>> GOOD
MORNING BOYS.
>> [screaming]
>> LIVE.
FROM MARRAKECH, MOROCCO.
Somebody asking, what am I wearing here?
So.
I'll show you a little video.
Before. First of all, reminder to say
shalom.
Like to show you this video. This might
explain part of it.
Here we go.
>> [music]
>> What what are you watching
over here?
>> [music]
>> And I've stopped watching.
>> [singing]
[music]
>> Oh, so we [music] took this voice
advice. We got the mark list.
That's That's the right thing we got
here.
I ripped my pants by the way.
No, on my knee.
Oh.
So basically the monkey
drew some blood
and dirtied my shirt.
So that's it. And for the rest of the
trip I have to wear this shirt.
Yeah.
Now what about the jacket? It's a
different story. Okay, so
we here it's about I want to say maybe
1:00 in the morning for us in Israel.
What time is it now here?
Right Right Right around 1:00 in the
morning. So the one was a little tired.
So we got to get
a little enthusiastic over here. We got
to get a stick of shalom. Oh, we got
They're gone. The players.
You have Let me Let me just spin this
camera around for a second. Everybody
can see shalom aleichem.
It's a nice crowd here.
Mom is Mom is beautiful in Morocco.
The valley. Okay.
Um
You We saw a little bit of Yousef. We'll
see We'll more of him later. I want to
read this email. And the reason why I
want to read it is because
a lot of times people they judge
other people. And they judge other
people by the cover.
We have over here three great brothers.
Mom is great. Listen to their email.
Hunter,
Shawn, and Spencer, right?
And we have two Briskers. Two guys from
Brisk that came that month of Shavuos.
And if you were to bump into the Zeitlin
brothers, the long hair, you say, "Okay,
they're hockey players. Nothing more
than that."
Now, listen to this email. I think it's
very very important to hear this.
As you've seen in the sponsors over the
past week, me and my very close friend
Ethan Zelig
have been doing Daf Yomi for
500 days over seven Masechtos.
First of all, I want to thank Ethan
because even though he's not a hockey
player with crazy hair, he's the only
reason that those kids ever come to MDY.
When I joined MDY in Sanhedrin, I kept
doing the cardinal sin of Daf Yomi. I
fell back and tried catching up. I never
fell back more than five days and ended
up finishing Masechta with Daf Yomi in
Makos. I was better Oh, sorry. Daf Yomi.
In Makos, I was better, but still missed
days here and there.
At my middle school, we were able to get
Listen to this.
14 kids to finish Makos with MDY at our
Siyum.
And And with MDY at our Siyum, Ethan
mentioned how he's not missed a day.
I've never told him this, but the day
Shavuos that base, I promised myself
I'll do the Daf every day physically
possible.
This past week, I've learned my 500 Daf,
but I've also went days without missing
a single
Daf Yomi. That day daf yomi.
>> [cough]
>> And I never understood what it's about
what
what it's not about the daf, it's about
the yomi really meant. Because yes, the
yomi is what makes it special. You're
learning the daf tomorrow. But now I
understand because the yomi is what
makes me feel like I'm obligated to stay
up no matter how late to learn some
Torah. Whether it's 1:00 a.m. daf in
camp, nothing but the daf post bar
mitzvah.
Yeah, so this is unbelievable. He says
it in one word. But I think what he
means is that after his own bar mitzvah,
when he danced night away and had to
give a speech and he's exhausted, he sat
there and he did the daf afterwards.
The yomi is what makes a 14-year-old
stay up after seder because he
physically cannot go day without the daf
after the seder.
Pesach night at 1:00 in the morning, he
physically cannot go a day without the
daf.
14-year-old.
The yomi is the bus ride to school, the
bike rides to mincha, the dinner and the
daf and doing the dishes. The reason
it's not about the daf, it's about the
yomi is because when you commit to the
yomi, you become the yomi. And once you
are the yomi, you'll always have the
daf.
Because the only explanation of
14-year-old who can't sit in class for
30 minutes and hates doing his homework
learning whether in arshkal video and
now the official edition of the Yasha's
with official.
The official MDY Shas for over 45
minutes. I don't want to single the
official out at the dinner, but I mean
Myers, yes.
1:00 a.m. people.
It's no, it's going to be like that and
then all layla. Yeah.
But Remeyer, everybody knows Remeyer and
what he's done and what he's doing and
uh you should call him. He's just
getting better. This tomorrow is getting
better and better and I have a major
chappie here and I got to talk to you.
It's going to be good about it. No, it's
not going to cost you any money.
>> [laughter]
>> Do you have your money? Whether or not
it's going to No, no, no, it's not it's
not No, I'll tell you what it is. I'm
adding I think I want to do pictures in
every single daf.
We're going to stick out. We're going to
have charts and pictures. We're going to
hire a schmucky guy just for that. It's
going to be good about it. And on the
visual edition of the Yishai's for over
45 minutes every single day for a year
without fail is that Listen to this and
this is it.
I am the Oimy.
Thanks so much for allowing me to become
this, Hunter Zaitlin.

Hey. you weren't If you weren't tired

seven courses later,
from duck to sweet breads, if you ate
that and you didn't know what it was,
I'm just telling you it's somebody's
brain.
