>> Today's Daf is Bechoros Daf Lamed. And
we are at the Mishnah, eight lines from
the top of Daf Lamed Amud Aleph. So,
we're moving along in the fourth perek
of Maseches Bechoros, the middle of a
digression discussing halachos related
to somebody that's a chashud. Why are we
in this digression? Because the Mishnah
had discussed a chashud al Bechoros,
which is very much the topic of the
Masechta. From there we digressed to
talk about different people that are
chashud in different areas of halacha.
And that note, talk to Mishnah. A
chashud al lashvi'is, if somebody is a
chashud in dinei shvi'is, ein chashud al
ama'asros. It doesn't make him a chashud
as relates to ma'asros. A chashud al
ama'asros, if somebody is chashud that
he violates the laws of ma'asros, ein
chashud al lashvi'is. It doesn't make
him a chashud on the laws of shvi'is,
shmita. A chashud al zeh v'al zeh, if
somebody is chashud both on the laws of
shvi'is and on the laws of ma'asros,
chashud al hataharos, he will be
considered to be a chashud
as it relates to chulin [snorts]
betaharos. The issue of who chashud al
hataharos. However, somebody that is
chashud as it relates to eating chulin
betaharos, ein chashud al zeh v'al zeh.
He will not be considered a chashud as
it relates to the laws of shvi'is and as
it relates to the laws of ma'asros. Zeh
achal, says the Mishnah. As it relates
to a chashud, so obviously it means that
we don't trust them. But in addition to
that, it also means that a chashud al
davar, if somebody is chashud on
something, idono'i, he's not going to be
a judge or a jury as it relates to that
area of halacha.
Additionally, he's going to be passul.
So, another Mishna as it relates to the
laws of
chashud, and we're straddling three
types of chashudim. Someone that's
chashud on shvi'is, someone that's
chashud on ma'asros, and someone that's
chashud on taharos. A chashud on shvi'is
means he's not careful to observe the
laws of shmita. A chashud on ma'asros
means he's not careful to be mafreesh
trumos uma'asros. And a chashud on
taharos means he's not careful to eat
his chulin betaharah. Once upon a time,
there were people that ate chulin
betaharah. You're not obligated
mid'oraisa to do so, but there were
people that did, and a chashud al
taharos is someone who's chashud. We
don't trust that he's careful as it
relates to eating his chulin betaharah.
What was the halacha of the Mishna? So,
the Mishna said, if someone is chashud
in hilchos shvi'is, could be he's a
tzaddik as it relates to ma'asros. So,
in hilchos al ma'asros, if someone's
chashud on the laws of ma'asros, maybe
he's a
gadol hador as it relates to the laws of
shvi'is, and as a result, in hilchos al
shvi'is. Stating that if somebody is
chashud al zeh al zeh, and by the way,
chashud al zeh al zeh doesn't mean he's
chashud on both. It means even he's
chashud on one of the two. So, if
someone's either a chashud al al shvi'is
or he's
chashud al al ma'asros, then he's going
to be chashud al taharos. He will be a
chashud al taharos. And the reason is
because shvi'is and ma'asros are both
dinei d'oraisa.
To [snorts] eat chulin betaharah is a
din derabanan, and if someone is chashud
on a d'oraisa, it's going to make him
for sure be chashud al derabanan.
Meaning, if someone's chashud on one
d'oraisa lav dafka he's going to be
chashud on the other d'oraisa. But if
someone's chashud on a d'oraisa, for
sure he's going to be chashud al
derabanan. And really, that's the hem
sugar of the next part of the mission
that if somebody's Kushner
if somebody is Kushner to not be
miserable
being that all it is is a dinner upon
and therefore in a Kushner
he's not going to be Kushner [snorts]
as it relates to either
or masters because it could be the
dinner upon and it's something that he's
Kushner on but as it relates to the
dinner
that he's going to be more careful he's
going to be more miserable and it's for
that reason for that he's not going to
be Kushner one dick talk just in the
language of the mission the mission said
the Asia who Kushner Tyro family Kushner
the way we explain the mission the Asia
right the Asia sounds like just grammar
there is a person who's Kushner entire
that is not Kushner on the masters
anyone that's Kushner on Tyro is not
Kushner on
masters and on Schwarz the explain that
[snorts]
true but it's only with regards to cool
in the Tyro but if you have a person
that's Kushner on true Tyro Kushner
those are dinner day riser and then for
sure you wouldn't just say that because
he's only a Kushner Tyro therefore he's
going to be in a Kushner
then it could be the already going to be
different and it's for that reason we
have this sort of ocean the Asia someone
who's Kushner Tyro we just want to you
to understand we only mean the cool in
the Tyro which is what the mission means
but this is an extra word in a mission
is not so common but it's coming most I
got working
for us to understand it's only with
regards to cool in the Tyro if however
wasn't cool in the Tyro it wouldn't
necessarily be this way so again just to
set up the Gamora what's the basic feel
of the mission the basic feel of the
mission is if someone is Kushner in one
area of Halacha
doesn't necessarily make him a Kushner
in another area of Halacha so Schwarz
and masters six of one half a dozen of
another they feel very very similar in
nature. And there were people that were
they weren't
and there were people that were they
didn't keep the laws of
but just because somebody is for one, it
doesn't necessarily make him
for the other.
Stating that if somebody is
>> [snorts]
>> for a
he will be considered a a
and it goes without saying that if
someone's only a
on a
then he won't be a
so again on one
doesn't make you a on a another
but being on a
does make you a of the what about
someone's
that's possible if a on a
doesn't make you a on a
so certainly a on a is not going to make
you a day
but a little nuancey but it's going to
walk us into the first half of today's
stuff. Says the tomorrow my time
what's the reason that if somebody is
on
he's not
on
or
why is it that if someone's on
he's not on
but the mission of first set a
and only afterwards set a on a
so the first part of the uh naturally is
it's following the first line of the
mission so again the opening line of the
mission was a
the says why not meaning logically the
thinks that if you're not careful in so
why would be any different you know the
the I can hear you
but these are both they're on the same
level so if that's the case why would
you think it's different so the says
I'll tell you why it's all related to
the psyche of the person has
nothing to do with
it doesn't require the of my however as
it relates to my
give on the
which my requires It's a shame it only
be eaten within the homer of Jerusalem.
Homer lay in people's minds they see it
as homer. So you could have a guy who's
kosher al achshavish, but in his mind he
came up with a krum svara to say that
yeah, shvi'is has nothing to do with
homer Jerusalem. There I'm happy to not
be so careful. Call me a kosher. But as
it relates to ma'aser sheini, in his
mind he thinks that's way more homer and
that's the Indian of a kosher al
achshavish and a kosher al ma'aser.
Kosher al ma'aser or in a kosher al
achshavish. Next line of the mishna my
time is up again. What's the reason for
that? Ma'aser is like pidyon because
ma'aser again ma'aser sheini
is
subject to pidyon. If somebody wants to
be paid to ma'aser sheini you can't.
