I think it was

You

it.
One for each cup of water.

>> We all know about the tremendous
blizzard in America. Here we go.
MDY location in Toms River
location 10 inches of snow outside
already. Big blizzard happening here.
But look inside the show and look what's
going on.
>> Don't give up on the shoe.
Tom's River
And then you have also somebody sent me
a long video of the line in the
supermarket. It's crazy line. But what
what came out from the video is that
Shmuly
carton over there.
The the crate cuz people are just
nervous that they're not going to have
food so they the the supermarkets are
crazy over there.
But if you don't want to be in the
blizzard, you could always go to Miami.
>> [music and singing]
[music]
>> He's knocking away. I'm going to keep on
pumping it until until we get to 100
over there. He's going to have to change
the location or something.
Next, we got to do something with
Hollywood. Hollywood
Going strong thank you Ari Chaimowitz.
Oh, they also will keep on pumping them.
Look at Check this out in the morning
in Borough Park.
You involved with the
Where's that the
that screams out. I don't see him here.
Maybe he isn't there. I don't know. The
guy with the hat, you know I'm talking
about?
No,
the one with the interesting the what?
Uh dear Rabbi Elliot, the decision to
briefly discuss with me some of the
twirling issues I've seen over the past
19 years has really born beautiful
fruit. The conversation directly led to
one This is from Reb Avraham Schachter
Twirling Awareness Project.
I don't know led to one of your
thousands of any way learning to request
more information about the program. When
he was here, somebody showed him their
are possible. He's been wearing possible
filling for a few years already.
Basically, his shoes were brown. Take a
look at your shoes in certain areas,
especially where you tighten them, and
he said it's possible. And the guy ran
immediately to the What's his name?
>> Friedrich. It's Friedrich. Friedrich
said they got a bunch of our people. You
went there, your filling were good.
>> Yeah, excellent filling, naturally.
Excellent filling.
It was just for the record. It was just
for the record.
>> It was for the record only.
>> Wow.
Okay. It's quite a record.
We have to get a guy now for the tallis
of this project. It's the everybody on
the that should be noted. It should be
noted. They go
Yeah. They run around telling
With a tremendous for you Ellie. The
entire
From my experience, I can say with
certainty, after these visits, many of
the
participants will be fulfilling this
most precious mitzvah properly. And some
will also be spared from unknowingly
repeated brochos lebatalah. By the way,
the insurance is a massive show with
over 1,000 members. The potential impact
is beyond measure. May you and the
entire MDY family continue to be a
beacon of light and inspiration for Klal
Yisrael. With deep appreciation and
respect, Avrohom Yishak filling wears
project Hanocha Kalacha. Hanocha
Kalacha, thank you. Shlisky
introduced me to
Yeah. Good morning, Reb Ellie. I've been
diving since brochos. Though I've been
getting at first on my own, and here and
there with the chavrusa, and eventually
got to the sheer culture. This is not a
knock, just a different style of
learning. I joined MDY in Yevamos daf
sameach gimmel. Gimmel, sorry. Gimmel.
Or dalet. So, I missed the the bushes of
daf bet.
Don't worry, I went back and you were
phenomenal. Recently, I've had more time
since I've been been so back over the
mesechtas, and now I'm middle of
Pesachim. My goal to go backwards
through all of shas with you. I know it
probably doesn't qualify for the cruise,
but forgo that to the shmacken learning.
Last night, I attended the shiur in
Pesachim and he showed this picture of a
boy carrying the besamim, example of Don
Shainem Skavin.
I just thought that it was a real kiss
from Hashem to open my Gemara today
Pesachim daf chof alef, and see you use
the same chart. Ah, the amazing things
you're doing. Your people are real grasp
Torah honestly when I think of the verse
Uh "Ki karav el Hashem
k'davar Elohim
Ki karav el Hashem
Think of the amazing Torah you've taught
me and so many others how close you've
really brought it to us. Keep it up."
Moshe Schiff, Yevamot. Here's the
picture of him doing Sukkot.
The profiler is the same picture I used
that day in Tilt Tilt Kayal.
Rebbetzin Tilt Kayal, I think it's still
going on is the
till the 24th. There was a stickel
problem with the code. Check it out. You
might get lucky and you get everything
for free.
I mean, it might be a little stealing
from Tilt Kayal, but it's it's it's
kishmar. You as a Jew you should run
there. It's like those free tickets to
Israel so you can go up Tilt Kayal get
free tallis. You can commit the mitzvah
of the
stickel hint of g'neiva. It's not a
No, it's not g'neiva. I'm saying that
you'll just pay them when you find out
that you owe them money.

>> Oh, this is a very interesting email.
It's written in It's written by a
writer, so I'm going to read it.
So beautiful looking tallis wearing a
tallis at a Lakewood wedding a few weeks
ago. I asked and the answer was that's
Eli Stefansky's father. Well, I wrote it
up in my column in the Jewish Press.
Through my stuff put my name the Jewish
Press my columns will pop up. Special
relatives my cousins Judy in Detroit
married family's brother Dr. Field. Wow.
Show me up.
Hashem put me in baseball field and I
bet that I'm the only rebbe Orthodox FFB
listener who earned a World Series ring
by working daily for years in a major
league front office of the Detroit
Tigers. I did.
Would love to see your team put on a
card set. Baseball card size so fit in
plastic sleeve in a 9 per page.
Put pictures of your team with
descriptions in back how to get in touch
with them so they want to buy some of
their products etc. their books. I'm so
What product? What is it put things you
covered learning? Size of the menorah
pictures with descriptions in back so
guys like me
who were quickly sent to the low minor
leagues by the rebbes in yeshiva and
never it up can have a better
understanding and younger kids could
also learn. The possibilities are
endless. As I head to the bottom of the
eighth birthday-wise, I've been
birthday-wise, bottom of the eighth
birthday-wise, I've been diving for
decades and can't retain, but your
team's visual descriptions are a big
help. By the way, love your mention of
Yogi Berra. We were friends, had many
conversations in the dugout and locker
room while I was on the baseball beat. I
think what he said about funerals, and
I'm trying to catch one for the younger
friend today.
