MIN TORAH PORTION - PARASHAT TOLADOT פרשת תולדות — 20

hey shalom shalom shalom it's um in israel um i think 30 minutes [Music] let's see we're hour before shabbat here in israel in jaffa um so thank you uh for all of you that coming back will join me uh uh soon uh it started to be a little bit hard to do this on uh 4 p.m uh israeli time so we just decided to to change it today to uh 3 30 israeli time but of course we're going to to let you know uh next time what it's going to be um before sorry for the last minutes changing um so i'm going to say uh before that i'm going to to start speaking about our powershell that if you want to bless anyone that this torah um uh lesson will be uh for his healing for i don't know for something uh that we will say that this uh uh we will do this lesson for him so please write me here on the chat uh and i will i ha i will add couple of people of mine that need healing uh and we will read their name and we'll say and pray for them all of us uh together so today we're talking about parashat tolador it's a very important parasha about jacob and two brothers that we just read in the last portion that is that it's hack is praying uh a lot a lot a lot 20 years to have oh just switch the the camera again again yeah again again can you switch again switch again yeah uh what we just finished yeah so so uh we just started and i started to say and i think people see you right now too so i will just say that um uh in the last portion i started to say that it is praying for 20 years that you will have a baby and we starting to understand that she is very special as we learn like salah and she speak with god so in the beginning of our persian we can see in uh verse 23 so god tell her and the lord said to her two nations are in your wand and two uh kingdoms will spread from your uh from your body so uh it's very interesting that this is kind of a sign for what's going to be happened in the in the in our story uh because after it uh god tell her um that and the elder will serve the younger so we see that god kind of telling her uh what's going to be when we read it we can't understand what what's going to be happened but uh we know that in this portion um so we read that asap is going uh um he birthed before yakov there was twins and then yakov came after him and catching his a cave we call it a cave eliezer how it's called in english oh you know this is the top of the foot hey don't make me a dictionary brother sorry yeah yeah yeah i was born here sorry so so it just catches is uh his back of his leg and in hebrew it's called a kev and that's why uh the top of the leg is the bone is the bone on top of the foot it's the bone on top of the foot yeah so that's why his name is uh yakov and we will see that we can see in the persian that there is like they're very uh different like assad is uh one that's going to to uh to hack um is going to hunt han sorry yeah he's going to hunt and uh jakob is staying home with his mom uh and then in the tent and learning and we know that from is like the word tom it's also uh so what does it mean a person ish is is a person tom um i would say once again your chef volume that sits in the tent right like you said just now yeah that he sat appearing in in different ways in the tent for sarah and then for iska um so we understand that yakov learning uh a lot of things from his mom uh about faith and in the other hand the son was walking in the field and hunting and we see in the portion that it's wroten that rivka loves yakov and it's love itself because he bring food um and of course even though that you see that rivkah is a totally mother of um of uh of avesave also you know see that um she cares for him she's happy when he marries when he marries uh uh someone good the these these are the basic stories from the from the person you see that she just saw the truth okay it's not about choosing between parents who loves whom i was so young so isaac the second he saw the full situation so that's why the blessing didn't have a conflict because suddenly he saw the full situation it's not about choosing between his children uh who you love more it's about it's about what is who is supposed to bring the message of god to the world yeah so so she understand it because she's staying with him and and from a very young uh age she she she's and and ever something to say about what you said but we will we will uh get to it i think soon and just the stories yeah yeah so they are they're coming uh they're uh getting older it's kaki is almost uh he is feeling is getting closer to the to the date uh to the age of uh that his father's uh passed away uh the tavlan pastor way and when you know when he came to this edge he became blind and there is a couple of reason uh that that the bible say why and then um he said i want to bless assad talking to himself he's saying to himself go give me uh go hunt and give me uh a myth then i will eat and then i will bless you and rivka going to ya to jaco telling him uh let's like act like you are a sob and you will get the blessing yakov getting the blessing instead of asav um and then like there is a big drama that is crying to god and asking uh for his uh i'm sorry for stopping you i'm sorry for stopping yeah yeah yeah i don't know i am stopping it because there is a detail of the story that that we missed okay and it's a very very critical uh part of the story is that there was a lot before that happened there was a situation this is also in our portion this is before um the situation that itself was very hungry and eso and then he saw that yakov he cooked a special soup okay a special red soup um and then he was so hungry told him give me your soup you know i want your food so jacob came to him and told me what would he give me in return so he said i know i'm dead hungry so bottom line he tells him he tells them sell me the position of the oldest son yeah give him sell me that position and he's and he told him what is that you know and and and in that situation he like he sold him his position but it's a position i won't go into the philosophy because i would wait until you finish the story but we would come back to it soon to this philosophy because it's connected to the blessing also this story is connected also to the