Shvi'is however given the komitz rule
lay, but as it relates to shvi'is even
though there's a concept of shvi'is but
at the same time some of the isur is
going to be maintained and therefore the
less like pidyon it doesn't have a
proper pidyon. Homer lay again in this
person's mind it's considered more
homer. Meaning just like you can come up
with a svara why a person might think
ma'aser is more homer than shvi'is you
could also come up with a reverse svara
why a person might think that shvi'is is
more homer than ma'aser. This is all the
psychology of the person. It's for that
reason you can never say that because a
person is a kosher al achshavish he's a
kosher al ma'aser because maybe ma'aser
is homer lay because it requires a
homer. And you also can't say that if a
person is kosher al ma'aser he should be
kosher al achshavish because you could
always say maybe shvi'is is homer lay
because it doesn't have that same level
of pidyon that ma'aser sheini does. It's
for that reason a kosher al achshavish
and a kosher al ma'aser a kosher al
ma'aser and a kosher al achshavish. And
just to be clear about one thing
these svaras that we're suggesting right
now no one's saying these are real
svaras. No one's saying they're even
rational svaras. But at the same time
these are
things that people sometimes will think
up and it's for that reason as it
relates to defining whether this person
is a kosher or not a kosher that's all
trying to krich into this person's mind.
So being that these are thinkable svaras
therefore they're presented in our
Sugya, but you can ask a kasha on this
swara. That's not the point. The point
is that we're trying to define the
psychology of the person. The Mishna
continued and the Mishna said, "A Zeh al
Zeh. If somebody is
on shvi'is or we said ma'aseros, then
the halacha becomes on tithes." What's
the reason? So, the Mishna is very
partial like we spoke. Give me the day
right? So, being that he's a day riser,
he cannot be a
for sure he's going to be a
here you can't come up with swaras. If
someone's a day riser, full stop. It
means he's a on and then finally the
Mishna said, "The age
of tithes." There's a concept of being
on tithes, but at the same time you're
not going to be
not on shvi'is and not on ma'aseros.
Says the Gemara again, very simple. All
this swaras we already spoke of.
Even though this person is on tithes,
meaning tithes, that's only a on. The on
the on, but why shouldn't he be on the
on?
Great Gemara kasha, very many. This
kasha
is on the last halacha of the Mishna.
The on the on on the on the on the on.
And the the swara is very logical. He's
to not be the school of that doesn't
make him a for on the on. The on the on.
I don't listen to the rabbis. But, just
cuz you don't listen to your local rabbi
doesn't necessarily mean that you're
going to violate in the on. And and
are the on and it's for that reason it
doesn't make you a on. But, the Gemara
says as logical as it is, I'll be a
kasha from a
on. The on says on the on.
Someone that is a on. Neman is the
opposite of someone that's a on the on.
Neman on the on. He's also considered a
on the on. And what's the on? The on. It
sounds like if he's a on the on, on.
He's a on the on. Someone that's a on
the on is a on the on. But, if you're
not on the on, sounds like you're going
to be on the on. It's a flat out head on
collision with our Mishna. So, the
Gemara is going to give two on. The
first is on the on. Rabbi said, "Must
listen to going should be on the on the
on."
The Mishnah is talking about a very
specific when the Mishnah says that
somebody that's kosher on Tyra's
it doesn't necessarily make him a kosher
on schmeta maisers. It's talking about
not in a regular case. Mishnah doesn't
mean what we thought it meant.
Mishnah doesn't mean what we thought. We
thought that's a very simple swap. He
had the rabona kosher the rice the
kosher. That's far as is not a good
swap. The Mishnah is talking about where
we saw this person be no good in a
schveez and in a but in a
now that we see him be no good we saw
him do a
when nobody was looking.
So as far as we know this is real. This
is very very legit. But here's the
point. The point is is that
if we don't know for sure that this
person was ever no good in a a
>> [snorts]
>> schveez and maisers but in a
just be the fact that he's kosher on a
Tyra's would make him a kosher on on
schmeta and a maisers. In other words,
what Rabbi is saying is that the is
really not what the Mishnah says. The is
what the says and that is never never
kosher kosher. Kosher.
>> [snorts]
>> I the Mishnah Mishnah is talking about a
no good the no good is
when we saw him be no good but in a
but
you want to know what the past this is
if someone's kosher on a Tyra's he is a
kosher on schveez and maisers. The more
I said my time a whole swap he had the
rabona kosher the rice the kosher. In
light of this
Rabbi says that's far as
a failed attempt. It it sounded good
until for a minute. But because it is
still we have no choice but to say that
no once a person's kosher on this engine
he's going to be kosher and the Mishnah
that says not is talking about a very
specific case.
Rabbi Rabbi
he said just the opposite. He said that
the
like our Mishnah. That if someone's
kosher on Tyra's he's not going to be
kosher on schveez and a maisers. And for
the reason that we gave a very simple,
logical reason. Yeah, the rabbinical
and the risalah
I if that's the case, what is the price
to mean when it says only someone that's
never on tires is never on
it sounds like a
the total that we're going to make is
going to be in the price going to have a
with your vice talking about very very
nuanced that came to with this person
was once on both. Meaning you had a
person that was on tires and let's it
was on so it was on my sister was a
camera upon it. And then you came to the
rabbis the to buy you and he was no
couple I'm going to do better he did his
proverbial truth so like this he's no
longer going to be a
the other issue that had me now you and
then afterwards he became a on one of
them which one on the tires right
because that's what the price is talking
about the mean and then we say me with
the
question on me that if he was a
on the tires what is that that's a that
the whole couple was not a couple of
side the couple on the tires and side
the couple on the and the
meaning of other person that we don't
know was ever a on or all we know is
that it was a
tires that doesn't make you a on or
because he had the
other
but if you have a situation you know the
person for sure was once a
and now we became always
well if you know he was also on
and
we was
on
the
and on and on tires and he became always
on the on the tires so now there's
already a
sir on the couple that he made on the
the
and the and and being that he was a once
a on that now we're going to say how to
do you know we're going to reinstate his
status as being a
in other words we have a
a steer with regards to the last of the
mission
the question on the tires and the
question on the and the and the question
in a vacuum is that a true statement or
is that a is that not a true statement
on the one hand it sounds like I mean if
the mission says that it should be a
true statement But the problem is I have
a bris and never on tires never on the
and from that it would seem to apply
with a
exactly how to reconcile this. Is the
the lotion of the bris and we're going
to make an
on the mission. That was the first
I'm a rabbi boy or is the like the
lotion of the mission we're going to
make an the bris. That was the second in
the
rabbi
>> [snorts]
>> the rabbi small either way. Going back
to the part of the mission. The opening
line of the mission. A
in the
a
in a
a in a
says the I'm a rabbi bar I'm a rabbi bar
one of the great
>> [snorts]
>> of the great rabbi
said over the name of his rabbi is
the mission that said that someone
that's
is a in a the very very first line of
the mission.
