Daf Yomi Sanhedrin Daf 50 by R’ Eli Stefansky

[Music] good morning [Music] ra it's great to be back um it happens maybe every year every two years today I woke up at 710 wo there's nothing to clap about a little jet leg just a little jet leg and uh I'm here I wanted to prepare a little bit more but you'll see today's da is one of those one of those D that isar we're going to get to B and some of you going to start falling asleep and walking out on me hold it together it's gal good stuff um little rundown what happened was if you don't know yesterday I left Salt Lake City what's yesterday no not yesterday sorry Monday morning 6:00 in the morning we left Salt Lake uh we left Park City to get to Salt Lake City so we took flight number one to Chicago we got to Chicago we arrived on time 20 minutes early so we had a 4-Hour layover my wife said it's not enough time to leave the airport get your luggage drive home and record a share and come back to the airport cuz you have to be at the international flight like two 2 and a half hours before and that only gives you an hour and a half to drive from the airport which takes about a half hour find your luggage also and then come back that's an hour and but I had to do it so I ran home I run into the house sit down record take all the stuff you have to set it up right the the this take all the stuff throw back in the suitcase and run out to the to the cab so that worked and then I got to uh to Chicago we went through security I said you know what maybe the whole plan was I'll just give the shear for the for the Hebrew guys usually Hebrew comes first I'll give the when I come toel I started looking around and I see a room says it says Wellness room and there's a guy selling you know liquor right over there so I said what what's Wellness room he goes I've never been in there I don't know what it is but I have the key for it you want to go so I said yeah so I go in there it looks like a bathroom without a toilet it has a sink it has a mirror it has a place to change your baby I said this was built just for the year so I sit down in there I give a she get to Germany and uh a guy walks over to me I never met him before he says you know I used to do your sheer I did bras a and chabas but I dropped out but I want to donate something to this year okay so he he donated a very very nice amount he said I'll come but he's probably jet Le he told me he's going to be very tight he's going to try to come if he would if he came when he comes I'm not going to tell you who he is so you guys don't attack him but anyway so that that's the last night I got back here and was about 30 hour trip gave the shear in in Hebrew I thought I'm good I'm good and then I I set two alarms always cuz when it happened to me last time that I got up at 7:00 so from I started setting two alarms I said two alarms it's garnished garnished at 710 I wake up who okay so here I am what's your name FR Fran from can you no wow so we're not going to put you on camera don't don't don't zoom in on him gal don't not no not more not not more than that V how did also from K [Laughter] okay okay wow are you on that WhatsApp group you don't have WhatsApp but let's say you had WhatsApp you'd be on the WhatsApp group you would be by the way you should pass whose cookies are these meny the yours so pass it down let's go really I heard that okay give okay I just wanted to share how much you inspire me and your other T so here's the thing and that's why I'm reading this you're the most unconventional magir out there on one hand maybe it's weird to have a famous M the slopes in ski gear very weird but I did it to be M this guy yeah listen I thought about it seriously I thought about it my daughter lives in a there's no minion on a regular shavas there no friends so I have to go visit her once in a while there's no shil I'm going to have to go four or five times a year what what else should I do and then you can't you can't be in a place it's it's right there she lives in a ski resort well I'm not going to go skiing it's User it's also to be there not do it doesn't want you not so I went three hours a day that's it I gave Shear until 1:00 in the morning 1 in the afterno when have to prepare for the Israelis gave the shear 1:00 I got into the slopes not so I had the same many yet at the same time the's legendary today in particular where you made a whole stop in your house just to give the she was inspiring I had a difficult day today I was not feeling well I'm feeling very unmotivated to do anything I was laying in bed most of the day and watching YouTube yet I managed to get up the courage to do the D because you show how it's done keep it up name withheld I wrote that myself please keep this Anonymous there's another one when I saw the clip of you playe especially Anonymous sprinting Al Alan is right here with us for coming the our fathers Ah that's why you're here no is that how you say it because it's on two different lines by Leon Welter for the Speedy release of benil Esther G Rosenfeld from Jew and participant of mdy has been incarcerated in prison for too longes of the dedicated in honor of Adam Rodman and Steven Mandel may they see much success in their lives and familyi editors yeah the editors were up many nights till 3:4 in the morning to them Kazi who crazy times came and uh he did all the not only did he do the shm online but I don't know if you're watching the shear he actually flew from Phoenix to Salt Lake for a few hours just to say hello and to do the shear over