KLM: Mobilizing our Minds and Hearts with Kavanah For War with Rabbi Asher Baruch Wegbreit

[Music] first of all I want to welcome uh all the listeners from Y and uh I want to say I'm not just speaking to the Jewish people right now I'm speaking to the many many righteous good caring njws who have uh who are standing by our side this is for all of you it's about two weeks it's about two weeks from the following horror if I had to describe the situation here in Israel for those of you interested to know um we've moved from horror not totally but we moved from horror to Danger imminent intense danger now I'm speaking in Israel it's more directed at us but it's also we see around the world uh to to quote a statistic there's been a 400% increase in anti-Semitism around the world so there's imminent danger everywhere everywhere and I want to bring up uh a pretty scary I want to share with you an interview to help us understand what we're up against many years ago my rebi uh shared he he heard an interview where at the time a secular uh Israeli was interviewing um a uh you know a Palestinian at the time of an inada and it was a long inada and it really went on for a while so the Israeli report reporter says to the to that this Arab he says you know what you're doing uh seems really stupid it seems so in uh it makes no sense why you're just you're ruining your economy you know by by by persisting to do this you're messing up your economy so this Arab said back to him he says says that's the difference between um us and you we're willing to die for what we believe in what about you that's what we're up against now times have changed right we see now that hundreds of thousands of Jews are willing to die for the Jewish people willing to die for the land that Hashem blessed us with eritel that's what's happened it's so inspiring people leaving Thailand and the the various places they've been scattered you know and coming back people uh enlisting Etc so maybe maybe we're moving that up right we are in physical terms but aim we still do not have a chance we do not have a chance unless we up the game spiritually no chance okay so uh let me uh let me just uh bring a very very ancient text that is um come true again and again and again the prophets the NM the Jewish prophets so besides you know one of the things that has strengthened Torah Judaism and why there's so many people who are returning and also a lot of non-jews are are going directly to the source why because you know after a while when you when you see the manifestation of so many prophecies you start to say maybe maybe what it's saying about the Jewish people is true okay but that's not what I want to talk about I want to talk about if you will the plot that's in the navi okay you have to have patience to study the prophets why because it's the same story again and again and again the Jewish people are close to Hashem they realize they're close to each other and then they drift right and then they start to be affected by false beliefs the beliefs of the world they get attracted to shortcuts to spirituality shortcuts to success and what happens again and again Hashem sends an enemy and the enemy is stronger than them I just saw someone say that the this war could be seven fronts seven fronts against little old Israel seven fronts okay again and again if Hashem wants to the enemies can definitely overpower us physically with all our courage physically what happens time and time again I pray this time what happens the Jews realize that they got themselves into this mess they drifted from Hashem they got petty with each other right and they they started to become less connected right and so what do they do they pray out they repent they do chuva they come back right that's the story right so we really really I I want to kind of again bring some evidence and you know what's so beautiful and so amazing I'm seeing so many people that did not grow up with Judaism that did not uh have a background that whatever pro-israel but what what we're seeing is an openm mindedness and a hop heartness because we know that we need each other right and here's the thing you know the this statement I think was made by a pastor or something but it came from the Novi that I just quoted right you know the statement right there are no atheists in a fox Soul somebody called it Foxhole religion right so that there's no the Army it's just unbelievable they're adorning tites they're asking for toilin they're praying they're asking for blessings right no atheist in a foxhole that's what you see that's the essence of the prophets that when Hashem turns up the heat and convinces us we're not going to do this without him and that we're here on Earth to be connected to him and if we drift away nothing's going to help us right then we we realize we're in a foxhole and we get back get oursel back together okay so that that's that's Jewish history 101 and and again I've been I've been been asked you know by the people who want me to try to um be able to spread you know kavana La Mitzvah around the world so they asked me to join uh a social media the only social media I'm on is called LinkedIn and it has all these very impressive professionals