And then we had It's not a knish, it
wasn't chicken Kiev, it's called
a pastel. Kids are chicken Kiev with
some blurs.
>> [laughter]
>> That's a schmuck of a potato.
You schmuck of the
chicken filled with potato. Yeah, call
it whatever you want.
I saw that that that that same exact
chicken for years in Midwest Conference
Center in Chicago.
>> [laughter]
>> We're We're doing dub you'd base. Ah.
Ah. It's mighty.
So, listen, we're going to have a We
have a great a great dub here.
Omar Nachman Omar Rab.
So, here's the question.
I'm going to throw out a question and
you tell me what you think.
If
somebody is
doing a knife practice on a wall, he's
trying to hit the the bull's eye on the
wall, and he throws a knife at the wall,
and as he's throwing the knife at the
wall, a cow walks by
and has his neck shechted.
Is that a good shechita or not? Because
he obviously did not mean to shecht
anything. He was trying to do dart
practice, knife practice. What does the
alum say?
Good shechita or not good shechita?
You say no, you say good.
Ah, that's That's a very I think I
Very good. Very good. So, that's one of
the interesting cases that we're going
to see.
Says the Gemara,
I do want to show you something that has
slightly to do with the with the Gamorah
later.
Oh, it's not in here.
Oh, it did. It is in here.
Okay, maybe should I show it or not show
it? That's my shala. Should I show it
now?
I'll show later. Okay.
Omar of Nachman Rava Shmuel Shochet
If you witness the shchita
And this is my choyon could happen here
in Marrakech, you know.
You
You could possibly see a shchita
suddenly and you don't know who the
shochet is. Imra mitchela at if you if
you saw the entire shchita from
beginning to end muta lachum shchitaso
then you're permitted to eat from his
shchita. What's the concern? The concern
is that the guy doesn't know halacha.
He's going to do a drisa, which is very
common, meaning he's going to put
downward pressure or upward pressure,
depending what position he's in, but
he's not going to do a back and forth
slice.
You're allowed to You're allowed to eat
from the shchita. Why? Cuz you saw that
he was okay. V'im lav, if you didn't you
didn't witness the whole thing, osur
lachum shchitaso. Ask the Gamorah what's
the case. If the other the Gamorah, if
you know for a fact this guy knows
halacha, lo amur then you don't need to
watch him. That's what we saw. Eidei
b'sur a person is believed to say that
he himself did the shchita. It says
I believe that was the possuk, something
like that, to the point where the possuk
says you do shchita you eat.
V'ei the other the Gamorah, if you know
for a fact that he's not a talmid
chacham, he doesn't know halachos
shchita, of course you need to watch him
from beginning to end.
V'ela
perhaps there's a third option. D'lo
yada Gamorah You have no clue. You're in
Marrakech.
You see a guy that claims to be Jewish
doing shchita.
You don't know if he's good or not.
So what's the tzad? So So let's say you
don't know. So why should it be okay not
to watch him?
Cuz the Gamorah says leima there's a
svara to say roim at shchita mumchim
head. We have a road. There's a road
that tells me the most people that
deal with Shkreli Tom
You're not going to mess around with
Shkreli Tom if you don't know what
you're doing.
Most guys are average person that has
nothing that doesn't know anything about
Shkreli is not going to shock. It's a
road. So we go with the road. We just
had also yesterday what do you know
road. This is for sure road the less
come on. I mean you can't count how many
people know Shkreli don't know Shkreli
deal with Shkreli not deal with Shkreli.
Oh we have a road. I don't know what I'm
saying that should have worked.
You like Tanya are you sure you're going
to go to school to be shocked?
You found
a chicken shocked it in the in the
market place. Mom Mom kiss from a sham
who just in the shock.
Unbelievable.
I show him Shkreli saying Shkreli the
whole month of Shkreli.
So this is the road you tell your
guy.
I wish oh my back. Listen they should
really show a video of my my back.
It might just
I they said listen you have nothing to
worry about.
There's a lot of there's a lot of
a lot of security and even if you don't
know about it they're there.
I happen to be on the last wagon.
How many wagons do we have?
14 wagons I was in the last last one.
carriages
two horses and a carriage there's about
two people for two people in each one. I
had four I had the source to be with a
couple.
And
as right before we're going to go this
guy tall dude with a black suit
looked impressive jumps onto the
carriage. Okay so I hopped that he's
part of the security.
But then it took me 5 10 minutes to
realize that there's a motorcycle with
two guys with guns
with us the entire time. And when we
stopped, they stopped. Every time
And and then when there was a little bit
of an issue with traffic, they zoomed
ahead and they stopped traffic. Then
they came back to being in the back.
That's how it was. Then we get into the
marketplace. All of a sudden, this guy
that's in the front of of my wagon is
standing next to me.
I look at him, he looks at me. So I I
wasn't sure, so I start
walking to the right, so he walks to the
right. I walk backwards, he walks
backwards.
So then I start running. She start
running.
