Message from DPW and Mayor Steven Langert

just to knowe when I was on Oak Street somebody was actually putting leaves out into the street like he was doing his one or what have you here with me is um Jim casy assistant superintendent of Public Works and the person who is heading up our stor what would we call he's in the he's the head of the Storm Center today I asked you I asked um scoop to come down here for an important message that I'd like uh Jim to give the public I am but Mr B well that was the police dispatcher all right we're on you already introduced me I did you okay well we're out time for as you can see I have a lot of guys spreading salt and sand on the roads and uh as long as we have a little cooperation from you folks if you can park off the street in your driveway and then once you once the storm's over bring your car out and clean it off we'll get the street cleaned back up but the more the more you stay off the road the the more efficient and and better quality of uh snow removal you will see from US public works7 batter off 104 thank you all right bye well I'd like to add something one thing I'd like to add is that I I'd like to on behalf of everyone who lives in the town I'd like to thank Mr Casey for coming in today you see officially he's on vacation and well he's on vacation way it goes and well you know what your dedication to us goes far and Far and Beyond what people recognize and as the mayor I thank you for that I appreciate but thank you in order to help Mr Casey do his job and help everybody else from public Works do their job I implore everybody please stay off the streets as much as you can the the more we stay off the streets the easier it will be for Public Works to clean the streets and the faster we'll be able to drive normally on the streets thank you very much afternoon how are you today good afternoon as you can see they're gearing up yeah this this is not really water something else gearing gearing up for a long day and a long night the trucks are gone we have uh about 21 pieces of equipment out salting and sanding right now we have um we have about the same amount of equipment with plows on them we're adding some plows to a few more pieces of of equipment here in public works as you can see the snow is already coming down pretty hard if possible please stay at home please D in close by walk to shul if you can if it's possible to learn night seder at home that's great and if not I understand but again the more we do as a town the more we do as a community to help the public works the easier it will be for Public Works to help us thank you very much