That is the opinion of rabbi
is
who's rabbi is
also knows rabbi why is rabbi referred
to as rabbi we actually just mentioned
that
a couple of ago and that is because
the mission is a mayor of the rabbi
but the bottom line is said I'm a rabbi
bar the name of the rabbi
the mission is the rabbi of the
they hold
that is someone's
he's 100% going to be a says
who are these that hold that a
is
so the says who the rabbi was referring
to is rabbi
the great time of the rabbi the of the
rabbi and the reason rabbi would hold
that way is because the rabbi starts
coming everybody held that was very very
so if there's a person who's
in
for sure for sure he's going to be a a
because in as much as you know we said
you could say that maybe ma'aser is more
because it requires a humer. These are
nice for us, not in Rebbi Yehuda's
shtot. But as Rebbi Yehuda, shvi'is was
humer and because it was humer,
everybody
that's choshed on shvi'is may not take
shvi'is more seriously than ma'aser. So
to the extent you're choshed on a
shvi'is, you're for sure going to be
choshed on ma'aser. Now, what's a makor?
Is there like a raya? You have like an
anecdote to share with us?
With regards to demonstrating
that as Rebbi Yehuda,
shvi'is was humer less. The Gemara says,
yes, I'm glad you asked. We have an
anecdote to share. Now, Rebbi Yehuda had
a friend
cuz there was a person in Rebbi Yehuda's
shtot that was once talking to one of
his friends and [snorts] he told him,
"Dayoro bar dayarta." You're a ger, the
son of a geyores. And he was trying to
make a derogatory point. Amalei said
told him back, "Tasei vi, I hear, but at
least I'm going to get s'char that I ate
peiros shvi'is k'vaser." That I'm not
such a an oisvorf like you. I don't eat
peiros shvi'is. You see that somebody
that would eat peiros shvi'is was much
an oisvorf. That was like the most
derogatory thing you could do cuz that
was like his comeback. "You're a dayoro
bar dayarta. I hear, but at least that's
nothing compared to what you do." What
someone that eats peiros shvi'is,
>> [snorts]
>> where it's assur to eat peiros shvi'is,
that's the worst thing in the world.
Apparently, as Rebbi Yehuda was humer
and Zok Rebbi Bar Bar Chana in the name
of Rebbi Yochanan, that our Mishna that
seems to be open to the idea that by
people maybe ma'aser was more humer than
shvi'is, so Rebbi Akiva still told him
that's the style of Mishna. Rebbi Yehuda
Rebbi Yehuda Rebbi Yehuda doesn't hold
that way because as Rebbi Yehuda, over
there was more humer. Right, it's not
just Rebbi Yehuda, it's as Rebbi Yehuda
because it's based again on these
psychological factors. It could be there
was a whole another version of what
Rebbi Bar Bar Chana said in the name of
Rebbi Yochanan, Rebbi Bar Bar Chana
Rebbi Yochanan. So Rebbi Akiva still
told him
but the Chachamim argue with the Mishna
and they hold choshed al a ma'aser,
choshed al a shvi'is. That if somebody
is choshed on ma'aser, he's going to be
choshed al shvi'is. That's what the
Chachamim Who would be the that hold
that a kosher my sir is kosher
again the mission said was the second
that if somebody is kosher on my sir any
kosher my sir.
That's clearly the opinion of the star
mission. Which is the maker. I will
only
hold kosher on my sir.
It's the armor who holds.
We'll see the mayor feature a little
more probably on the mid base. But
according to the mayor.
Someone that's a kosher
is a kosher
if that's the case. If someone is kosher
[snorts] on my sir, he's going to be
kosher
as well. Incidentally says
kosher goes both ways. Right if the
whole you say to the mayor is. That.
So just like. Kosher on my sir is kosher
on my sir. Kosher on my sir is going to
be. Kosher on my sir. So you have two.
Not everybody agrees with this mission.
So the keeper stem top and everybody
agrees.
So there's two nice guys. In one nice
guy. It's the ratio kosher on my sir.
Any kosher on my sir you should know
there's a marker to say that a kosher on
my sir. Would be kosher on my sir. It's
possible to be who right that would be
the
in the second mission.
It's both parts of the. Beginning of the
mission.
Kosher on my sir.
So the mayor the keeper stem top. But
according to the mayor. Now that is you
are going to be kosher. It's going to go
both ways you kosher on you for sure
going to be kosher on the other. The
mayor
the mayor the mayor who holds what? Who
holds kosher is. Always considered.
So the mayor now is going to bring these
two nice guys. Of
the mayor the mayor the mayor. In a
slightly different variation so the
math. Of the Sugya the same, but it's
just that coming from another angle.
Rabbeinu and Rabbi Yirmiya
tell me they were Rabbis Zeira. Rabbeinu
and Rabbi Yirmiya were the talmidim of
Rabbi Zeira. But Amora some say it was
Rabbeinu and Rabbi Zeira who were
talmidim of Rabbi Yochanan. Regardless,
Chada Amar, one of them said, meaning
either Rabbeinu or Rabbi Yirmiya, that
would be the Chada Amar Chada Amar, or
the Rabbeinu and Rabbi Zeira would be
the Chada Amar Chada Amar. But one of
these two said in the name of Rabbi
Yochanan. Right, so Rabbi Bar Bar
Chanina was saying in the name of Rabbi
Yochanan, and this is also in the name
of Rabbi Yochanan, that the Mishna
is with Rabbi Akiva in the top. Aval
Chachamim Amrim, the Chachamim hold
Chashud Al Ashvi'is, Chashud Al
Ama'aser, focusing on that line. U'man
Chachamim, who then is the Chacham,
Rabbi Yehuda, right? That's the first
Mishna and Amar Rabbi Bar Bar Chanina
Rabbi Yochanan. V'Chada Amar, the other
one said that what Rabbi Yochanan said
was with Rabbi Akiva in the top.
However, the Chachamim say what? A
Chashud Al Ama'aser, Chashud Al
Ashvi'is. Meaning, Chashud Al Ashvi'is,
Chashud Al Ama'aser, but also a Chashud
Al Ama'aser, Chashud Al Ashvi'is. Right,
take a look at the top of the page. Kol
Shegain, Chashud Al Ashvi'is, Chashud Al
Ama'aser. U'man Chachamim, who's the
Chacham, Rabbi Meir. It's Rabbi Meir.
Where do you find this Rabbi Meir? The
Tanya D'vei Rabbi Yishmael Amar Rabbi
Akiva Amar Rabbi Meir, an Am Ha'aretz
that took upon himself Divrei Chaverim.
He made up his mind that he's going to
be a Chaver. We'll see in a minute what
that means. The next thing is Davar
Echad, and then he became a Chashud on
one thing. So he was Mekabel all Dinei
Chaverim, and now all of a sudden he's
not observing one of them so well. Next
thing is Davar Echad, all of them are
Kulah. He becomes a Chashud on
everything, Divrei Rabbi Meir.
V'Chachamim Amrim, the Chachamim say in
a next thing, I will not listen to Davar
Echad. No, you're only a Chashud for
that thing. Against Kibel all Divrei
Torah. What about against Tzedek who
takes upon himself all the laws of the
Torah. A feeling of next thing is Davar
Echad, if he becomes a Chashud on one
thing, this is a very powerful Halacha.
