KOSHER LUXURY IN MEXICO (had too much fun)

[Music] foreign [Music] but the good news is we just landed at Cancun Mexico and we need to get over to Playa del Carmen this absolute chaos here with all the taxi drivers screaming trying to get your attention [Applause] [Music] I am in Playa del Carmen Mexico at the Grand Hyatt and I gotta show you this view in my room unbelievable take a look it's just unreal I've stayed in so many amazing hotels throughout my tenure as a world traveler but this view this view tops it all the hotel invited me to come check out this property and I didn't know this until very recently but there's a lot kosher restaurant in this hotel plenty of kosher food options available in this town and for the first time in history kosher food is becoming so accessible wherever you are so I want to show you what is possible when you're vacationing in Mexico [Music] hello I'm starving just finished checking into my room I'm in a private Cabana at the water and they have a kosher pool menu check this out it's awesome you order hot kosher food to the Cabana and lunch is gonna happen here on the water look we just arrived kosher food at the pool check this out we have a hot dog guacamole and chicken fingers everything comes sealed to make sure it's kosher I'm at the water in my private Cabana eating a kosher hot dog can like it better than this [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] this is a veal chop out of this world mashed potatoes sweet barbecued ribs from fries and I feel like I'm gonna have it thank you good morning good morning good how are you and you great thanks for having kosher breakfast delivered right to the room never seen anything like it we have bagels and pastries we have an omelette of fresh fruit we have tuna salad and egg salad thank you [Music] foreign [Music] kayaking I have to get this stupid ladies hat because it didn't have any men's hats available at the gift shop well they did have some but nothing that would protect me from the Sun properly I have to put away my camera because I don't want it to get wet and ruined but I'm sure this is going to be awesome I almost have stripped I just got out of the kayaks I'm still wearing my sillies on hand now it's not so silly because it is protecting me from the Sun however um I don't like the way it looks because again it's a ladies hat I wanted something more Indiana Jones but I didn't have that here I found the spot by the pool which is really private it's like in the pool area it's like kind of like a fountain I feel like people gonna start throwing pennies in at me but I am here and um found this place where I can't see anyone else and no one else can see me the best part of this is that as an Orthodox Jewish Hasidic religious whatever you want to call me guy I'm not supposed to be hanging out in pools where there's women swimming we are at this Resort there are a lot of women swimming here I don't want to be in that area so I found this private spot and it's awesome okay so I have to make one correction I said no one could see me well actually thank God one of the waiters saw me and I got this cocktail climb all kosher so now that I'm done at the pool there is a spa at the hotel separate for men separate for women two separate spas and we have a dry song and a wet sauna and a cold plunge pool and it's gonna be awesome foreign Delicious lemon ginger tea just got out of the sauna and the cold plunge pool I am at like levels of relaxation that I haven't had in years [Music] foreign [Music] ly walking the main street here which is called Fifth Avenue in Playa and uh very touristy I must say but there's also a lot of Jewish things happening there's a Chabad there's a bunch of kosher restaurants I'm going to show you that soon I'm gonna head into a souvenir shop hello [Music] the store is like a pharmacy and a bar and a souvenir shop and whatever you need to have it here okay so I just came out of the store here now we were shopping for souvenirs turns out that on Fifth Avenue which is the main street everything is double the price as one street over so if you go to 10th Avenue which is the next street you will pay 50 off for souvenirs keep that in mind if you're coming here [Music] good morning day three of the Mexican Adventure I'm sitting here at the entrance of the hotel and the hotel arranged a big day for me to go around and see some things outside of the property ziplining ATV etc etc and they packed up kosher food for us to go from the restaurant so that there is no hungry slimy because that would be a very bad thing about to go ATV okay do this [Music] just finished with ATVs which was awesome and now doing a zip line first time in my life excited a little bit nervous but I'm sure it's gonna be fine climbing up the tower we're from theater at the top the zipline leaves it's a big climb about to start this zipline thing never done it before Alex yeah oh my gosh I'm so nervous okay so how do I hold it I don't know oh my God everything I hope you enjoyed the activities that was intense yeah get ready with your belongers take your stops oh my gosh okay I'm back at the hotel exhausted because it was a long day and I'm hungry now I never ever touched the TV in a hotel room but today I'm going to make an exception because I don't want to watch anything through the TV I can order kosher food right into my room so we're gonna try to figure this out there's a bunch of different options available I'm going to select in-room dining kosher Spanish and kosher English menu let's do that okay wow pico de gallo I had this yesterday it's delicious Caesar salad we didn't try that yet grilled salmon plate chicken sandwich beef burger okay we're gonna go with the pico de gallo let's add it to my cart okay we want the burger we're gonna get the chicken fingers as well added the cards amazing press one to view cards to continue place settings we're gonna pick two now here's the coolest part it says press order to submit here is the order button processing your order has been submitted that's awesome is it kosher yes it's pushing perfect thank you okay so food came to the room brought it down to the pool to eat here in the private Cabana that they reserved for me what's really cool about this and I love the service is that when the room service comes and they bring the food they show you there's a seal but it's kosher here it says kosher and the name of the mashikia Michal who's on duty right now to know that there is accountability let's see what they have for us today foreign that is the kosher restaurant the very high-end coach restaurant here at the Grand Hyatt of Playa del Carmen but now I'm heading out into the streets again because I want to check out some of the other kosher establishments that are in town there are a whole bunch of other kosher restaurants here and I want to have a quick look at those so join me for that so I'm at the entrance to the hotel my GPS shows me that the first kosher restaurant two smokers is eight minutes away let's go [Music] the area outside the hotel is very Lively lots of music playing things happening but it also feels very safe I'm constantly seeing the police everywhere so Mexico kind of has like you know an iffy reputation but walking the streets here alone at night feels totally safe and thank God so far everything's been wonderful so we're the big intersection here we're about to pass by a kosher Smokehouse called two smokers check it out [Music] another restaurant called Moshe Kube or something like that also kosher this is another kosher restaurant Platinum kosher Grill it's about a block and a half away from the Grand Hyatt so there are a handful of other restaurants as well but I'm not going to visit all of them just wanted to show you a little bit about what's going on here in Playa and how much kosher is available now I don't usually eat at the same restaurant three nights in a row but sometimes I have to make an exception and this place let me tell you even if it was just for the drinks it'd be worth it to come here the cocktails are amazing I'm not embarrassed yes I'm a man and I'm drinking these things they're delicious and it's very Lively here so people are enjoying a party nearby and you can hear the noise [Music] thank you good morning it's almost sunrise and I'm here in Playa as my last day because in a couple of minutes after Dominic chakras and eating something I gotta run to the airport good morning can I please order breakfast please thank you so that's it it's time to go check