there live this is very sad I hope I keep it together over [Music] here's grandson you recall a piece of granite fell on his head a few months ago when was playing with the table and it fell on him have and the should have a lot of is today breakfast in honor of's return to ra Cohen TJ Barry seagull Elvis skur Bar M Penny gild berer Goldberg all of you you know never mentioned that oi and the they bought a Yad for the sa I keep on forgetting to mention they bought a silver y you know the pointer to [Music] the many of the for all the work they do so it's a super simple Su today so please just because it's so simple doesn't mean you should fall asleep try to anticipate what's going on here we [Music] have everybody agrees these are the four mes of BZ but what's the most severe one according to T then comes then comes then comes what's the what's the most severe as say if a person let's say two two different he did two different a and which one does he get he gets the more severe one so person which one he gets according to is the most Sever and then comes and then let's say person and so over here we also have another between the two bottom ones and two top ones T so today's Su is all about figuring out which one is the most severe but in doing so let's see if I can get there there's a lot of stuff here oh this is the whole it's very very simple the says SK is more let me I'll just um zoom in here so you could appreciate the the different misas the guy has hot lead coming out of his mouth on the here he goes is spilling the hot lead and this guy has a stone on him and S he doesn't have his head anymore he's holding it like a helium balloon on the side K since he's a potato it's hard to choke a guy so they the bottom of his potato and then you have yeah okay so thear is going to tell us real quickly that Skil is more severe than why because that's the the that you give to here is then what's the what's the actual in other words it's the worst than the worst there's nothing worse than but each thing that thear is going to bring has a practical difference and this is a little less practical than the rest but at the end of the day this guy is doing the worst thing the number one worst thing which is to not believe in the to deny the existence of the the Creator the means the the most important thing that we believe in that he's for instance this is not according to everybody then we'll do according toim but it's the same ideas over here is more than why because you give it to aasen that was M the daughter of a that was m and what's so bad about that she's m the name of her father her father people curse him in the street they'll say look what you did this is the girl you brought up K is less severe than s why because the people ofas they get and so what's so bad about IRAs because you have to burn everything they own and finally is the least be very very severe because that's what you give to a kid that hits his own parents and aim is is uh similar should be on the same not not not more but should be on the same level as the it's the same idea of being let's say but we thought that's very severe these four things we're going to go through at least four times you know once you know the whole the whole D really so let's see inside Where's My Water I what I really need is a coffee which is right over here but it's a little too hot okay yeah yeah I got okay so says the three lines from the bottom of me how do I know that SK is the number one on the list right what's number one on the list number two on the list is so first let's take care of Skil is more than then we're going to say SK is more than then we're going to say is more than and then we're going to move the list over to we're going to do the whole thing over again is more you give SK how do I know it's the number one it's the worst of the worst because that's what you give to somebody that's M that curses hem like in this picture right over here and what's the Practical because at the end of the day he denies the main thing which is believing in the perhaps it's the opposite perhaps maybe the daughter of she gets now the is trying to do everybody knows that is the most that's not even a question says oh but maybe is so does anybody in this room think that if first of what's says means now if they treated him with the father now they treat him mundan people are going to tell him in the street because this Bas is still living by him or we'll see in a second say this is the daughter that you brought up cursed are you that you brought up such a girl other explain you hear this what's that rber you ever knew this you could lose your your Aliyah youren you also also D let's say people give you the keyboard of benching you lose that when the daughter is maana you lose that you don't deserve it anymore okay so let's say all these terrible things you lose your your your you lose your your first and you're benching all the good stuff that gets so why would I have a have that's worse than being to be so the answer is p and that explains the Su yeah look at the two things on the left you you den and underneath it so oh but on a practical level it's much worse practical practical here in this world the fact that you cursed the okay will take care of you but nothing happened to anyone over here you hurt another human being she messed up another human being so maybe it's more calmer that's the me at the end going to say no that's much worse top of yeah St this idea of this guy goes to the RO and he tells the RO you know