Etc and so I'm involved there and what I see though is it's just classic people are coming to grips with the fact that a media campaign um without a Shem is also going to fail seven fronts physically right and endless people who ignore rational arguments compelling AR they don't care okay and they just simply hate us all right so media campaigns we did it helps it could be it could help it could be part of it it could be part of our Arsenal but if we think that that's going to win the war we're being we'll be smashed to Smither Rings God forbid okay so I just want to point out it the the the central place is we have to reconnect right je the the there's a definitely cooking up the pot and now let's hear what to do about it okay so first of all I want to just convince you of the the key thing I opened up with this Arab in the inap right so what do you hear from what he said we're willing to die for what we believe in it I'll tell you we need to extract something there and this is the key in our spiritual effort if we want to mobilize this is what we need to do what do you hear from that sincerity sincerity that we need to constantly um we need to constantly recharge and refocus sincerity with Hashem a hundred blessings we do a day a 100 blessings could be unbelievable uh an unbelievable offense for us okay but it's hard because they're repetitive so we need to muster up sincerity let me give you an example of the power of Jewish sincerity okay I've told the story for different reasons I'm just going to focus on this as it may be known that a lot of Israelis after they get out of the army they travel the world so and th this was told by the person the Israeli who had the experience he told a rabbi who who I heard this Rabbi tell this in the besset he said like this uh they were camping in Africa I don't know where in Africa and they're in whatever the sleeping bags in the middle of the night in the middle of night there's like a shrieking sound the the one two israelies right so one of them an anaconda right an anac I think it was Anaconda had completely enveloped him and his friend looked his friend couldn't even speak but the guy who was wrapped up with the Anaconda went like this he shrieked out the Jewish NA national anthem listen Jewish people Hashem is our God Hashem is one the snake disappeared on the moment that was then let me tell you a story uh not a story I saw the interview my wife forwarded this I hope you've seen this okay there was a woman who showed what it looked like she was in stero right we one of the where the horrible vicious acts occurred she's there and she's looking from the window and she sees all these terrist this raiding the entire area so listen to what she does all right she says as follow she says she she says I looked up to Hashem and I begged him I saides if you save my children and you save me I'm GNA observe the Shabbat the way it should be I'm going to practice the Sabbath the way it should be and they passed by her that's what sincerity That's The Power of sincerity and she was sincere she went they showed scenes of her you know going over to where the religious people were on chabas okay so that's you hear the goal is sincerity right this is what we have to produce now as I as uh parrot mentioned right now we're going to uh I want to really uh um I want to really help us uh intensify our connection to the blessings we're making tonight a blessing is El uh you're the source of blessing you right Hashem our god king of the universe and then it says something else okay tonight I want to focus first and foremost on three words at you Hashem elokenu okay and of course what we want to do is strap onto our recital of these blessings Mitzvah daisa and I just this is something that I think always Bears repeating the word cavana which is a beautiful word has two different meanings and it's two different areas there is what most people think of um by cavana is sincere focus and concentration okay that's kavana salave but the other kavana that empowers what we're doing just exponential is such a poor um description exponentially uh uh raises it is when we attach Mitzvah to it okay so let's uh without f further Ado let's work onu I'm just going to share screen one more moment hey we good we good parrot yes it's good thanks alrighty you know I have to control myself here this was a very difficult slide for me to make because it o it mentions only one Mitzvah when you say at in prayer or in a blessing that was a killer because I know six but let's it we we want to you know if ever there was a time to not treat this class as a TV show it's now obviously we know let me just remind ourselves we're imminent danger so every and we have to realize every single success is unbelievably important okay so ready just one Mitzvah and it's a biggie okay so again when you pray to God okay but I'm focused on the blessings right so you say you say you you're referring to Hashem and you say you okay now that is a starting point of all Jewish observance if you look in the very beginning of the missioner bre the right so the um you'll see right up front there besides getting up early like a soldier besides that immediately you see um