We just discussed deployment plans.
So we have to start with the 400
and then they have to go with it and
then we going to kind of go down 7977
and concert as well.
Um, chief
Yeah, I just want to say quickly for the
CO's in the borough field
Um, I'm a CO. So just um
you know
this year especially as we always do put
security and have good presence during
Passover but this year especially with
everything going on with Iran and
terror terror attacks that we have here
at
we just had one and attempted one over
the city and they had So this is very
real. So I want you guys to take this
very seriously and when we talk about
deployment it's just like anything else.
Just make sure you look at the assist
with the manpower as well. Okay, so if
you guys are falling short anyway or any
with any uh
areas that you want to cover please let
us know but we have to make sure it's
adequate coverage.
Uh, before we get started we do have
sanitation here.
We do have someone from FDNY here.
Um
Once again it's it's great to see
everybody here. You know, thank you to
the chiefs here as well.
We've done this four years now together
here
and we've grown closer and we've all
gotten better
on how we do this. And to echo what the
chief said, you know I was the XO you
know on October 7th so I'm fully aware
of the uh the concerns and the fears
of Stanton.
I'll stop in a minute then.
I think you got it.
Basically all the way March to April
from Flushing all the way to Fordham.
Yeah, I think they got the same
77?
Oh, I
Actually went off on my way through here
so I apologize.
and 1112 Park Place.
Those are the two locations.
Um
Post three and four, 664 Bergen and 664
Sterling Place.
Um five and six, we have 306 Albany and
1334 Lincoln Place. And our last post
will be in front of 667 Park Place.
So I just sold it.
With that we'll close our mobile but
they'll be the joint task force at the
mall. Both locations. And also we do get
counter terrorism time
officers um both locations
and all of them are community affairs
officers that uh
Any questions for the 77?
Do you need an increase in No.
Um so uh I
I want to say the Thomas is coming. I
just paid him to say that.
Um 94?
All right, follow me this year, no?
Everybody's there. Can I have everybody
line up?
I'm non-stop. You know the most legit my
number one guy. What?
My squad is the same thing, too.
Um New York is independent by Yeah.
You like the license.
Please.
Yeah, all the same. Well, thank you all.
Really enjoy being around. Everybody's
great. Looking forward to having a
having a nice safe holiday. Thank you
very
everything. Thank you. Let me get you
started.
I'll get you get to work.
Chuck, are you are you going to have the
the truck?
Chuck, do you usually have a hookup?
Make sure you weren't there. I know. You
usually in there. No? You were upstate
last year.
Oh, you're done.
Are you going to be in the Yankee? Okay.
Yankee, got anything? The patrol
division 79 got the soda
The hot soda and the Rogers? Yes, yes,
yes.
Okay.
Um two um uh the addition of Brooklyn
North.
Today I think this is the first meeting
that we're having in this room since
since it's been named the Chief Jerry
Nelson Musselwhite
that we're coming together for the first
time with this significance. I remember
my personal memory when I was first
assigned as a lieutenant in Brooklyn
North. The precinct and Chief Nelson
were both members here and he took the
time to speak to all the new lieutenants
individually at the time of that first
small touch. And that was his that was
his sentiment. He always had that touch.
He always had that persuasion with with
everybody. Uh whether you were
a precinct commander or a lieutenant or
a cop, I think everyone felt some sort
of closeness with Chief Nelson. And now
we have the Chief Bob Keep Askins as the
Chief of Brooklyn North. I know that
borough still is in tremendous hands and
only to highlight what happened with the
tally ambulances in London just a couple
of nights ago. And I know there's a
tremendous amount of fear the Jewish
community felt when the phone rang with
the season of the holiday ground. We all
know
about it. You know, every day since. So
I know the fear of course is real. But
as we come together once again, Chief
Askins, Chief Bobby Golden,
Kenny, the
tremendous tremendous leadership here
and precinct commanders, community
affairs, you all know there's no 12 to
8, 8 to 4, 4 to 12. There's no RDO.
There's no days off. Leaving with your
families on vacation,
phones are ringing, you're getting ahead
of things, you're troubleshooting,
getting phones when the day light hours,
hopefully light hours that work.
But you know, getting diesel for them.
But we're doing everything we can to get
resources out there with the community
through such a great partnership.
So I know we're looking forward to what
we have planned this tremendous
successful Passover. Once again, and
this is the first one with Chief Askins
Passover. I know it'll be it'll be
great. Look forward. I know Chief
Commissioner O'Neill wants to be here as
well, but he got called to the
Commissioner's office. The Commissioner
O'Neill sends his best to everybody. And
again, you know, Chief Askins close to
us. He's got a problem with that. He's
not from the 88th as well. And when you
guys are at your spot at the Avenue C
entrance, and you guys just know that
you guys are the leaders here.
People in this group, nothing in this
world came from Brooklyn South, but
that's how the park where I came from
personally. I know that the precinct had
a really good relationship with um
I know the entire the entire apparatus
here. We should not just take this for
granted that, okay, we had another
meeting. Yes, it was nice and
successful. We should really think just
how much has been accomplished here,
just where we came from. You know, when
it all started in 1960, the relationship
wasn't the way it is now. Sometimes we
get pulled over by the police, pulled
over to serious motor vehicle stops,
getting stopped by the police,
responding to a child choking. Look
where we've come from there. And now you
have the borough commander himself who
came and talked to his assistant, came
personally himself to set that tone that
it's his concern, it's our concern. And
that's what we're here for. And as you
see the work relationship that we have,
I don't think it's ever been better. And
that's a credit to everyone who's here.
And should give up even more success and
more great things to come. Thank you.
I would say that
It's a it's a pleasure to spend another
holiday season
with you all in Brooklyn North. I think
since 1997,
when I graduated from Grace Academy and
I went to Metro North,
I think maybe all but three years have
been outside of outside of Brooklyn
North.
But it's it's always it's always nice to
to get together. And you know, as the
years go on, it's I appreciate it more
and more.
Just seeing you all enjoying the holiday
season together. So, happy holidays,
everyone.
But the details that I know are the
importance of this, okay, to be visible,
just how your community affairs office
is doing a good job, you know, make sure
that you guys know that, uh to be
interactive with the community. And uh
the whole goal
is to make sure you guys have a
stress-free holiday cuz I don't want you
to be worried about anything happening,
but that comes with making sure the
presence is good. So, if you guys see
that there's not sufficient presence,
let me know
and you know whether it's a 90 77
79, please let me know. Let me and Kenny
know. I'll try to pull some more
resources like we did come in
and put them out here. Okay? We want to
make sure it's completely covered. I
don't want any gaps. I don't want any uh
you know
any worries that we're not we're going
to drop the ball cuz we won't. Okay?
We're here for you guys.
With that, have a happy Passover. I'm
not
