in chapter 14 of genesis we find that abraham avraham avinu becomes the leader of the world appointed leader elected leader this is a revolutionary idea for its time because all ancient kings and emperors ruled that way of conquest or inherited positions of power but avramaviru was the first leader i would guess in in all of history a monarch and a king who was voted in voted into position true god had said he was going to be the founding father of the jewish people and had even called him an ab hamongayam which means he would be a leader of the world but that was not a god appointment rather the people themselves and the torah describes it the people themselves chose him the world community as rashi tells us in chapter 14 of genesis the world community in a place called emek hamelech which literally means the valley of the king called cold as such because there that the king of the of the world was the king of the world was was appointed in fact the world community had a global conference as russian describes it and appointed afromavino as the king over them to say that even more succinctly if you read the story there were a whole numerous bunch of kings all the kings got together all the kings of the world got together and appointed avraham as their global king why why how did it happen did was that you know on a campaign trail you know were there advertisements was he was he like making big promises to them not at all was not looking for the job well here's the story there were actually four kings who muscled up and they got together and they they started to bully the world in fact they they they caused the world war they started a war asumal hamad they started a war it was a world war i was dragged on for for for years and years and years and what happened at a certain point the world was witness to the reaction of abraham what happened was that i've heard about this gets up and says hey this is crazy this is crazy i will demand social justice who will demand i am holding that if there was a there's a world war there's an alliance there's many kings getting together and about adam says i don't care but we do what's right this is wrong this is wrong and he stands up a one-man show you know and he ensured insurance with his bare hands with his bare hands that he's going to take down these four kings and he does he goes to battle the taurus has 318 men right that's against the entire world community a little guy avro and indeed he's so he's so set and tenacious he says he gets it done of course god must have helped and at that point he's elected leader of the world afro wasn't just like a political activist he was a human rights activist that would i would argue the very first human rights activist and the world saw it the human human kind was enamored and wowed by by that revolutionary ideas to stand up for what's right great leadership is it is about standing up for what's right and any of us ought to be and become leaders how leaders in our communities or or beyond how if we see something is wrong stand up take a stand and say this is wrong and fix it good luck