the MIT of Shem to place AEM before me okay that it says this is the quality of all the righteous people we emulate and admire is that ability to place AEM in our presence okay okay so here's the thing I want to say this is step one now what why do I have to place AEM you know I have to place myself maybe in front of Hashem it sort of means that in other words right um and this is the this is our greatness our greatness is we recognize that the creator of the universe that who the one we call God we can't perceive him in a sensory thing but we know he's there right so what my point is this what I when you say you right that means you're speaking to someone I know you know that right but look at you right uh I want you to look at you for this week as an instruction to be aware that you're speaking to Hashem that Hashem is present draw placing him before me means hasem is there but we need to place him into our awareness it's an act action an active Act of of drawing our awareness that Hashem is present okay so that's your job okay now remember have intention too you know and you can declare it now even right AES I I am maabo myself let's say B that when I say you I am I I intend to fulfill the Mitzvah of sh AEM drawing AEM into my presence as you've commanded me right so have intention that's kav mitzvah for this Focus right so you step number one is just make sure that Hashem is there you're speaking to him make sure you are aware that you're speaking to him the right you could add every time you see a at the end you you're also saying you or the atas but we're saying this 19 times right at least at least it's much more when you when you do the Shon or those hundred blessings right so look the goal here do you think if a a soldier shoots a gun and he doesn't hit the target do you think he's saying oh I'm not succeeding at this you know we just keep shooting okay don't get down if you can't do this every time but try try you know the soldiers are aware of the imminent danger we need to remind ourselves of their danger Etc and we have to keep shooting keep shooting every time you have a u right right realize you're speaking to Hashem and draw into your presence okay that's I'm only giving two assignments here okay I'm boiling it down because it's critical and uh that we SU Ed here as best as we can we have to show Hashem that we're sincere okay ready so that's a you but now we want to make this Rich okay we want to enrich this connection of blessings and prayer because here's the thing again we repeat the same thing again and again and that can cause uh this is you know one of the reasons that opened this whole uh foundation for is we have a very tall task to stay mentally present to stay stay emotionally present to cleave to AEM we have a tall task because we're asked to repeat things okay so the way we can do this more even more sincerely is to realize who it who are we speaking to right so when you say say concentrate I want you to concentrate that I just said you that means Hashem is present and I'm speaking to him right that's all I'm asking now but ready Hashem eloho Hashem Our God this is going to enrich this tremendously okay and we're going to strap more more mitah daisa in to the situation okay let me just here we are Hashem our god what Mitzvah again if you were to challenge me I could produce a lot of Mitzvah when you write those words what I've normally taught you and I'll say it on the side is those words when AEM which we pronounce adoni right so when you are cognizant of what that word means which means Adon master of everything that you're treating his name with reverence elokenu right we say our God but when you're conscious that means he's that Hashem is the is the ma is completely capable and mighty okay you're treating that name with reverence so that's a Mitzvah of yours Hashem having reverence for his name but that's not that's not solders that's not your assignment at the moment if you get if you if you have room for it in your Consciousness in your heart great but if not this is what I want you to concentrate after you've said at and said I'm fulfilling the mitah of shi and you draw AEM into your awareness I want you to fulfill the following command mitzvah it's the first of the Ten Commandments I okay ready in English I am Hashem your God who took you out of Egypt and the house of slavery right that's the Mitzvah here Hashem El let me explain this is big okay how do we what do we know about Hashem so the word Hashem alludes to the fact that he created and is constantly uh recreating the world okay the Creator what are some of the things you know about Hashem he's the creator of all existence okay now something that uh another thing about him he keeps his promises right and he promised Abraham Isaac and Yakov right he promised them I'm going to bring your children to Israel and he promised them that there will be a Final Redemption where the Messiah will come and we will there will be a Utopia for the world right the Hashem that word means I keep my promises to the Jewish people okay so we know Hashem is crater keeps his promise promises okay now very very good that's the word hasem okay who took now how okay now let's go