#WineWisdom: How to Pour Your Four Cups for Pesach

There is going to be a lot of wine pouring into glasses this season. It's Pesach. So, I figured we'll teach how to pour a proper glass of wine. If you're a lefty, like me, you make sure the person is on your right when you pour the glass. And you hold the bottle like this. Why? For two reasons. One, so the other person doesn't see the back yucky label and they see the pretty label. And number two, when you hold it like this, your hand is firm and steady. The tip we try to balance it. It should be in the middle. And we pour slowly. Not too fast. Slow. Let it pour. And then you come up. You twist. Like this. You don't need a plastic on the table cloth. Look. Nothing happened. And this is how we pour. So, if you want to do it the proper way, the wine way, you start with the oldest woman and then you move clockwise. It doesn't matter who sits next to them. Could be the two-year-old. Okay, the two-year-old. Could be the youngest son, the youngest girl, the father, and you start clockwise and you keep on pouring. Um you keep on pouring until you get to yourself. Give it the time it deserves. Look at the label. Smell the wine while you pour it. Take a few minutes, enjoy it, and then when you drink it, it has a whole new meaning. Give the wine the respect it deserves. And remember, the more we taste, the more we know.
