Mike Lawler honored Army veteran and longtime New City firefighter John “Jack” Coyle.

Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the life of John Jack Coyle, a devoted public servant and pillar of the new city community. Born in Nyak, New York, Jack lived a life defined by service, commitment, and quiet leadership. After graduating from NYAK High School in Southern Meth Methodist University, he proudly answered the call to serve his country in the United States Army, reflecting his lifelong dedication of protecting others. Jack's commitment to public service continued throughout his time at the New City Fire Department, where he served as a volunteer for a remarkable 70 years, making him the oldest living member at the time of his passing. Beyond his service, Jack built an impressive career in the insurance and real estate industry, building Coil and Coil, Inc. in his hometown while remaining active in community committees and being an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church in New City. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. I extend my deepest condolences to his family and loved ones, and may his memory be a blessing.