Oh, he's trying to catch a funeral of a
younger friend today. Yogi said, "If you
don't go to theirs, they won't go to
yours." Irving Cohen
the Cooperstown Rabbi
Detroit, Lakewood, West Palm Beach. I'll
leave you with a personal bracha for
your family, a future shidduchim, and
share brachos. May their marriage be a
tie to go the extra inning. May they
never need an umpire. May they be safe
at home, and may they be safe even when
they are out.
He's a friend of yours? What's his name
again? Irving Cohen. He's in his late
80s, that's what you're saying?
Shmack, okay.
We're we're looking for ways, the best
one maybe Rabbi Greenman will bring a I
don't know if he's bringing a stocking
stocking thing, but show us how it's
done.
Do a little uh
demonstration for the oilam. He says,
"Put the strings in a slipknot, and then
put it in a sock."
Put it in a washing machine, it works
perfectly.
Put it in a sock?
Oh.
One minute, one last I got to I got to
read this. This is a good one. In honor
of Rabbi to the Baruch Hashem I had the
privilege to join him in the wine bar of
Bash D'Nite, and now I have the merit of
celebrating a sea of 600 days in a row
without missing a single daf. I've
already completed 22 masechtas. All
these things are incredible fabulous
sheer reaches anytime and anywhere, even
on flights. Even if there
if there is an event during sheer time,
the sheer can be completed immediately
afterwards whenever and however one
wants. In the Jewish community in France
and around the world of Yeshivas, I was
always in conflict with myself. On the
one hand, ever since I left the Yeshiva
about 13 years ago, I hardly opened the
Gemara and did not learn Gamara. I did
not love learning Gamara. For years they
told me to learn, but the moment I left
Yeshiva I felt I cannot return to it. On
the other hand, in Yeshiva world, not
learning Torah is considered a lack.
Going out for work for livelihood is
considered as though you're lacking in
your learning time. I guess this was
written in Hebrew?
It was not easy for me, but it was the
reality. Since I did not love Gamara, I
tried three times joining learning
frameworks of the daily dive, but I quit
the moment I started. I never connected
to it. I always felt like a race to
finish the Torah. I claimed that only
super genius learners complete a Siyum.
Most people drop out or not learn at all
or not finish the cycle. It bothered me
deeply that I was going to learn only so
that my wife would think that I was
learning, the children would see their
fathers learn. It's important, but I
felt it was wrong to me.
From the moment I joined the sheer
Baruch Hashem, I managed to learn
consistently every day. Although it took
time to connect, at first it was very
difficult. On daf
base and aleph I made a firm commitment
that I would also learn on Shabbos the
daf of Shabbos as Chazal say, mitzvah
generates mitzvah.
Today, Baruch Hashem, I managed to
complete seven seders with MDY. Since
then,
I began reviewing and reviewing. I've
already
been zocheh to complete 10 siyumim. I've
already finished five siyumim, something
like that. I don't know. It's yeah.
Chazara. Oh. Oh, it's Zvachim. He
finished Zvachim. It doesn't say Zvachim
here, but in Hebrew it said it was five
siyumim Zvachim and he did 10 reviews of
Zvachim kemat. So, he almost did 10
siyumim Zvachim. Because of reviewing
habit, I find myself learning several
times in the morning after
shacharis if there's time or in the
evening after putting the kids to sleep
without any organized framework. Also,
number four, I also noted that
throughout the week I wake up early in
the morning until the evening and do not
stop only I suddenly have free time. A
few months ago I decided to review on
Shabbos afternoons.
And there all the chances disappeared
and I learn without interruption until
Maariv.
Basically he's saying in the Hebrew he
explained it better. I don't know what
happened uh
what
AI took it out. He was saying that he
used to love sleeping on Shabbos
afternoon and now he realized he doesn't
really need sleep. He he He chazara
instead like Yossi client. In our home
No, this is all wrong. Wow. Just the guy
didn't go over this. Okay. Because he
wanted to buy something in a leah on
Simchat Torah. One of the leahs they
sell for that big Gamorah, the guy said
200 daf. He said that's not enough. So
he threw out he says 1,000 daf Gamorah
and he thought that other people will up
him but he got stuck with it but he says
it's not a big deal cuz he learns 1,400
daf a year with hazaras. So may Allah it
was a breeze for him.
And uh
There are people I suggested join the
sheer push me away all kinds of
tirutsim.
The fact that I already completed 600
daf in a row gives me the real answer to
this calculus.
Someone like me succeeded from Minachos
daf 100, why not others in other places?
No, not Minachos daf
base. From personal growth alone the
entire house doesn't enter to this

today, especially in base.
You guys want to smooth tell let me know
when it's supposed to be start. No, can
I start?
Tomorrow.
Today is above other above other.
Squawk.
Anything else you guys want to figure
out? Let me know.
>> [laughter]
>> I appreciate you telling share with me
what you trying to figure out.
It's about it.
Okay.
It has to be something. Turn it up
bottom. We're four lines from the bottom
of that base. Welcome back Avi Kaminsky.
Welcome back Noam Fix. Welcome back and
nothing else to the three stooges are in
line over here. It's about it. We're
ready to go.
You were not feeling well.
>> One day I was away. But you're away
mentally also. You were very quiet 2
days in a row.
You missed a nice because of you. I
[snorts] think because I I knew we
missed. Torah bottom.
>> I knew we missed. That seems like it's
going to be a long one. We got a line
here, a 310 lines there.
Welcome back. Welcome back. That's what
I said. Torah bottom. Kailas ain't no
big deal. If you have you have a blue
string, you find blue strings in the
middle of the street, are you allowed to
use them?
So the bottom of the Havani says ain't
no big deal. There's no test to see if
it's Kailas. You're allowed to see if
it's the fake thing
or if it's the real thing.
And Kailas ain't no big deal.
And therefore, you could only purchase
Kailas from a professional
to make sure it's not the Kailas. It's
not indigo.
Tefillin ain't no big deal. Tefillin you
could check.
You could tell.
The big deal is for Kailas. Ain't no big
deal. You look inside. You see the
actual words, actual letters.
I'm going to show you now a Kailas that
you've never seen before in your life.
You'll never see it again. Tefillin
ain't no big deal. Kailas ain't no big
deal.
Kailas ain't no big deal. Kailas ain't
no big deal.
Kailas ain't no big deal.