She would have They told him, "Don't
leave this guy for a second." So they
didn't leave him. The entire was just a
little embarrassing and uh but it was
interesting. It was interesting. I have
to say it was interesting. My wife
didn't want to have anything with it and
that's why she was she was not there
with me the entire time.
But it was very it's very cool. So
that's the shuk.
But they were there the whole time
walkie-talkies and coordinating.
Masha'allah.
Two guys came over to us and said, "Free
flat Palestine."
So the guy that was with me walked over
to them. He said something to them and
they started running like rats.
Full speed,
but they didn't stop. They kept on
going. And I I was just I was just
impressed the entire time. Anybody try
to sell us anything, perfume, this, they
disappeared. We don't know what
happened. A lot of dead dead guys in the
shuk.
They neutralized them.
So anyways, so at least for that it was
good.
>> [snorts]
>> Biter. So,
Oy, shalom aleichem shalom aleichem
shalom aleichem shalom aleichem.
So this is very interesting. You tell
your best friend, Reuben, "Go ahead and
do me a favor. I'm having a party
tonight. Shecht an animal for me."
You come home,
you come home and you find a shechted
animal on your counter top.
Now, you're not sure who shechted it.
So I thought
it happens. Guys The guys in the Hebrew
shuk they looked at me like I was crazy.
So, I'm just going to say for the
English guys, maybe they'll appreciate
it more.
Does it ever happen to anybody here? I
don't know. It happens to me all the
time. Uh for example, let's say I want I
want my son to bring me a cup of water.
I think to myself,
this guy needs kosher. So, I'm going to
give him exactly what he would have
gained. So, I say, "Yoyel,
give me some uh give me some water."
A minute later, my wife shows up with a
cup of water. Like, "What are you
doing?" Like, "I don't I'm not really
thirsty. I want this kid to to get some
of the hava."
That's what it seems like over here. I I
tell this guy, "Do me a favor. Go shuck
something for me." A minute later, it's
shucked, but somebody else like why who
asked you? I didn't ask you, I asked
him.
But, you know, the guy wanted to to help
out, so he shucked it. Maybe that's what
happened.
I didn't see this. So, let's see there's
something
Shalom Aleichem, Reb Chaim.
Where is your garbage?
It's over there.
>> [snorts]
>> It's a nice clean house, but in the
garbage can, oh, this is mamzer sugia.
You think this is off? This is the sugia
right here.
So, we're going to see like this.
There's actually three three
possibilities. You find a dead cow in a
heap of garbage in middle of the
Marrakech market.
What does that tell us? The chareira.
What is that? Kosher or not kosher?
Very not kosher. An aveila.
You find a dead
animal
in your house, on the kitchen table
or you find a dead animal in your
garbage can.
So, if it's on your kitchen table, what
does that tell me?
It's kosher. It's good.
What if you find a dead animal in your
garbage can?
That's the That's the shaila. That's the
machlokes really. [clears throat]
So, let's see inside.
>> [snorts]
>> Cuz cuz he shochet, you find it in your
house, it's great.
Machlokes because
we have a raiv.
Who shocheted it? I don't know. Is it
Ruvein that I told him to shochet it?
It's another guy, but most people that
shochet are mumchin.
So, therefore,
why don't we say in our case, if I don't
know
whether this guy is knows halacha or
not, I'm in
in Marrakech and I see some Yid
shocheting an animal. We have a raiv. If
he's shocheting an animal, he knows what
he's doing.
So, why don't we say the same raiv?
Says the Gemara, in our case, lay down
the other lay gomer. We're talking about
a situation where a guy
knows for a fact that this person
shocheting
has no clue. Doesn't know halacha.
We can go in the shochet come on chotzei
mashabeh.
There's two simanim you have to shochet.
And he shocheted one out of the two, and
I saw that he did a great job. But then
it happened to me. Today I was
sniffing those those spices,
and all of a sudden I had a sneeze.
You're unconscious for a moment over
there. You like You have no idea where
sneeze, and then you you turn around,
and the second siman is already
shocheted.
Now what?
The chiyur it should be okay. No. No
good. Now the same over the high shafir
achana mi shafir. Look, he did a great
job on the first siman, so the second
siman as well.
Beginner's luck. The reason why you did
well on the first one is it happens.
But
on the second semen have to be concerned
maybe he paused, maybe he applied some
pressure unnecessary downward pressure
instead of just nice a nice slice.
By me of Dimi by yourself mirror of
nothing.
Here's a interesting quiz question.
Those who didn't hear this year earlier.
What nothing you know would there be a
halacha
between
a shita knife that's super long
or short?
What would be the nothing you know
halacha?
>> [sighs and gasps]
>> Interesting. No, I see no one knows the
answer. No one knows the answer.
Toma?
No, you're saying it's a that's a second
you're saying the long second from that
sugar over there that be careful of
Toma. No, I'm saying a different
different thing.
Whether or not you have to go back and
forth. There's an interesting halacha.
The halacha you have to go forwards and
backwards provided it's a short knife.
But if it's a long knife
then one one long motion. Okay, that
will that's coming up. By me Dimi by
yourself mirror of nothing. By the way,
we have a very short on base.
What?
Yeah, it's always short. No, it's always
short to
do but
Oh.
Do that one? Okay, I got it.
