Everyone counts- Rabbi Eitiel Goldwicht

taking a census is something that every government and every country does trying to understand how many people live in this country there's also the jewish census understanding how many jews live around the world this week's torah portion jewish wisdom teaches us though how to take that census it says and you should lift the heads of every jew which means count every single head understand how many jews live around the world but it doesn't say you should count it says you should lift the head of every jew the rabbis teach us that when we count every jew we have to teach them that every jew counts see we don't just count the people we try to show everyone that they're an integral part of the jewish people that is what our story is all about shabbat shalom from jerusalem
