Feliz Cinco de Mayo. It's next week
Tuesday. It has a special symbol for
Mexicans, but for us
for me, it's the beginning of the
summer.
>> [music]
>> We all know margarita, right? And we
know that margarita needs tequila.
But mezcalita
is a completely different drink. The
biggest difference is
>> [music]
>> this is made with mezcal. It has that
beautiful
smoky nose to it that I just love. So,
now
we pour.
Pour it in. If you want it to taste like
I want it to taste, start with fresh
squeezed orange juice, oranges.
And we do around 2 oz.
So, now we have mezcal and orange juice.
What's next? Cut up a lime.
Squeeze half of it.
Traditionally, for a mezcalita, you'll
use a product that's called Tajin. Tajin
is not kosher, so I thought of my way
how we can make our own kosher Tajin.
Take salt, grind up some salt.
Tajin is smoky and chili, so what I did,
thanks to Mahi, I took the honey mustard
sriracha,
and we took the king salmon rub, which
has a little smoke smoky peppery, and
this has
sriracha. So,
we dump it in there.
Un poquito. Hopefully, it tastes as good
as I dreamed it would.
There you go. We have so many spices
from the lime,
>> [music]
>> all these different spices. It smells
delicious. So, now we rub the lime
around the rim of the glass.
And we dip it in.
Make a beautiful
rim.
So, let's make some
Mahico.
Look, I I know you guys don't have
patience. So, we did a very small sample
version. Of course, you should do it
double or triple, whatever I did over
here. Just have some fun. Try it for
[music] yourself. I think you'll love
it. Let me know how it was. And you know
the rule. The more we taste,
the more we know.
Margarita is good.
Not phenomenal.
This is really nice.
Where are my tacos?