Kailas ain't no big deal. Kailas ain't
no big deal. Kailas ain't no big deal.
It's the only time in Kailas basically,
maybe one other time in Kailas that he
brings the Rambam. Kailas brings the
Rambam.
>> [snorts]
>> Okay? So look at it. Remember it.
Somebody said that you could
uh I forgot what they said. As I was
walking out, somebody said Daf Mem Beis
goes with Rambam. I see the Mem Beis.
Rebbeinu
I don't know. He had some other way to
remember where it is. Okay.
The ain't no big deal. Kailas ain't no
big deal.
Since, as we're going to see, and the
same thing is going to happen with
Kailas basically, but since Tefillin
need the one of the elements in
Tefillin, there's something that you
could see physically, and there's
something that you cannot tell even with
a computer, a computer scan can't see
what? Can't see whether or not if you
had kavana lishma.
That's where they could you in the back
over there, in the bleachers.
Oh, we don't have seats over here. Wow.
Oh, there's one seat over here in the on
the two seats on the guest You guys want
to come closer? You could see. It's
filling yesh l'm deka. You could check
for missing letters on a on a computer.
V'eni kacham el amanah mucha,
nevertheless, you have to buy it from a
professional because
the the whole the the bottom Everything
has to be made lishma. S'farim, when it
comes to sefer Torah or mezuzahs and
mezuzahs, yesh l'm deka, you could check
to see if there's any letters missing.
V'eni kacham el kol adam,
since they don't require, says Rashi,
ibud lishma, you don't have to make the
klaf lishma, so you could buy from
anybody.
As the Gemara with kenas el amud deka,
what are you talking about? There's no
test for trailers.
Bar Avitol b'reish Avyada badiklei,
siman b'geshem, he had If you want to
remember the way he did it,
just remember the word geshem.
There is a way.
Maiseh m'gabei el gila, you take some
alum.
U'maya d'shavli l'luta, you take some
fenugreek juice.
U'mei m'raglayim arbayim yom, and you
take
urine, mei m'raglayim, mei m'raglayim
that are 40 days old, according to
Rashi, could be fermented. No, that's
one shot. From a baby that's 40 days
old, but basically, it's 40 days old cuz
the longer
the longer it stays, the more potent it
becomes, the more ammonia, I don't know
what it is, a different chemical.
So, if we're already talking about mei
m'raglayim, Rashi says
Yeah, Rashi says the other one. Look at
the Keep on
And keep on going. Keep on going. All
right.
I But All right. Lamed alef stands for
lashon hara. Okay, so
I know, I told you the second shot.
Listen, listen. I heard you.
>> [laughter]
>> I didn't want to speak up. I said,
"Welcome back." That's it.
Okay, you just disturbed my whole I'm
trying to say a nice about the mayor of
line.
It could go in your book.
I knew you were going to go there.
That's why I was trying to
>> [laughter]
>> avoid it. Stop you before you went.
>> Before I became a magid shiur
That's That's also Yeah.
I have a I have a better one.
It's
You know You might know this one. It's
the biggest I ever had.
Basically, before I was a magid shiur, I
was looking to like fill my day with
something fulfilling. So, I was doing
chesed.
This woman I used to take her to the the
the chemo and she was nifter. This This
one of my neighbors was sick. I was
doing a week-long urine sample.
Basically, it's You just take You take
every Every time you go to the bathroom,
you have to fill up.
Gives me this jug, 1 gallon. 1 gallon,
says
"This person needs to bring this to the
lab in Wolfson Towers in Jerusalem."
Okay. Puts it in a bag. Take the Wolfson
Tower.
I get to Wolfson Tower in the elevator.
It's full of people carrying this
There's a supermarket I guess there. I
don't know. They're all carrying like
these bags.
And all of a sudden, I feel something
wet running down my pants.
And look down.
And there's a puddle [snorts] of
mayriglayim and I'm standing in it and
my pants are drenched. What happened was
the cover got undone. A half a gallon of
the stuff
that's over a week old
is all over me. And all I remember is
this avreich is
threw his stuff out of his bag and he
starts giving me bags and he says, "It's
okay. It's okay. It's beseder." And I'm
like, "It's not me. There's a jug here."
It's like
No revaya. No revaya. Damas.
Betari love you got value. I hope they
don't make a shirt out of this one.
Betari love you got value. Utav atzafra.
Sometimes he bizyanus bizyanus.
>> [snorts]
>> And then I went no, I see I would kept
on going and went with the way it looked
and everything. I went to the lab and I
said is this okay? Like half the things
is missing. He said it's okay. He said
we'll we'll we'll deal with it. Like
don't worry about it. Leave it here and
Huh?
>> [laughter]
>> You have to have alum also and I didn't
have trailers back then I don't think.
Anyways, the tar you have to give a
value more. They want to know if the
trailers came off.
The tar you have to give a value more to
have the tar.
And you leave it in this mixture
from the night to the morning.
If the trailers comes off, it starts
becoming weak, then you know that it's
not real trailers. It's color ilan. They
showed us in the till trailers they took
real indigo. Which is which?
>> The trailers you cannot differentiate
the two colors. You put side by side a
lot.
>> One of them is color ilan. It's not it's
the same exact look.
And if it stays the same color, then
it's kosher.
You take this hard
um yeast, you know, like a starter,
barley starter.
You take the trailers, you put it inside
and you you bake it.
If it changes for the better, becomes
darker blue, whatever it is, then it's
kosher.
The simonach, how do you remember?
If a person says a lie and he adds a
little bit of a lie to it, it makes it
worse.
If you if you add to the good, it makes
it better.
Okay? So basically we have two simonum
here. We have the
the the the the alum in the mirror glime
and then you have
putting into the yeast.
So the most of my sir of a hassan was on
his way to his own engagement. He's
driving and he's like
I want to pick up a big mitzvah before
before
going with a on the right foot. He sees
an elderly person standing on the side
of the street. He says, "Where do you
need to go?" He says, "Don't worry about
it. I'm I'm going to get a taxi." He
says, "No, no, I'll take you wherever
you need to go. Just tell me exactly
I'll take you."
The guy says, "No." He insists. He says,
"It's I got to."