I don't know what to do I thought that my son-in-law is the top guy in Yesa he had the most potential everybody told me he's going to be the biggest gadar and uh you know at the end of the day he became a delivery guy for the pizza shop but he tells the Rob I'm not I don't care about myself I care about the what a loss what p a loss for for so says oh that's very nice so so let's say your neighbor also had such a he got the top guy in and the neighbors became the pizza guy it also M you like that ah no that that doesn't bother you bother you because it's your son-in-law ah okay so it's your own okay says so here we have a very nice chart for the rest of the very very simple chart but it it makes everything clear on the right side you have a is on the left side you have aen but there's a big difference between a who's married and a now without looking at the chart I want to ask you a very simple question question and this is going to this this explains this what's worse for an Engaged an Engaged girl to be misana or a married girl to be misana what's worse married everybody says married what's worse who's more married a a married woman what's in arusa arusa is also but she only she's only engaged she only got a ring she didn't there's no yeah let's do this real quickly for the new people so that everybody's on the same AIS is that the guy gives her a ring and then they like they separate for for a year and then they do something called that's but at this stage of a in those days it was it was real so she's 100% stage one stage two is that this so I'm going to ask again what's more if she's m right after she got the ring or she was M after everybody says after the says no it's worse to be after a what's so it's very hard to understand in terms of in terms of a she's much more says rash unbelievable thing I'm jumping ahead just to see this Rashi you hear this I've never seen something like this hardly ever here's a person that committed three crimes she's ra the first thing she she did an a against hem she did an a against her family she embarrassed her family why because she's she's living in her father's house and her father allowed this to happen and she did something wrong to herself usually we care about over here it's worse off than than a married woman who's only it's not there's no father involved there call it's worse of an embarrassment and here she's pure she's still oh so now that we know this now we go back to this chart right over here now take a look let's look at at the right side AAS who's married gets AAS Aro gets skilo what's worse in M or M we just said Inus M did three things and she gets what punishment do she get skila so what's worse here skila is worse to of sorry so that's not what we're doing here we're doing something else yeah we're doing something else here we're talking about the oh that's much better yeah yeah look at the left side if you look at the left side you have a Bas andas one is married one is one gets one gets which one do we say does the more severe a Thea on the left bottom corner she gets skila so the left top is so skila is more since the says no no no you're the so you don't get what the other one gets you get something different you get Skil we got that all we care about is these two right over here gets and we said is herself her family yeah I was just I was talking to this Taxi Driver crazy story um I'll tell you the rest of it later maybe but one of the things weing about I told him that this is a thing that always bothered me to show how cruel these people are that if an Arab is just his sister being over take a sister in front of the whole family and start stabbing her slowly and she's screaming and screaming and they kill her right in front of the whole M and that that also has to do with the the honor of the family this guy told me I just tell you real quickly he said that he decided to be shabas recently so he started he went to SCH and he D in sud and this and that and he says you know but I can't do it and I had another service to do it and I can't so I told him maybe you shouldn't just grab the whole shs in one shot do one small thing pick one thing he says well like what so I don't know the first I said maybe don't drive don't go to SCH don't make any sudas don't don't don't don't drop your phone right yet see if this works you do you don't drive your car cuz car is a he says I like that over six seven times he said B this is what I'm going to do that's a great idea one small thing I could do that he says but could I do one more thing could I also make the suit on the shabas morning don't don't don't no no no can't do that emss told me a lot of stuff but he said we're not aware of this he said his 3-year-old if if he leaves from his uh he lives in a if he leaves from the kitchen into the backyard garden his three-year-olds crying he has because since he go used to go every time for a full month or more so she thinks every time he goes opens the door and goes out he's leaving for good so she has to be with him 24/7 he has to take her to the gun bring her back from the whole thing sleep in the the whole everything we don't know about these things okay so what step one what we did is we got that Skil is more than so Skil is on top of the the list right now on top of but how do we know that Skil is on top of have to go slow how do we know is more than a sword here we go this guy just as we're talking we could do it okay so this we're going to see 10 times we just did one here's the second time already you