blessing so finish and then i would you're uh you're totally right it's it's a very important part and of course uh because we will speak about it uh uh later and thank you for for uh uh for for saying it because it yeah it's come before that he sell him uh uh to be the first one uh and and and then of course they're coming to the advanced yeah the oldest dollars and uh of course uh we see that after uh jacob is getting uh the blessing instead of isabel is crying and asking god please give me something uh what can we do what please give me bless me with something and it's blessing him for something else and from this moment we will speak about the rest in the next portion and now we will go deeper in and and so i would i'll try a moment i want to say that this uh uh portion uh uh uh lesson is for i would say they just wrote me and i i promised that before we will start i will say the names so uh what did he cheat over here what we got the blessing and cheating what what what is this whole situation right like blessing needs to come from from a true place if you don't have the right tension so what blessing is here is here so we understand that there is a lot of a deeper situation that we need to understand over here because and and over here i want to go to the letters of hebrew and connect between the both stories of selling the the ownership um um and and uh that when they serve so the ownership to to yakov he actually didn't sell him a position he sold him the responsibility and this is something very very critical to come and say because if people always seek for positions it's not about the position it's about the mission the position it's a frame for for for the picture and the picture is is is what is your mission in the situation and over here it's general responsibility for the whole world it's general responsibility that this world would live its purpose in a good way that this world will be good that this that that the world the world would want to be good and the goal of the world is to be good and that every human would bring his maximum with good outcomes out of itself and the whole world as a complex would bring the good out of itself this is the responsibility and and this is where the blessing needs to come to because the vessels needs to come to has responsibility hey so mistake that um isaac's father while showing him he has the vessels to to to to to to run the world but it's not about it's not about running it's about having the responsibility it's not about the position it's about being the mission it's about in being in the mission because in true situation you gave up your position for your own hunger but if you would have a true responsibility it won't happen and and this is and this is and this is uh the place um um maybe maybe maybe maybe here um i would pass it to you you know we could go into more ideas you know maybe we could speak also about the field you know where did isaac exactly um have a mistake because even though he was blind how can't he see you know the true situation and and we could see that isaac is identified always with the field yes yeah here could i continue a bit is it fine brother yeah your brother yeah yeah it just did disconnect for me now i hear you yeah okay so could i i would see over here that there is let's go back to abraham our first father may peace be on him our first father abraham that he he um um he called the place of the temple mountain because his whole connection his whole relationship with god with hashem was through at the true ideology what is the true ideology for the world now isaac connected to hashem to god in in in in in the way of the field he called the place of the temple a field because field is already a place where you go where we ready go into the details you're already in the dialogue you're already in the process and he saw also in a so the place of process is our place of dialogue he has communication with the world he has experience he's gaining experience and this is what you need and the bottom line you need a person that has the right experience that knows how to be interacted with the world the right way and and through that you know and then he would get the right spin and he would know what to do but but what we learn over here is that the highest place that this is the place that jacob called and this is the blessing that he got he called the place house so there's mountain there's field and there's house and this is the blessing because the blessing is to have the values that these are the values that you have dialogue around these are the example that every person could get inspiration from and could in his private life build the right combination and bring the right proportions but but the veil the values the essence of the values of redemption is house is home and and and and and this is the blessing of responsibility this is this is the point that that we see that our father jacob brought to the world and this is where the blessing is the blessing is where we are moved by full responsibility and we express it first of all in our private home with with whoever god gave us to bring life to the world and and and and and with our siblings with our parents with our brothers with our children this is our first place of fixing ourselves in a true way every person amen and and i and with our wives yeah yeah yeah you're right and and this is like a big responsibility and i felt like when when you read the story you feel like uh um uh esso uh is afraid from it and i feel like you know it's like someone for me it's very tragic a tragic tragedy it's a very sad story because you see someone um that is like you don't understand he's doing like a very bad things in his life and you see it a lot in the in the portion before that he is like he he killed and he is taking two um it's called like a bad bad ladies to be his wife and it's like he's doing like a very bad things in the world and and and you know sometimes when when when you sin you you don't understand uh you know when when you see some people that that don't uh believe in god so sometimes you can you can uh think like why everything is is good why they live in good life and i am as a believer i'm so hard for me sometimes you see like examples of people