So, he says,
uh,
"I need to go over here." He says, "No
problem. I'll take you." He drives and
when he is about to get there,
he sees that if he goes into that
street, it'll take him another 3-4
minutes.
He says, "You know, just get off over
here." So, the guy says, "Look, I want
to take a taxi." And I'm
it's hard for me to go up the whole
thing.
If you're going to take me, just take me
all the way there. I don't want to walk
now 3 minutes." He says, "Yeah, but if I
go." He says,
So, the old man was insistent. He said,
"You told me, you know." He says, "You
know what? I'll tell you what. Let me
take you back to where you came from."
He drives him all the way back. He says,
"Get off over here."
He gets to his, uh, vart. Everything's
good and all of a sudden the zayed of
the kallah walks in.
And that was the end of the shidduch.
You have to you have to stick to your
words. Shinu sheker. You tell a guy
you're going to take him over here, you
take him over here, not almost over
there.
So, the Gemara, I said it's a maiseh
kimat it's a maiseh. No, I read it in
um
>> [laughter]
>> Mayain ol deega. Oh.
So, sorry. Nachman. So, the question is
>> [clears throat]
>> Question is, you told me that there's no
way to check the chailas. There's no
way. Here, we have we have two tests,
not one.
Says the Gemara, "No, no, you didn't
understand. We're not looking to see if
the chailas could come off. We're
talking about the kavana part, the stuff
that has to do with people's mind.
There's no way to check that. That you
can never check."
What does that mean? How does it apply
to chailas?
Mayain ol deega havay de kamar at the
eema.
The when you when you dip that the the
tzemer, you dip the wool into the
into that dye,
so two things happen. First of all,
first of all, you can't use the actual
wool
for tzitzis, and also you can't use the
dye anymore.
Both of them are no good. They're both
temei'im. The actual tzitzis is pasul.
Why? Because you you you didn't have
kavana for tzitzis. You had kavana to
check it to see if it's the right color.
So, that I'm scared that somebody might
pass it off. If you found some strings
in the street, maybe somebody took it
from the temei'im strings, and those are
pasul.
>> [snorts]
>> Or they came from the second dye, the
maris sheini dye. Maris sheini is no
good.
And that's what it means there's no
checking. Yeah, you can check if it's
kalla ilam versus tcheiles, but you
can't check if the tcheiles is made with
the proper kavana.
Says the Gemara, Mar mi Mashki,
Mar who came from Mashki,
aasi tcheileso bishnei Rabba bar bar
Chiyya.
He brought tcheiles from in the years of
Rabba bar bar Chiyya. So,
Rabbanan Savorei,
take a look at where it says Rabba bar
bar Chiyya, take a look in the bottom.
What does it say? Read it out loud.
Like number seven, I think it is in the
Hebrew.
Yeah, you read it. Now say it loud.
Rabba bar bar Chiyya
Rabba bar bar Chiyya mi Rabbanan
Savorei. So, this is a very very
important hint in the Gemara. I said a
few times, but here's one
Rabba bar bar Chiyya was from Rabbanan
Savorei. What does that mean? Rabba bar
bar Chiyya did not live in the time of
the Amora'im. He lived later, after the
Gemara was closed.
Ravina and Rav Ashi finished it up. They
inserted him later, later years. I don't
know how many years later.
That proves
that Rabbanan
Rabbanan Savorei wore tcheiles.
A lot of people say Rav Chaim
Kanievsky's big thing is nignaz.
But the Midrash says nignaz. The Midrash
was written way hundreds of years
before.
Yet you see throughout Shas that
different Amoraim and over here you see
Rabbanan Savorai
wore Techeiles.
Did a test.
What's the reason why he used test? The
May Raglayim test. Biparas Chazusa. So
on test number one it failed
immediately, the color
diminished.
And then they did a test number two with
the Rav Adda, the yeast test. Vishnani
Mayusa became even better.
There's a contradiction in the test. One
test
it uh how do you say in English? It
became
uh it faded, thank you. It faded. And
then the second test the reverse
happened, it got stronger.
So they wanted to say, "Look, uh
you you you didn't pass the first test,
you're out."
So Rav Achai says, "Al Halacha
Al Halacha Ilai, we have a
contradiction." So
there's only two options, either it's
Techeiles or Al Ilan. There's no third
option in those days. So what is it? Al
Shmani Al Shmuasa Shmuasa Hadadi Itmar.
These two tests go in conjunction, they
go together. First you do you perform
test number one.
If you failed test number one, Lo Iva
Chazusa Chara Iva Chazusa, if it if it
if it's good it's great, you don't have
to do test number two. But if it fails
test number one, Iparit Chazusa,
But Kilu Lemai Rav Adda B'Chamira Akisa,
then you could do test number two. And
what happens? Ishnani Lemai Usa Chara
Iva Chazusa. In other words, test number
one is not a uh perfect science.
If it fails on test number one, you
still have a chance to use test number
two. And if it actually goes becomes
better with the yeast, then you know
that it's still kosher.
And Shmuel Katan they said in Eretz
Yisrael, Shmuasa Hadadi Itmar, these two
tests go together.
It's a double test.
Says the Gemara, Rabbi Mani Dayik
B'Zavin Kichura Masniyosa.
He would buy
based on the price of the what that we
have to
understand that any trailers that was
used
as a sample like that they didn't kill
it all that stuff that he dumped into
that was I thought it's fascinating. I
asked him to give me some of that secret
sauce that we can use it you know like
maybe in brokers whatever. You put white
wool in, you pull it out, it stays
white. All of a sudden in front of your
eyes it starts changing to blue. It's
really cool.
So that trying that as a you know if I'm
showing this year I cannot use that as
as trailers because I didn't have cover
over the same as trailers.
So may law he was marked with to buy it
from a moment of her.
I don't know Saba. I wonder if this is a
line of you again cuz this line is
tremendous. This is a line that we all
you can read this line and just go right
there and you can read this line and
pause it for a second.
How can all we come over to come off?
This is what the generations before you
and before you did.
The actual like you sky you.
It's like after a million of you maybe.
Then when you you act like a mensch
you do you do the right things you make
it on on a halacha that's like you sky
you. You'll have a slight they're
connected. The two things are connected.
The way the way we we act manage
yesterday I was talking to a real estate
broker and I said listen
you you partner you haven't been so
honest with me.