By me of Dimi by yourself mirror of
nothing. Of Dimi by yourself mirror of
nothing.
I tell Momish what we just discussed as
if we didn't discuss it.
I tell my best friend go ahead do me a
favor, shuck me an animal. Balaha and I,
the balabice who sent my friend to
shuck, I come home and I want to shuck
and I find an animal that's shucked.
Now, what's the law?
All my life is
you you could you could have relied on
that it's a good shita.
I don't know
say what you're trying.
Now they want to say what is the
difference between this case that I just
said, that I tell somebody to shuck, and
at the end I find something shucked, but
I have no idea who shucked it. Is the
guy I told him to shuck or somebody
else?
To where similar case.
I tell somebody go, I have 100 fruit on
my in my dining room. Do me a favor,
take two of them, put on the side for
the client, take another 9.8, put on the
side for the lady, then take another 10
and put on the side for
my shiny.
Leave me 80 on the side, basically. 20
over here, 80 over there.
Round it up.
You come home and you find perfect
piles, 80 and 20. What happened?
It's possible that the guy that I told
him to do it,
Jamie, what are you wearing over there?
Get over here.
You'll make me feel comfortable. Come,
come, come.
Shalom aleichem, Jamie. I would talk in
Moroccan. Well, actually no. We have the
Are you guys actually Moroccan?
Yeah, they are.
>> [laughter]
>> Now now he's here Moroccan, give him
Moroccan kiss. Here he goes. There we
go.
Reb [snorts] Isaac, we'll smooth later.
All my lay.
Listen to this. You walk into your
house, you ask somebody,
"Hey Mark, Mark Ashkenazi, could you
please take trumah for my fruit? I want
to have a good meal tonight. He said,
"Sure." I come back home and sure
enough, everything is perfect. There's a
pile of 80 on this side, there's a pile
of 20 on this side. You look at it and
he says, "Yeah." But I'm not sure if he
did it. Maybe somebody else did it.
What's a halakha?
Can't eat from it. I don't know who did
it. But maybe I don't know who did it. I
told him to do it.
But maybe somebody overheard and he did
it. And then what's the problem? We're
going [snorts] to learn a mode of
halakha. This is a very big problem when
it comes to trumah. Very, very big
problem. Says the Gemara, first of all,
let's let's get to the question. Mon of
shakh.
I have a problem, dilemma. Ekhah zokheh
she'eilah zeh shnei chushai. If I could
rely on Mark to do what I asked him to
do and he says he's going to do it, so
he's going to do it. Af ilu trumah nami,
then I should rely that he did it for
the trumah, then I should be able to eat
the fruit.
Ve'einkha zokheh she'eilah zeh shnei
chushai. But if we I don't have such a
chazakah, af ilu shkhinah nami lo. So
then how could I rely on Mark that he
did the shkhitah for me? Why is shkhitah
any different than trumah? On shkhitah I
believe him or I don't believe. I trust
that he did what I asked him to do and
trumah I don't trust it.
O my lady, this is a beautiful,
beautiful lesson. Vekhi teikhol alah
kurah demilkha. You know what? If you
want me to answer you, you have to pay
me big time.
So pay me big time.
Or
eat eat a ton of salt and then you'll
you'll be sharp enough to understand. So
raboisai, this is
we had such an watching this video that
we watched it three times in a row and
every time we laughed again.
To explain it, you have to know the
classic Mindy Auerbach who's imitating
his great rosh yeshivah, Zev Feldman
Baruchah.
Baruch Mordechai Ezrachi. Here goes.
Mendy, where are you? Let's hear a
gushmak al nu. MENDY!
AL NU!
I LOVE IT. [laughter]
JUST THAT I LOVE. YEAH, I GOT TO WATCH
THAT AGAIN.
>> were you? Let's hear Gushmak Elunu. MAY
SAY.
ELUNU.
HE DOES IT WITH THE THE PAUSE. OKAY.
Now that you know that,
my boy say, we we dug this up. We dug it
up.
There's one No one No one has this video
besides MDY
of Reb Boruch Mordechai himself
telling a bochur,
"If you want to hear me say Elunu, pay
up."
Elunu.
>> [laughter]
>> It's smiting. Smiting in the belt.
Who comes up with this stuff? Why?
>> [laughter]
>> What was this guy What was Shmuel
thinking that day when he made this
thing? Nachman Nachman Nachman.
Look at him. It smells real.
It's him.
It'd be much better with his yarmulke,
no?
L'chayim tegel kura d'nucha. It's a
whole kura d'milcha.
Elunu.
>> [laughter]
>> But he doesn't bang.
Oh, when my Had he done this?
Okay, anyway.
Ah, it smells like this like this today.
So, what do you want to do?
Oh, so he asked him a question. He says,
"What's the difference between shchita
and trumah?" He says, "You know what? If
you pay me, I'll tell you." Then what?
Lo ilu min
We don't rely on Mark. Mark said he's
going to do it. He forgot.
But Shita is different cuz let's say
somebody else the betting did it, okay?
But why would he do it if he doesn't
know he's doing? Nobody touches a Shita
knife and checks animals that no one.
