there.
After the six day war, I decided I will
go to a place in volunteer myself. I
decided I will go to Mikdalah.
Mikdalah was the worst place in Israel.
Crime, drugs, every day the paper
problems. I walk day and night with the
youngsters in jail, in the discourse, in
the parks, in the streets. But when you
see them face to face, you see the good
people. They have a soul. They have a
feeling what happened, why they involved
in crime, why they in jail. When you
look inside, you understand they come
from broken home. They never receive
love. They never receive education. And
this make me to understand that if you
will give them love, give them
education. Give them a home. Give them
clothing, medical, they can be the best
kids. They can be lawyers and doctors in
everything.
[Music]
Each and every one of us in Israel, we
are all interconnected other. We have to
keep our eyes open and be alert. They
are our friends, our acquaintances, our
family. We have to redirect them and
explain to them what Torah is all about.
To bring them closer to Hashem, to bring
their children back to Torah, to educate
them in Torah. There are already a few
rabbis, great Torah scholars who have
merited to perform this great mitzvah,
like Rabbi Gman. What does he do? He
goes out and saves children.
Now they sit and learn Torah. I went to
see. What a pleasure.
[Music]
He brought them closer to Hashem. May
his name be praised. What an amazing
person he is, Rabbi Gman. When you see
such a person, you should recite a
blessing. If only we had more Torah
scholars and individuals so involved in
such holy matters. They are guaranteeing
the future of Torah. How fortunate they
are. I am envious of them. If only I had
such a merit.
[Music]
Amen. Amen.
[Applause]
[Music]
Amen.

I wanted him to be chief rabbi but he
refused. He said no I am doing the work
of Hashem. I don't want to be chief
rabbi no matter how much I tried to
convince him. He said I have work to do
and I was born for this purpose. This is
why I was created. He rejected the
greatness. He rejected the honor just so
that he could dedicate himself to these
students. He works hard in building up
this empire of 6,000 students. One needs
a lot of money. It requires millions.
Millions. Fortunate are the people that
support such a person. One who does so
will merit to be part of the holiness of
the nation of Israel. We are like their
mother and father. We provide them with
a home and with love.
If it means clothing them from head to
toe or providing them with medical help,
we give them whatever they need. Our
kitchens provide about 10,000 meals a
day to different institutions and soup
kitchens.
After my parents were killed in a car
accident, I felt all alone in this
world. But Rabbi Gman was there for me.
And he believed in me that I would
succeed in life. I had nothing. No
family, no friends.
Today,
I have everything. For 50 years, Rabbi
Gman has been taking care of
underprivileged children. He's provided
for their education, for their welfare.
He's enabled them to become productive
members of Israeli society.

headed. One wounded soldier was so
critically injured that doctors placed
him in a medicallyinduced coma, but had
little hope for him. Not Rabbi Gman. He
prayed for him by his bedside. He placed
a special coin from the holy lever rebi.
He placed it upon the wounded soldier's
head. The next day, miraculously, he
awoke.
You help Mikdal
to help the kids and you help Amis.
Thank you.