You know certain things like nuances you
know.
He doesn't have to tell me he watches my
sheer just to make me feel good when he
doesn't watch it. I know he's not
watching the sheer you know. Don't have
to try and like little things little
things you got to be honest. He said
you're 100% right but this is how we
are. You know we we're like our kind. We
tell you this and we tell them that we
try to put you together. We call them
and then we call them by nature we have
to lie and stickle. This is what he
tells me straight out.
That's like you sky you. You do it the
right way you do it
you must see how to do it about it. Huh?
I'll take care of your money for you.
Yeah yeah and then that I want to invest
with this guy. This is the guy I want to
invest when he's
mom is
He's doing all right in the crying
posture. He's uh he's
Turn around about it.
He's my At least he's At least he's
honest that he's not honest. Give up
already.
Halaqa talismans yes this one is shook.
If somebody goes ahead and then he buys
tzitzis from the marketplace.
Hey means well I just got to be bought.
Hm?
>> [clears throat]
>> Halaqa yeah halaqa talismans yes this
one is shook. If somebody buys a tallis
that has tzitzis on it from in the
market. Means well I just got to If you
buy it from a Jew you should know that
it's it's good it was done lishma. But I
don't even
From a it depends. Me not shera.
Nobody in the right mind today would do
this but imagine you buy from a from an
Arab those guys that sells those those
birds that those chachkes the things
that go like this and like that around
the thing you know what I'm talking
about? The the balloons that places He
also sells tzitzis a tallis. Oh! I can't
believe it. Send a picture to I forgot
to put it in.
This they they have a whole bunch of
guys in jail Arabs making tzitzis.
Yeah. Send them the picture. They had a
whole article about it.
Yeah.
Lishma. They're doing it lishma. It says
Arabs are making tzitzis lishma. The
whole bunch of them sitting.
Yeah.
That was real the Chinese. This one I'm
not sure about.
>> [laughter]
>> But I don't even know
if you buy it from an individual you
should know it's possible. If you buy it
from a from a from a guy that that's
that's his job to sell it's going to be
kosher. Why? Because he doesn't want to
ruin his name. He can be selling them
lishma.
We have a problem here.
I was once in a in a sfarm store in Mea
Shearim as a bocher
and a guy came in there without a
yarmulke. He looked a little you know
American. He was talking in English and
this and that. So the guy
he says I want to buy this. He points to
the tallis. The guy says no I can't sell
to you whatever it's taken. He says,
"Well, what about the No, this one also
not." He made him a shirt. The guy would
not sell him a tallis. Pasha, the Gemara
says over here, "Now I can sell tallis."
To any Yid.
I don't know if he was. Maybe he was
Jewish, who knows?
He didn't know. This Yishama didn't
know. Ain od mi shami mi tallis si as le
mi kavin.
Achi yati tzi tzi as I have to undo all
the tzitzis. My time up.
Hogi targimum shum zina. So, second sha
second sha in Rashi, relax. Second sha
in Rashi
is that if you a person
will buy a tallis, he'll give it to the
zina as payment.
And she'll take it. And she'll use it
to make up a some story about a Jew.
And that's a problem.
The famous maisel is the chemet.
He writes in his agdama basically that
he was a just a average curl guy who was
learning.
And somebody was very jealous of him.
And somebody paid a cleaning lady
to to make up a story about him.
A not nice story.
And there was a big turmoil in the city,
the whole thing. And the
her boss
came to check it out. He said, "This
guy, no."
And he fired this woman. He fired the
cleaning lady.
A a few days later, whatever it was, the
cleaning lady comes to the zecha and
says, "Listen,
this guy paid me to make up the story. I
need my job.
Clear your name. Tell everybody what
happened. Ruvein paid me.
I'll get my job back. You'll get your
name back."
So, he said, "Absolutely not. That's a
that's a tremendous that a that a a sham
mitar mitzvos is going to pay somebody
to make up a libel about somebody else.
Uh no, I'm not asking to do such a
thing.
But I will get you your job back." So,
he got her job back. He went and he
spoke to the guy, got her job back. And
he says in the agdama, he says, "That's
when he felt all of a sudden something
clicked in his head." Nifti chu mayani
sataya whatever the lashon over there
is. He got us tremendous siyata d'Shmaya
on Torah
because
when you go when you I'm in such a
tremendous masayan a tremendous
tremendous act of not
to clear your name. Everybody wants to
clear their name. And he he's m'vater on
that for l'kovod Shamayim. That's a
kiddush Hashem.
And
uh
And they wrote this in the comment.
Rebbi Yehuda Amar Shmuel Slavvin
b'divrei Ha'iggunah. We know with
Nachman Nachman Waxman
Nachman Waxman three bachurim different
stories that they went into the car
because they saw like a Tehillim on the
dashboard. The guy or
music different things.
I saw with my own eyes. I I can't
explain it but I saw with my own eyes in
Chicago on Shabbos I saw
uh an African-American guy wearing
like a yeshiva like a hat, jacket,
tzitzis, the whole thing getting on a
bus on Shabbos. You have to realize that
you know there's
in in Rockaway you see standing
there asking for money Erev Shabbos
collecting money cuz they know that you
could they just they put a a Tehillim
on.
It's a thing.
They say you're Shabbos different
things. Mom we they they tell you these
guys are don't give them you know
whatever.
Slide 26 Rebbi Yisrael there it is. Oh
it's on. Mitzvah zela asirim are being
koshering tzitzis l'shma rachmana
l'tzlan.
They're
>> [laughter]
>> Sorry to scroll.
>> [snorts]
>> Yeah.
It's like the guy who you see someone on
the side of the highway. So you pull
over to help him cuz he's wearing a
yarmulke. There's people put on a
yarmulke.
Cuz they know they're going to get help.
Ah you they they they might be the
Arabs.
I'm They put on a yarmulke cuz
they know you'll Ah they sell cars in
America and here in Eretz Yisrael you
have like a yellow vest and in America
they sell yarmulkes. You you get you
just put a yarmulke people will stop for
you. Givaldig.
>> [snorts]
>> So, if we analyze this slowly,
I skipped.
Oh.
Yeah, yeah, I did say it. I actually
said I'll say it again.