Have you Chashud Al Kol HaTorah Kulah.
He becomes a Chashud Al Kol HaTorah
Kulah. V'Rabbi Akiva Yisrael Mumcheh.
And now he becomes like a Yisrael
Mumcheh. Nafkami'na, know the
Nafkami'na? Meaning, what's the
difference between what he was once upon
a time which was a Ben Noach and now all
of a sudden he's the Israel member.
Enough give me know the colors condition
condition. A Ben Noach's condition is
not a condition.
Uh Israel member's condition is going to
be a condition but the bottom line is
what do you see from this price that we
just need to pluck out one thing and
that is that [snorts]
Ram Mayor holds that in a number of
people all of the various the natural of
the very hard he becomes natural of the
very cool. But come say no. In a natural
of the very hard this is that Ram Mayor
shita who holds that a natural of the
very hard is a natural to other things
as well and that is in one of [snorts]
the versions what Ram Mayor was
referring to. So again it's the same two
versions in Ram one was Ram Baba
Ram
and the other one
it's Ram Yona
and Ram Yermiya or Ram Yona and Ram
Zeira
the two versions of Ram and Ram are both
tracing back to Ram. So in both Ram
which completely mirror each other it's
two versions of Ram. Is Ram Baba the
author of both of the versions or is it
Ram and Ram
where not only don't we know who said
what we don't even know who the two are.
So this is a Ram and Ram. I forgot to
look in the safe for Ram
but this is like a double Ram.
Is it Ram Yona and Ram Yermiya or is it
Ram Yona and Ram Zeira and once you
figure that out now you have to figure
out who wasn't it that said what either
way.
The Ram now is going to digress from its
digression.
So we're talking about Ram. Someone
that's a Ram.
Ram is someone that's a Ram on my
stress. Someone that's a Ram on
the laws of
Ram and Ram Ram specifically and
someone's Ram on one is he Ram on the
other Ram and the ensuing Gemara,
etc., etc. We're going to
the Gemara now from here really until
the end of the perek is going to get
involved in different halachas related
to somebody that is a chashud that
doesn't want to be considered a chashud
or just in general
the the kitzur Shulchan Aruch of being a
chashud, being a ne'eman, being a
quote-unquote am ha'aretz, being a a
quote-unquote chaver.
Like what's involved in that, right? So
let's just explain this a little bit
better.
Once upon a time
there was a concept of tumah v'taharah.
Once upon a time, trumahs
and and ma'aseros was a very very huge
deal. It was uh it was dinei d'Oraisa.
It was it was everywhere. It was
extremely extremely prevalent. Dinei
shmittah were things that were very very
prevalent. And these were all areas
where, needless to say, some people were
more nizharin and other people's were
less nizharin. Right? Think of tumah
v'taharah. That's a huge undertaking to
live your life b'taharah.
To live chullin b'taharah, forget about
it. And even if just trumah b'taharah,
whatever it is, that was a very very big
deal. The laws of trumahs and ma'aseros
was also a a very very big deal. And the
metzius is, if you
did the analytics, you would find there
were people that were nizharin, there
were people that were not nizharin. And
the chachamim came up with words to
describe the ones that were nizharin and
the ones that were not nizharin. I mean,
you could say he's a nizhar and he's a
not a nizhar or or he's a uh chashud.
But the the terminology the Chazal used
was the people that were nizharin were
considered a chaver. So you could be a
chaver in the world of tumah v'taharah,
you could be a chaver in the world of
trumahs and ma'aseros, you could be a
chaver in the world of shmittah. You're
someone that's going to be considered a
a chaver. And the person that was not
nizharin was very often just referred to
as the am ha'aretz. So you think of the
am ha'aretz as someone that maybe
doesn't know how to learn as well as the
as the talmid chacham. But at the same
time, there was
a concept of of an ha'aretz in in in the
context of this. Possible shot is an am
is a way of describing someone that's
not holding so much on learning and
those people very often were the ones
that were not in Israel and the cover is
a word that's very often referred to in
the context of a of a Thomas and the
Thomas is the person that was in Israel.
But the bottom line is you have the am
you have the cover and and really it can
mean different things depending on the
context that you're talking about. Now,
you didn't just wake up one morning a
cover. Even if you're a Thomas as we're
going to say there's a
of how you become a cover. There was a
certain
a process that you had to go about. In
fact, there was a couple of that had to
be made.
>> [snorts]
>> So, think of someone that becomes a guy.
He's
on himself. It's like a real couple.
It's a
mission. It's a couple. Right? He's on
himself. He'll tell you about
that's what he does. I get
is a a
that's a couple of
right this concept of a couple. The way
a person would become a cover, the way
you became a man in the world of
my sister etc. Was by making a couple of
and it literally mirrors
the couple of the
look at the last sir. As uh
exhibit A, right? What did the price
say?
People all of the virus next
is next
to the
remain
I guess you should keep it all of the
I feel next
I'll be
in the same price we're taking two
things that at first glance are that's
not fair to put these two things
together. True, but on some level it is
because both people right now are no to
the singing and you're making a couple
of and the question is how do you make
the couple of what happens if you end up
becoming a
>> [snorts]
>> one of these things. The bottom line is
in terms of the backdrop for everything
we're going to learn from here really
pretty much until the end of the park.
It's going to be this
hack down specifically and for sure as
it relates to the rest of today's stuff,
we'll get to some. the two dots at the
very very bottom of the amud. We don't
do that every day. It's going to be
braisa
after braisa after braisa, literally.
Just a bunch of braisas, each one very
simple, very straightforward, addressing
kitzur shulchan aruch practical, it's
not contemporary, unfortunately. But
once upon a time
very very halacha l'maaseh digdinim as
relates to this general idea. Now, just
one piece that's worth prefacing before
we start. So [snorts]
we mentioned in this previous braisa am
ha'aretz to keep a lot of divrei
chaverus. An am ha'aretz that was
mekabel on himself divrei chaverus.
So [snorts]
So what does this mean? So we're talking
about an am ha'aretz that's being
mekabel on himself
chaverus as it relates to the laws of
taharos.
So how does somebody go from being a
quote unquote am ha'aretz, meaning he's
a chashud on tum'at tahara?
So someone who doesn't use tum'at tahara
can't eat out of his kitchen, to now all
of a sudden becoming
So you have to be mekabel divrei
chaverus. Am ha'aretz to keep a lot of
divrei chaverus. So what is the
definition of being mekabel a lot of
divrei chaverus? It's a Rashi. It's
three lines from the top of daf lamed
amud bet. Rashi quotes a Tosefta.
Mefaresh b'Tosefta d'Maseches Demai.
What it means is he's mekabel as
follows. Shelo yeiten truma u'maaser
truma or maaser to an am ha'aretz cuz
the am ha'aretz himself is chashud on
inyanei tum'at tahara. So you're not
going to do something that may cause
your truma or maaser to become tamei.
