I was at home and I received a call for
a 16 year old who had gotten hit with
baseball bat I remember it was a Friday
night actually we just finished the meal
I sat down to one with my brother he
just came back from Israel we were all
excited and dunked on the radio went off
you know the Shabbos afternoon I was
actually getting ready for our stylists
nap and the call came out for a patient
that passed out in a stairwell and an
apartment building nearby
I remember it had been one of those
really long days with work and I just
climbed into bed and it felt like my
head just hit the pillow and I was out
and a call goes out in Bayswater for a
woman in active labor a couple of blocks
from my house
we found that a car stopped the mill
that road very dark Street and the guy
was laying in the in the bushes when he
arrived we found the mother was standing
outside holding the baby
the baby was not breathing and was
choking on what appeared to be food sure
enough there was an elderly gentleman
who was pulseless and APNIC he wasn't
breathing and he was lying on the floor
I walked into the room here the effort
the baby is taking to - just to breathe
she was conscious but very disoriented
wasn't completely familiar with the
surroundings the wife the kids they were
frantic they had no idea what was going
on

we're driving to the hospital and the
paramedic calls from the back just pull
over she's giving birth right now we
were able to use basic airway skills to
clear the airway
we actually shocked the patient once and
unfortunately after shocking him he did
not come back eventually we were able to
get the breathing more on the control
transported to the hospital so we
shocked him again for the second time
and everyone waited patiently to see
what would happen we were nervous in the
front saying tell them together and all
of a sudden we hear that sweet sounds
the babies start crying at the paramedic
screams to the front Mazel Tov it's a
girl we said don't worry everything's
gonna be okay now though our time is
breathing so much better than he was
when we walked in ten minutes ago
everything will be okay your baby is now
breathing again
the cardiac monitor started to beep and
one of the medics screamed out we have a
pulse