that don't believe in god on like very uh very bad bad behavior and you see that everything is work good for them in this world so uh that's what i think happened with assad that he uh didn't understand that this thing is going to be happen for him and when it's happened when i saw it that this is happening to to him that he lose uh the blessing for me it's a very sad story because if i'm going back to the beginning of the story you see like a son that i for i think didn't get the love uh like the the other son from his mother that's what i felt that's what that's what i felt i felt like that for us uh now as you know we understand at the end that itself will be uh will get the blessing of the nations and jacob will get the blessing of israel um so for me i think that that now yeah yeah so i just say that that today that today we are living in the generation and and that's why i'm doing this uh this uh portion lesson i think that we are living the generation that this is the time for the peace between uh jacob and assaf like um and and and for me it's like the moment that all the world needs to to to give to get to to have a peace because yeah uh we understand that jacob was uh the one that needed to be to choose to be uh the leader uh uh and we understand it and we know why it was it was it was the one but it's only because of responsibility and that's okay yeah yeah but it's talking on the other hand she wants to kill him for to care for him for the future and for his children and that's whoever has responsibility that could bring the true values and not values of conflict because yeah but the other hand but in the other end you know as as a person i took it to the place of the family okay i felt like it's it's it's look like he he grew up outside of the house it's not just like this that it's wrote and that jacob is in the tent so why establishment not in the tent is this is his or her son two so where does he go okay so maybe he's different so tell him go home come home what are you doing why you are uh hunting all day come home be with me like where is the the education here amen okay okay yes yes we're blessing who are we today to judge who is who and and and with that i agree with you and that's why you know we all need to see inside of us uh um to seek for the for the jacob inside of us and and and to see how we how we know how to hug the is so inside of us in such a way that a true blessing because there's a true mission and that's that's the reason for the blessing and we know we know that we're true and love is a true reason that actually rather love is a true reason love is a reason for yourself it's the expression of the light of god yeah and we know every every other ah love you're going you're going or you're staying a little bit more you're here with us you hear me okay yes yeah but i'm losing connection would get the amen would be redeemed amen and there will be true peace that will be true that uh it would be worth it to love to be a person of goodness that that that's a blessing that we understand that that the prophet is whoever is good i love you bye-bye all right so um so i will just finish what i started to say i felt in the portion that for me that the story of assad is really sad because it feel like um a son that didn't get the good education is like behavior is very it's very bad and then you get the punishment to lose uh the blessing and and for me uh as eliezer said and according to the jewish faith you know i'm telling you every every week that we believe that in every uh aspect and and story um uh in the persian there is couple of stories it's not just a story so yeah we can take the story of jacob and esso um um to the place of the nation and israel we can take it to two persons and there is another um um way of looking on it and then that's what butters bottle said before you go that we can take this story to understand how our uh soul is working because in our body we have a self and jacob inside of us and we need to choose all the time who are we gonna we we're gonna be every day sometimes we see um the soup and we just want to eat it very fast and we're acting like like a sock and sometimes we can choose to be more like jacob that he is the one that get the blessing because his behavior not because that he was chosen you know you understand the difference because it's because it's behavior and we we need to understand it every day every day that we have assad and jacob inside of us both of them inside of us and we just need to choose every day we choose to learn we we can choose to uh which we need we can choose uh how is going to be our behavior and we can choose to live with peace in our family with our friends with our um sons and for me if i can give you um like the the last message for for today because i really need to go it's almost shabbat here is even if you feel that you are a sub and you didn't get the love uh from your family uh maybe i don't know this is what i felt uh that he didn't get the love from his family you always can uh you can always make it to va you can fix it you can come back um to god and the reason is because that even assad has inside of him jacob vanessa and he can choose and we we will see in the end of the story um a couple of portion uh um i think two think i think that the jewish people is maybe the only only people in the world that they have like one day with no uh electric uh at all and this is like something in in our generation you know to be in the way that i'm doing it right now um in a different way but today i'm just uh totally keep the shabbat and and and it's it it's kind of a blessing that i think that just after you keep shabbat once you understand you know i'm just i'm able to to look to my kids in their eyes this is something that is is very very special in those in these days in this generation to look when you speak to someone to look on him and not on your phone or and to be able to speak with someone for an hour without no uh interruption with nothing no nothing can no one can call you or something um okay i see that i just got another uh uh question for for blessing for nathanie silvierra so we will pray for her too that this lesson will be uh for her uh nathan is silviera and we will pray she just passed
