Roar and
Destroy things and so on very similar to
the character of
Hulk uh Flash the the one that runs
really fast also not an innov not a
creation At All by people people but
rather a innovation of what's written in
the Torah about naali also one of the
tribes who used to run very very fast
and was able to uh go back and forth
from Egypt to uh in a matter of seconds
or minutes or whatever it was uh so we
see that the uh many of these characters
are in the tah uh and uh a lot of the
things that you see on uh on uh on
screen is simply a innovation of what's
written in the tah uh the whole issue of
U big uh monsters and so on also in the
Tora also in the T if you look at the uh
uh the mid that talk about the uh uh the
great whale that lives in the in the
world or
the which is enormous animal bigger than
even uh your
dinosaurs uh or uh the uh just a lot of
different creatures that live in the
world or the Phoenix is what they called
in English it's a special bird that was
blessed by Noah and uh it was blessed to
live forever so every Thousand Years the
mid says it lives for a thousand years
it burns up and then resurrects it and
it lives for another thousand years and
resurrects it and thousand years that
lives in the world it's this beautiful
bird uh that was blessed by Noah uh and
there all typ of creatures in the world
so if you see those creatures or perhaps
some of the Angels uh that hasem has in
the world or some of the Demons or some
of the mikim or there's so many
different Creations in the world that
surely these will all look to people
like aliens from a different planet
because they're not used to seeing such
things but uh I I promise you that uh
it's not from other planets but rather
it's if it's real it's from our planet
it exists in the world and it's
mentioned in the
Torah okay one more question and uh then
uh we're uh going to be done I'm kind of
tired
um Rosalie my mother is Christian how do
I honor my mother I'm not a Christian
and I follow
to uh well honoring your mom is a if you
a uh uh uh you want to honor your mom
there's no problem to honor your mom as
long as she doesn't tell you to violate
the toah there's no problem to honor
your mom as long as she doesn't violate
the to so if she tells you to go get her
something from the store if she tells
you to help her in some certain ways
that are reasonable if uh she uh if if
she's the sure you could help her for
sure and you could honor her for sure
but if she tells you to desecrate the
TOA if she tells you to pray to some
statue or some yos or something like
that you're not allowed to honor her now
why would you honor her if let's say for
example a person converts to Judaism uh
do they have to honor their parents uh
that are not Jewish yes they do have to
honor their parents that are not Jewish
but not because of the mitvah of
honoring your parents because they're no
longer considered your parents they're
considered your biological parents but
not your spiritual parents so there is
no Mitzvah of honoring your parents in
that case for a convert so why do you
still have to honor your parents you
honor them because of for gratitude
gratitude for them helping you bringing
you to the world gratitude for them
helping you financially and feeding you
all those years changing your diaper uh
educating you and so on and so forth you
owe them gratitude and for that you have
to honor them uh so uh a person needs to
honor their parents in that case and
it's very very important for a person to
know that honoring a parent is a
obligation both on a Jew and njw both a
Jew and a non-jew and a person needs to
Simply uh help their parents as much as
they can do what their parents do as
much as they
can um as long as it's not against the
Torah now there's a uh famous
story that the ad Al wrote uh in his
about uh about honoring your parents
where uh he says that uh the holy rabbi
by of
shwa uh was a uh uh was asked AAL
question about aun women that their
husbands go to war and they don't come
back but nobody knows if the husband
died or not
now was not sure about the uh how
to here so he said he has to go to T to
go and speak to his uh his his father
who's the great
sadik wants to go talk to his father as
a
giant and talk to him so when he got the
son he uh came to the uh it was went to
a Jewish uh hotel motel and he asked the
uh the uh the guy there to give him
the
specifically the uh
section
specifically I need to study it so the
helper the helper of
of
says why are you reviewing the section
of if you obviously already know that
the whole issue of a is in a section
of of it's a different section
why you
reviewing of different
section he says because when I come and
see
myad my father and we're going to start
discussing T we're going to start
discussing surely we are going to
disagree surely we are going to look at
things differently and I have to learn
all of the laws and remind myself of all
of the laws of honoring my
father now so when we
disagree I know how to
behave I know how to behave and still
honor my father according to the toah
because even if you're talking T you
have to honor your parents you have to
honor your parents I need to know
all and for the next several
hours learned all the entire section
that talks about honoring
parents and then he said okay now I'm
ready to go see my father now I'm ready
to go see my
father why a person knows that it's not
always easy to honor your parents
especially when it comes to the issues
of spirituality but needless to say
you're obligated to do it obligated to
do it obviously there's a bigger
obligation for a Jew and more details of
the obligation I should say for the Jew
the the
non-jew but nonetheless there is an
obligation and believe it or not one of
the sources in thear that talks about
honoring parents uh where we need to
learn uh honoring parents is from a nju
is from a non-jew there was a non-jew
that was a merchant and the Jewish
people were looking for a stone that
they lost from the of the G the Coen Gad
has the that has all the stones one
special stone for each tribe
representing each tribe and one of the
stones fell and got lost and they need