see give it to some I can't think of a worse now is being cheapap on the words it says means we said it's I could think of something worse than aara when many people do AAR in a city they all get the sword what's the practical of you see that there's something physical over here we take all their money all their belongings their animals and their gold and we burn it all so remember that one we're going to say this also five times says no no no no no you want to tell me that is even more than because of but think about it what's what is worse somebody that convinces somebody else to do aara or somebody that does thear tell you real quickly the two guys two guys decided together to go off the go off the I don't know one was was they went off the D and the the the new Journey they stopped at a restaurant and they ordered a nice cold glass of Coke and one of the guys he takes the cup he the guy looks we went the what are you doing you know cuz he was so used to the every time he grabs so the guy says so like it's not you're not new to your son what's your name Ari what iter from where where do you live where England in London very nice this your first time in edro no wow you're lucky kids your age in America they barely come to you get to come all the time huh beautiful welcome he has a seat you has to sit on your left cuz wow full Full House we don't want to separate them you know know what I'm saying if you want to go there and let them both sit there that's a good idea you want no no no I'm kidding I'm kidding what's worse to convince somebody to do a to do the oh and what does it have to do with the what's what's more to to do the do [Music] the now I need a for that we're in a that you need R for everything what's the r that is more because number one we learned a few somebody that convinc somebody El to do there's no you believe this you don't have to warn him you take him you kill him also what's another thing that we learned about him we don't we don't we don't look for for him the guy walked out tell him to come in not you here open the door tell that to come in tell him we have we have standing room here he did not come for at 755 come on 6 he doesn't want to come ah I got it that's not nice no he's a young guy he was a young guy he's these guys friends right soy that convinces other people we don't look for for him what five to 5 to eight then we have do the whole arm there sayar is very I'm serious they don't get they don't get somebody that that makes somebody else do have doesn't get he gets so what's worse is more than so now we have SK on top of the list we have SK on top of and then we have and now finally the fourth the fourth strangulation we know that is more severe than that this is the third time we had that and we're going to have it more you [Music] give's and why would I say that is not is is is more severe than SK that's an attempt if you hit your father father mother it should be at least not more severe but at least as severe as as as let's say be or whatever so we have a we all know if your father asked you to remove a splinter for instance and a little drop of blood could come out at the end you have to ask your local Rabbi if that's M different things like that that today with okay so that's what I did before but at the wrong spot here here we have on the right side here you know what so I'll make it easier for everybody like this okay we have a and and that R we already establish is a greater because she's doing three bad things versus the and what does she get she gets versus so we see that is more is more severe than since the T changed the the the she's different than a married oh now we we're jumping now we're going to the next thing we have the list we already did is more and now we're going to go from see if second in the list or maybe is the third in the list and guess what hardly anything new is more severe than because it's given to the the daughter of the and why we said that the father doesn't get anymore and he doesn't or according to Rashi rash does mention something like that but he says people curse him in the street had this well you burn everything says this says the word of and we already established that is more so since it has the same word by has the word of it means that now so is number two in the list over the last thing we have to figure out is like we said that we it's similar to oh now just want to show you this for a second check this out on top top [Music] line what's more what do you see from that the Top Line what do you see from the Top Line they're both married one is one is so you see that is more than is different and changed went from one last we have to do is take care of we know that is more severe than let's just look at the chart in case you want to know here the last two things on the list oops the left left side is more is moreuse of say person is much more severe because it's it's it's to to to deny the of the which is to believe in the now we're going to do all this all over again for says the the is number one and is number three not four why very very P once we see this we'll understand [Music] everything is more than why because it's given to the daughter of the because it's a terrible thing she now defiled her father's name people in the street see him and they curse him but because you give it to somebody that does even the worst thing which is so let's go toim here this is the tanamo look at the tanak says this is on the T I want you to see the T look at the what does the do he switches