Shelo yaaseh taharos etzel am ha'aretz.
Additionally, he's not going to make
taharos together with an am ha'aretz.
V'she yochal chulin b'tahara. He's going
to eat chulin b'tahara. V'she yaaser es
shehu oichel, es shehu moicher, es shehu
loikeach. Anything he eats, anything he
sells, anything he buys, he's going to
give maaser shani. This is the way a
person is mekabel chaverus. Now, notice
a very interesting observation. We just
said that the braisa was discussing
someone that's being mekabel divrei of
hours but doing the title and one of the
things or a few of the things he asked
me to couple is the laws of truma and
maisers.
The state of after that the way a person
was
covered you can't be a cover for the
title if you're not in your truma and
maisers which ties in a little bit to
the first half of the but the bottom
line is you would it's included in the
couple that you have to make the bottom
line is that's the definition of being
covered in the title and on that note we
begin
the first Bryce. Talk to Bryce and turn
around and
if somebody says I want to be the title
with the exception of one thing meaning
we just read the that's why we read it.
Inside so you see it's a whole list of
things they have to be
so what if a person says I'm willing to
do everything but I'm not going to be
I don't know that one thing on that list
that's your Achilles heel that's the one
thing you're not going to be
so says the Bryce
when I'm in it's all or nothing
about the title you see again the
gears
and he wants to be the title but he says
you know there's just one thing I'm not
willing to be the title
that relates to
even if the thing that he doesn't want
to be is not a
even if it's a took
not even a regular
it's just a
took the title even that's not going to
be okay
says the Bryce and maybe
So what's this a Ben Levy that is coming
to be the title
with the exception of one thing him to
be
so what does it mean
the title so if you take a look at
it's the first narrow line with
the title so if he says that I don't
want to be one of those things it's also
not good but
the title if you have a coin that's
coming to be the title
exception of one thing so what the title
the says I'm as dumb
>> And then it says
that we
learn
this
clearly talking about the that we're
done by the kind of
any kind that's not in the in
is not going to have a a
in the now so what's the first prize so
the first prize is that when it comes to
it's all or nothing whether it's
it's been a couple of
you got to be the whole list
over
that's coming to be
wants to be a guy you have to be a
couple of everything
and that's been a couple of you or a
coin that's been a couple of you it's
all or nothing
if you say that then
you're not going to be a cover you're
not going to be a year you're not going
to be a lady that could do the either
and you're not going to be a coin that's
going to be able to do the either just
to speak out one tiny hour so the hand
the lady
the a band that wants to be a couple of
you the hands
the exception of one thing in the couple
of you know the couple so one of the
things that the band lady does so we can
understand maybe what that one thing he
doesn't want to do is so if you take a
look at it says three things with you
there
with you there is with you there now in
terms of what with you there means that
we know you there the kind of you used
to sing in the base of this you there
they used to open and close the doors of
the base of this in fact the matter says
do a lady and that were miss you there
and they were a lady and that were you
there right you couldn't do both you
were one or you were the other but
what's this middle thing that he says
what does it mean with you there
that some of you still too
a lady that you have a a lady says that
one of the jobs that the Leviim had in
the Beis Hamikdash was they used to
sweep the Beis Hamikdash. They used to
clean it up. So, when it would get
messy, they would clean it. That's what
it means Leshares. Others say that it
could be what Rashi is referring to is
the Mishnah in the beginning of Maseches
Tamid that and also Mishnah in the
beginning of Maseches Middos that says
that there were Shomrim in the Beis
Hamikdash. There were Kohanim that were
Shomrim, there were Leviim that were
Shomrim. And maybe that's what Leshares
means. Leshares means to be the Shomer.
It's not like a spitz definition of the
word Shirus. But the Kohanim struggled a
little bit to understand what Leshares
means. But the emes is, we just spoke
out for those holding in the in the
Chumash here and we spoke about this by
Richos not so long ago in some of the
radio Maseches Chulin that the Leviim,
although they had specific jobs, but
they also had a very general job. And
that is they were Nisunim Nisunim
LeAharon. They were literally the right
hand man of Aharon. In fact, we
mentioned from the in Divrei
Hayamim
Alef perek 12. And Ibn Ezra in the
beginning of Parshas Vayikra and the
Bechor Shor says in the beginning of
Parshas Balak
and it it's scattered in Rishonim in
different places, specifically in
Rishonim on the Torah, that all the
things that you find in the Beis
Hamikdash that were kosher b'zar, like
Shchitas kosher b'zar, Hefses u'Nituch
was kosher b'zar. The Leviim were the
ones that used to do it. Kosher b'zar
means that a Kohen didn't have to do it.
It means anyone could do it. But the
maiseh who used to do it? The Leviim
used to do it. And the Mekor is the
pesukim in Parshas Balak, Parshas
Bamidbar, in Divrei Hayamim. And that's
why you find throughout Tanach that it's
the Leviim, they're always the ones that
are doing the Shchita. It's because that
was their job, to assist to assist the
Kohanim. So, it's poshut. Lesharer or
Leshares means Shirus. All the avodah in
the Beis Hamikdash, anything that was
kosher b'zar that ultimately fell to the
lap of the Leviim, it could be that's
all included in Shirus. We don't have to
come up with sweeping or or being
Shomer. Shirus is a general term to
describe avodah in the Beis Hamikdash.
And that was all included in really what
the job responsibilities were of the
living. Anyway, moving along to the
second uh
Bryce. So, the first Bryce that this guy
has
someone who's being a cover. Again,
we're focusing on the various part of
this uh
Sukiya. Someone that's being a cover
puts me down second Bryce.
Somebody that comes he wants to be a
cover.
In the new
Should know you put some of the base
side because of the nice side. Meaning
person walks in he says I'm ready to be
a cover. If we have Aiden literally that
can see that when he was
a little bit of an oxymoron, right? He's
doing a little bit of a
but somehow some Yentas
figured out that this is what's going
on. But the bottom line is that to the
extent that we know that this person is
holding a little bit by it because of
the nice with my cover. THAT IS NICE.
NOW WE'LL sit down with him and we'll
train him properly and we'll make like
this he'll for sure get it right.
But if we don't have any evidence
of
to tell us that this person was already
as far as we know this person is just a
regular
like no one ever knew him being a cover.
So then
we work with him. We teach him all the
after we
only after we're going to be my cover.
Being a cover and walk those holy words.
My cover and I say with my cover him for
a long
and eventually he's going to figure it
out. So according to the
in this Bryce he it's not a half cover.
You can't just walk in one day and say
that I'm ready to be a cover. I know the
is bring it on. No, no, no. If we saw
him observing it so we know he's holding
by it and
you know maybe we can get a sense that
maybe he knows the is a little bit.
Okay, so then we'll work with him. We'll
teach him everything he really needs to
know and he's going to be good to go.
But otherwise absolutely not.
So it's a little bit of a catch-22 but
you have to be holding a little bit in
order to
join the rank and file.
Being a cover
my cover and I say for a long
a third Bryce my
>> Interesting word. Knafaim means wings.
