Lakewood Fire Commissioner Mike D'Elia Honored for 50 Years of Service

feel free please thank you very much commissioners with your commission um um i'm very proud to be here it's an honor for me to be able to present an award to someone who's given 50 or years of his life i don't i don't even know how much 50 years when you're talking about lifetime you know i know a year in in the public life is about seven or eight years you know 12 years so i guess i can say i live 21 of those years but for mike it's been a lot more than that he served on the committee as well he currently serves as a public mentor you know to some of us on the committee and and uh he does a very good job with that he has a beautiful family he's a member of the same republican club as as i am and he's always around he's always a help to me he's a voice of reason and he's been on every level and it's like i said it's humbling to me and it's an honor to me to be able to present an award to someone as great as this man standing right here to my right so thank you mr delia for all these for your coin years of service and you know um i'd like to present this to you on behalf of mayor wickenstein and the national miller and ray coles and steve meyer who could not be here it's for 50 years in honor of mike leah by the township committee for his 50 years of outstanding service with the lakewood fire department for dedication devotion and contribution to the community so thank you very much we appreciate it thank you