to elokenu elokenu Mighty powerful uh supervisor right Divine Providence okay supervision of everything that's going on in the word that's elenu our God that's what that's what we mean okay where did we know this how did we discover this from Egypt right this is why it's the first commandment right the first of the Ten Commandments is Hashem identifies himself the Jewish people here if you will the voice of God saying I am Hashem right I am the creator of all existence right and I keep my promises and then El there your God which was who took you out of J meaning I demonstrated that I run the entire world and manage everything by The Miracles of mitz ran in other words you know do I control the weather I control water blood I control wild animals you go through the list right that when you're this is a reminder when you make a blessing is a reminder I'm the God who took you out of Egypt that's who who who is the you the one who took us out of Egypt the one who is created existence and maintaining existence and managing existence and keeping his promises to us can you imagine if you have that in mind when you sayu so you can just code this as a noi right you who hem elu right the Creator who re who revealed to us that he's in control of everything now here's something people uh are are less aware that here's the thing does Hashem control what people think about us this is so important this is I'm I'm shifting back to the anti-Semitism challenge that's going around the world and the media and the attempts to try to convince the world that war righteous and Yak shamam is not Etc right so does Hashem control what people think of us right absolutely where did we learn this the we devastated Egypt right we de hasem we excuse me hasem devast devastated mitam with the 10 plagues we ruined their economy yeah so they hated us and enslaved us for 400 years tortured us did infanticide but they weren't as uh uh what do you call it beastly as as um our current enemy right Hamas shimo okay but the thing is this um we they hated us they were the first or or like the greatest mass of anti-semite semites there were and what happened when we when we when Hashem trounced the country they gave us their wealth willingly it says the Torah said commandment prayer is a Torah commandment okay but that's not the language it doesn't say you shall pray to Hashem when you're in trouble it does not that's not the language it uses it says you shall cry out to Hashem you shall shout out and cry out to Hashem when you're in trouble okay so rinus discusses this in charil that and you'll see this in every time of danger from the from when we the prayers that got out that got us out of MRI were not prayers they were outcries we cried out we shouted out we were sincere sh is right we were like that okay so if you want to fulfill this Mitzvah of prayer and quotes in a times of trouble before you say to to first of all have in mind that you're fulfilling and pay attention to this words of the Mitzvah the to cry out right we have to cry out sincerely right sincerely and that as we say in as when you cry out to sincer you're automatically close to Hashem you have his ear if you will right we we're pleading let your ears in quotes hear this we have a shem's ears we have his focus when we cry out sincerely okay so I just want let I wanted to state that so right now we're going to recite um uh the tum uh let's do yeah let's do uh 130 okay to Hill 130 and uh I believe that uh the people who can do this in Hebrew will have have it available but we're also posting in English for anybody uh who wants to recite this prayer to cry out right now since I'm just guiding this let's add some other Mitzvah right let let us remember that we're doing this Mitzvah to achieve D vacas and closeness to hem as As He commands us and we're doing this uh we're doing this with heartfelt compassion about all the people in captivity all the people who are in danger who are risking their lives all the people that are facing anti-Semitism around the world all the people that are scared and anxious and broken let us have fulfill the Mitzvah of emulating divine compassion hasem feels tremendous compassion for us more than we can for ourselves so let's emulate AEM and feel before we start we I'll just give a moment for us to think of uh feel compassion for everybody okay and re and and also let's again we're strapping Torah Commandments onto this let's also and have in mind the Mitzvah of K right have that in mind all right and also let's say this with a contrite heart which means that we realize we need to improve ourselves um even when we just feel sincere regret for not doing as much as we should not acting properly right for speaking Lush and haror for getting angry for acting inappropriately right when you just feel sincere that's a level of chuva everyone's saying do chuva that you can do that that's chuva Okay so um uh what we'll do is uh just take a moment to just align your hearts and I I say just take a few seconds everybody who cares uh and uh try to scroll through um the people especially in the South especially in the North in Israel all around the world that are in danger and let us realize that Shem is