So, when we're mekabel for knafaim
va'achar kach, and afterwards, mekabel
letires, we're mekabel for tires.
So, what does that mean? Mekabel
knafaim, so very important to see Rashi.
So, Rashi says knafaim is another way of
saying netilas yadayim.
Knafaim means netilas yadayim. So, in
the event that somebody says I want to
be mekabel on myself chaverus, then I'm
going [snorts] to be nazir in
netilas yadayim. Meaning, I'm going to
be nazir, I'm going to wash my hands
before I eat bread. Right? The reason we
wash our hands before we eat bread
So, if somebody comes and he says he
wants to be mekabel for knafaim, that's
good. Va'achar kach, and after he does
that, mekabel letires, we'll be mekabel
letires. But, if the person says any
mekabel el knafaim, let's say he says
that I only mekabel knafaim, mekabel
noiser. That's okay. Kibbel letires like
kibbel knafaim. But, if he goes in the
other way af letires like kibbel, so
then even if letires is not going to be
okay. So, if a person wants to be
mekabel only for knafaim, that in of
itself is going to be okay. So, there
was a concept of being mekabel not the
entire chaverus, just be mekabel
knafaim. That's a thing. And if you want
that, that's okay. And it's not mekabel
that you're not being mekabel tires. If,
however, you want to be mekabel
tires
but you don't want to be mekabel the
knafaim, that's that's not going to be
okay. Rashi says that really this brice,
which is the third brice, is to the
first brice. What was the first brice?
Someone's coming to be mekabel chaverus.
Chutz me d'avaracham. If there's one
line item that you leave out, it's not
going to be considered a kabbal. So,
after the brice, there's one exception
to the rule. When it comes to knafaim,
knafaim is different. In fact, knafaim,
if you're only mekabel for knafaim, that
in of itself is going to be okay. Now,
the question is why? So, Rashi says the
reason is because Knafayim is a Dover
Shalem." That's like
That's like a complete thing. "V'zel
Ikra Chiyuv L'chol Hamitayr." It was
like not just a complete thing, but it's
the Ikra thing. And being that it's the
Ikra thing and you are Mekabel this
Ikra, that's the reason
that it's going to be considered good
Kabala. Fourth Brisa, "Ad Kama Hanacha
Ad Kama Mekabel L'isa."
So,
up until what point am I Mekabel? Now,
Rashi has two P'shatim what exactly the
mission statement of this Brisa is.
We're going to go with Rashi's second
Shot. It's uh
further down the Amud
under the words "Lishnah Chiyuv." So,
Rashi says that this fourth Brisa is
really going B'hemshech to the second
Brisa. So, just like the third one was
talking to the first, the fourth is
talking to the second. What was the
second Brisa? Someone that was Boleh
Kaval Chaveirus, you have to see that he
was Noheg Inyanai Chaveirus. And if you
didn't see him being Noheg Inyanai
Chaveirus, that's a Hefkeir V'al, you
can't just come on board. Right? If
there were people that saw that Bitzin
and B'chazai Chadorim, this person is
doing what he's supposed to do, then
it's give me okay. So, here's the
question. How long does this person,
meaning these Yentes with their
binoculars, how long were they watching
this guy go ahead and do it the right
way for them to be able to be made now?
I mean, they saw one time, there's
probably a Shiur and a Mad of how long
you would have to do it in order for you
to be
included. And as we'll see in the Brisa,
this wasn't just a Machlokes, but this
was [snorts] a Machlokes between the two
great schools, the two great factions
and academies within the Jewish people,
the Machlokes between Shamai and Hillel.
So, again, says the Brisa, "Ad Kama
Mekabel L'isa?" Shamai and Hillel.
Shamai says, "L'mushkin." As it relates
to being Someaych that his Mashkin is
To'er Sh'lo Sh'may. As long as you know
30 days he's been doing it the right
way, so his Mashkin would be B'chezkas
To'er. The reason is because Tum'as
Mashkin is only D'rabanan. So, when you
do Chazara,
it's actually interesting, it's only
Tum'ah D'rabanan, but when it becomes
Tum'ah, it becomes a Rishon L'Tum'ah.
It's also part of Yod Chazara. But, the
bottom line is Mashkin's Tum'ah is more
common because it's more common 30 days
that's enough of a look so as relates to
a bag head which is subject to turn me
right
you would have to know for a year this
person has been doing it the right way
but still says
even for Thomas Mashkin despite fact
that it's the rabbinic you would need 12
months
if that's the case it sounds like who's
the maker who's the maker
the Mashkin it's 30 days and they saw so
it has to be 12 months well if that's
the case how would we
and we know there's only a select few of
those examples and this is not one of
them so they must elevate so I mean you
have to tweak it says not
you'll basically just the opposite of
that
the solution 30 days is going to be
enough this is basically the side of
that they're always make all the make
all here as well once you know for 30
days by 30 days always establishes
something by
30 days this
says on the zeros is Islam and when a
person does something for 30 days that
establishes some level of curious right
Allah
once forgot at the beginning of patches
by mid [snorts] bar but the that the
choice of came a month after the mission
was built but you grow but the bottom
line is is that if something happened
for a period of 30 days that establishes
a very very stark
and that's what they still holds that's
going to work side for the rabbinic and
side for the day rises either way
we just concluded four braces what were
the mission statements of these four
braces really it's almost two sets of
two right because three was talking to
one and four was talking to the two the
first price was if somebody wants to be
a couple of years
close to the record
in the couple of years and it's not only
true for a couple of years it's true for
a lady and it's true for a kind as well
jumping to brace number three which
spoke
to this brace and that is the exception
is
what's that that's like a a very fancy
way of saying the laws of on the
that's like the
so even if a person is just just make a
couple of that right that's the point if
you just make a couple of that that in
of itself is going to make you a Chaver
at least as it relates to that. The
second Beraisa, going back, was [snorts]
where if someone wants to be Mekabel
it, there has to be some Riglayim
L'Davar that he's doing it the right
way. So, Imru [snorts] Einush Sh'lo
Yikabel B'Tzei B'Soch Beisai, then
Mekabel Oisai.
Jumping to Beraisa four, how long a
period of time? That was Machlekes
B'Shamayim U'Beis Hillel. Beis Shamayim
said L'Mashkin, which is a Tum'ah
D'Rabbanan we could be Mekabel for
Shloshim Yom, but L'K'sos, that's Tum'ah
D'Oraisa U'Beis Hillel Beis Hillel
version 2.0, Echad Zeh V'Echad Zeh Ish
Shloshim Yom, we're always Mekabel.