This is why I said that they put the
tail on the dashboard. Maybe I just
skipped it and I said the story first. I
didn't say it. I wanted to say it. I had
to go on and say I have you the armor
I said in my I I read it. I didn't say
it. He will
pretend that he's Jewish. He'll wear a
tallis.
Oh, shkoyach for stopping me. We have a
first video of it.
It's hard to understand
>> [sighs]
>> what's going on. I This part I didn't
understand so well.
Sorry, I have no change.
Um
Actually, I do have some here.
Is that our guy, the lamala lamata guy?
Sure.
Yes.
>> [laughter]
[laughter]
>> I have no idea.
I don't [laughter] know.
I have you the armor of the person of
the inch of the basin.
Ra- Rabbi Hudo on tsitsit on his wife's
clothing. Boys and his wife's clothing.
So stop, think, analyze. What does it
mean? How do you Why would you put
tsitsit on your wife's clothing?
A woman doesn't have to put on tsitsit
only if she doesn't have to wear tsitsit
at night. And then it becomes a mitzvah
that she has a man grammar. If it's a
mitzvah that you don't only do certain
times of the day, women are part of but
if a woman has to wear if tsitsit is
something that you wear 24/7
So it's not a mitzvah that she has a man
grammar. Then it's a regular mitzvah
like everything else and a woman is
hired and therefore he put tsitsit on
his wife's clothing cuz he holds that
tsitsit is something that you wear
all the time.
The problem is the next slide. And
every morning he would make a brothel
with tsitsit.
The problem is why would he make a
brothel every morning? If it's 24/7 365,
make a brothel once in your life and
that's it. You're done.
As a side note, I just as to help the
island
I
put on my tsitsit in the morning once
and I made
and
I put it on. My tsitsit on you.
And like a minute like a couple seconds
later, what just happened? What?
I mean it's mitzvah and I move on. It's
like you make a brothel, you don't even
know what you're doing. Like you I was
tired, I made a mitzvah on my tsitsit.
It's like not not I'm just
just help out the island. Just a
unawareness thing. Yeah. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing.
May the Rabbi says tomorrow since he put
the tsitsit on his wife's clothing cuz
mitzvah that she wears my grammar.
Obviously it's something it's a mitzvah
that doesn't have to do with time.
If so, I might have a brothel
so then why would he make a brothel
every morning? So the grammar, what do
you mean? We do the same thing with
filling, keriah bi. This is how your
filling goes machshavah min ha lev.
M'varech aleihem d'vei Rebbe. Now,
filling you don't wear on Shabbos, so
you can say okay. Says the Mishna, this
is my grandma certain times. Oy.
But here's a raya that even during the
day you're supposed to wear filling all
day long.
So, you can make 100 brochos on filling.
You take it off when you go You go to
the bathroom for instance.
There's certain times it makes a big
hefsek. The bathroom creates a hefsek.
You know to wear filling in some
situations in the bathroom, right? The
goylem you can't wear the So, that
creates a break. And when you put your
filling on again, you have to make a
brocha.
What about when you take off your tallis
and you go to the bathroom?
So, that even though the Shulchan Aruch
says you should make but he brings the
Ashrei we pass him the Ashkenazim at
least I don't know what the Sephardim
do. It seems like the Sephardim also.
Since it's not a real hefsek cuz you
could technically wear your tallis in
the bathroom. You're not supposed to
bring
a beged of tfillah into the bathroom.
So, that's why a lot of people take off
the kittel when they go into the
bathroom. But it's not like a chiyuv.
So, it doesn't make a stop. It doesn't
make a break.
That's on tallis unless you take it off
for a long time or whatever you make a
Okay. Yeah, not a real break.
>> [snorts]
>> Akko Podim
you see that on filling you make a
brocha
every time you take it off. So, too
Yochi Kosasonami. So, why did he make it
in the morning? It should say that he
made a brocha on his tzitzis
five times a day.
Rebbi Yehuda ben S'niah but because
Rebbi Yehuda was very He's very tzanuah
b'li sh'ar d'glimei kol yoma. He
wouldn't take off his garment the entire
day.
O machshavah m'tzavah. So, then why
So, this is a beautiful Rashi. To
understand the Gemara's question you
have to see this Rashi.
I just like this thing. O machshavah
m'tzavah says says Rashi l'varech sh'ol
m'tzavah bo. He should make the brocha
when? Ba'ashmayris k'dei m'yoyim
l'girsei.
He obviously woke up to learn Torah
before the morning.
I said to him, "Why is it that you make
a brocha then?"
2 hours before sunrise, 3 hours, who
knows when? Bashmairis.
The gear say, you hear this? These
people wake up to learn Torah in the
morning.
So the Gemara says, "Kim Shamus Labish
Sisyum, he made it when he changed from
his pajamas, PJs, into his clothing.
When was that? That was during the
daytime. He waited always. That's That's
when he made the switch. He didn't He
didn't turn put on his clothes when he
woke up in the middle of the night.
When the sun came up, then he put on his
day clothes, and that's when he made his
brocha. Once a day, Torah Rabah.
This is a super interesting line here.
You're going to have a lot of questions.
Immediately, the Gemara is going to
address them. "How come you have to say
this? Everybody is having tzitzis."
Kohanim, Levi'im, Yisraelim, which the
question is, of course,
who else is there? There's nobody else
in Klal Yisrael besides Kohanim,
Levi'im, Yisraelim.
Geirim, even a ger, nashim v'avadim,
here it says, "A woman and a slave."
Women are patur because of mitzvas eseh
she hazman grama.
Like a shofar, lulav, sukka.
Al omer.
How come Kohanim, Levi'im, Yisraelim are
mitzvah? Pshita, says the Gemara. The
Kohanim, Levi'im, Yisraelim pturei.
There is only three categories in Klal
Yisrael, Kohanim, Levi'im, Yisraelim. If
they're patur, who am I going to be
chayev? Who will be chayev? Says the
Gemara, "You're right. Kohanim are
chayev. The chiyuv is on the Kohanim."
That even a kohen is chayev in tzitzis.
The hava amina, that what?
Since a kohen in certain situations
doesn't have to be makpid on shatnez,
and the Torah connects shatnez with
tzitzis, so I think somebody who doesn't
have the halachos of shatnez doesn't
have to wear tzitzis.