But we have a good rove that tells us
that anybody who's doing Shita knows
what he's doing. He knows the laws.
But Truma here, oh, this is the
punchline. Once you hear this, you'll
understand everything. Truma, let's
say Benny did it.
But Benny doesn't have the right to do
it. You can't be a nice guy when it
comes to Truma. Truma, you have to be
asked to do.
You can't just do it for somebody.
That's considered doing Truma without
the permission of the owner even though
you tried to do something good for him.
Ain't Truma say Truma, it doesn't work.
It works by Shita but not by a
Says the Gamara,
don't tell me
I forgot to to show this.
No, no, no, here we go. Okay.
Lema says the Gamara Lema
Shita Mon and tonight.
Maybe this whole concept that we're
discussing that there's a rove that
anybody that touches a knife knows what
he's doing is actually a This I know.
A person
his his goats, his chickens went
missing. What happened? What happened?
A guy stole them.
I love this story because it
There's a lot of emus to it.
It's emus to the story but there's a lot
Reb Chaim Brisker was asked by his
talmidim if they could eat by a meal
that's being prepared by the head of the
the thieves, the head ganef
in in Brisk over there.
So he said, "Call him over. I want to
speak to him first before we could pass
him."
So he called him over. He said, "Listen,
do you do you steal?"
He comes from a firm background, this
kind of
"Do you steal in jobs?" He said, "I've
had a lot of fair opportunities to steal
in jobs." "What about Yom Kippur?"
"Yeah."
Let's say let's say
you find a pig. Will you steal? "Yes, we
steal pigs also."
He said
"Do you eat pig?" He said, "Mr. Sugar,
no. No, I don't eat pig."
He says, "What what do you mean you
don't eat pig? But be makhalel Shabbos
and Yom Kippur is worse than eating pig.
You know that?"
He says, "Don't mix the Rav shouldn't
mix up the two things.
One is business.
The other is this. The business business
I do I do
Business is business. Parnassah is
parnassah.
But but chazis
chazis shomayim I don't touch chazis."
So he said maybe he said I'm pretty sure
he said that you could eat from this
guy's seudah.
This is big. Tzaddik stole a bunch of
goats, but he shochted them. He's a he's
a tzaddik. He shochted he put on the
side.
Reb Yehudah says, "This is you can't eat
from it." Reb Chanina ben Reb Yehoshua
ben Reb Yosi says matter. So let's
remember. It's hard to remember. Reb
Yosi says Reb Yehudah says ossur. Reb
Chanina We don't need to remember the
whole name. Reb Chanina ben Reb Yehoshua
ben Reb Yosi says muttar.
Omar Rebbi He says, "Rebbi, listen. Reb
Yehudah ben Reb Yosi says ossur
I like what Reb Yehudah is saying that
it's ossur to eat when he finds it in
the garbage can. But Reb Chanina In
those days you know that it was
unbelievable.
The the the closest I ever got is the
one I went to You know what I'm talking
about. When you go into Mea Shearim
after the when they do the fires over
there, so they won't they won't clear
the garbage for a few days. No Reb
Yehudah. Piles of piles. And they
punished them. "You want to burn burn
here. We're not going to take the
garbage." Because they burned the
garbage cans whatever. I was once there.
It's unbelievable. Like a garbage
strike. I think in New York they had a
one. No?
That's it. In in the olden days, that's
it was everywhere. We There's no
disposal, so you used to There's a pile
in the middle of the city.
A big pile. Nobody.
She says, "I agree with Reb Yehudah when
you find it in the garbage, it's
awesome." That means it's an availa. But
then Reb Reb Hanina and Reb Shimon bar
Yochai agree that says it's muttar when
it comes to a matter of a base.
We're going to see later on the Gemara
says the Rebbes not
determining who the halacha is like.
"Oh, I like him. I like him." All Rebbes
doing is says that everybody agrees to
these These are pashta things that
Reb Yehudah is going to agree in all
situations that it's muttar it's assur
like this and it's muttar like that. And
Reb Hanina is going to
They're argue They're going to argue in
the middle case.
My love.
Or my saba lo chayer, the Gemara wants
to say that this machlokes like this of
the roiv that we have a roiv that people
that deal with shchita, they know what
they're doing, is actually a machlokes
between Reb Yehudah Reb Hanina.
There's no force to say that. The kuli
alma Reb Hanina says it's shchita
mumkin. No, you can say
everybody agrees that if you're dealing
with shchita, you know what you're
doing, you know the halacha.
And nobody argues in the house the shari
if you find a shechted animal on your
kitchen table and you
in your in your kitchen period,
it's good. It's kosher.
And the ashpos bashuk, the kuli alma lo
pleig d'asra. Here we have a little
video here.
Another litzonus.
Oh, we saw some of these cats today in
the shuk.
They're some some of the weirdest cats.
Yeah, yeah, not
Now, has anybody been to the neighbor
and Sukkot they know exactly what this
device is?
That means
Is this thing on the table, right?
It wouldn't move. It wouldn't move this
calf.
>> [crying]
[snorts]
>> Okay, so he threw the navela If you have
a navela, you throw it into the ash fish
of a sugar. Everybody agrees that that's
treif.
