hi everybody I'm R crait here from the
lsta just giving a update on the
happenings via the scoop today we have
sent out starting from last night the
bus passes to the schools via email some
schools have been in touch with their
parents about where to pick up the bus
passes some people are getting the word
out by other means whether it's Robo
calls or text we leave that up to the
schools but the schools that were routed
um have that info and they have been in
touch with appearance tomorrow as we
start the uh busing process you can
expect delays and I'm prepared that
there will be mistakes and we are aware
of that the you can uh email to the lsta
office at info at Lakewood
sta.org or you can call the LSA number
and we'll be logging you know by Vendor
by school and sending it to the vendors
at the end of the day as a means of
keeping keeping in touch and keeping
track of the issues the normal standard
beginning of the year issues um
we at the lsta and my team we uh
accepted the challenge of running this
and trying to create a healthier and
more efficient bus service or bus
concept for the community for for this
year and M the next two years and and
Beyond and I well understand that this
is only going to be done and could be
done with the partnership of the MERS
and the parents and some of the MERS
have really jumped on board whether it's
combining Roots which I'm heard I'm sure
you heard about some have shifted their
arrival times in the morning to create
more Roots some of the some of the the
schools that have their own bus
companies had given up their spot in the
bidding to a later date so their kids
could start on time and as well um a lot
of the parents have been in touch with
me and sent you know nice regards or
words of encouragement and really it's
not me it's a team effort in trying to
create the system the busing system of
old For Better or For Worse is no longer
an option it wasn't an option after the
budget cuts of the 7,000 kids who were
being the non-mandated who were being um
who whose whose buses were busing um
subsidies were slashed and um I think
over the next couple of days as we
slowly roll out the um the the buses and
the TR traffic and all the frustrations
we'll see a little taste of what it
would have looked like and uh we hope
that um in a week from now things will
be calm and things will be running to
the best of our abilities I understand
that there will be mistakes in some of
the routes I understand that some buses
may not show up I understand um all
these things and we're asking that you
the parents you continue to be patient
with us as we work for you and with you
in figuring this out and getting this
massive transition from the Boe to a
entity 30,000 kids plus ble Hara in a
matter of a couple of weeks so in
closing I will continue to update and
get the word out and be transparent with
everybody so that you as my partners and
my sh in this um know what's going on
and um that's it for now have a good day
and uh we'll leave updates as they come
in
