You know the says a little light dissipates a lot of darkness. We see that during Hanukkah time. The reason why we light [music] the uh at night specifically is because what the Greeks [music] wanted to do is to put us in darkness by depriving us of the study of Torah. Torah is light and therefore basically we're in darkness. So to commemorate the miracle that God made for us that we overcame the Greeks and therefore [music] we're able to go back to the books. So we're therefore uh we illuminate the night with the light and that's done eight nights a year which is which is great which is the 25 rabbis that learn [music] at midnight every night in our synagogue in Brooklyn. there the kanuka of the entire year because the nights are very dark and the nights are very dangerous and the world is very dangerous and we need protection and therefore we established not an 8-day hanuka we established a 365day hanuka and it's not a physical light or a candle [music] it's human beings this is the real or we took 25 rabbis that they themselves are the torch of Torah and they are keeping the burning flame lit the entire night and it's bringing us protection. It's bringing us bara. Well, it's the only one of its kind and that was the old custom in Syria. They did it and Rabbi Abraham testified as long as they were doing it in Syria, the community was protected. The old custom in Hanukkah was to uh to give charity to the to the Rebes or to the teachers. It's a time where we show our let's say our gratitude to those that make us aware of the Torah. So now's a great time to show our gratitude to these rabbis who leave [music] their wives and families every single night. They stay home alone and they're learning for us.
