i am why i am because i became a warrior and i went to magic david yeshiva to be a warrior is to accept being challenged to me being a warrior is excelling in relationships and connections with people at magna de visheva we're preparing our students to have those tools to be warriors in every aspect of their lives whether it's in business parenting hesed community learning whatever it is all of our students are gaining the tools and the skills to be warriors in their life to rise to every occasion to meet every challenge and to overcome every obstacle [Music] the world outside today more than ever is challenging from every angle and mag and david our goal by combining the judaic studies and the secular studies is not just to have two different courses but for it to come together to create a courage and a capability and a confidence to go see the world meet it and be able to beat it [Music] what i've gained for being in this school so much torah so much so much knowledge and stuff that i have to apply to my real life part of high school that shaped me was my jewish philosophy class my mind just kept turning my mind just kept asking questions and having teachers that are capable of answering your very complicated questions are very very crucial in high school because you know you sort of get that validation and you leave feeling very accomplished we also have outside learning opportunities that again are nourishing relationships and giving students a love for torah because when you love something you want to do it something that inspires me is rabbi heber's weekly classes my friends and i enjoyed the classes so much that we decided that we wanted classes in the summer classes made us realize the importance of continuing to learn it's not only something we do in school it's important to take outside of our lives when you walk into mag and david it's just a level of warmth that's unparalleled we care about what they care about faculty has a way of catering to each student's needs and that being said i was able to find myself and open up and become more outgoing at maggie and david esheba high school we work as a team teachers administrators parents and students to help every child succeed and achieve their potential whatever level they are mag and david is all about college and career readiness my ap language class that i took in 11th grade strongly shaped who i was right now i'm studying journalism and mass media and minoring in english and i genuinely believe that that class is what sparked my love for english we are very fortunate to have a student body that is passionate about israel we've developed relationships with aipac stand with us that allows us to really teach our students about the nuanced conversations that are happening about israel we love and are proud of the fact that we send our students to learn abroad in israel to connect with the land of israel the school day doesn't end at 4 30 there's so much more that the school offers rabbi towel in charge of the student life he has so many clubs to offer we have academic clubs such as college bowl tolerable mock trial debate team on the team 9th and 10th grade jv basketball team we practice twice a week the coaches are also trying to make you do your best and make help you succeed they know that they're not just there to sit in a desk and just take notes but they understand that they're there to interact with all of their friends interact with their teachers and all for that purpose of bettering themselves i came to the school from a different school when i entered megan it was like immediate everyone was smiling welcoming me showing me around everyone every single person it's a rabbi teacher student they all make you feel cared for and loved they helped mold me into the person that i wanted to be and who i'm slowly becoming come be a warrior you will feel the greatness i promise you will not regret it in magna david high school i became a warrior now it's your turn to become a warrior too [Music] you