to replace this Stone but it wasn't easy
to find such a stone and they find out
there's one guy that has this Stone so
they come and they say okay they're
ready to pay whatever price he wants
they're ready to pay whatever price he
wants said want to buy the stone you
have the stone he says yeah I have the
stone okay I want to buy it how much you
want it he says 100,000 you got it no
problem no negotiation whatever you want
we got you cash we brought the
money so he goes and he tries to get the
stone he sees that the stone is in a box
right under where his father is
sleeping he comes back to the he says
I'm sorry I can't sell you the stone he
said why not says because I can't sell
Stone my uh I'm not going to wake up my
father
no come on I'm going to pay you 100,000
you'll lose the business I'm sorry I'll
lose the business okay okay fine 200,000
200,000 no no no they thought in the
beginning maybe he just wants more money
we pay 200,000 no 400,000 no 500,000 no
a million no after they offered them so
much they see the guys Relentless they
gave
up they gave
up shortly
later the father woke up
and he came back to the to the said okay
I'm I'm ready to S you the
stone oh okay here you go the million oh
no no I don't want the million we agreed
100,000 that's what I want and they so
wow this guy is a righteous noi a sadik
he really did it for the honor of his
father he didn't want to wake up his
father wow so they gave him the the
money original
agreement because because he was so
righteous blessed him the
says that that year he had a red cow
born in his a uh as part of his cattle
and as you would have it am was looking
for a new red cow a new red cow there's
only been I believe eight or nine
throughout all of history they were
looking for one of
them and they found out he has it he has
it
dtina was the name and uh they went and
they uh they came to him and say how
much do you want for the red cow cuz
they knew he could ask for whatever
price he wants and they have to give it
to him because there's no other red cows
you can't go to different town get a
there's no red cows it has to be
completely red never uh have any burden
on them not even two hairs that are not
red all types of specific things how
much do you want he says all I want is
whatever I was supposed to make on that
diamond meaning the difference the
difference that I you offered me a lot
more that's what I want for the red
C comes the and say learn learn how to
honor your parents from him look how he
honored his parents and Hashem blessed
them Hashem blessed you don't want to
wake up his father even if it meant
losing all the
money look how much he honor his parents
we have to learn how to honor parents
from somebody like that so needless to
say all of us are obligated to honor our
parents again as long as they do not
tell us to violate the T if they tell us
to violate the T we're not allow it to
honor them that's why there's a verse in
the T it says honor your mother and your
father observe Shabbat I am God why
what's the whole thing says honor your
mother and your
father because it's one of the Ten
Commandments initially it says honor
your father and your mother here it says
honor your mother and your father why
because we don't want you to think that
honoring your father is more important
than honoring your mother or vice versa
so one place in the T says honor your
father and your mother and the other
place says honor your mother and your
father opposite but nonetheless because
you spend more time with your mother you
may get too used to her and disrespect
her so honor her honor your parents okay
observe Shabbat that's the next part of
the verse observe Shabbat okay observe
Shabbat both of them are Commandments I
am God
I know you're God who else is telling me
this I know you're God what's the
point telling there of honoring your
parents there's the rest of the mitv
such as keeping
Shabbat always remember he is God
meaning if your parents whether your
mother or your father tell you to
violate Shabbat or any other mitvah
you're not allowed to honor them anymore
because I am God I come before everybody
else I come before you have to honor
them so long as they don't tell you to
violate my MIT so long as they don't
kill the connection between me and you
which is the MIT so a person that
understands the significance of honoring
parents will work on it and it's a very
difficult Mitzvah sometimes it's a very
difficult mitvah but nonetheless a
person needs to work on themselves and I
think again the biggest uh thing uh that
uh helps with all all mitv is humility
the more humble a person is the uh the
better he will be at doing mitv and even
more so the more he respects others the
uh the less likely he is to to get angry
at them and to disrespect them why if
you give your mom your father your
brother your kids everybody else you
give everybody honor you're not going to
get you're not going to cross the line
and embarrass them why because who does
a usually a person get angry at who does
a person get angry at gets angry at
people he
disrespects yells at his wife yells at
his husband yells at people yells at
this but if a cop came up to you pulled
you over you going to start yelling at
them most likely not most likely not why
because you honor the cup if a judge
you're in a court judge yells at you
even you're going to yell back
absolutely not why you honor him you
you're scared of him you honor him
you're scar of him
right same thing with your wife same
thing with your husband same thing with
anybody else that's important to you if
you honor them you will not disrespect
them you will not get angry at them even
why because you're honor you're too busy
honoring them so person if they're busy
honoring their parents surely they're
not going to disrespect them and get
angry at them and lose their cool with
them but this again it's something you
have to have in your mind on a regular
basis to um to uh uh to to think about
it and meditate over it and and practice
it even uh before you actually get to
the point of having to do
it uh last
question
um what's best book website to read
