[Music]
well ex Turner so she's not
blocking
andl this is a staged event uh with uh
upward of 20 injuries an explosion out
of building of various levels of uh
injuries and we have multidisiplinary uh
agencies involved surrounding towns uh
and of course a few EMS agencies in our
town uh this is a an event that we are
using to test our limits should God
forbid a real event occur and and uh to
make sure that we are able to interact
with each other in other agencies should
something happen you see behind me is an
actual uh makeup of a school where there
was an explosion and you will see uh
people lying throughout the parking lot
uh first ours team uh establishes
command then they triage and tag the
victims depending on the nature of their
injuries and start moving them out
toward the triage area turn around uh
you will see where the triage area is
soon you will see uh this area is
starting to get filled up with patients
from which uh the patients will start
getting transported to ambulances and to
the
hospitals ma'am go back over to that off
car for
me nobody will even help me doing
everything we
can I know I Happ you what's your
daughter's name
[Music]
uh this is uh the incident command table
as you can see if you take a look uh
gives you a complete view of the entire
scene and it also helps us keep track to
make sure none of our First Responders
are hurt and keep us track of of
patients and transport charts very basic
very simple but very
effective you look at the various levels
red being the most critical black uh for
DOA green for the least critical and
yellow for the
moderate and as we put the patients out
here they will be picked up from here in
their order of priority to be
transported the area facilities
[Music]

285 River Avenue for a report of
explosions uh we arrived on scene found
about uh approximately 16 patients that
were transported by uh a number of uh
agencies we had Lakewood Township bems
Lakewood first aid um hot Sola
Toms River EMS um and Brick Township EMS
were out here um all patients were
transported to a local hospitals or to
uh critical the critical patients were
transport out to Jersey Shore
um as of now we do not know the cause of
uh of the explosion or what had happened
um you'd have to refer that to the
police department but all our patients
are accounted for and uh in the local
hospitals we do not know the status of
the patients as of
yet and we did have
one one death but no names obviously are
going to be given out until uh further
investigation thank
you I just have to thank Scott Carter uh
who runs our EMS Department uh for
putting together this drill and all the
agencies that were involved PD Ms
voluntary Ms of Lakeworth hola Brick
Township Tom's River uh EMS agencies sir
teams uh and Howell also assisted Our
Town by coming in and covering our real
live po so that we could participate in
this along with another I believe brick
ambulance so this is a fantastic uh
interaction between many different
municipalities and agencies for the
better of the citizens of Lakewood and
uh I just need to thank all them for
doing a tremendous job here today
