It has been so much fun working on the Family Siddur series with my dear colleagues at Park Avenue Synagogue. These siddurim (prayer books) for Shabbat and holidays are designed especially for young learners and their adults to use together. As we send the 4th volume to print this week, I’m thinking about feelings of warmth and connectivity, highlighting that we are each a unique link in a beautiful chain of tradition passed down from generation to generation. I hope this setting of L’dor Vador, with playful images from the new Siddur, evoke these sentiments and add to your Shabbat experience. www.azischwartz.com Lyrics: [End of Kedushah] L’dor va-dor nagid godlekha u-l’netzah n’tzahim k’dushat’kha nakdish. V’shivhakha Eloheinu mi-pinu lo yamush l’olam va-ed, ki El melekh gadol v’kadosh atah. Barukh atah Adonai ha-El ha-kadosh. From one generation to another we will declare Your greatness, and forever sanctify You with words of holiness. Your praise will never leave our lips, for You are God and Sovereign, great and holy.
