friend tells a beautiful beautiful story about jesse story of a jew who's driving up in the mountains in the catskills and he sees up ahead as a car pulled over looks a little closer flat tire and he sees the gentleman who's trying to deal with the flatheads one of the yamakas of course he stops the car he goes helps him out and as he's looking at him he sees that the talking he has a very very heavy puerto rican type of accent and then he takes a look it doesn't look very very jewish and then he notices on his neck a necklace and there's a cross on the on the necklace and he's very confused he's wearing a yarmulke he's got a cross doesn't look terribly jewish so he asks him are you jewish because no no i'm not jewish i'm puerto rican so why are you wearing that skull cap on your head your christian says yeah i'm a christian i why am i wearing this because my mother told me any time that i'm traveling i have issues with the car keep this keep this skull cap in your car when you have some kind of issue put it on as you are trying to fix your car someone is going to stop for you and help you and and help you out and help you fix your car that's the story and it's such a true story it's it resonates the fact that we've seen a jew in distress on the side of the street will always go and help him out that's the israel the jew is there for his fellow jew that's the nature of but sometimes it seems to me that we are even more giving to strangers we see that stranger on the street we're there for him we see a yamago we're there we're there to help out because sure i'm going to go ahead and stop the car changes flat helping with the tire but what about the jews that are closest to us what about our spouses what about our parents what about our siblings to have that same focus of hesse but even more so obviously they're in totally in our orbit even more so we focus on that sense of hazard not just with the jew that we don't know but taking some time every single day to be focused on those that are so close to us our spouses our children our parents our siblings grandparents be focused and that we can do for every single jew not just those that are distant but certainly culture came for sure those that are closer have a wonderful day
