first of all our family is very very
grateful to kahal and to everyone that's
involved
um our grandson
Ami has flourished it's incredibly so
um he was in a class
before that they did everything possible
but they weren't able to get anywhere uh
he wasn't able to read not not liud KES
not English but he was trying and we
were concerned that at some point he
would get burnt out he tried and he
tried and he tried and it got to the
point where he would refuse to read out
loud luckily Hashem always sends a Rua
and I met somebody who told me about
kahal and of course when I heard that
it's a special education program um for
children with learning differences of
course my stomach did some somersaults
and I felt like I wasn't sure what to do
but when we feel like that we're doing
such a disservice to our children
because really to have them in a place
where they're able to learn and able to
grow and able to thrive is what we
really should be
doing coming to
kahal made the
learning
more pleasurable for him he had
the instruction in a smaller environment
that made the learning much easier and
much more pleasant and I am so grateful
because the difference between how he
was in fourth grade and how he is now in
fifth grade he comes home and he wants
to read to me he wants to tell me how
his day was was I asked him how was his
day he says it was amazing it was
fabulous I loved it we learned so much
he loves reading at night never could
get him to read before and at the peso
seder there were 30 adults everyone who
knew him his aunts his uncles his
grandparents and he said I'd like to say
it's varara so everyone thought okay
it'll be a few a few seconds a few
sentences and Amy very proudly took his
beautiful haata
and stood up on the chair and read two
entire Pages while the group of 30
people you could hear a pin drop in the
room and there was tears coming down
their eyes because they knew that Amy's
confidence and his self-esteem had
returned and he was back to the
beautiful wonderful smiling child he had
been
before kahal has brought together all
the isas in our community with one goal
to make sure that every single child in
our community has the right to get their
proper education and kahal does it in a
very strong fashion there are classes in
so many isas where the kids are able to
function as regular normal healthy
children in great isas and all the
credit to this wonderful organization
kahal they have been the trend Setter
for so many communities to see to it
that children are held bem and it works
and now we we have a wonderful young man
now I'm we have the of having him in
oura a young man who has lived through a
difficult life yet he's thriving and
flourishing under the
EES of kahal I personally know of the
sck family Amy who is a part of this
program who has benefited tremendously
from the program and the family has
benefited tremendously from Ami's
progress and uh this program needs your
support and every dollar that you give
has a tremendous SCE in this world and
the next world to see to where the
Jewish children of every level can be
able to be children who are able to
learn Torah to be able to progress and
to become functioning members of Cl
Israel every Jewish child has the
potential to speak to the sh someday and
therefore a program like kahal is
extremely important to afford the
opportunity to every Jewish child to be
able to learn and to uh uh improve and
to be able to be a functioning member of
Cl Isel what a to have such an
organization in our midst that sees to
it that everyone gets the proper and
most wonderful
education may continue to flourish with
great continue doing the en Noble work
in our community