We're Mekabel not only by the Tum'ah
D'Rabbanan, Tum'ah D'Rabbanan, but even
as it relates to K'sos, which is Tum'ah
D'Oraisa. Moving along. Siman Chaver,
Talmud Chayles, Meches, Chazar Gabai,
B'Atzmai. So, it's seven words, and it's
a Siman, it's a mnemonic for seven
Beraisos. So, this is an additional
seven Beraisos that are related to this
topic. So, the first four Beraisos were
not included in the Siman. Now, we have
a Yachleku here within the Beraisos, and
we're going to have another seven
Beraisos. Says the Gemara, we're just
going to start this Tanna D'Rabbanan on
Aval D'Kabel Divrei Chaveirim. If
somebody wants to be Mekabel Divrei
Chaveirim, so he has to be Mekabel
Divrei Chaveirim. So, you have to be
Mekabel in front of three people, and
not just three Hedyotos. All three of
the people that you're Mekabel Chaveirim
in front of him need to be in their own
merit Chaveirim. U'Banav U'Vnei Beisai
Einam Tzerichim L'Kabel Divrei
Chaveirim. However, as it relates to
the person that's being Mekabel
Chaveirim, his children and his Bnei
Bayis, right? Bnei Bayis includes his
Avadim, just the whole Shtieb, they
don't have to be Mekabel in front of
three Chaveirim. So, there's a Halacha
that Kabalas Chaveirim has to be Bifnei
Gimel, Bifnei Gimel Chaveirim. As it
relates to the family, they don't have
to be Mekabel Bifnei Gimel Chaveirim.
Now, that's a little bit M'Duyak, they
don't have to be Mekabel Bifnei Gimel
Chaveirim, but it sounds like they do
have to make a Kabalah, and the truth is
it's
M'Furash B'Tosefta. The the says that
they have to be Mekabel by the baal
bayis. So the family has to come to the
father of the house
and they have to tell him that we're
being mekabel as well. But they don't
have the chiyuv of having to be mekabel
bifnei
bifnei shlosha chaverim. Shmuel Gamliel
says Shmuel Gamliel says he [snorts]
says av banav uvnei veisoy tzrichin
l'kabel bifnei shlosha chaverim. Even
the family has to be mekabel in front of
three chaverim. And the reason is in the
deima chavar she kibel l'ben chavar she
kibel. Meaning you were Why would be the
svara that the children the baal bayis
don't have to make their own kabala?
Because their nimshach based on the baal
If the baal bayis only does it that way,
then they're probably also going to only
do it that way. Shmuel Gamliel says I'm
not so sure I agree with you. So the
father made a kabala, that's amazing for
him. But what does that have to do with
the children? I their father made a
kabala in a deima chavar she kibel for
himself l'ben chavar she kibel, right?
Not ben chavar she kibel. L'ben chavar
she kibel to be the son of
someone that was mekabel. So at the end
of the day, yeah, my father made a
kabala, that means something, but not
enough in Reb Shmuel Gamliel's world.
And then Reb Shmuel Gamliel said av
banav uvnei veisoy tzrichin l'kabel
bifnei shlosha chaverim. Meaning the
chachamim held that once the baal bayis
does it, so now we're ready, the
children are in. Now, am I 100%
convinced? No. Is it enough to be
mekabel in front of the father then in
and of itself is going to be okay? Reb
Shmuel Gamliel says you have to do more
than that. Tanu Rabbanan, next braysa.
Av baal l'kabel divrei chaverim.
Somebody comes to be mekabel divrei
chaverim, tzrichin l'kabel bifnei
shlosha chaverim. You have to be mekabel
in front of three chaverim. So we knew
that. That was the previous braysa.
V'afilu talmid chacham, here's the
chiddush tzrichin l'kabel bifnei shlosha
chaverim. Even a
talmid chacham has to be mekabel in
front of three chaverim. Zaken v'yoshev
b'yeshiva. What about a zaken v'yoshev
b'yeshiva, which means someone who's a
member of the Sanhedrin? Ein tzorech
l'kabel bifnei shlosha chaverim. He
doesn't have to be mekabel shlosha
chaverim. The reason is she kvar kibel
al uvashisha yashav. Because in order to
become a member of the Sanhedrin, this
was included in the entrance exam to
getting that. So you know, you had to
check off a lot of boxes. Remember in
the Sanhedrin, that was one of them.
Abba Shaul and Abba Shaul says,
even a Talmud Chacham doesn't have to.
But not just that,
that a
that want to be
in front of him, that's also going to be
a meaning the first part of the braysa
was also the previous braysa.
A Talmud Chacham,
even a Talmud Chacham that was never
is going to
is going to work for that. So
essentially, what do we have over here
in this
next braysa? It's the sixth braysa if
you're counting from the beginning, it's
the second braysa in the siman. By the
way, the first
word of the siman was right? The first
braysa about the chabura
it's probably the because of the
because all these are talking about a
chabura. So that's where you see it has
to be chabura. The second we're
referring to as Talmud because that's
the shaila over here. The shaila is does
a Talmud Chacham also have to be with
shlosha or not? The Tanna Kamma the say
yeah, Abba Shaul says not. Sounds a
little bit like what's going on here is
a
is the Talmud Chacham
a ne'eman as it relates to chabura or
maybe he's a as it relates to chabura.
Right, we mentioned in the this Talmud
Chacham and chabura are a little bit
synonymous here, high level. But
if someone is a Talmud Chacham, he has
the
status of a Talmud Chacham, which by the
way, over the years we've spoken about
this many times, different sugias in
Shas, the definition of Talmud Chacham
means something else. That's why this
theory is you have to be a Talmud
Chacham and not a Talmud Chacham.
You know, if you're going to take a a
hard position on what a Talmud Chacham
is, then the answer is no. If there's a
more liberal definition of a Talmud
Chacham, yeah, and really in different
sugias, you know, sometimes [snorts] we
say in halacha we do, sometimes we say
we don't. But the bottom line is is that
it sounds like there's a machlokes over
here whether a Talmud Chacham is by
definition a ne'eman or whether a Talmud
Chacham might be a a chashash. So the
Gemara says like this,
Rabbi Yochanan commented, he said "Ben
Noach
and Antignos
Mishnas Mishnas This
This price not mishnis price. But this
is the shafter. That suggests that a
Talmud Chacham needs to be mekabel
divrei chaveirim. It's the sheet of the
Chachamim, not Abba Shaul sheetah. You
want to know when this halacha was
taught? It was in the times
of the son of Rav Chananin ben Antignos.
What shiyach is?
So said Rebbe Yochanan, let me explain.
Rebbe Yehudah and Rebbe Yossi is stuck
with the most of this. Rebbe Yehudah and
Rebbe Yossi as in the great Rebbe
Yehudah and the great Rebbe Yossi. So
they once had a safek in the laws of
Tyras shaddu rabbonan legabe benoy shel
Rav Chananin ben Antignos. So they sent
a pair of rabbonan, zug shel chachamim,
to the son of Rav Chananin ben Antignos,
who apparently was a big bakki in the
world of Tyras. So um
they went and they would said zil imru
leil ayin bo. Right, the shlichus was
bring a physical Tyras and show it to
the son of Rav Chananin ben Antignos and
let him pasken. Let him see what the
story is. Anyway, azlu ashku degot on
Tyras. So they met
benoy shel Rav Chananin ben Antignos and
when they saw him, he himself was
carrying Tyras. So it's a little bit
confusing. They're bringing Tyras with
them because they have a shiyala that
they want to show the Rav. And when they
meet the Rav who's benoy shel Rav
Chananin ben Antignos, he himself is
carrying Tyras.