All the navelas Keep playing but ash
fall sugar by is
as you advise. So, I wanted to be a more
of a sugar by. I think you would you
would agree to me. The more of a sugar
by but you live in Eretz Yisrael, so you
could appreciate also the second part.
Those who didn't, I don't know.
One of the kind of that
based on garbage, you can figure out who
a person is.
You You tell me a little bit about your
garbage behavior and I can tell you who
you are.
There's There's the husband.
Yeah, my love, this is not for you to
listen.
There's a husband that comes and the
garbage is up to the top.
What does he do?
He puts another thing on top. He tries
to push it in. It doesn't close and he
walks away.
Not my problem.
You know what I'm talking about? No,
whatever. I'm going to the next part.
Not the part that you that you belong
in.
There's the guy
that he comes to the garbage. Mom, it's
full. He puts his foot in it. He He
crunches down. He gives another 6 in and
then
and then there's the guy that he sees
it's still full. He pulls it out. He got
a nice string. He puts a nice bag in.
These are the three types of husbands.
In this room, we have all three types.
I used to be one of each of them.
I graduated.
>> [laughter]
>> But then in Eretz Yisrael, there's
another There's another together.
There's another thing.
There's the guy that takes his garbage
bag out. He lives in a big building. He
lives on the fifth floor.
And he has that drip.
The drip from his apartment all the way
down to the garbage can.
Over here we have four guitarums. Four
guitarums.
We have the guy that takes his shower
shoe
and makes a mix out of it
and goes right there.
You have the guy that takes his sponge
and stick out and mops the sponge up
from top to bottom.
You have a guy, this is the worst. This
is this guy now mops. He He cleans it up
one one floor below where he lives. So
nobody knows that it came out of his
dira.
And they have a guy that says, "Listen,
I pay that a bite.
It's not my problem. This Let somebody
else deal with it." So from these things
you can tell exactly
who and where you're holding in life.
Yeah? Masking? Kimat?
You in Australia have no idea what I'm
talking about.
>> [laughter]
>> You have what I'm saying?
Like, "Woo!" You have to live in
Arizona?
You didn't do the what?
What, after you were married? For how
long?
But you did the garbage thing down the
down the steps?
Well, you lived like in a big house?
There's no garbage. There's no garbage.
I don't want to That gives me trauma,
actually.
One of my kids
the stick of the find. Let's call him
the find. I'm not going to say which
one.
So like, you have to take the garbage
out. He's like, "I'm not taking the
garbage out."
So dude, yeah, you got to take the
garbage out. If you don't take the
garbage out, it's not going to be good.
Nothing in the garbage out.
We lived on the second floor then in
Zavitav.
>> [laughter]
>> He says, "Okay, I'll take the garbage
out." He threw it out the window. It
exploded on the floor. He goes, "You're
happy now?"
And then he lived for 2 years by
Zalman Auerbach. I'm going to say which
one which one of my kids that was.
Where's
He was by the Okay.
Just a stick of the find. He's a great
kid.
>> [laughter]
>> Threw it off the second floor. Yeah. Zog
die Gemara.
>> [snorts]
>> So, Omar matter.
Oh, no, no, no. I think I skipped a
little bit here.
Uh we can go back a little bit. I don't
know where. But basically I'm going to
leave the shower
with the latest, right? Okay, that we
did. Keep playing. Oh, here's the
but I should have a bite. If you find
something in the house, I got to go back
to this. This is a pretty nice. You guys
didn't appreciate it when you saw it.
You remember what's going on. Now we can
see.
The guy maybe could Could you speed it
up a little bit here? Let's start from
over here. I could.
Where is your garbage?
It's over there.
Oh.
Keep playing with the latest.
If you find it in this garbage in in
your house.
>> [screaming]
>> MY SOUL MOSTLY LAUGHING at the blessing
but I should advise.
Yeah, listen. It's it's not a normal
thing to put a dead carcass in your
garbage can at home cuz it really smells
bad.
So, that's the latest here. Some say,
"Yes,
it's normal."
My soul and all the most of the most of
the advice. Most people take it outside
to the to the local dump and not dump it
in their house.
So, may luck if you find it in your
garbage at home,
obviously it's kosher.
Omar matter Omar Rebbi. So, now we're
just going to finish up what We already
discussed this Rebbi and we explained
it, but we'll do it inside. Omar Rebbi
near him the Rebbi who asked I love
Rebbi who does this also. We find it in
the garbage. My husband, what does it
mean? So, listen to this dude. It's It's
good to listen. Pay attention over here.
Where is it also? My husband, you know
what you should be shook. It can't be
the one outside. How is the
everyone in the room here when I asked
them in the beginning, you find the dead
animal in the local
What is it called when they throw dumps
not dumps dumpster? Local
landfill. In the local landfill, it's
the choir trace.
Everybody agrees to that. So, what does
it mean you found it in the ashville?
Can't mean the local dumpster, the local
landfill. And I have to shoot the basket
for advice. It's talking about the
garbage in your house.
And on that review this says what? Also.
I must say for so I have a contradiction
because in the
I could do the exact opposite deal. But
they were
Rebbe says, I like Rebbe
when I find it in the house. My advice,
what does it mean house? You know my
advice my mission, I found it on the
kitchen
table. I have to declare the shower.