I don't want yeah this is what he does for now the gets so what's more we take the bottom line over here what's more whatever the K gets is more so you see that is more than it's very easy give a kick you see now Nowa is top of the list according toim and I need to know that remains on top of the list we said that is more than what is more that we have to check out right now is number one because it's given to the when the Torah changed from a married from a married so let's go back over here yeah Top Line I'm married so what do you see over here what's more and finally I need to tell you that is more what's the why would I think that is more it's given to the because you have to burn everything remember we had this also what's more severe to to to to convince somebody to do a or to do it yourself convincing somebody else now very very very simple we said is more severe than and yet is on top of both of of certainly is more than Which is less than oh sponsors and I thank you to repr Global experts in National Financial Services so now I already established that is the top one according toim what about Skil how do I know that skila is second in line according toim you see skila second how do I know it's second and you go through the whole thing all over again Skil come tell me if I have to if I have to explain the we'll explain the words because then I'm going have that guy that's going to say that he didn't go to Yesa and I was too fast for him okay is more sever than why because it's given said what's the we should all do this we should anticipate this to ourselves what's the and what's the Practical thing if we just go to sorry how come it's not oh what gets what's what's worse in this case oh but it should really beim but okay also says at this point so you see is more than how do I know is more than we have you burn everything this is the third time we're having this the the guy that that gives the that that convinces people to to do what what does he get what does the get get remember we already established is more sever than we already established that is more so certainly is on the bottom bottom of the [Music] list so now the says according to shim look shim says check this out is third on the list over why because you give that to somebody that's over because is like no on the other hand I can say is more severe why because you give it to most of the city do you chop off their heads and the is that their money is burnt everything's burnt what's worse to convince somebody to do the da or to learn is the worst get the rest [Music] get and says that get so therefore is third on the list and is on the bottom because the get and the guy gets the shakas guys whoever here for shakas unfortunately I came in from America after a 30-hour trip and I overslept so I started sheer like 10 minutes late I apologize so Rashi says means was was used to saying this thing the says that it means that it was like Jewels like a a margas like a stone a pearl a beautiful thing that which just remind me of whoever learned in the Mir when a would come to him with he would pull out money from his pocket and give him says what a beautiful and you tell people I wish I had more money I would give you your is worth much more so not not a lot of here everything that we learned basically a young girl between the age 12 and 12 and a half who's engaged and the daughter of the who get if she's she gets let's just go back here for a second if I can find it hereo you see on the bottom top sorry is changed her her her her is changed from to so let's see if we have yeah yeah but where is he he's over here okay because according to what's more s let's say with her own father so does she get or so according to is the most severe she gets according to is the most severe she gets there's two rules in two the tah changed what the the of should be and change the of what and what when we change it we give the a more severe it's also more severe now here's the big [Music] we said gets what two ad them come and lie and they say this girl she's maana we want her to get Misa what should she get what do get whoa how do you know that time out what should they get don't jump what should they get same thing and as a big they only [Music] get which they want her to get they get what if if this woman was is that's what they get which is what according to means like here's the is maybe it's funny no interesting want to say I think it's important it's I'll say as much as as they could say it um I heard this for from a number of people I heard this from that was so I got to say it over I know this person to be a very very good guy that him like this start from it's it's a beginning a start every major is a person does if you think about nobody jumps into the major I'm going to be the today it starts from a text message from a one word from a a far a small thing a very small action and then it leads up to this this she was she started it's a she she started but that little start that's where all the trouble begins only talking about here not about maybe she wasn't even married no no no obviously husb inv there must be a husband to be this is wild maybe the is that she's with her with her father and nobody else no no [Music] no call all the everybody so it must be with a husband just one two more lines who told it's maybe it's only a only a 12 and a half year old but let's say she's 15 years old and she was she she doesn't get the she doesn't get if she's a she's married let's she's a she's 13 wonderful day
