Jewish community
expl the expo. So, first of all, Isaac
did all the marketing. I was just there
to assist
um the marketing. It was really Isaac
running his his WhatsApp which was
pretty amazing actually and then we try
to you know solve it with some branding
some cool looking graphics just to make
it looks like something very special is
happening. Wow. So let's take a walk
around. First of all very important the
Eid and the ble these are very important
things. Now let's uh let's walk into the
main area and uh keep talking. So let's
hear some insights here. So, uh, Mati
came to Isaac and Mati says, "You know,
the communities are so separate. How can
we bring them all together? Let's make a
trade show." And Isaac being the premier
event planner of the town, he did Yalde,
he did other things. He said, "We're
doing a trade show." And then all the
wonderful, but I don't get it. You can
come in here, too. One sec. One second.
Miy has a business on his own, right?
Correct. So, how how does he have time
for it? So, I think Isaac had a little
more time than Mati had in this process
because Isaac's in the middle of
transitioning. So, if people want to
share a business, make a partner, he's
the perfect guy for it, but he put uh
they both put tremendous kus in calling
people, getting people to come, just
generally going around from business to
business, making sure everybody knows
that there's a possibility that they
should have a booth here. So, look at
this place. This place is packed. Every
single inch is taken. People are begging
for booths, but there's uh no time. So
um Isaac and Mati came to my office with
this grand idea and uh we're trying to
figure out how to do it. Which venue
baram they grew out of the last venue
and now they have this venue. This fell
on their hands. I'm not even sure who it
was. Someone um called them and he was
doing the the lighting here and he's
like hey it's a perfect place. Isaac
came down. It was amazing. Endless room
here. So at the end of the day we all
came.
Wow. Now,
we just we made this branding. We hope
that it could last from year to year.
This branding is uh you know, it's
pretty cool. I hope almost like a
nightclub, but still fun, but still
businesslike. So, we found that little
perfect middle. Exactly. It's a It's
officially a little bit real estate. Not
fully real estate, but a little bit real
estate. Yeah. So, people got confused in
the beginning because at one point it
was the business show and then it became
into the real estate expo and well, they
just wanted people to know if they
should really come. So they made it a
little bit more specific, but they
didn't really care as long as enough
Yiddisha businesses came together to
make something important. Wow. And uh
Lisa Isaac doing his statuses every day
on uh we wanted to get the other
community. So we had to do online
advertising. We've served over 400,000
ads.
400,000 ads on Facebook. Yeah. Yeah. We
reached 44,000 Jews in Montreal. Wow.
Wow. I don't think those are the not too
many are going with the blat. Exactly.
So, um, leisa, you know, people are
coming. The the attendees list is full.
How did it go with the broader
community?
So, look, the jumped on board. They were
very smart. They knew right away this is
going to be an important thing. So, most
know about shows. Yeah. I think in New
York it's see it and they're waiting.
Why don't we have such a thing, you
know? Mhm. So when Isaac said we're
doing it, Lameisa like people said we're
doing it. I was so impressed. District
bagel uh futurery mitsuyan sushi time
supper tar supper club they all said
yeah we're coming we're going to serve.
We're here. Wow. And it shows that they
understood the value of what's being
offered over here. Wow. Wow. And it's
major because the community took it on
and understood the value and said we're
willing to come on. Now the message was
really multiplied. Now everybody's
saying what is this? how to go. People
are calling us for booths. It's too
late. Next year we'll get double the
size and we'll fill it up with
everybody. Wow. You know, did you
believe it's going to happen in the
beginning? Didn't you think it's
extreme?
No. I knew if Isaac and Mati are going
to take it on, it's going to happen. The
question is, will they make money? So,
that we don't know yet, you know. But
the Isaac said he's doing it this year.
He He's not expecting to make any
doesn't care if he makes money. He wants
to create a business for Montreal where
everyone can get together. And I think
he did. I mean, we're going to see it.
We're going to see it on uh Tuesday, but
I mean, we're just seeing people
registering. Every minute there's
another regist reg uh registration. So,
you know, it's moving. How many people
do you think are going to attend? I
think you're going to have about 2,000
people here. They want to make sure this
place is popping. People are happy. They
have anything they need, and there's
nothing in short supply. So, Lisa, I
mean, anytime I call Isaac, I say, "Asa,
what about doing this?" We're going to
do it, and we're going to do it better.
You know? Yeah. And he's doing it all
the way. All the way. No, Isaac's uh not
not uh not cheaping out on this event.
Yeah. So, you know, I'm pretty excited.
I'm curious. I see all the different
ideas people have. Really cool ideas. I
love that this is this is what Montreal
is all about to show that we're really
business people, you know. It's not just
down. We're in our own little section of
Montreal. We can deliver. You know,
interestingly, I have a few friends that
decided they want to come here from New
York. Really? Yeah. They should come.
That's a few friends. They they have
friends here. They did business in. They
want to come. Are these guy can these
people do business in Montreal? Yeah.
Okay. Then then they should come for
sure. And they wanted to come. They know
the people and they know the market and
they want to come. Yeah. Yeah.
What else? What else do you want to talk
about? We have a lot a lot to talk
really. Um so we're going to leave it by
this today and we're going to meet you
Ma the show. Have a wonderful day at
Mori.