Everybody agrees if you find it on the
kitchen table, it's
motor. And I have to shoot the basket
for advice. It must be in the in the
garbage can in your house. What we saw
this guy finding. And on that Rebbe says
it's motor. And Rebbe says it's also
it's contradiction because Rebbe says, I
like Rebbe who says it's also. I like
Rebbe who says it's motor. So, the Rebbe
and the Rebbe for that the Rebbe says,
no. That you base in base.
Near and dear Rebbe, the Rebbe didn't
come to to say I hold like this one or
like that one. That's not That wasn't
his point. His point was that everybody
agrees to certain parameters here.
Rebbe
I'm sorry. Rebbe
likes what Rebbe said. What Rebbe said
that it's also. What we talking about
the local dump. That even Rebbe agrees
that it's also. So, Rebbe
Rebbe
He only argued on the on the house one.
And then the near him the opposite. In
other words, everybody is in agreement
that if you find it on your kitchen
table, it's
and everybody's in agreement they find
it in the show. Rebbe wasn't making Oh,
I hold like him and over here and I hold
like He always saying that everybody
holds that. Rebbe Huda and Hanina don't
even argue when it comes to the local
dump that it's a 100% trade. And if it's
on your kitchen table, it's 100% muter.
The whole like this was in your kitchen
garbage. That's where the says. Okay.
Next again, the few days on the base
sponsored by a dark global specialist in
international financial services by
Chaim Milrod.
Unfortunately, we were saying
Refuah Shleimah and now we have to say
L'ilui Nishmas Imi Morasi Fradel bas
Chana Leah Shalom.
Um yeah, okay. We just switched that,
okay? Quick switch. We'll switch it
back.
Chaim should have a
Nechama his whole family and she should
be a Meilitz Yosher for your family and
of all of Klal Yisrael.
So, the coin cannot do shchita cuz they
might ruin it.
So, the imagine that he actually like
that. He doesn't say maybe they ruined
the future.
You cannot give
your simple animal you're not nothing to
do with kosher. You can't give it to a
shochet who doesn't who don't have daas.
Man tan of the
the loy be in of the shchita.
Who's the tanna who says that you don't
need to have kavana when you do shchita?
In other words, you do shchita if you
did it properly, you didn't do anything,
you didn't do she here, you didn't do
you didn't do all this bad stuff. So,
it's a good even though you didn't you
didn't mean you didn't mean to do it.
So, there's a fascinating that I found
today.
The
says
that if a person likes to sing,
he cannot be a
That's what he says. Why?
Because he's constantly singing, he's
not paying attention enough. He's always
singing to himself, he's humming, he's
thinking about his and this and that.
Now, he's not he's not going to make a
good Yes, he has to concentrate.
He says if you're
you're talking about you're talking
about a Jew.
He should he should try to cut down on
his singing. He goes into the whole
thing he wants to be You hear this? You
know about this law?
It's interesting.
So, who's the tower? I guess it's like
it's
whether or not you need a lot.
So, here's a crazy situation. Oh, my
Robin city.
So, Robin city. Here's
a case. A guy is taking knife practice.
He's throwing knives, he's practicing
with that What is it called? It's like
Not darts. The the the Chinese art form,
they take knives and they throw it at
the
axes, knives, whatever it is, at the
bull's eye.
Huh?
The Chinese Chinese stars, exactly.
Huh?
Say whatever. What?
>> [laughter]
>> What? No, it's it's just the funniest
thing in the world that everybody is
just throwing out.
>> [laughter]
>> Words that Yeah, no, it's the Chinese
people that throw. Yeah.
>> [laughter]
>> Yes, sir.
I like this.
Listen, everybody knows that
I could speak a perfect Hebrew. I speak
a perfect English.
So, why do I never know words? Spanish.
Just to get them involved.
>> Yeah, yes.
They feel good about themselves.
They say such stuff and I'm like, "Yeah,
yeah, okay. At least you're not
sleeping."
A little bit more?
Okay.
I'm looking at myself in the screen. It
looks weird. Should I just redo the
share? Yeah, let's do it. No, not at
all. Not at all. It's not as weird as
Yeah, compared to what you looked with
the with the the
Wow, look at you.
>> [snorts]
>> Okay, we're almost done here, everybody.
So, how much how long are we into this
year?
51 52 minutes. Okay.
We're almost done. One speed is so hard.
>> [laughter]
>> Listen, hey, hold on. No, no, no filter.
The boy said, "Check this out." This is
based on Yousef today. He was He gave us
a drasha on the bus. I'll actually play
the whole drasha. It's a mighty good
drasha, what he said. This is me giving
out gemaras to local Muslims.
So, hold on. Here's Yousef. Maybe you
Maybe you want to hear Yousef.
Listen to this. English English.
MYD
>> [laughter]
>> You love it. Anyways, so that's
the new ad Yousef.
All right, so to the gemara. So, here,
check this out. It's a crazy story. The
guy is throwing a knife
through the air
and
I'm going to ask the Ham, there's an
animal walking by.
Masha Adam and
it gets its neck as they go and shut it.
