It shouldn't be this way, but the reality is yes, there's no question the way that society views the worth of a man is based on his output, what he is able to bring to the table. A man isn't valued just because he exists. He's valued on how it benefits others, and that's very clear from the fact that the minute he's no longer benefiting others, people really have no regard for him. And God forbid he goes through a rough patch where he's not able to maintain the level of productivity, he'll find out very quickly that he is treated like a burden. You can see how society treats men who are exhausted, men who are going through burnout. And this is why I want to say this very clearly to other men out there, you have to know that your worth did not begin with your ability to provide value to others. We as men naturally are wired to be providers. We feel good when we're providers. And therefore, when a man is healthy and everything is running as it should, he almost effortlessly benefits all the people around him cuz that's just what he's wired to do. It's just natural, it's instinctive. But that's not what gives you your value. But even at those dark times when we are recuperating from loss or from some setback and we need to just rest from all the exhaustion, even during those times, you should know that your worth in the eyes of your maker is absolutely unconditional and has not changed one bit.