There's a certain headdress of kohen
when they wear their bigdei kehuna,
which beged in particular?
The avnet.
This week's parsha.
It's not so pashut that it's only during
the parsha. We can about it maybe the
even after the one is going to say in a
second. Lo haya kamashma. It says the
need this to be then avodah but lo idan
avodah lo yishmi.
During the avodah says the Gemara that's
when it's mutar after avodah not. I'm
just saying the Rishonim say does it
mean avodah my mission they are allowed
to walk around in the Beit Hamikdash
with that is etc. Okay.
But the point is it's not always mutar
then. It's a special
special heter that they have while they
do the avodah and therefore they are
chayav big tzitzit. Says the Gemara Rav
Shimon ben Gamliel my tamah Rav Shimon
says women are not chayav tzitzit
because they are re'is moshe. Pratiksus
layla.
Since it says re'is moshe you have to
see it
so something beged in those days they
didn't have fluorescent lights LEDs they
didn't have lights. You couldn't see.
You can't see you're you're patur. So
then it becomes a mitzvah
min hagarma. It's dependent on time.
Women are patur. At omer pratiksus layla
o yeino elo pratiksus sus suma.
I just thought about something. I don't
know I have to develop it. I'm going to
tell my wife she's patur from going to
chassidus because it's mitzvah min
hagarma. It's it's something I don't
know I have to develop something it's
like it's it's time dependent. Time
dependent it can't depend on you. You
know what I'm saying?
You have no idea what I'm saying. Okay.
>> [laughter]
>> Your wife is on time so you have no
clue. You have you have okay good.
>> [clears throat]
>> O yeino elo pratiksus suma.
Or perhaps
re'is moshe means you have to see it. So
if a blind person can't see he's patur.
No shmuel amar shas chassiva hariksus
suma amar
omati mikayem re'is moshe asher shas
chassiva means any type of clothing that
you cover yourself. So why does it say
re'is moshe pratiksus layla it's coming
to exclude a night garment.
Again night garment can machlokes
Rishonim does it mean that you're
wearing a day garment during the night
or means a night garment like pajamas?
It can mean both. Amar Rav Ashi sus suma
sus layla. We have two things that we
could deduct. We could take off the the
blind person's clothing or the night
clothing. Who told you what to take off?
My
cuz everybody else could see it so it's
not in the reason.
It makes more sense to take off the
night garment cuz no one could see it.
Rabbanan Rabbanan say that at night you
are having tsitsis.
How should
what do they do?
We're going to get to the real in a
second. Just hold on tight. This is
stuff that we did already actually and
simple.
It says four corners.
It means to exclude if you have a
three-cornered garment, you're not
having tsitsis.
But there's another option. Four could
also mean that if you have five, you
potter. Who told you which one to take
off?
Maybe it's it's coming to exclude a
five-cornered garment, but a
three-cornered garment would be having
tsitsis.
Means every garment. Every garment
includes the five.
The
obvious question
is why?
It says four. You could exclude five.
You could exclude three. Who told you
which one to exclude? Tell you why. Very
simple.
Because a five-cornered garment also has
four corners in it. To get to five, you
have to do four.
Fine. In a three-cornered garment
doesn't have four corners in it so
therefore it makes sense to to get rid
of it.
R' Shimon Mashnafko.
Okay. He uses that
if you have a night so what do you say
you have to see it?
Reason why it's hard to say. So this is
very important. That's it. Here's that
guy though.
When you Why do we Why do we wear
tsitsis? Or reason why you look at it.
You
and then you remember. Remits zoo was
Look at the tsitsis and then you
remember something that's dependent on
it
Zoo creatures
Christmas connected to the snow
the beginning of this
Mommy what did he do?
He pulled the white
wool out of the dye and it was white and
suddenly part of it changed to blue and
then then he said look this white and
blue You have to see the difference. No
light you can't tell the difference
between blue the light blue and white.
Thank you though. I believe there's
people that are a lot of people
certainly 20% of people are color blind,
right? So I think one of the
soon they can't see blue so well, no?
Some reds some reds brown brown
>> differentiate it, right?
>> Browns are the are the tricky. Yeah?
Yeah.
brown
>> browns greens
Okay.
They shouldn't be doing this test maybe.
You got to love it. Thank you though.
What reason is
there's another one another brother that
says
You see this
with cotton. Ray Mitzvah Zoo is going to
miss the carrots of
what are you supposed to remember not
something that's dependent on it but
something that's next to it this is a
climb to remember about the issue of
also to remember that in this there is
no of
dealing with a lot.
And right away it says right after it
says you should make thank you though.
What reason is there? Call me sister.
Should remember all of this.
Give me some time what am I missing Zoo?
When a person becomes Zoo then he's in
all the first one of the first he does
in the morning is he puts on his that's
when he becomes in all the
turning of the day.

We had a
son here yesterday so I said I'll crime
in Lithuania it's always used to tell
back home by Mr. Buck and would say
Look at your scissors.
And remember one mix with that means
something to you. One mix with connected
to a Shabbos whatever. Look at your
scissors.
Every time you look at your scissors you
will remember that way.
And once it becomes ingrained in you,
add a second mix with.
As you go in your life, he says if I
would have done it starting your age I
would have been at 6:13 already. That's
how that's how you get scissors. I
remember all the mixes. One by one.
Yeah, just to tell the they don't know.
Editor of all of shots English and
Hebrew. Tremendous just his show was 3
minutes away from here. It was
unbelievable loss. Very young
Shouldn't say
it's my grandma.
This we said a few times already that
scissors means is is 100. 100 plus the
top is 400 600.
The five knots and the eight strings
613. The time you do.
Scissors I have to say over here the
villain going to famous villain going
say many times but over here it's very
important. Right on his death bed right
a few minutes before he left her.
He grabbed his scissors and says and he
started crying and tears in his eyes
says in this world you could buy this
for a few copper could whatever it is a

And you can be a mix with that brings a
connection to you you can be to see the
rest of the world says in a second.
In the world to come no matter what you
do you could jump up and down you could
run around the block 100 times you'll
never be able to buy another mix with.
You have to have a right in this world.
This mix with scissors is equal to all
the mixes.
real the see.
