KOSHER LUXURY IN THE SKY!! Flying Etihad Business Class TLV - AUH - JFK (Inaugural Flight)

[Music] so [Music] hello so this is the business class seat from tel aviv abu dhabi leg room here check this out [Music] this is fresh squeezed lemonade with mint so it's amazing like every time i fly this rouge from israel to the united arab emirates i need to pinch myself to make sure it's real because i used to fly this route all the time but i used to fly with a stomp stopover because before the abrahamic courts it's the only thing you could do so i used to fly through turkey or through jordan and through europe it was always a hassle sometimes i flew through romania oh man thank god we're in this time and place where we're able to fly directly between these two countries and it's a total game changer it saves so much time and so much heartache and it just makes the whole journey so much easier and so much more enjoyable [Music] okay okay thank you i can't believe we're drinking wine over saudi arabia oh yeah true right this is a chicken breast with some colorful rice and we have a quinoa salad some kind of dessert a roll olive oil and a delicious glass of white kosher wine [Music] good morning from abu dhabi united arab emirates so we came here yesterday from tel aviv on etihad and now today is a very big day because we're heading to new york on the etihad inaugural flight on the airbus a350 1000 new aircraft that's flying to new york for the first time with this airline and we are super excited for that please join me on this journey full disclosure i did not pay for any of this ethie had invited me to join this inaugural experience and i'm sharing it with you just wanted to make that clear thank you very much thank you [Music] thank you very much [Music] good morning good thank god how are you second floor thank you [Music] good morning how are you [Music] so i'm in the etihad first class lounge at abu dhabi airport and surprise surprise we even had kosher meals available weren't fresh kosher meals but they were frozen had it heated up and i'm about to dig in flight is very soon so i'm going to quickly run so i just got out of the u.s border control and customs facility here in abu dhabi and one of the unique things that they have here in abu dhabi airport is the fact that you can go through u.s customs and border control still in abu dhabi which saves you a lot of time when you get to the united states so because we're flying to new york today usually when i would land in new york i would need to go through customs and show my passport and possibly they would check my bags now that's all done already here in abu dhabi it's the only airport in the entire middle east that has this service so when you land in the united states you just grab your bags and leave the airport and you're free to go [Music] good morning [Music] so we are about to take off for new york uh it's about a 15-hour flight so that's long but thank god i'm in a very comfortable seat with the great staff and i'm really looking forward to this yesterday's flight was too short so we took off about 15 minutes ago and now they're handing out the inaugural certificates for this flight from abu dhabi as a religious jew the first thing i'm supposed to do in the morning is pray today i wasn't able to do it first thing in the morning because i had to run to the airport from my hotel in order to catch the flight so i'm going to do it now right here [Music] wow that was really really great so well rested and now it's time to do some spiritual work [Music] okay guys so i just want to show you around the business class suite number one we have this door right here which is for privacy it opens and closes so originally when i saw it i was like you know who cares it's not doesn't really go high up and this will go to the ceilings it's not that much privacy but when i laid down to take a nap um i did feel like it was much more private with the door there so door's very much appreciated there's great leg room check this out i've never seen this on an airplane before but usually when i'm traveling i bring along a wire to charge my phone sometimes i lose the wire the wire breaks or whatever this has wireless charging put your phone down there you go there's charging so if you lose your wire or whatever nothing to worry about and there's a little compartment over here where you can keep a couple things also you got the power supply so if you open this up there's proper outlet for your laptop or whatever you can keep your passport and boarding passes in there there's a controller for the monitor over here entertainment system there's another compartment here it has more space and another compartment here that holds a water bottle tray table is very slick comes out clicks you can open it up again it really doesn't take up a lot of space and it's quite large so if you want to put down a book or your computer or a meal or a game just lots of space and it's amazing how small it is when it folds up and it doesn't interfere with you in any way another thing i need to point out is this awesome blanket that we had so the blanket is firm on one side other side is like fuzzy but it's not just fuzzy it's like the kind of thing that you can give to a newborn baby with them is like this really soft velvety delicious blanket which you can use on either side obviously i use the fuzzy side but it just enhanced um the whole experience so much more and i've never seen one like this on any other airline so once again way to go at the end this is the amenity kit for the parma very nice these are chocolates that were provided especially for this flight because it's an inaugural they are not kosher but still a very much appreciated gesture and i'm gonna give them aways and so on now this i thought was very cool this light over here you can see the unique design that light was designed to resemble a palm tree so if you're laying in the sand under a palm tree and light is streaming in from the sun this is what it would look like you got that reflection and i just think that's a very nice touch that adds so much to the sweets additionally it kind of takes you back to the heritage of the united studies so definitely a very nice addition to this already wonderful business class suite the seat was very comfortable um i personally found that the best position is when you recline it a little bit so you're kind of sitting upright but still in a more relaxed position that was the most comfortable concern for me live flat had an amazing nap and all together definitely recommend this suite if you can fly go ahead and do that i mentioned earlier that this is an inaugural flight so obviously etihad has been flying from abu dhabi to jfk for years daily flights so it's not a new route but it's a new aircraft this is the airbus a350 1000 which i believe uses 25 less fuel so it's much more energy efficient because of the energy efficiency it's also a much quieter aircraft so the motors don't make as much noise the engine doesn't make as much noise and that results in a more relaxing flight you can sleep better so once again really great aircraft and it's been an amazing experience thank you very much to
