What New Yorkers Have To Say About Optimism

hey i'm mayor kay and today's video is all about optimism [Music] a path that we take mentally when it's we're in a bad situation positive thinking positive positive outlook about the future ah good impulsivity the most like simple basic example i can i can see is like looking to light rather than the dark i mean watch watch star wars it'll uh give you like the basic definition optimism i guess is looking at the world through rose colored glasses because once you spread positivity and you put it out there into the universe the universe brings it back to you in ways that you wouldn't even expect for a child hmm that's a deep uh it'll probably have to do with like keeping your imagination i mean i have the advantage now of being a quite advanced senior citizen so i've seen a lot of ups and downs in life and i would tell children that bad things pass that life has cycles good and bad and as an old codger i can say that all in all things tend to turn out for the good and optimism is when you can use your imagination to think of a way that things will get better optimism is kind of like this happy exciting feeling inside of you that you feel like you see colors almost no matter how bad things get you know like somebody steals your toy or somebody beats you up at school you can always rectify that and you can you know things can get better you should just like be happy and look at the positive things in life rather than looking at the things that you don't have oh that's great because you know like a lot of kids you know they have a lot of anger problems that we have to guide them as being adults you know so for them to get it in different ways not just through their parents you know as i'm all here for it it is it's a great idea oh that'd be freaking awesome uh i think that'd be a pretty cool thing um i don't know how i would write it i don't know how it could be written i think that um i wrote one you wrote one well that's that's pretty cool uh if it's i think if it's simplified in that way then yeah um i think simplifying things for even not just kids but also adults uh because everything is seems to be over complicated i think that's a good thing all around that would be cool i mean i feel like especially with now in 2020 everything is just so crazy and i feel like we need to reshape and just rethink on everything that we've learned basically so i think that'll be cool oh really hey kids book about optimism i love books reading's good thank you so much for watching and i hope this video infused a little bit more optimism in your life and your day-to-day and of course check out my new book a kiss book about optimism all the details can be found in the description below like i always say stay positive be happy i'm mayor kay and have a great day [Music]
