Hello kids.
Did you know that King Schlommo was so
wise? He could understand the language
of animals.
Sometimes, just for fun, he liked to
hide and quietly listen to what the
animals were saying.
One beautiful sunny day, King Schlommo
decided to take a little walk through
his kingdom. The birds were singing
cheerfully, the flowers were swaying
gently in the soft breeze, and the
golden wheat sparkled in the sunlight.
It was the perfect day for an adventure.
As he wandered through the fields, King
Schlommo suddenly heard a very unusual
conversation
coming from two donkeys.
The silly donkey looked curiously at his
friend and asked,
>> "What do you have there?"
>> The smart donkey proudly held a little
note and said,
>> "Look, this note says that King Schlommo
is the king of all the animals."
The silly donkey laughed.
>> Nonsense. The white lion, the king of
all lions, is our real king.
>> And then, being a little not so bright,
he accidentally ate the note.
King Schlommo stepped out from behind a
tree and smiled.
Since you ate the note, you will now go
and fetch the white lion and tell him
that King Schlommo is calling.
The silly donkey shivered. But what if
the white lion tries to eat me?
>> King Schlommo reassured him. Just tell
him I sent you in my name and he will
not harm you.
The silly donkey set off trying to
follow the instructions,
but well, he wasn't very bright, so he
ended up walking in circles.
Luckily, a friendly deer appeared and
asked,
>> "Hey, what are you doing all alone
here?"
>> "I'm on a mission from King Schlommo to
fetch the white lion,"
>> said the donkey proudly.
The deer thought for a moment and said,
>> "I can show you the way to the white
lion."
>> And so the deer guided the silly donkey
through the forest, hopping over
streams, ducking under branches, and
pointing the path all the way.
Finally, the deer and the silly donkey
arrived at the place where the enormous
white lion lived. And there he was,
standing in all his royal glory, his
magnificent mane shining in the sun, his
eyes sparkling, and his majestic smile
impressive and kind at the same time.
The whole area around him felt full of
awe and majesty.
The donkey and the deer stood frozen,
mouths slightly open, eyes wide with
excitement. The white lion was truly
enormous and amazing.
The deer took a deep breath and
announced,
>> "This donkey has been sent to call you,
White Lion, in the name of King Slommo."
>> The white lion's eyes grew even wider.
Then he roared joyfully
with happiness.
>> He leapt forward and ran as fast as the
wind toward King Schlommo's palace, his
glorious man bouncing in every direction
until he reached the king himself.
King Schlommo smiled and said, "From now
on, every month, you will let me ride on
your back around the city." so everyone
can see that I am also the king of the
animals.
The white lion bowed respectfully
>> with happiness, my dear king.
>> And so King Schlommo rode through the
city on the mighty white lion while the
town's people watched, cheered, and
shouted, "Blessed is Hashem, and bless
King Schlommo, King of Israel.
What can we learn from this story, kids?
Even silly funny mistakes can lead to
big adventures, just like the silly
donkey who ate the note.
Also, it's always okay to ask for help
when you're not sure what to do. The
friendly deer showed the donkey the way
to the white lion.
And remember, even the smallest or
silliest among us can do something
amazing if we are brave and give it our
best.