>> [snorts]
>> So in order for him to inspect their
Tyras, he had to put down his own Tyras.
So oisev rabbonan degot So he said, "I'm
going to put my Tyras down, but I need
shomrim." So he tells his own talmidim,
not these rabbonan. He tells his own
talmidim, "I want you to be shomrim. I
want you to watch the Tyras that I'm
putting down because you lay uni bo."
And then he went and he was mayin in the
Tyras that they brought. In other words,
benoy shel Rav Chananin ben Antignos is
going to look and engage in the shiyala,
but he has to put his Tyras down and he
wants to make sure they're shomrim.
Who's he protecting it from? From them,
right? These two Tommy chachamim that
are coming doesn't know who they are. So
as far as he knows, maybe that
Tyra's he doesn't know them. So he has
his own Tommy that are name on and
Tyra's he says watch this with your life
and make sure these two
as I engage in their Tyra's and I pass
him their
they don't come here. So again a little
windy but that's the story. So the says
also when these two
these are abandoned these
they went back to
you who they are. They
told him exactly what happened and they
said
that you should know that we were very
insulted. He managed didn't trust us as
well. We're coming with a Tyra's maybe
that's why he didn't trust him maybe
realize they don't know that
but he says look what's going on over
here. So he
said shall be the Tommy that I know.
He said
but no you should have him and I think
this is father who's but I don't know
right? Who's
after whom
a gate in the Derek and
he's also
it's a bizarre what he did.
So he was there he said
he said don't say that and
so so so so
she says means my law she ain't wasting
[snorts] Tyra's he's a
and really
ironically they took upon themselves
this incredible
as it relates to the Tyra's and it's for
that reason he's being very he's not
being Tommy
he's not saying that you're a
what he's saying is is that I have this
huge this is very high standard that I
hold myself to because
I am and he's not only calling a lot of
like that I'll be talking to you
being a little bit too sharp. This is
this is not something that you should
say but the bottom line is I'm
being made him and I think this is
this whole idea and this
that I tell him wouldn't be trusting you
might it go and lean entire it's counter
intuitive to what it is that we know
right we entire is that's what we're
talking about. You want to know when it
happened it happened during the circle
this time. You see from this might show
you
this is the way it was another brice's
a cover that those story of one of of
neighbors.
I really am because God's son.
They retain their kazaka.
Meaning if their father husband was
considered an Amon he was a
and they was sort of negra bus or him
right they never made a proper cabala.
So if that's the case what happens after
he dies? So they retain their kazaka
actually unless they become a shame.
Interesting this is a cancer where
people say trailers right as in
trailers. I really has got
it retains its kazaka as being a place
with that you can buy kosher trailers
until you find out otherwise. The case
is with the one different way that would
come sell in this cancer and it was
always a different way. So the way it
doesn't have a kazaka. Come watch on the
cancer has a kazaka. THIS IS A PLACE
WHERE WE KNOW that people do it the
right way and it's for that reason that
in and of itself
is going to be okay. One more brice's
turn around. It should be some orders.
She
>> [snorts]
>> misses the cover. The wife of an Amon
orders that marries the cover.
And this is the cover or you have the
daughter of an that married the cover.
I've been Amon orders. She never got the
cover that was all to a cover.
Three can be the cover of the cover of
the cover. They all have to be the cover
of the cover of the cover. So what
happened? Man gets married and he uh
marries someone who was previously the
wife of an Amon orders or the daughter
of an Amon orders. Or somebody buys an
Amon orders who previously worked for an
Amon orders. So these uh
women have all been respectively would
have to be the cover of the cover.
What's the cover? So I should say I'll
tell you what the cover is. The cover is
because the first of these latter prices
said that
according to the
only the person the
has to be
but
right they have to make a little bit of
a couple but they don't have to
come out
here is the way learns the punchline
that's only true if they were part of
the family at the time that the
made his couple so the the father leaves
in the morning he says
kitchen's never going to be the same I'm
on my way now to be
in front of three there so whoever's
part of the family that morning is going
to be included in this
but let's say this guy gets married a
year later or he buys an year later so
being that that person wasn't there at
the time of the original
it's not going to be included and that's
what this is coming to say so says the
will be in the reverse case if you have
an cover that marriage and this is
the
Chinese
smart screen after
you go now from
my I'm going backwards
into the couple of tequila they don't
have to cover the tequila
I've
they do have to cover the
children
used to say
throughout the and he says let me add a
connection to the name of
because used to say
the issue and this is the cover there
was once a woman who was married to a
but he said
or some of the gifts she was like
feeling all the
and she used to always put feeling on
him he was a very harsh for a person he
couldn't put feeling on himself and she
was there she was an
she was always putting on feeling this
is and then the same exact woman ended
up marrying an but
and then she used to start the tying the
receipts of the tax collector this was
like right the tax collector is possible
to everything from being
the
so
used to say that a woman I used to say
by law that's the way it is and if he's
good then it could have been if he's not
good it is what it is but at the end of
the day this Isha
is really
this is an Isha that's an Aza but that's
being connected right she's an Aza she's
an Aza but it's a connected to the Aza
because you're being
you're helping him do the wrong thing I
mean she's an Aza as the way Aza but
it's an Aza that's really working
against it's working connected but
bottom line the bottom line is just
because she was once an Isha's
so yeah then she wanted to please her
husband who was a now she wants to
please her husband that's a tax
collector so as a result it's not
necessarily going to apply either way so
again the whole end of the was a bunch
of we had the four that were really two
right one and three were talking to each
other two and four were talking to each
other and then we had the
and so far we went through the first
four of the right it was
what was
that we
have to with the of them I what about
the
second one was it with
all story with
does a
have to be
so
for sure not a regular person for sure
yeah this in between person and is a
that was a little bit of a
the third one was
what does
mean so really was referring to end of
that
the first part of the was talking about
more
that a should maze
is a base
has got to do with the same as true as
it relates to
and finally the last one was
what does it mean right when
get involved in the situation that was
just the story that was the again this
is just a just a way for you to remember
so is the the way to to remember even
though the is not about just like the
third is not about I mean it is but the
punchline you know it was not the
the punchline is not the
what was the
the
the Halacha
that an Ishas Am Ha'aretz that marries a
Haver or an Eved, if they weren't part
of the family at the time of the
original Kabbalah, they would have to
make a a fresher Kabbalah. What about in
the reverse? An Ishas Haver marries a
an Am Ha'aretz. That was a big
Machlokes. Chachamim held Eitzrichin
Kabbalas Haverus B'techila, they're
already grandfathered in from the
previous Zivug. Reb Meir held they do.
And the reason Reb Meir holds a woman
could be an Ishas K'sheira that's
Oiseres Sein Ba'alah, really depending
on who her husband is, that's what she's
going to go along with. So when her
husband was a Haver, she went along with
it. But now that the husband is a a
Meches, hence Meches over here, maybe
not.