The
exactly the most of the
this is why cuz you don't need you don't
have to have Kabbalah. You don't have to
have Shimon.
Who told me law? Rebbie Shimon himself
says it
and explains how law could be an
awesome.
The law could is you don't need to have
Kabbalah. You threw it, you didn't mean
to kill an animal.
There's certainly no Shimon cuz it went
There's no reason cuz there's no
downward pressure. Maybe maybe there's a
Gemara on the knife so you'll check it
out afterwards.
Ask the Gemara
but you have to go back and forth. So,
look what the Gemara says. It's one of
those Gemaras that makes you wow. But I
think like all those Gemaras, some of
them like like I don't understand. How's
it possible?
The point is we're talking about a
theoretical thing that maybe never
happened, never will happen.
But I logically
would that be a good Shimon or not?
Let's say it happened. Let's say on the
let's say
Shimon
and I know exactly what I have is
thinking about what Sugya exactly. I
know exactly what he's thinking about.
It's not similar to that. No, but the
guy made a box and a a whole diagram. No
no no, we're going to go by it. We're
not going to explain.
Obviously if you made a box it's a good
Sugya but
is it possible? I don't know. That's not
the point. The point is
theoretically
what does the Halakha say in the case
where a guy throws a knife
and it hits the wall, bounces and it
slices the the the the animal's neck,
bounces off the wall and comes back and
slices it again.
Is that considered is that a good Shimon
of there's zero carbon? Says Rashi that
you don't have to say such a crazy
situation where it bounced off the wall,
came back. All you need to say is he
threw a very long knife. Because as long
as there's two two necks
you have a neck plus another neck, then
it's okay. Then it's a good you only
have to go forward. You don't have to go
forwards and backwards.
One more small sugi here.
So I want you to take a pencil if you
have one. And write over here that the
word machshava doesn't mean a thought.
It means
to speak it out.
If a small child tells you what he meant
to do, can we rely on that or not?
No no martial. If he's shocheting an
oila and he says I shocheted this oila,
he tells you I shocheted lishma. Could I
rely on him?
So
R' Akiva has a as a great kasha on him.
He says, "Listen.
Why you why did you mention machshava?
Do you not know that there's a meforesh
mishna that talks about ma'aseh?
And since the mishna over there talks
about ma'aseh, the mishna also talks
about machshava and we have an answer
for your question.
With the b'alei ma'aseh, how can you ask
me about a
a full-fledged action?
The what?
Why didn't you ask me? The reason is
very simple. Because it's a meforesh
mishna. So you didn't ask me a a
meforesh mishna. This not yesh lo
ma'aseh. A kid has a ma'aseh. Machshava
nami lo it ba'alei. So if so, in that
same mishna tells you what the halacha
is with dibur and then I know the
answer. So why why are you asking me the
question? It's a meforesh mishna. What's
the case? This not yesh lo ma'aseh
machshava uh sorry, this not in lo
machshava.
They a a kid's machshava or dibur
doesn't count for anything. This not. A
line a line if you have an acorn very
minor pomegranate or egg guys or not
shachak kokum kinoy guys that the kids
took and hollowed out a let's say
pomegranate or they hollowed out of nut.
Lom be ma'afer in order to fill it up
with dirt. Or they should keen on the
cover they use it as a one of those
old time scales.
So, they needed a a second part. So,
they they hollowed out
a fruit. Why do they hollow it out? To
make it a cleat. Oh, they made it a
cleat to mayan. Why? Maybe they should
have That's a That's a something
physical.
Mom, this monkey got me good. Look at
this. Right over here.
Over here. I better put on some uh
antibiotics.
Yeah, I have.
Mom should get prepared. They don't want
to shove it.
No, I bought new sport just in case I
get a stick or cut.
>> [laughter]
>> Rabies.
>> [laughter]
[laughter]
>> Is that That's going to be what? Kobe's
going to make that the the thumbnail.
>> [laughter]
>> I might have gotten rabies or
I don't know if I might shove a grape
and look at me bite like I don't have a
question on dibor.
He come and bite like I might shove it
in the case of the muscle. What happens
when his thought is understood through
his action without talking, without
talking? In other words, he going to
have a kind of
a measure of itself in Shabbat here the
classic case.
We know that carbon is the most of
carbonus, especially kochi kochi have to
be done in the northern part of that
Zara, meaning
if your misbech is that line,
has to be above that line, not below the
misbech, which is darum.
And this kid goes and takes an animal
and pulls them. You heard your name
being called?
They'll tell you later.
No, [clears throat] not that part. I
said one of my kids lived by him for a
long time.
Oh, he's out of it.
So, if a kid pulls an animal from the
dump to the south, then obviously he
knows what he's doing. Obviously he's
trying to shut the animal
Let's say in Iowa, lishma, in the right
place.
So, that was my question. My question
was something that's not in the Mishnah.
It's something in between. It's not a
full-fledged maaseh, and it's not a
devar. It's a maaseh that tells me what
his machshava is.
Hold on.
Oh, hold on.
Yes, there's a video. Thank you.
Shkoyach. A very good video of the
knife.

Those are the knives they sell there.
