Mayor and Deputy Mayor Speaking with DPW During Storm

this morning and that was the now so everything now all the drivers are coming in we're getting reloaded and we're going to start plowing so as they start once they start they start hitting the roads one by one m so they salt sand you you tracking it right now exactly where we we're at what would you say at this time right now what percentage you say the count is done so far as far as soling goes I say 95% besides just a couple few areas that we didn't get to but now we're going to start dropping plows so so first we did the salting and then once youve done that then drop the plows and give it a chance to just for the transfer the salt to work underneath to break it Loose from the pavement itself so it doesn't freeze to the pavement how many inches do we have already uh last time I measured was almost four how how many guys we have right now total we have 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 15 trucks on the road right now 15 trucks on the road yeah and then when the guy is going to go home go to sleep new come on what time we like that uh we're going to start calling a couple guys in because we got some extra trucks now that just have plows on smaller trucks we're going to call a few more guys so 15 plus another six we have 21 trucks on the road hopefully y I love it so we're good we'll be ready for the morning commute hopefully I like it I I can't promise you cuz when we start plowing it usually takes up to 12 hours if not a little longer depending on the the snow itself so cuz everything we plow now is going to be the primaries first right and once we get done with the primaries and we're going to start with the secondary but being that we do the primaries first we're still going to get fight maybe close to another 3 in of snow we have to go back over to hit the primaries again again so this at least we lowered it down and then it again yep and hopefully with the salt on it it will still melt whatever start to still fall now I I can imagine it's going to be a little hotter because du to the fact the cold temperature once it drops down to about 25 20° of salt it takes a lot longer for the salt I I very excited about this oh I like this how we doing hey what's going on you here all night tonight I appreciate that I appreciate that how you what we got going you driving a truck tonight yes of course which area did you hit which area did you hit we hit uh 5 a and which is down yeah which is Pine [Music] Chestnut very well I like this I like this number of people we have On Let's Take 5 minute break hit the road again when we going to start plowing what we that's what Al hold everybody in for is get reloaded get res situated get Rec coordinated and go back out and start hitting everyone coming back in reloading up with salt drop the plowers and go I love it great put it together