Human nature is when you see something
it reminds you of something. It reminds
you of something you do something.
When you're
exceptional at this mitzvah you're you
do it
I don't know how to translate Zohar so
well. You do quickly, you do it
properly.
Then you Zohar and you see
the the the Shekinah. The Shekinah the
Rebbe Nachman of Breslov.
Same lashon so you see that reason I saw
the Shekinah Kavyochol. Torah Rabbah.
Chavivin Yisrael she as I call you the
mitzvahs. Look at this. Hashem loves us.
And he gave us mitzvahs to surround us.
To protect us.
To watch over us. Tefillin b'rosh
einayim u'tefillin b'zeroa einayim. So
how many is that? Two.
Tefillin on our head and our hand that's
two.
How much is that?
Another four. This is Rashi. Even though
we pass in the right Rebbe says
it's four mitzvahs.
But we said Chachamim say it's one
mitzvah. But nevertheless it's four
physical things that surround us. So
total six.
U'mezuzah l'vavcha and then you have a
seventh.
The mezuzah on the door.
That's what Rebbe Nachman said seven
things have to give you shivah y'mei
shivah y'mei shivah y'mei shivah y'mei
shivah
When Rebbe Nachman was in the bathhouse
he didn't have his tefillin on. He
didn't have his tzitzis on.
Omer oyli she'emud arom b'lo mitzvah.
How could I stand there without any
mitzvahs?
We we walk around with the bris milah
that's that's a
uh one of the things that that protects
us. So he's he's okay.
Rebbe Chaim Vital says how come Rebbe
Nachman didn't feel arom when he went to
sleep?
What about the tzitzis? He didn't go to
sleep. Oh, so that's that's something
that I had a problem. He only uh shish
and mish and cetera.
It's not a skisos.
But he says that you see from here that
Dovid Hamelech went to sleep with his
sisters.
And the Magen Avraham, huh?
And the mezuzah, I know. Yeah, all these
questions. But I'm just saying what the
Chazon Ish says. Magen Avraham argues.
>> [snorts]
>> Nachash he also shiro.
Shneimar
shminis. He went from seven to eight.
What's eight? Mizmor Dovid al amilo
shneidim shminis. He's referring to the
eighth day of the milah.
It it It provides a shmira that you
shouldn't sin.
You have to have these tfillin on your
hands. One day Be'ezras Hashem soon when
Mashiach comes we'll all be wearing
tfillin all day long.
will save you when you have all these
things around you.
Why did Hashem pick blue?
The famous Gemara, we mentioned it shat
cheilis domeh l'yam.
It reminds us of the ocean. V'yam domeh
l'rakia. And the ocean reminds us of the
heaven. V'rakia l'kisei hakavod.
And the heaven reminds us of
the kisei hakavod. Shneimar
k'masai l'vein us a safir.
Uh the guys from
Mishkan Tcheiles gave me this. Even
safir
is similar to color of tcheiles. This is
what the luchos were made out of. Even
safir. This is what they This the
sapphire.
Uk'etzem hashamayim l'tohar. It says
that the uh the kisei hakavod is
described the kisei hakavod
from safir.
Uk'ein tziv even safir d'mus kisei.
Somebody once asked, I forgot who it
was. It's a famous maiseh. Said, "I
don't understand. I look at my tzitzis
all day
and I don't I don't remember the kisei
hakavod.
What's pshat?"
He says it depends where your head is.
Says the When the Gemara says that if
you see a woman's clothing hanging on
clothesline, you You look at it. Cuz
that you understand?
He says, "Yeah, that I that I get." He
says, "Oh, so where's your head?"
That entire visit you understand? So,
how come you don't have take the same
thing to the Rebbe
got to show you this thing for a second.
This is Rebbe This is when a when an
artist goes a little mashugana, okay?
This is like artist on steroids. So,
this is the You see the ocean in the
ceiling. This is like in D.C.
This guy goes in a little daydream. I
would have finished it off a little
differently, but okay.
Remember
Elon Musk gives [music] you a ride.
SpaceX
>> [snorts]
>> Just put on the bottom [music] of my
copy.net to pay me.
>> [laughter]
>> All right.
Um
Oh, one more. Let's just do this these
two lines here. Tanya
Can I have a second to say?
>> [music]
>> Oh, one minute. It's over?
Oh. I don't know what I'm going to do.
Okay.
That's what he he should have woken up
in the like in in like in a in a sheer.
Like somebody else's sheer. Like some
Benny! Benny!
Oh.
Tanya, how do you know you have a good
lunch and you have a lot of energy and
you have a lot of energy and you have a
lot of energy and you have a lot of
energy and you have
The easier the mitzvah, the bigger the
owners is. So, it's much easier to get
white than the blue. So, you get a you
get a bigger of error, bigger owners for
not taking care of the white scissors.
Why don't you do white?
Blue, okay.
I didn't see this. I'm doing I'm doing
this the first time with you. You should
fetch me a signet ring made of pure
gold. And you, my lad, should fetch me a
clay signet ring.
Well, both of them didn't bring it. They
both didn't bring it.
What happened? I don't know. I Mom can
see this here.
I don't know what it is. I don't know.
But they both didn't bring it at the
As I mentioned before, who gets a bigger
punishment?
Ah, they were they got drunk in the bar.
And they came late. Okay, I got it. Now
I got it.
Who gets the bigger punishment? I have
you all in my head. I shall have you all
in my head. I shall have you all in my
head. I shall have you all in my head.
The one that was supposed to bring
the the the simpler one.
>> All I asked you to do was get me a
simple clay ring, and you failed?
Okay. So, the result of learning this
says the more you get it after we have
to remember from this Gamara, he says
that if a person is doing chuvah, the
first thing you should take care of are
the simple things.
Like
uh
whatever the example is, let's say
somebody
uh smokes a cigarette 3 minutes before
uh Motzei Shabbos. Say it's a Shabbos.
It's a much greater aveira than somebody
that smokes in the middle of the day.
It's It's already there. Something
that's harder to do is less of a issur.
So, it's it's if
to learn with a chavrusah b'iyun is a
lot harder than than opening up a
YouTube and watching a shiur. So, you
get in the you get a bigger onus for not
doing MDY. Rebboise, have a wonderful
day.
